  1. My opinion on all things config
  2.
  3. Horses: They really aren’t that bad, if you have one it eliminates the ability to melee and everyone storages pretty predictably on horses so they aren’t too hard to kill. If they weren’t glitchy on arctic I would host with them on, with healing and armor off.
  4.
  5. Wolves: Yeah they’re annoying to fight, but they are only impactful when you have a ton and the only way you get a lot of bones is from desert temples or if you cave all game. They’re useless at range and give you a disadvantage in dig down fights since they give away your location and can get in your way when you try to dig.
  6.
  7. Splash: Really stupid there should not be a feature that instantly ruins your game. If poison lasted for like 5 hearts MAX it might be ok, but considering if you have poison you also have speed and strength it’s kinda dumb.
  8.
  9. Strength: The problem with strength is that the people who go get it every game only get full iron and just feed their pots to one of the good teams which locks in their win 100%.
  10.
  11. Absorption: People play way too defensively on Reddit for absorption to be good especially considering 1.8 arrow/water mechanics since you can jump in water and not die
  12.
  13. Bookshelves: I Think they’re bad but they got disabled before fire aspect and flame were. I think if nether was off and you could only place 11 bookshelves (less than lvl22) they wouldn’t be awful since you have to base your whole game around them if you do use em.
  14.
  15. Fire/Flame: the reason they were disabled was because they were way too easy to get with the 1.8 enchanting system. They work alright in a badlion environment where they’re pretty rare which is why the “only from found books” option is the best IMO.
  16.
  17. Notch Apples: This is probably my least favorite. Notch apples are essentially ruining your own game to ruin someone else’s. Every time someone has a notch apple, they just run until they can find a cave they can jump in regardless if it’s meetup or not, then eat it and the person can’t get out even if they noticed it instantly. Hosts are too lenient to ban people for that and I have died to someone jumping in a cave at meetup too many times now. To use a notch apple right requires you to break meetup rules whic is stupid as hell.
  18.
  19. Villager Trading: The fact that you have to base your whole game around trading makes it okay. Unless It’s veinminer hastey boys it’s not easy to get something. Also villages with valuable trades with reasonable prices are rare enough that’s its about the same as finding a dungeon with a book in it.
