  1. So earlier today, while at work, I listened to an audiobook called The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. It's a self-help book whose basic thesis is that little decisions you make build up over time to lead to great things, similar to compound interest. One of the things Hardy recommends in the book is taking a habit of yours and tracking it for a week (The idea being it's a habit you'd like to change). In my case, that habit is going to be "Idle Internet Time", where "idle" is basically "time spent on social media/drifting along the web/focused on Twitch/on Discord/etc." I get the feeling the results will be frightening; even doing this for about 9 hours, I'm not exactly encouraged.

  3. To that end, if you see me not on my various online hangouts as much over the next little while, don't worry about me, I'm fine. When I'm doing stuff that requires the computer, I just need to make sure I'm focused on the stuff I'm doing (Writing, etc), not the various online distractions is all. Hopefully I'll have some things to show for it at the end of it all!
