- There was a new Wyverian researcher around lately who's caught Azar's eye- well, sort of new. Azar had half noticed the man after he'd arrived a while ago, having arrived on the Argosy with the Captain just in time for the second siege on Zorah Magdaros, wide-eyed and eager to help the dire situation he'd suddenly been flung into (after all, it's not every day you arrive in the New World just to be told you have less than twenty-four hours to stop a massive mountain-sized Elder Dragon from blowing up the entire continent, with you on it).
- He'd caught Azar's eye at the time, but it was only for a moment, the situation at hand far more pressing. But then Zorah Magdaros and the disaster it'd almost brought were diverted, and for a short time all was well, Azar even taking the time for a brief vacation. He'd fooled around a bit while he had the time, but the greenhorn researcher had mostly slipped his mind, save for a feeling like he was forgetting something and a vague memory of strawberry hair.
- Alas, he grew restless, and was back to work in short order, just in time to hear about growing unrest in the new world- researchers and hunters getting gravely injured in the field from surprisingly powerful monsters, monsters invading other environments they weren't native to. This was found to be the result of Elder Dragons and other powerful creatures leaving the newly discovered Elder's Recess, due to Nergigante, an Elder that eats other Elders, stirring up the hornets nest. Not to mention a new threat- a rotted Elder that exudes effluvium- at the bottom of the Rotten Vale, thickening the miasma significantly every handful of years. Azar was then far too busy cleaning up those messes to have a little fun, aside from occasional quickies with some established flames between his many hunts. Definitely too busy to remember the cute new researcher who'd arrived on the tail of the Fifth Fleet.
- But finally, Xeno'jiiva was discovered and ended in one fell swoop, nearly taking Azar with it in the process. But survive he did, after a bout of bedrest, and the entire Commission celebrated their victory and the relieving of their original duties. The Guild decided they were important to keep around, to keep learning all the leftover mysteries of the New World, and they were allowed to remain in Astera. Azar, of course, chose to stay. This was his home now. This, the New World, is his world. Where he belongs.
- And it's only become more and more comfortable. He's had a fantastic suite gifted to him after the Zorah disaster was averted, converted from the old chapel that had been the Chamber of the Five. The beautiful stained glass window looks terribly lovely overlooking his now-suite, decorated lavishly and only customized by him further, adding more trophies and comfortable furs and a truly excessive number of fluffy pillows on and around his massive bed. Not to mention the vast amount of fluffy and feathery and scaly critters wandering about his quarters, captured and tamed from the wild himself. It's the perfect place to relax between hunts, and invite handsome men into.
- He's taken to relaxing more after the hectic schedule of the previous near-disasters. Of course, the lust of the hunt always calls to him before long, keeping him from ever growing truly lazy and never letting anyone forget who is the brightest hunter in Astera. The rest of the Commission have even taken to calling him their Sapphire Star, like the one from the Tale of the Five, the guiding light of all, as he guides his companions through hardship, it seems. He doesn't mind. If they want to make a messianic figure out of him, who is Azar to argue? After all, it just makes life all the more luxurious for him to have everyone fawning over him. Especially any men he takes a shining to...
- Speaking of which, that greenhorn researcher had caught his eye again, and he had to scold himself for not acting on that sooner, letting himself forget. He's seen the man around, of course, but was always on some other errand or something. Well, now the fellow has had a chance to settle in and start carving out his place in Astera, not to mention get a glimpse of Astera's shining Sapphire Star, see his feats for himself...
- But now, with all the time in the New World, it doesn't take long after noticing the Wyverian researcher before Azar makes his approach. Like stalking up to a wild Kelbi so as not to startle it, he finds the researcher at work, silently padding up to him on bare clawed feet. He's forgone most of his hunting equipment, so he doesn't even clink... Should the strawberry-haired pretty thing fail to notice the hunter, Azar will sneak right up to him, peer over his shoulder (leaning over him should the researcher be bent or sitting at a table as he works), and say very close to his long, pointed ear in a husky voice, "Hello there."
