  1. Pandoria
  2.
  3. "In The Face Of Our Citizens, We Are The Empire. The Empire Is Not Something That Can Be Measured In Hand-Spans, No Lines Encloses It, There Is No Mountain Tall Enough, To Overwhelm Us, The Empire. Our Days Are Boundless, Our Strength Is Our Law, And Mighty It Is Indeed, For We Are Invincible. From Our Lofty Abode The Empire Observes All, It Surpasses All, It Accepts All That Is In Accordance With The Law. Should Something Exist That Displeases The Empire, It Would Know Better, And Cease To Be." - Emperor Marech.

  7. The organization of the Pandorian Empire
  8.
  9. "Walls. Wonderful Creations, They Are. The Empire Saw It Fit, That We Encircle All That Pleases Us, With Walls. Our Land, Our People, Are Protected By A Vast Wall Of Light, That Keeps The Foreigners From Coming Inside. Foreigners Are Truly Disgusting. Like Pigs, Or Fleas. The Empire Despises Them.
  10.
  11. Nonetheless, We Have Built More Walls. The Outer Provinces, Outside The Lofty Plains, Are For The Sheep To Live In. The Ones Who Are Not Awakened: They Live Lives Of Precisely The Same Length, They Never Hunger, They Never Thirst, They Never Sleep. Indeed, These People Are Like Sheep, And I Will Call Them So.
  12.
  13. The Realms Between The Walls Of The Outer Provinces, Are Lands That The Empire Has Seen Unfit To Perform It's Duties As Administrator Over. They Are Lawless Lands, And Their Inhabitants Either Suffer, Or Survive And Thrive Some. Next, Is The Wall Of The Lofty Plain. The Lofty Plain, The Vast City About The Tree Of Time, Where Those That Have Stopped Being Sheep, And Become Human Live. The Ones Who Can Breach Past All Other Walls, Are Welcome Here, To Live As They Wish, A Long And Blessed Life. Thus Has The Empire Decreed.
  14.
  15. The Region Of The Tree Of Time Is Forbidden, To All But The Greatest Of The Empire. It Is Where I Host Those That Challenge Me. Indeed, Should Someone Wish To Rise Above, And Step Beyond The Greatest Of Walls, Into My Domain, I Shall Offer Them Whatever They Desire, And In Accordance With It, A Proper Test. Should They Pass, I Will Grant Whatever It Is That They Want, Even If It Is The Life Of The Empire, Or The Position Of The Empire Itself, We Are Not Stingy In That Regard.
  16.
  17. Such People Are Granted Grand Positions, We Accept Them As Our Brethren, And We Bestow Them Life Everlasting."

  21. Expansion over the whole world
  22.
  23. "It Is Indeed, No Hyperbole. The Empire Has Grasped The Whole Of This World: We Have Reached The Tree Of Time. Our Grand Effort, Has Borne Fruit, And We Have Established Ourselves As Mighty Over All Of History. There Is No Longer A Beginning Or End Of Our Empire, It Has Consumed All Possible Futures And Pasts, It Has Become All. Of Course, This Was Only Possible Due To The Rainbow Crystals, That We Found In The Desert, Long Ago.
  24.
  25. We Used Them To Enhance The Empire. Of Course, This Had The Disadvantage Of Destroying Most Of The World Around It, Indeed, Only The Auras Protected By Our Crystals Thrive, The Rest Is An Arid Desert, A Rocky Waste, Or Perhaps A Frozen Vastness. We Do Not Quite Care, However, The Ones Who Can Survive In It, And Reach The Lofty Plain By Their Own Merit, Are Indeed Worthy. They Are 'Travelers', Much Like How The Wise King Of The Lightning Lands Called His Fellows.
  26.
  27. Then The Empire Built A Vast Palace, In The Land Beyond Lands, Around The Tree Of Time. Upon It's Branches, We Have Built Our Dwelling, It Is There That We And Our Most Appreciated Vassals Live In: Those That Can Breach The Wall Separating The Lofty Plain, The Nation That We Have Built With Our Own Hands, From Our Own Radiant Palace, Will Be Elevated. It Is Guarded By Fierce Warriors, That We Have Put Up To The Task: They Are Invincible, But Will Allow The Worthy To Proceed.
  28.
  29. Our Throne Room Is Available Only To Those That Wish To Permanently Stay In The Palace Atop The Grand Tree, Whereas Our True Throne, The Seat Of Corona That Presides Over This World, Is Locked To All Within This World."

  33. Pandorian Society
  34.
  35. "There Is A Simple Organization To Our Empire: Originally We Opted For A Complex System, Yet We Have Long Since Seen The Error Of Complicating Such Affairs:
  36.
  37. The Lower Level Citizens Live Fairly Simple Lives: They Do What The Empire Needs Them To Do, And The Empire Offers Them A Simple Life, With No Trouble Or Struggle. Eventually, They Are Offered Several Years Of Peace And Time To Themselves, To Spend As They Wish, Before They Are Terminated. They Do Not Age Past A Certain Point Of Course... You May Assume The Empire Cruel, Yet I Fully Expect These People To Awaken. Break Pattern. Ascend. Shatter The Walls The Empire Has Caged Them In, So They May Awaken, And Become Travelers. And Once We Permit Them Inside The Cities, They Become Citizens True.
  38.
  39. There, They Have Higher Posts, And Significantly More Freedom, Their Days Are Counted Tenfold Of What They Would Normally Have, If They Do Nothing More Than Their Job. But Those Who Go Beyond What They Are Ordered To Do, Are Awarded Lifetimes. The Original Followers Of The Empire, Who Witnessed It As It Grew From Something Small And Pitiful Into Encompassing The World. These People Form The Empire's Grand Council, People Of Wisdom Who Have Observes The Ages Throughout.
  40.
  41. In The Process Of Decision Making, The Grand Council Faces Against The Imperial Assembly: A Gathering Of Pairs. The Assembly Pairs Contain A Governor And A Consul. The Governor Is The Appointed Administrator Of A Province. The Lofty Plain Has Twelve Governors, One For Each Region. The Consul Is The Link Between The Empire And The Province, Closely Working With The Governor. The Consul Can Also Take Part In Matters Of Law And Case-Settling. He Commands The Local Military Force. Each Province Is Governed By a Court, Which Is Headed By The Governor-Consul Pair, And It's Members Are Voted For Locally.
  42.
  43. The Immortals, Who Live In My Palace Are Exempt From Such Matters, While My Guests, But The Moment One Steps Outside The Palace, They Obey The Law, As Any Other Citizen, Lest They Be Destroyed."
