hometown: busan, s. korea. his parents died in a house fire when kenji was 5, and he moved to s. korea to live with his uncle. soon after his uncle died of old age, he was moved into an orphanage in busan where he currently resides.

family: aunt, who is the only other living member. 38. lives in osaka, but visits from time to time.

background: he was born in osaka, japan, where his mother and father lived. his then-baby brother, mother and father died in a house fire when his mother left the hob on while trying to put his broher to sleep. after that, he moved to live with his uncle in seoul. he was at an old age, and when he finally died, the only living member of the family (his aunt) admitted him to an orphanage in busan. he was admitted when he was 10 and has lived there for 5 years.

personality: your general normal schoolboy that trys a bit too hard at acting normal, rarely shows his true, scared side. he's fun to hang around with, since he's developed several traits (honestly, judgement, loyalty, to name a few) that makes nearly everyoneー if not be friends with himー like him.

personal looks: he's normally seen with dark colours, but doesn't over do it. his day to day look is usually an unbuttoned waistcoat over a contrasting shirt and leather jeans, with ankle high boots. he does carry a small bag but no one really knows what its for. (it holds a small journal and a pen, because he likes to write/ draw down his feelings wherever he goes). his colours tend to be pastels contrasting with dark purples, blues and greens.

school status: sophomore (i'm confused whether it's american schooling and it doesn't really help that im british so please EXCUSE if i get this wrong! but this sounds right¿)

reason for writing poetry: he had faced a lot of hardships in his life, from his parents dying and moving to and fro. writing poetry is almost like someone is there listening to him, and it's almost therapeutic. it helps him a lot, especially when he's upset.

sexuality: homosexual

habits: biting his lip when nervous, biting the skin around his thumb when bored, saying "osu" even when he's talking in korean, using japanese proverbs when upset, making anime references even if no one gets them, curls the page corners of his journal or a book when he's agitated or nervous around someone.

likes: prawn crackers, japanese and korean music, the colour pink, the anime "clannad", listening to music, tight jeans, chocolate spread, anything yellow and happy, feeling genuinely happy and his friends.

dislikes: rudeness, violence, blood, heavy metal, loud noises, anything baggy (it makes him feel heavy), water, burning things, darkness and feeling alone.

things they find attractive:

when a boy wears really tight clothing to show off athletic frame or muscles, etc. (he'll never admit it, but he likes bubble butts too)

when someone gives him a hug, and they fit together like puzzle pieces. (he's obsessive over this)

music tastes: he likes happy music with a happy ending, with a catchy beat. his favourite group, as of late, is NCT DREAM because of their song "Chewing Gum"

wonderful traits: he loves to be happy, and basks in the task of being happy. some even refer him to as "the school flower", but this title isn't really set in stone.
he trys hard to make anyone and everyone feel at home, despite what they're personality might be like

horrible traits: he is horribly hypocritical and always picks on people's flaws, which he hates about himself. he also hates that he showcases most of these flaws himself, though most can't see because of his happy-go-lucky personality

hobbies: writing, drawing, painting, watching anime, looking after the children in the orphanage and going out with friends

what keeps your character up at night: everything bad about himself. he's like a werewolf; in the morning you see the most happiest person alive, but at night that all changes. he worries: what if people see? what if someone finds out about my parents? what if they don't see me in the same way as they did yesterday?
this is the main reason why he turned to poetry; all these thoughts are answered through poetry, and he finally gives his mind a rest from thinking.
