/fgog/ VGL8 info

The VGL signups just opened, so this is a good time to decide on our new roster.
TL;DR: Just skip to the last paragraph.


>what is the VGL?
Also known as /vg/ League, it's a virtual divegrass tournament played between /vg/ generals for >fun, bragging rights and the possibility to have one of our players play in the /vg/'s 4chan cup roster.
It's played cpu vs cpu on PES17, so the outcomes are mostly random, but every team has one or two managers that decide the formation and tactics the team will use, so there's some room for standing above the rest.
It's streamed on hitbox, and the next vgl will start the 9th of June.

>is our team good?
We've played two leagues so far. In both of them we've managed to qualify easily.
The first one's group stage ended with us losing two matches and drawing one, and thus not making it into the knowckouts.
The second league's group stage saw us winning two matches and losing one.
The team went into the knockouts, but we lost to /ddg/ in the round of 16, a team which ended up winning the cup.
We're definitely getting better every league.

I'm just the guy in charge of making our team's aesthetics and running the roster polls.

>alright, now what?
We need new memes. Some of our roster is made up of old memes, and we need our team to stay fresh.
To keep a balance between changing too much and changing too little, we'll do it like this:
- Sack the whole bench. The players from the Starting XI stay, but their names can be changed to fit the newer memes.
- A spreadsheet will be opened to collect suggestions for new players, name changes and new music.
- After it gets closed, a first poll decides which 12 players make it in and take the place of the benched players (sacked players can come back if they get enough votes though).
- A second and final poll decides which among all the 23 players get to be starters, and the four most voted get to be medals (players with slightly boosted stats, which play all the matches).
With this method the oldest memes have a good chance of staying, but even new memes have a chance to become medal players if popular enough.
