Page 1

Panel 1:
Establishing shot of a warehouse. There’s a big busted silhouette on top of it.
This panel would take up the top half of the page. It’s night, it’s dark, the only illumination is coming from the building’s windows and doors.

Panel 2:
Inside the warehouse a man in a business suit has a crate for a man in an open tank-vest with spiked shoulders, neon colored sunglasses and a mow-hawk. He’s a most radical looking thug. Imagine there is a spotlight being cast on them from a hanging ceiling lamp.
This panel would take up a horizontal portion of the middle of the page.

Panel 3:
The crate is open with the two men standing over it, it's full of laser guns. The perspective is of them looking down into it so the guns are the focus.
Businessman: “The shipment, as promised.”
Rad thug: “Platinum City won't know what hit em. With these we'll finally be able to break into the BIG LEAGUES!”

Panel 1:
Golden Guardian drops from above, landing on top of the crate, one boot on each corner
GG: “You should just stay on the sidelines!”
Large panel on top of the page, establishing first look at GGu.

Panel 2:
GG kicks them both across the heads.
Floating panel below the first?

Panel 3:
Both men are tied together with ropes in the background as GG is going through the businessman’s briefcase. This would be a larger panel to give Golden Guardian more of an establishing profile shot.
GG: “This is the fifth deal I've busted up this week, I need to find out where the shipments are coming from.”

Panel 4:
Inside the briefcase is a very large laptop. This would be a circular panel in the bottom corner, probably obscuring GGu’s boots because that was a thing to do in the 90s.
GG: “A computer? Maybe it has some clues.”

Panel 1:
Narration box: Later, at Sterling Enterprises...
Audrey Page is at the help desk in her civilian wear, there’s a woman standing behind the desk, she has tall blonde curly hair, there’s a can of hair spray off to the side. Her nails are done up, her shirt is a little unbuttoned near the top. This panel would be on the top left.
Receptionist: “What can we help you with today, Ms. Page?”
Audrey: “I heard there's a new system admin and wanted to meet him.”
R.: “Ah yes, Mr. Power. I don't think I've met him yet either. I'll schedule an appointment for you.”

Panel 2:
The receptionist has the phone up to her ear, she twirling the cord with her finger as she waits and after more than a few rings someone picks up. This panel would be on the top right.

Panel 3:
Close up of the speaker phone since it’s on speaker for Audrey to hear it. I guess this would be a floating panel?
Phone: “Hello, this is the system administrator's office, is something wrong?”
R.: “I have Ms. Page here who would like to schedule a meeting with Mr. Power.”
Phone: “... I'm sorry, but Mr. Power is very busy creating the database for all of Sterling Enterprise's documents at this time. His schedule is completely filled. Goodbye.”

Panel 4:
The receptionist looks at the phone incredulously while Audrey is just smiling as if she’s laughing it off. Audrey is leaning on the table with her arms so she could be closer to the speaker on the desk.
R.: “Rude. She hung up.”
Audrey: “That's fine, I'm sure we'll bump into each other eventually. I've met everyone else working here already.”
R.: “I'm not so sure. No one I've spoken with has ever actually seen him before either.”

Panel 1:
Audrey is outside of the office building walking away from it. The building is large with a glass entrance and ‘Sterling Enterprises’ in big letters above the entrance.
Audrey (thinking): “I need to investigate this.”

Panel 2:
Narration box: Later, in Golden Guardian’s hidden headquarters...
Golden Guardian is in front of BIGRAC, the supercomputer, she is facing the screen with a sheet of paper in her hand. The screen is displaying lines of text.
GG: “Just as I feared. There is no paper record of Mr. Power, he only exists in the digital records.”
“What's more, he has a secretary, Ms. Keegan. She must be the one I heard over the phone. If she's real, then she can shed some light on this.”

Panel 1:
Narration box: Later that night, at Sterling Enterprises…
Golden Guardian is exploring the technology floor, looking at an arrow on the wall pointing towards the offices. It’s dark. The panel would be in the top left.

Panel 2:
GG has arrived at the system admin office and there’s light shining from under the door with the distinct sound of strokes on a keyboard coming from behind it. The panel would be in the top right.
GG: “No one should be working at this hour.”

Panel 3:
GG has opened the door. We are seeing the room from the perspective of over her shoulder. There are piles and piles of boxes, some stacked up to the ceiling on the left side, all filled with paper. In the middle of these boxes is a chair facing a computer terminal which is the primary light source. GG can only see the back of the chair, not the person sitting in it.
???: “I've been expecting you for some time now.”

Panel 1:
Close up of the chair which has swiveled around revealing a young teenage girl sitting in it Indian style with large round glasses reflecting the light (or not since the light source would now be behind her).
Girl: “The Glorious Golden Guardian... Audrey Page!”
SFX: Dun dun duuun!

This would be a full page shot of Sydney since it is the first time we see her. It is her very first introduction to the readers, so we want to get a very good luck at her entire frame.

Panel 1:
Waist up shot of GG with her arms folded looking very unimpressed. Long panel in the upper left.

Panel 2:
Close up of the girl’s face with a smirk, like she’s expecting a grand reaction any second now. Smaller panel in the upper right.
Girl: Aren't you surprised I know?
GG (off panel): “I'm surprised the mysterious Mr. Power is a little girl.”

Panel 3:
Waist up shot of the girl with her arms in the air in a shrug. Below panel 2.
Little girl: “I did what I had to to keep this job. And I'm not little, I'm a teenager, I'll be huge soon enough.”

Panel 4:
GG has two fingers pressed to her forehead looking a little exasperated, like a mother.
GG: “You know my name, so what's yours?”

Panel 5:
Full body shot of the girl, she’s pointing a thumb to her chest proudly.
Teenager: “Name's Sydney, Sydney Keegan. Remember it.”
GG (off panel or maybe in panel with another over the shoulder perspective): “Alright, Sydney, how did you get here?”
Sydney: “I answered an ad in the paper for the position and got it.”

Panel 1:
An extreme close up of GG giving a stern, almost motherly stare. Panel would be top left, really narrow panel to focus on the eyes. Sort of a floating panel.

Panel 2:
Sydney’s starting to sweat. Panel would be to the top right.

Panel 3:
The chair has spun back around quickly so she’s not facing GG as she talks. Panel would be right below panel 2
S.: “Fine, I hacked into the employee registry and filled the position with 'Mr. Power' then covered my tracks when the job was mine.”
GG (off panel): Do your parents know where you are?
Sydney: “They do not, and they don't care.”

Panel 4:
GG from the waist up looking concerned reaching a hand forward. I’d be more of a wide shot.
GG: “Sydney-”

Panel 5:
Sydney as spun back around, she has one hand on her chest and the other hand is pointing a finger at her glasses. It’s a big top panel.
S.: “Don’t go there. I've heard this all before. You see these glasses on my face? I had to pay for them myself with my own money that I earned. Don't go telling me they care.”

Panel 1:
GG has relaxed her shoulders in like a sigh. Panel would be like a floating middle panel.
GG: “OK, we'll discuss that later. How do you know my name?”
S. (off panel): “I actually have been working you know.”

Panel 2:
Sydney has her arms in the air, it’s a zoomed out shot of the room with all the boxes in it and her in the middle. Middle placement on the page.
S.: “Sterling Enterprises has kept detailed documents of everything from the past 50ish years, and I have copies all right here in this room!”

Panel 3:
Sydney is holding up a folder full of papers. Panel would be to the left.
S.: “It's hard to miss all the business expenses titled "For the future" or "For justice" or other vague phrases.”
“Color me surprised when the funds weren't being embezzled and there were actual sales records for electronics, raw materials, custom blacksmithing and tailoring.”

Panel 4:
Panel would be to the right of panel 3, Sydney is pointing to an entire box:
S.: “So much tailoring. That's really what gave it away.”

Panel 5:
GG is blushing a little and looks embarrassed as she has her arms tucked under her chest. Panel would be to the right of panel 4.

Panel 6:
GG is standing in front of Sydney’s chair, leaning over she she can place a hand on the back of it and smiling. Sydney is also smiling, beaming really. Panel would be at the bottom of the page.
GG: “So you do know code. Think you can help me crack open a laptop?”
S.: “Are you kidding? I learned code by fixing arcade machines. A mass marketed machine is not a problem for me.”

Panel 1:
Narration box: The next day, Platinum City Port...
GG and Sydney are standing in front of the large doors of a cargo loading warehouse. It's open and full of shipping containers with a second story catwalk wrapping around the interior as well as a crane. Sydney is wearing normal clothes, but with a jacket on top and sunglasses. We’re seeing them from behind.
GG: “You're sure this is the place?”
S.: “Positive. You just go in there and make some noise so I can get to their office upstairs.”

Panel 2:
Close up of GG with a hand over her eyes to block the sun so she can really look into the place.
GG: “We don't have any solid proof right now, I'd like to stake the place-”

Panel 3:
GG has a surprised look on her face, Sydney is no longer standing beside her, she’s now by the entrance to the cargo loading warehouse. The perspective would be from behind GG looking towards the building with Sydney pressed up against the wall.

Panel 4:
Sydney has her hands up on either side of her mouth as she inhales deeply. It’d be a floating panel off to the left side.

Panel 5:
A bunch of men sitting around a card table have shocked expressions as the shouts echo through the warehouse.
Sydney (off panel): “HOLY CRAP! THE GOLDEN GUARDIAN HAS FOUND US OUT, SHE'S HERE FOR THE SHIPMENT!”

Panel 1:
Sydney is giving a thumbs up as the lower half of her body is already disappearing behind a shipping container (Think of the meme If I see that fucking cat one more time…) Panel would be upper left.

Panel 2:
GG stares in disbelief.
Thugs are in the background (or off panel) shouting "Dammit, she really is here!"

Panel 3:
The perspective would be from the ground behind where the thugs are standing. GG (making what I imagine to be something like the Hank face from venture Bros) puts up her fists to get to work punching dock workers and men in suits coming at her with pipes.

Panel 4:
Sydney is casually walking up the catwalk stairs, behind her in the distance GG is punching a guy in the face in the large door opening.

Panel 1:
Sydney is hiding in a corner at the top of the stairs behind a stack of metal folding chairs. Panel is top left corner.

Panel 2:
The perspective is from the ceiling corner above the catwalk. Sydney is casually on the catwalk with a metal chair under arm, down below GG is using a shipping container hatch to block gunfire from uzis. Panel is in the top right.

Panel 3:
Perspective is from behind Sydney’s shoulder as she opens the office door. There’s one man facing away from her in the room at a computer screen. Middle left. Sort of a floating panel.

Panel 4
Sydney smashes the metal folding chair across the now knife wielding man’s face. It’s a big action panel that takes up most of the bottom of the page.
S.: “Chair to meet you!!”

Panel 5:
Sydney is sitting in front of the keyboard on the now open folding chair. It’s like a floating panel in the lower right.
S.: “That was lame, I should’ve said ‘take a seat’.”
S.: “You guys made this too easy for me. Shipment destination changed. And send.”

Panel 1:
Sydney is standing on the catwalk outside of the office. She’s leaning down with her elbows on the railing so her hands are supporting her face. The perspective is from behind as she’s watching GG below throwing a man at his fellows. The panel takes up the top of the page.

Panel 2:
The angle turns around and shows Sydney has a big goofy grin on her face. Panel is middle left.

FLASH BACK

Panel 3:
Narration box: Years ago…
A much younger Sydney is standing in front of a big glass window with TVs on the other side. On the TVs shows GG fighting Iron Assailant in a boxing ring. GG is standing triumphantly with an arm raised in the air.

Panel 4:
Announcer: “And she's done it, folks! The Glorious Golden Guardian has finally K.O.'d the Nefarious Iron Assailant after 22 rounds!”
Close up of young Sydney’s face. She's dirty, has a black eye and is covered in scrapes.
But her eyes are in awe at the sight of GG.

Panel 1:
Perspective is from the ground of the warehouse. Some of the thugs are rushing out of a shipping container holding the laser guns. In the background Sydney is seen on the catwalk with an exclamation point above her head, indicating that she has taken notice. Panel is top left.

Panel 2:
GG is facing a line of men wearing suits pointing their laser guns at her. She has her fists up. There’s a large shadow on the ground off to the left. Panel is top right.
Boss thug: “This is the end for you, Golden Guardian! You might be fast enough to dodge a bullet, but I doubt you can move at light speed!”

Panel 3:
SFX: WHAM!
A shipping crate drops between her and the thugs. Takes up the middle of the page.

Panel 4:
Sydney is sitting in the crane operating seat giving GG another thumbs up. Small circular panel off to the right side.

Panel 5:
The thugs fire their lasers at the shipping crate melting a hole right through it.

On the other side of the smoking hole in the crate, no one is there, GG is already gone. Top right.

Panel 2:
Close up of the boss thug’s face, his laser gun still steaming in his hands. Top left.
Boss thug: “Ah shi-”

Panel 3:
GG in a flying kick pose, her boot connecting with his jaw.

Panel 1:
Sydney and GG are walking side-by-side away from the warehouse which is now surrounded by police. GG’s arms are by her sides, Sydney’s are up and behind her head. Large panel that takes up the top of thep age.
S.: “See, worked like a dream. The next weapon shipment is heading into a police trap and the manufactures will be caught with their pants down.”
GG: “That was pretty clever.”
Sydney is smiling: “Wasn't it? I've been thinking...”

Panel 2:
Close up of Sydney’s face, still smiling
S.: “We make a good team, and you seem to need someone with my set of skills around.”

Panel 3:
GG puts a hand on her head, running her fingers through her hair.
“I’ll think about it.”
