  1. Day 8: Deserted
  2. I woke up to the feeling of an intense heat. I thought it was fire at first, but this heat definitely wasn't as intense.
  3.
  4. As I shifted around to regain my footing, I felt the loose sand beneath my feet. As I looked around my environment, I saw an infinite expanse of sand; nothing around me except for a lone camel, here to hopefully lead me to a better place.
  5. Having no experience with riding one, I mounted myself onto the camel as it started walking forwards. How did I get here? Where will I go?
  6. Nobody was here to answer my questions, to guide me on the right path, or to encourage my progress. Even when I know people who will help me out in troublesome situations, there are still some things I need to do on my own; this, I guess, was one of those times.
  7.
  8. I just hoped things wouldn't get any worse and that I'd find my way out of this issue.
  9.
  10. I was riding this camel for about an hour before it tripped on something and I fell off. Instead of hitting the firm sand of the desert, though, it felt like I was falling for a while.
  11.
  12. I eventually landed on some really hard ground: It wasn't loose like sand, but instead it was hard and jagged, like several points being stabbed into my back. As I got up for the second time, I looked at the ground and noticed it had become a very dull gray and filled with several divots.
  13.
  14. I rubbed my eyes, trying to make sure nothing got into them. Nothing changed. As I observed my surroundings yet again, I saw more and more things I didn't really want to see at all; craters, large boulders, as well as a flag posted into the ground.
  15. I somehow landed on the Moon.
  16.
  17. Not only was my predicament something I thought I couldn't handle, but now I was stuck in space, looking back at the world that my friends lived their lives on. I'd say it's my home, too, had I not been stranded, confused, and alone on a completely different celestial body.
  18. I honestly had no idea how I would get out of this, so I just stood there, watching the world spin silently as I was ready to accept my fate.
  19.
  20. However, it seems that an astronaut was driving around the lunar surface, much to my surprise. They didn't say anything when they saw me, but they motioned me to join them on their ride. Having no other real options, I accepted. I sat in an empty spot in the lunar rover the astronaut was driving, as we began to go to somewhere unknown...
