I was reading about the govt using Stingray to spy on phones.  You constantly see articles backing one side or the other, but that's baloney. If there's a choice between a corrupt government and clever criminals, choose neither. Just let them argue it back and forth; neither side should win so long as humans are as they are. You don't want corrupt government to prevail, and neither do you want clever criminals to prevail. They can fight it out in order to keep a sane balance. That's why we have lawyers ;')

If the human race ever evolves to the point where we don't have a corrupt government or clever criminals, maybe the issue will be resolved - but I don't see that happening anytime soon unless there's a vast miracle.
