I would like to take the time to suggest a new job: The Mammeteer, or Simulacrumator (Simulator). This job uses scouting gear, and falls under "Physical Ranged DPS." The difference between this job and other Physical Ranged DPS is that the Mammeteer's own attacks are medium-ranged, while long-ranged/large distance attacks are done by the Mammets themselves. The Mammets in question are completely AI-Controlled and, like Final Fantasy XI, only respond to the Mammeteer using "Maneuvers." These Maneuvers can be actions like "Targeting Maneuver," which will tell the Mammets to attack an enemy, or "Detonation Maneuver," which will order the Mammets to explode doing large amounts of damage to nearby enemies.

The Mammeteer first obtains a Mammet at Level 30, with the trait "Mammet Certification." Which unlocks the Aether Reservoir. The Reservoir fills up as the Mammeteer does certain attacks. Gauge can be spent on Deploying the Mammet and Maneuvers like the aforementioned Detonation, or special actions such as burst attacks or combination attacks. As the Mammeteer gains higher level (IE: 60), the gauge is expanded to show how many Mammets are currently deployed with small Mammet head icons. When Mammets are dismantled, Detonated or Destroyed, their parts dissipate into aether as per the way the Mammets are constructed.

Maneuvers will order all deployed mammets at once, due to limitations of the Mammeteer's Weapon: Aetherial Conductors. The weapon is fitted onto one of the user's arms and that same arm's hand, and as they reach out, they pull on the Aetherial Strings that bind the Mammets. These string effects, along with the glove itself, will change design with each variant of the weapon. Such as the strings being basically fire if one was made for Ifrit. The Mammeteer themselves have access to an Aetherial Deployment System attached to the glove's palm that uses aether to construct the mammets and construct the aether required to do the various actions the Mammeteer needs, this is fixated on the palm as a sort of half-orb crystal. The crystal varies in color and design based on the weapon's design. If possible, a gauge designed into the side of the arm fixture would indicate how much Aether is stored in the Reservoir of that Mammeteer.
