  3. In general, Yang wants to combo into his Torou Zan/Mantis Slash/Rekkas, then teleport/superjump divekick into pressure that will lead into either a throw or another rekka series. Both of these knock down, so you will try to continue this until the opponent is dead.
  4. Also, as a hard rule: light normals only combo into EX Rekkas, while medium and heavy can combo into either EX or normal Rekka (EX startup is 7f, normal version is 8f - this also means any punish you need a Rekka for you should go for HP Rekka each time).
  5. Also, this post will have nothing on Seiei Enbu. Go watch matchvids instead.

  9. Confirms
  10. Since the first LP Rekka is only -1 on block, you can use it to confirm for meterless damage. Watch out though - good players know how to red parry the rekka cancel, so you might want to do other stuff (like cr.MK, cr.MK [gets hit because they were high parrying] xx LP Rekka).
  11. (Yang has no meterless confirms off light normals.)
  12. cr.MK/close st.MP xx LP Rekka, confirm into HP, HP Rekka - 28/29 damage (cr.MK to beat high parries, st.MP to beat lows.)
  13. If you have EX though, you can do these confirms too:
  14. cr.LK x2 xx EX Rekkas - 35 damage (low option)
  15. close st.MP, st.LK xx EX Rekkas - 39 damage *(involves a pretty simple link. Use this to beat low parries.)
  16. cr.LP x2/3 xx EX Rekkas - 32 damage (I think cr.LP goes a bit further than cr.LK, so I like throwing this out sometimes as a low risk way of catching dashes, especially in the Makoto matchup)

  18. You can also use your punch target combo to confirm into super:
  19. st.MP > st.HP > b.HP xx SA2 - 48 damage (I don't really think the damage is too worth it, though the nice thing is that this target combo usually works from far st.MP too, so it's useful in footsies. If you're too far the b.HP drops though, so be careful.)

  21. Yang's punish combos aren't too different from his confirms.

  24. close st.MP xx HP Rekka x3 - 30 damage (optimised!)
  25. With EX your highest damage is actually the same as the st.MP confirm I posted earlier.

  28. Palm (QCB+P) xx SA2 - 53 damage (Palm takes so long to start up this is impossible to either confirm or use as a punish. This is basically dizzy only.)

  39. LP: -4, MP: -8 HP: -12

  44. So if Yang does one MP Mantis, he's -5 on guard.
  45. But if he does MP or HP Mantis then adds a LP Mantis, he's a bit safer: -4 on guard.
  46. Even three mantis (last LP) are safer than one HP mantis: -7 vs -9
