  1. If you want more of Higher Brothers, just check out Sleepy Cat, Fat Shady, Ty., 3Ho, Lil Shin, Ansr J, and Free T, ... Because that's who they left behind. They're called the "CDC (ChengDu)" Sleepy Cat is especially talented. J. Mag also, but he's still with them. If you like Ma$iwei specifically, check out Tizzy T, who is not affiliated with Higher Brothers whatsoever. Tizzy T has had numerous online hits, which is not so common for Chinese rappers. He switches his style in each of them, so on one track you might here a little West Coast (LA) influence, in another he'll sound like he came from Broward County.
  2.
  3. On the flipside, if you hate Higher Brothers, and you want to hear people diss them, check out GAI (as I mentioned, the man is just hated lmao). Other big names/groups that hate Higher Brothers -- C-Block, GO$H, CSC (ChangSha, as opposed to the CDC), SUP, etc. The only group worth listening to is the CSC, and I wouldn't argue if you said that they're better than Higher Brothers. JarStick, also, had great disses and jabs at Higher Brothers. 活死人 Buzzy is fire, but I forget where he's from. Ranzer of CSC dissed him, and that was equally fire.

  5. Honestly the Taiwan vs. Sichuan beef is such a mess, and I can't keep up. There's a lot of videos on YouTube, and posts on Chinese forums, but I can't keep track of who is who, who is on whose side, and who did/said what, even though there are some really good disses. They all respond to each other, too, so with that many released tracks it becomes too difficult to follow. Also it's not really something I want to follow: Seeing Taiwanese and Mainland Chinese people dissing each other for reasons that are seemingly beyond Hip-Hop is sad, so I tend to turn my head the other way.
  6.
  7. I have to say though, GO$H, BRIDGE, that whole clique... Have some of the worst music I have heard. Jesus Christ, it's just so bad. I wouldn't recommend them. I feel like BRIDGE wanted to be like Ma$iwei or Tizzy T, but got lost along the way, and couldn't figure out how to style his hair or voice like them. So now he both looks and sounds disgusting.

  9. Unrelated to that whole beef, Jony J is a decent lyricist from Nanjing. He happened to have collaborated with GAI, too, so don't let me make you think that GAI is some all-hated figure.
  10.
  11. There's another popular rapper, PG-One, who comes from Northern China (Harbin). You can hear the South Korean influence in his music and look. He's decent as well, I guess kind of like a Logic or Big Sean. If you like that mainstream sound, he (along with Jony J) are perfect for you. They have music organized into EP's and tapes, and they have channels, so it's not so difficult to keep up.

  13. And obviously, VAVA. VAVA is taking over. The Cardi B of China. The Awich of China. She's worked with Tizzy T and killed a feature with him on a song called "U Pussy U Know It." She kind of sounded like Kamaiyah at the end there, too. Other femcees putting on -- Lizzie, who is a frequent collaborator to VAVA and fluent English speaker, and **SENA**. SENA has looks, flow, and lyrics down. I'm not a fan of her voice and personally think she sounds a little awkward, but I can't take away from her. She came from Shenyang, which really isn't a happening place, but made herself known. Respect is due. WENZI is another femcee, putting on from Taiwan -- very basic though. Of the femcees, however, YAMY is by far my favorite. She has the whole package for a strong rap track, displayed best in [乌鸦](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvZ1vliXJgw). It's catchy, has nice lyrics, has a nice flow, has a good beat and a killer bassline, ... Best of all, she doesn't sound awkward over it. She bleeds confidence, and that's what I want to hear. Runner up would be [VINIDA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJjjy56DoTQ), who is also killing it and kind of emulating the "ratchet music" from DJ Mustard/P-Lo. It's not unique, but it's killer for what it is.

  15. Chillgun, as his name describes, is very chill. Wavy guy. 2Real is another wavy guy.
  16.
  17. You all should know MC Jin. Came to Hong Kong, wore a gold mask like MF DOOM, dropped "Hip Hop Man," and killed it. Legend.
  18.
  19. I just want to take this time to mention that there's a Chinese rapper called "大傻," which means "Big idiot." And you guys complain about having uncreative "Lil" rapper names? Haha.
  20.
  21. There's a group called G$MOB, with YZ (popular in Japan and Korea, as well), Young B, and a couple others. But they are not good. Lyrics have absolutely no substance, they're repetitive, and sound extremely fabricated and unauthentic. This is coming from someone who likes to listen to Lil Pump's Gucci Gang, by the way. They have a movement called "TRAPEI" (Taipei + Trap) that has caught on and is, again, 'not good.' I would not recommend.
  22.
  23. It's not just a Taiwan thing though, this bad trap music. There's another group called BUSY GANG that is just as bad, if not worse, and from Shanghai. They had a hit called "Ganja Wang" and it was, again, 'not good.'
  24.
  25. There's this duo called "VROSKIII" right now that is getting popular and is kind of like the Chinese equivalent $uicideboy$/Member's Only. Here's a [sample](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beb8o5iPVXY). It's not my thing, but being objective, it fits in and does the sound they're aiming for pretty well. That song features YoungQueenz, who is actually fire, and that verse is not the best representation of him: [Maybe this is better](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDp-zfU64PM).

  27. There are a lot of Hong Kong rappers that are well-produced but I don't like their accent, to be brutally honest. Dough-Boy is pretty well-known, raps in English a lot, and collaborated with Higher Brothers' Masiwei [not too long ago](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQJ8lb88DWA). He sounds a lot like Dumbfoundead, but without the lyrical wit. Dough-Boy has a crew he constantly collaborates with, consisting of Geniuz F, Tommy Grooves (a singer, does all the hooks, but raps at times as well), and Seanie P.
