- "Infinite dark expanse of countless colorful worms, decorating the featureless canvas. The inhabitants are rolled over by their oblivious creators like dirt. We happened upon this place, just another place, but we didn't know. This is us."
- Object Class: Safe
- Written in informal terms. Will change to match SCP tone.
- A vast pitch-black dimension with low hume levels. Found when foundation portal opened here during testing with various settings. People who go to sleep appear somewhere here at the same time they begin (REM sleep) dreaming. Dreamers are designated SCP-xxxx-1. At a given time, the general race of dreamers match the timezone in which most people would be asleep. They travel the dream world generating features, such as flower fields, dark hallways, cities, and oceans within the void. When the dreamer wakes up, these features stay permanently without the dreamer, until another dreamer walks into them, replacing that dream with another dream.

- Map of known areas in the cross section of SCP-xxxx at 200 km down. Green is safe, Orange is hazardous, Red is lethal.
- (maybe use images of video games where character goes out of bounds, and the OoB textures are generally black. Examples include half life series, amnesia, outlast, 3D zelda indoors, etc.)
- D-class (entered the dimension through the portal) was thrown into a generated dream field without a dreamer present. Field contained a forest with furniture and cooking utensils placed orderly throughout the field or growing from trees. D-class interacts with the dream, but was unable to manipulate anything like the dreamers were able to. D-class was ordered to cut himself with a knife. D-class objects. Ordered again at gunpoint by sniper from outside the dream field. The knife doesn't cut through skin initially. The D-class, playing around with the knife, stabbed himself in the stomache at full force, which did proceed to stab through him.
- D-class was thrown into a dream field with active dreamer present. The area consists of a flower field. The dreamer is a child walking with its parents. Conversation begins between child and D-class. [we probably will include the conversation in a log. I have to show how uncanny the parents are. I'm expecting something hurtful, like the kid being an orphan. D-class says some things trying to make the kid realize he/she's in a dream and their parents are dead (just like the d-class's childhood)] All the flowers within the area rapidly turned to spikes. D-class was impaled and killed. Dreamer is unharmed.
- I was going to stop the article at this part, but I have another idea for this. When dreamers include sentient entities in their dreams, when the dreamer disappears, that entity stays, keeping the functions their dreamer gave them. They are designated SCP-xxxx-2. Some entities are based on real people or fictional characters, with varying degrees of accuracy, some being indistinguishable from the original. (in the parents' case, the child knew nothing about them, so they just laugh and have no face, and are made to just keep walking happily.)
- Many of these entities are self-aware, and eventually learn most of their situation. Many do not find another entity (at least to their sapience level) for a long time, but they eventually do, and they may create small settlements within SCP-xxxx to survive rare disastrous events, such as a dreamer walking straight into their settlement, replacing the area into something completely different. (worth turning into a tale?)
- Some SCP employees have been spotted in this dimension when the person in question was asleep. Their dreams consists of more dangerous material than usual. Testing hypothetical SCPs with these dream fields deemed unnecessary, since these anomalies are only as detailed as the Researchers' knowledge of them.
- However, these dream fields were useful for psychiatry, and rediscovering deep, hidden memories or thoughts. The dream field has been safe enough (not safe category, but dreamers usually appear with ample warning), to explore.
- When SCP-xxxx-2 instances were pulled out through the portal, they disappeared due to the expected hume level difference. Welp, sucks for those guys. tbh tho, it's not too bad to live in that dimension. It's hard to call any one spot in there your home, because of the constant shifting, but you eventually get familiar with the place and the change.
- Speculation of the distribution of dreamers spawn point within the dimension, the density of dream fields in the dimension, and how the dimension might be expanding to accomadate more dreams. A new project is proposed and permission was granted. Research is being undertaken to dive deeper into SCP-xxxx to find dreams past humans, pre-historic humans, animals before humans, and biological creatures since the dawn of life that may have been first capable of dreaming. Caution: dreams of alien life and SCP lifeforms may be encountered in this journey.
- (eventually, diving too deep was considered infeasible even with drones and given up.)
- Final addendum: Researcher Talloran and what seemed to be SCP-3999 were found within SCP-xxxx. SCP-3999 was powerless and seemingly unable to move. The event was viewed from a distance by agents. There were some deviations from the actual event written in Talloran's cellphone. SCP-3999 disappeared after the event ended.
- (actually, this final addendum might be really dumb and i should stop. However, it wouldn't hurt to actually try writing it first. And then I'll judge after if I should just remove this part or if it's worth keeping. Prob the former, but hey, it's writing practice, I mean why not, right? It's just writing practice... Maybe make it a tale instead.)
