Returning to NY City, Danny learns that his childhood friends that runs his parents company has doubts that it is the real rich kid that is entiled to run the family buisness. Danny has assumed a great power with advanced marshal arts skills. Danny 's is bestowed the responsibility to defeat a secret organization called the hand.
 55. Danny Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist
 56. Don't be deterred by the negative reviews. If you didn't read them, you should know that most critics gave Iron Fist poor reviews because of "whitewashing" and "cultural appropriation". Unless you've got a stick up your arse, this shouldn't bother you. Iron Fist has been a white American character for more than 40 years, so it's no outrage that the writers have decided to keep that.

That nonsense aside, the show is actually pretty good. Perhaps it doesn't live up to the other Marvel/Netflix shows, but due to the standard they set, I can't complain. Finn Jones is appropriate casting for the extremely naive and troubled Danny Rand. He performance is appropriately comical, and often over-the-top, but he's the right fit. The supporting cast is also a strong point. Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing may not be the most developed character, but she's an entertaining sidekick and gives a fine performance. However, it's the morally ambiguous and fascinating trio of the Meachum family who stand out the most. Instead of one simple villain, the show offers us this set of characters, who often switch sides and make surprising decisions, making the audience constantly question who's side each one is really on. They're manipulative, complex and occasionally vicious, this is an enthralling trio of characters whose storyline makes for captivating viewing.

The action is similar to what we saw in Daredevil, and there are some particularly good fights in the final few episodes. The plot itself is strangely unfocused, bouncing between multiple story lines and never really forming one cohesion plot, but this is a minor flaw. If this was a book, it would be a page-turner. There are no particularly weak episodes, so if you were disappointed when Luke Cage lost steam at the end, don't worry - that doesn't happen at all here.

By the end I was satisfied that I watched this, and am glad I gave it a try despite the uncalled for negative reviews. If anything, don't let critics decide what you watch. Make an opinion for yourself. If you liked the other Marvel/Netflix shows, you'll almost certainly like this. Bring on The Defenders!
 57. Going into Iron Fist, I was expecting the same quality as Marvel's other Netflix series, which I generally liked. Unfortunately, there are a myriad of problems with this show.

First, the fight scenes: for a show called "IRON FIST", which is about a MARTIAL ARTS MASTER, I would expect that the fight scenes would be very well done and would showcase the actor's fighting talents. However, the fight scenes in this show (leave one or two quick fights here or there) are mostly terrible. While the camera-work is okay, there are very quick cuts that make it look like the director is attempting to hide the fact that the actors learned their choreography 15 minutes before shooting.

Dialogue is repetitive (notably when it comes the the main character, Danny Rand) and confusing at times, with actors spouting off dialogue that directly contradicts the actions that people took in previous scenes. I am unsure as to if this is a result of considerable re-shoots, bad writing, improvised dialogue, or some kind of editing problem.

The show is not well-cast, especially when you compare the casting in this show to the casting of say, Daredevil or Jessica Jones. Acting quality is all over the place. While some actors give it their all, other actors are not up to par.

Last, the story is fairly basic and is stretched across way too many episodes. As I was watching this, I could only think of how much better the show would be if it was eight episodes instead of thirteen.

I generally like Marvel's comic book film/TV adaptations, and I really wanted to like this show, but it is not worth watching, even if you are a die-hard fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
