  2.
  3. [16:09] Qiao is, to be fair, visibly beaten the fuck up. The bandages on her very badly wounded arm are frayed, along with most of her exterior in general. There's an occasional forieng spark that makes her spasm from head to toe.
  4. (Qiao)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [16:09] "May we talk privately somewhere. I have an idea and also want to make a few offers."
  8.
  9. He said giving a warm smile before bowing.
  10.
  11. "I'm Nikolai Criss. It is a pleasure too meet you Miss Iosefka."
  12.
  13. He'd state.
  14. (Nikolai Criss)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [16:09] Iris Gwyn whispers something.
  18. [16:10] Lief Toran whispers something.
  19. [16:10] Iris Gwyn whispers something.
  20. [16:10] Lief Toran whispers something.
  21. [16:11] Tezoxochel idly fades back into view, with little a gesture. He just suddenly is, again.
  22. (Tezoxochel Coza)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [16:11] Iris Gwyn whispers something.
  26. [16:12] Lief Toran says, "..."
  27. [16:12] Lief Toran whispers something.
  28. [16:12] Touching Perseus is, perhaps, not the most pleasant thing in the world.
  29.
  30. As beaten up as Qiao apparently is, and as freely as she just about collapses onto him, she most definitely gets the full force of his (relatively-restrained) aura biting away at her. He feels impossibly cold, and within less than a minute of this contact, she might develop frostbite.
  31.
  32. So clearly, his response is to place his hands on her shoulder and push her up to a straightened, hopefully-steadier stance. His eyes fall upon her with a certain degree of interest and hunger at the mention of who he assumes to be Mythran.
  33.
  34. "Is this something we should talk about at length, friend? You have my attention."
  35.
  36. Sorry, Zenkichi.
  37. (Perseus)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [16:13] Iosefka Coza asks, "Fifteen mythril, and five orichalcum. While you fetch that, may I speak to this customer here?"
  41. [16:13] Lief Toran says, "So... Considering Qiao's body state, I suppose I missed something important."
  42. [16:14] Qiao is successfully straightened, the numbing of her attack in some decent effect lessening the extreme discomfort of Perseus'... aura? Condition. Whatever else it was, she doesn't seem, at least, overwhelmed by it. She opens her mouth, only to double over, coughing up heavily, a speck of blood or tweo splattering the grass beneath, 'for she uprights, and sniffles back.
  43. (Qiao)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [16:14] Qiao says, "... Keh. Yeah. I can. We. I'll tell ya. 'bout it..."
  47. [16:15] Demiier says, "Why go ahead, I have the time now."
  48. [16:15] Nikolai Criss says, "Lead the way miss Iosefka..."
  49. [16:15] Perseus says, "Mm."
  50. [16:15] Perseus says, "Hmmmm."
  51. [16:15] Lief Toran says, "Uh."
  52. [16:15] Perseus says, "This should be a fine enough place."
  53. [16:16] Perseus asks, "Need some painkillers?"
  54. [16:16] Qiao says, "... R. Right. I."
  55. [16:16] Qiao says, "Ferget it. I'm not hurt bad."
  56. [16:16] Qiao says, "I. I went to go... sneak north. Through the caves. Look for ores. Peak out..."
  57. [16:16] Qiao says, "I see. Mythran, Arie, across the waterway near Little Mame or whatever."
  58. [16:16] Qiao says, "Decided a quick "fuck that" was in order."
  59. [16:16] Perseus says, "Mythran, who's hung around Crafthold in the past but has been relatively absent lately."
  60. [16:16] Perseus says, "Gotcha."
  61. [16:16] Qiao says, "But I guess I got unlucky. Because Mythran, and some guy I have no clue who they are, find me a couple minutes later, huntin' Mythril..."
  62. [16:16] Qiao says, "-- I always try and collect shit when I'm 'round there."
  63. [16:17] Qiao says, "He basically played lackey."
  64. [16:17] Perseus says, "Well, that's unfortunate for him, I suppose."
  65. [16:17] Qiao asks, "He told me he was "captured", but he still totally fucking attacked me right beside them, so that was--- KHH. KHH-- *coughing intensifies, for just a moment--* total bullshit, right?"
  66. [16:19] Perseus says, "Sounds like whether or not it is, it's, uh."
  67. [16:19] Qiao says, "He told the guy. Guy I dunno."
  68. [16:19] Qiao says, "TOLD him I was captured by Atl, and TOLD him-- "
  69. [16:19] Perseus says, "A great excuse to imprison him."
  70. [16:19] Qiao pauses, swallowing.
  71. (Qiao)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [16:19] Qiao says, "Told him that I idle around Crafthold."
  75. [16:19] Qiao says, "And that was why they were trying to arrest me. Attacked me when I refused ta come peacefully."
  76. [16:20] Qiao says, "They were whisperin' ta each other before they bowed up."
  77. [16:20] Qiao says, "It was a very. Quick exchange."
  78. [16:20] Qiao says, "He gave up everythin' he knew 'bout me in some nothin'-ass murmurs..."
  79. [16:21] Qiao says, "He didn't hesitate."
  80. [16:21] Perseus asks, "So, you spend a lot of time in the caves, do you?"
  81. [16:21] Qiao says, "I do. I sell ores'n'shit."
  82. [16:21] Qiao says, "Buy boosters."
  83. [16:21] Qiao asks, "Joe-anne's shop, r'whatever?"
  84. [16:21] Perseus asks, "Is activity picking up recently, then?"
  85. [16:21] Qiao says, "... Yeah."
  86. [16:21] Qiao says, "This is actually the second time I been almost arrested in there."
  87. [16:21] Qiao says, "First guy backed down when I said I'd kill myself if he caught me."
  88. [16:21] Qiao says, "These two didn't hesitate to try and force me."
  89. [16:22] Qiao says, "Even with me fuckin' wounded still from my Atl debaucle."
  90. [16:22] Perseus says, "I'll need to talk to Eiphraem about increasing our activity in the caves, then. Force them to be far more careful, if they want to do things like this."
  91. [16:22] Qiao says, "... Arie and Rayan were. Near that place, too."
  92. [16:23] Qiao says, "Those Jianghu big dogs."
  93. [16:23] Qiao says, "Didn't follow me into caves like the other two."
  94. [16:23] Qiao says, "But those four were roamin' tagether, seems like."
  95. [16:23] Perseus asks, "And you said this was all near Little Mame?"
  96. [16:24] Qiao says, "Yeah. I popped outta the... right by the island exit, and ran through Lil' Mame. They didn't react. Then I went and popped out nearer Gaiar, and I think. That's when they realized I wasn't no Jiang."
  97. [16:24] Qiao says, "'cuz those two found me in minutes."
  98. [16:25] Perseus says, "I think Eiphraem will love to hear this."
  99. [16:26] Perseus says, "Mostly because this means we have a place to strike that isn't in their heartland anymore."
  100. [16:26] Qiao says, "'You're being very hostile. He caught me too.' 'He's an alright guy I'd trust 'em.'"
  101. [16:26] Qiao says, "That's the kinda shit Mythril said at me."
  102. [16:26] Qiao asks, "Sound like an unwillin' prisoner?"
  103. [16:26] Perseus says, "Sounds like a particularly cooperative one."
  104. [16:26] Qiao says, "He's fulla SHIT."
  105. [16:27] Qiao says, "He attacked 'cuz he knew..."
  106. [16:27] Perseus says, "Mythran has a lover, I believe. Chico."
  107. [16:27] Perseus says, "A dryad. Once upon a time, imprisoned by Crafthold."
  108. [16:27] Qiao says, "I was gonna tell alla fuckin' Crafthold he was a spy. They knew."
  109. [16:27] Perseus says, "I think I might speak with him. Ask about Mythran - and about his disappearance."
  110. [16:27] Qiao says, "... Chico, huh."
  111. [16:27] Qiao says, "Gehennan. We've tussled. Made up. On decent terms."
  112. [16:27] Qiao huffs.
  113. (Qiao)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [16:28] Qiao asks, "... What's this, yellow-haired prick's proer name, again? Mythran?"
  117. [16:30] Perseus says, "He apparently used to know Nerzan, which is a little awkward all things considered."
  118. [16:31] Qiao says, "... Y'know."
  119. [16:31] Qiao says, "If he's sweatin' gettin' exposed for being a Jianghu-allied."
  120. [16:31] Qiao says, "Means. He can't reach his squeeze Chico."
  121. [16:31] Qiao says, "Can't go through Gaiar. Musta relied on Crafthold access to see 'em."
  122. [16:32] Qiao crosses her arms, fingers twitching, knees buckling against each other and ruining her attempt to firm herself up. She looks goddamn awful for the fact that she bears no serious new wounds. A reck of a woman.
  123. (Qiao)
  124. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  125.
  126. [16:33] Perseus says, "Altogether, I think that this situation is a wonderful opportunity, and that Eiphraem will thoroughly appreciate the information given. Mythran himself needs to be apprehended, but the bigger gain is that we know of their movements near Little Mame."
  127. [16:33] Qiao says, "... Yeah."
  128. [16:33] Perseus says, "We should really strike them there, soon."
  129. [16:33] Qiao says, "Definitely saw. Ran RIGHT BY Rayan."
  130. [16:33] Qiao says, "And Arie and Mythran and... somebody."
  131. [16:33] Qiao says, "Whoever "captured" Mythran, and initiated their attack on me."
  132. [16:33] Qiao says, "So at least four were there."
  133. [16:33] Qiao says, "... Wish m'fuckin' Lord was around."
  134. [16:34] Qiao shifts, starkly and without prompt but by her own words, into an air of brittle anxieties. She scratches troublesomely at her own bandages, and bleeds easily.
  135. (Qiao)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [16:34] Perseus takes in a long, deeeep inhale. Before letting out a long, deeeep exhale. His expression normalizes into a faint smile.
  139. (Perseus)
  140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  141.
  142. [16:36] Perseus says, "Mm."
  143. [16:36] Perseus says, "I think this all will be quite fun, in the end."
  144. [16:40] {Item} You drop Mythril Longsword.
  145. [16:40] {Item} You picked up Mythril Longsword.Dropped by Qiao. .
  146. [16:43] {Item} You drop Nyeshk x67.
  147. [16:43] {Item} You picked up Nyeshk x67.Dropped by Perseus. .
  148. [16:45] Qiao says, "... Take me with, when I. Heal, proper."
  149. [16:45] Qiao says, "I've been threatened twice and attacked once by these fucks."
  150. [16:46] Perseus says, "Normally I would wait for Eiphraem before making any decisions, but it would likely be a good idea to go ahead and send a force there. Perhaps with a scout, first."
  151. [16:46] Perseus says, "Invisibility potion, of course..."
  152. [16:46] Qiao says, "I'm. Flexin' and lockin' my knees but I can't stand up much longer right now."
  153. [16:47] Qiao says, "... Just bein' honest."
  154. [16:47] Perseus holds out a little thingy of lax essence.
  155. (Perseus)
  156. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  157.
  158. [16:47] {Item} You drop Lax Essence.
  159. [16:47] Perseus says, "I've been carrying this around for five years."
  160. [16:48] Qiao slobs it all over the top of her frayed bandages like an ANIMAL.
  161. (Qiao)
  162. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  163.
  164. [16:48] Perseus says, "All righty."
  165. [16:48] Perseus says, "I'm going to go organize some folk."
  166. [16:48] Lief Toran says, "Tch."
  167. [16:48] Qiao asks, "Uh huh?"
  168. [16:48] Qiao says, "Doesn't look like much 'round."
  169. [16:48] Perseus says, "Hmm."
  170. [16:48] Perseus says, "I need an invisibility potion..."
  171. [16:49] Perseus says, "I'll be right back, Qiao."
  172. [16:49] Qiao says, "... 'kay."
  173. [16:52] Qiao says, "... Oi. There's one for sale."
  174. [16:53] Perseus says, "All righty."
  175. [16:53] Perseus says, "Now, in juuust... a minute."
  176. [16:53] Perseus says, "We'll gather some people and go."
  177. [16:54] Qiao says, "Much as I might like to rip Mythran or whatever's throat out right now."
  178. [16:55] Perseus says, "I would like to take advantage of the opportunity while it's here."
  179. [16:56] Perseus says, "Lucan. Cho. Would either of you be interested in a small degree of mayhem? I still need some more, but... mm."
  180. [16:56] Lucan Illarian asks, "... What kind of mayhem?"
  181. [16:56] Iris Gwyn says, "Oh. Uh."
  182. [16:56] Iris Gwyn says, "About that."
  183. [16:56] Perseus says, "Dot dot dot question mark."
  184. [16:56] Lief Toran says, "..."
  185. [16:56] Iris Gwyn says, "Tinkerer's said that some Jianghu locals were - running out, around where Mame used to sit."
  186. [16:56] Perseus says, "Yep."
  187. [16:56] Lucan Illarian asks, "What kind of mayhem?"
  188. [16:56] Qiao says, "Yeah. I got jumped by 'em."
  189. [16:56] Iris Gwyn says, "Gone by now, though."
  190. [16:56] Iris Gwyn says, "Probably."
  191. [16:56] Lucan Illarian exclaims, "What kind of MAYHEM?!"
  192. [16:56] Lucan grabs Perseus' shoulders.
  193. (Lucan Illarian)
  194. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  195.
  196. [16:56] Lucan Illarian says, "I need this."
  197. [16:56] Qiao says, "They chased me inta the cave. Mythran and some guy I dunno tried to capture me."
  198. [16:56] Iris gently sets a hand onto Lucan's shoulder.
  199. (Iris Gwyn)
  200. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  201.
  202. [16:56] Perseus says, "The kind where we attack some folk, ideally."
  203. [16:56] Lucan Illarian says, "Please."
  204. [16:56] Lucan Illarian says, "Yes, yes I will j-"
  205. [16:56] Lucan Illarian asks, "Do I get to kill anyone?"
  206. [16:57] Lief Toran says, "Most likely."
  207. [16:57] Perseus says, "If there's some extra, sure."
  208. [16:57] Lucan Illarian says, "Wonderful."
  209. [16:57] Lucan Illarian says, "I will join."
  210. [16:57] Iris actually literally can't do that because she's a foot shorter, so she just kind of. Sets a hand on his arm?
  211. (Iris Gwyn)
  212. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  213.
  214. [16:57] Perseus says, "They might have moved out by now. I'm not sure."
  215. [16:57] Perseus says, "But in any case, I've got a potion to scout ahead."
  216. [16:57] Lucan glances down at Iris.
  217. (Lucan Illarian)
  218. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  219.
  220. [16:57] Qiao says, "Mythran's a filthy fuckin' spy, make no mistake. Please, kill 'em if you ever see."
  221. [16:57] Lucan Illarian says, "Iris..."
  222. [16:57] Iris Gwyn says, "Mayhem."
  223. [16:57] Lucan can't even finish his sentence, completely disappointed as he has to glance away from the young Gwyn.
  224. (Lucan Illarian)
  225. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  226.
  227. [16:57] Perseus says, "If they've reinforced, then we'll pull out. If they're gone, well."
  228. [16:58] Lucan Illarian asks, "In any event, where are we headed?"
  229. [16:58] Perseus says, "I figure we lie in wait nearby, or just spit on the ground in spite."
  230. [16:58] Perseus says, "We need some more people, first."
  231. [16:58] Lucan Illarian says, "Sounds good to me."
  232. [16:58] Lucan Illarian exclaims, "CHO!"
  233. [16:58] Lucan Illarian exclaims, "WAKE UP!"
  234. [16:58] Lief Toran says, "Well, I am in."
  235. [16:58] Lucan Illarian says, "... I believe she is in shock."
  236. [16:58] Lucan Illarian says, "We need strong people, little one."
  237. [16:59] Perseus says, "With five of us, we should be more than fine."
  238. [16:59] Lief Toran says, "..That's offensive."
  239. [16:59] Perseus asks, "Iris?"
  240. [16:59] Lucan Illarian says, "Keheheh."
  241. [16:59] Lucan Illarian says, "Yes, Iris can come."
  242. [16:59] Iris Gwyn asks, "Oh. Do I get to come along?"
  243. [16:59] Lucan Illarian says, "Even if she..."
  244. [16:59] Lucan Illarian says, "She..."
  245. [16:59] Iris Gwyn says, "Woo."
  246. [16:59] Iris Gwyn says, "Twenty."
  247. [16:59] Lucan falls silent once more.
  248. (Lucan Illarian)
  249. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  250.
  251. [16:59] Perseus says, "If you want, sure."
  252. [16:59] Lief Toran asks, "I am not weak, mind you?"
  253. [16:59] Iris Gwyn says, "No words."
  254. [16:59] Lucan Illarian asks, "You aren't?"
  255. [16:59] Lucan Illarian asks, "Can you even knock me down a single round?"
  256. [16:59] Lucan Illarian says, "Perseus can."
  257. [16:59] Lief Toran says, "I am not a god damn Demon, but I am strong enough to not be a burden."
  258. [16:59] Lucan Illarian says, "Hum..."
  259. [17:00] Lucan Illarian says, "I suppose that's fine."
  260. [17:00] Perseus asks, "Qiao, what about you? Are you coming?"
  261. [17:00] Iris Gwyn says, "I don't know who's stronger, between the two of us."
  262. [17:00] Iris Gwyn says, "Haven't had a chance for a round..."
  263. [17:00] Qiao says, "Of course I am."
  264. [17:00] Qiao says, "I'm stronger than Lief when I'm not fuckin' wounded."
  265. [17:00] Lief Toran says, "Depends on the day, Qiao."
  266. [17:00] Qiao says, "No. I'm better than you."
  267. [17:00] Lief Toran says, "Now you say that."
  268. [17:00] Qiao says, "Until I'm holding the Sinka, I'm better than you."
  269. [17:01] Lief Toran says, "Good point."
  270. [17:01] Perseus says, "Let's move, then. I'll lead. I don't want to take too long and end up letting them leave and wasting our time."
  271. [17:01] Qiao says, "... But take this. I'm already wounded."
  272. [17:02] Qiao says, "... I got attacked in the Kaor pit in Jianghu's caves. And they were in Little Mame..."
  273. [17:02] Qiao says, "Before they chased me in, that is."
  274. [17:02] Qiao grumbles in unmined ores.
  275. (Qiao)
  276. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  277.
  278. [17:02] Lucan Illarian says, "This kind of environment is wonderful for my fighting style."
  279. [17:02] Lucan Illarian says, "I do hope we find someone."
  280. [17:03] Lucan Illarian says, "Here we are."
  281. [17:03] Perseus says, "Okay."
  282. [17:03] Perseus says, "Wait here for me."
  283. [17:03] Perseus says, "I'll be back in just a moment."
  284. [17:03] Qiao says, "He's got some invisible shit. Keheheh."
  285. [17:03] Perseus says, "If I'm not back in ten minutes, things have gone wrong and I need saving."
  286. [17:03] Lucan Illarian says, "Yes, yes."
  287. [17:04] Lucan Illarian says, "Make it quick."
  288. [17:04] Lief starts counting.
  289. (Lief Toran)
  290. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  291.
  292. [17:04] Lucan Illarian says, "Don't bump into anyone."
  293. [17:04] Chico says, "He will not be able to walk there... I think."
  294. [17:04] Perseus says, "There are five."
  295. [17:04] Perseus says, "Chico is among them."
  296. [17:05] Lucan Illarian exclaims, "Oooh!"
  297. [17:05] Lief Toran says, "Not surprised."
  298. [17:05] Lucan Illarian says, "Kill, kill.."
  299. [17:05] Qiao says, "... So Chico's in on it."
  300. [17:05] Perseus says, "Arie Hon, Rayan, Mythran, and a man I don't recognize."
  301. [17:05] Lucan Illarian says, "Let us..."
  302. [17:05] Lucan Illarian says, "Kill them all."
  303. [17:05] Perseus says, "Blue hair. Dark."
  304. [17:05] Qiao says, "Yeah."
  305. [17:05] Qiao says, "The exact ones who were there before."
  306. [17:05] Qiao says, "Plus Chico."
  307. [17:05] Perseus says, "This might be very, very dangerous."
  308. [17:05] Iris Gwyn exclaims, "And fun!"
  309. [17:06] Lief Toran says, "We either ride or die. Or we go back and bring stronger people."
  310. [17:06] Lucan Illarian says, "Yawn..."
  311. [17:06] Lief Toran says, "Up to you, Lucan and Perseus."
  312. [17:06] Lucan Illarian says, "You're all so afraid."
  313. [17:06] Iris Gwyn says, "I bet Lucan could take like, any of them."
  314. [17:06] Lief Toran says, "Not afraid, I am all up to go there."
  315. [17:06] Qiao says, "I ain't afraid of dying."
  316. [17:06] Lief Toran says, "But I don't give the orders here."
  317. [17:06] Qiao says, "Give me an excuse to."
  318. [17:06] Lucan Illarian says, "Obviously, Iris."
  319. [17:07] Perseus says, "I'm willing to attack, but I have a stipulation."
  320. [17:07] Perseus says, "If any are captured, I need the first."
  321. [17:07] Lief Toran asks, "The first?"
  322. [17:07] Iris Gwyn asks, "The... first one captured?"
  323. [17:07] Lucan Illarian says, "Should I capture any of them, I can't promise they will have all their limbs."
  324. [17:07] Perseus says, "If there's more than one, anyone can have them."
  325. [17:07] Iris Gwyn says, "- If I capture anyone, I'm bringing them to Tinkerer."
  326. [17:07] Iris Gwyn says, "Assuming they're. The second. Or... yeah."
  327. [17:08] Lief Toran says, "So, I assume we are all willing to go get them."
  328. [17:08] Lief Toran asks, "Shall we?"
  329. [17:08] Perseus says, "All right."
  330. [17:08] Perseus says, "Let's go."
  331. [17:08] Lucan Illarian says, "... Iris."
  332. [17:08] Lucan Illarian says, "Come."
  333. [17:08] Qiao asks, "... Who's priority one when attacking?"
  334. [17:08] Qiao asks, "If this breaks down, who do we go after first?"
  335. [17:08] Iris Gwyn says, "From the sound of it, give Lucan Arie."
  336. [17:08] Perseus says, "Okay."
  337. [17:09] Perseus says, "Let's go."
  338. [17:09] Lucan Illarian exclaims, "Helllooo!"
  339. [17:09] Lucan Illarian asks, "Who's ready to diiiie?"
  340. [17:09] Lief Toran says, "Good morning."
  341. [17:10] Mythran Yugao says, "..."
  342. [17:10] Qiao asks, "... Ya thought I wasn't gonna tell EVERYONE?"
  343. [17:10] Iris Gwyn says, "WHOOOOO."
  344. [17:11] Iku says, "This should be INTERESTING."
  345. [17:14] This is clearly not a friendly engagement.
  346.
  347. Perseus leads the group with some perhaps-familiar faces following him. He wears Nerzan's face, and his skin is beset with petrifying cracks filled with what looks to be necromantic energy.
  348.
  349. His sword is unsheathed, and the aura of dread surrounding him fills the air with an unnatural cold. Blue and silver light violently swirls around him in growing motes of moonlight, budding into particularly large bubbles of mana.
  350.
  351. "Hello, strangers. I've heard that you've managed to attack dear Qiao here - Tragedy's pupil.
  352.
  353. I am not overly appreciative of that.
  354.
  355. If Eiphraem were here, he would tell you to lay down your weapons and surrender. As for Mythran and Chico -"
  356.
  357. His gaze slides to the pair -
  358.
  359. "I recommend that the two of you stay out of it."
  360.
  361. After which, his attention falls upon Rayan in particular.
  362. (Perseus)
  363. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  364.
  365. [17:16] -- Destruction, following in his path alone.
  366.
  367. Every movement from this man seemed only to bring about flames tainted by the touch of occultism with each and every stride. Burning, tainting even these lands he walked upon, as from beneath this inferno of flames a familiar pair of crimson irises stared back. Excitement more visible than anything else, body practically trembling as now more than ever it seemed a possibility to bring about what carnage he had demanded.
  368.
  369. "... Elsyreans. Jianghese. Dryads. Those who had once shunned me. Such a collection of filth I can't help but to wonder why my own kind stands with them?" Words booming with a sensation of power as now more than ever there seemed a reason to push himself. However, opportunities would always present themselves when faced with challenges. Glancing, staring towards both Chico and Mythran alike with a single nod to follow.
  370.
  371. "You two surely planned this, I'm certain. I find it best you stand to the side, allow us to begin what slaughter you have brought us all."
  372.
  373. Wonderful, simply wonderful.
  374. (Lucan Illarian)
  375. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  376.
  377. [17:17] … She's been treated. Bandaged, and this time her arm actually looks mobile, usable.
  378.
  379. She's fuming. Magmic earth clings to her in patches, and from the cracks magma drips, and scorches the stone below with stings and drips of bubbling orange.
  380.
  381. It's not the same Qiao that Mythran and Lapis jumped in the caves and beat on mercilessly, trying to wittle down to capture. It's an aggressive, an actively hostile, a fuming little Drakanite. They can see it, what she hasn't done in quite a while.
  382.
  383. Her thin, wirey frame bulks, swells. Muscles snap, nearly doubling in size. The Drakanite winces, grimaces, but then grows a harsh grin.
  384.
  385. She's not interested in a surrender at all. Revenge is on the mind.
  386. (Qiao)
  387. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  388.
  389. [17:20] There's an uneasiness in the air as the members of Crafthold approach, one that the Elsyrean couldn't ignore. Soft motes of light would begin to swirl around him in a protective shell, his expression softening into one of serenity.
  390.
  391. An Elsyrean. Nerzan's warped form, taken over by someone selfish for youth. Others he didn't recognize-- others who associated with the grimy ilk of Gaiar and necromancers. Yet he wore a small smile, a gentle hum emitting from his lips.
  392.
  393. "Her retainer attacked first," He remarked, a shield picked up from its spot against the bench. "You are the ones thirsty for combat, for a reason to pick on the people of Little Mame."
  394.
  395. His gaze would lock with the one who wore his mentor's skin.
  396.
  397. "You are nothing but people pretending to do good when you think of nothing but yourself."
  398. (Rayan L'Paix)
  399. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  400.
  401. [17:20] Lucan Illarian says, "Pretending to do good? I like to believe I am quite... Vile, such is my nature."
  402. [17:20] Lucan Illarian says, "Keheheh."
  403. [17:20] Qiao says, "I FUCKIN' WHAT? THEY TOLD ME TO SURRENDER OR THEY'D USE FORCE. FUCK YOU."
  404. [17:20] Mythran's deadpan gaze falls upon the edge brigade and Perseus.
  405.
  406. He yawned this was something he wasn't trying to deal with. "Sheesh." He had very few words for all of them. He didn't even know what the hell was going on.
  407.
  408. "Man..." His hand rests on the hilt of his blade he just was very confused, nothing was making sense at the moment. "Figured shit would get bad, but damn that was fast."
  409.
  410. "I guess we're going to have to fight, and I guess you're all going to have to lose. Eh... So confused..."
  411. (Mythran Yugao)
  412. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  413.
  414. [17:20] Rayan L'Paix says, "Oh, not you, Lucan. You're just pretending."
  415. [17:23] Qiao asks, "Motherfucker tells me. 'Come along peacefully... or we can use force'. And I told him I'd motherfucking defend myself if he took another step. THEN. HE ATTACKED ME. BUT I STARTED IT?"
  416. [17:23] Qiao says, "GO FUCK YOURSELF."
  417. [17:25] Lucan Illarian whispers: target arie then rayan
  418. [17:25] Mythran Yugao whispers something.
  419. [17:28]
  420. {LOAD GAME}
  421.
  422. [17:39] ** Mythran Yugao has inflicted an injury upon Perseus. ("Permanent Injury", "Permanent Injury", "Permanent", "Severity: MODERATE (-20 Vit)") **
  423. [17:48] A clash of titans, of eons past. The forms of Nerzan, Lucan, and Lapis had long ago fought on these lands in childish spars and talks of giggly games, but now...
  424.
  425. Rayan felt lost in the heat of it all, his shield barely keeping him safe against the raging flames of his opposite. Lucan Illarian, the Elsyrean who had fallen into the dark side of the world. The sharp knife of his former mentor now infused with moonlight. And for some reason, they had focused on HIM.
  426.
  427. But the melody of the world guided his actions, kept him going when the times were rough. Holy light would bathe his allies, pushing them onwards as the battle commenced. Bursts of wind and shards of ice would be infused with Exorcist essence, never harming those he called allies.
  428.
  429. And at the end, with heavy pants, he would find himself still standing amid a field of fallen. His gaze would briefly go to Qiao-- the foul-mouthed girl bringing a bit of a smile to his face-- before his attention turned to Perseus.
  430.
  431. Careful steps crunched against the frosted, burned ground. A golden helmet would be removed, a gentle hum escaping his lips. Squatting, he would stare at 'Nerzan', studying the injury given to him by Mythran.
  432.
  433. "Why?" He asked quietly. Rayan didn't expect a response. "Why did you steal his body?"
  434.
  435.
  436. (Rayan L'Paix)
  437. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  438.
  439. [17:49] The fight moved as expected, harsh and hard a known face he meet on the battlefield of other times, the eyes always where on Lucan, he knew how a danger he was...
  440.
  441. Lightning clashed while they fought, some got more than others, an injured among them... The lightning cracked until they would fall... one by one, the team fought together, union...
  442.
  443. Some of them would be able to escape... some not, the one's capped, Arie looked at them, one by one, looking at Lucan, this one stood no chance to go back, he had fear on letting this man a chance on life... he knew...
  444.
  445. "Lapis, execute the Chaos Magi, this one is dangerous... I know hwat this man is capable... the other's we will think later, but now... Cut the head... burn the body... The other's? We will decide in a minute..."
  446.
  447. The drakam looked down at each of the prisoners, no mercy on his eyes, just a rightful sense of Justice begin given... the one's who burned their city, they deserved death... but maybe... A use would be found...
  448. (Arie Hon)
  449. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  450.
  451. [17:50] Well shit talking isn't a thing anymore.
  452.
  453. The Magi clashed the battle was intense, Mythran's group looked as if they were about to lose. Things changed quickly. They focused the red haired man. The most powerful of the group.
  454.
  455. With him down the fight was very easy, the rest of the group dropping like flies. It was kind of sad honestly.
  456.
  457. Mythran's deadpan look vanished. He was in the heat of battle a time when he can only smile. Perseus somehow someway ended up losing an arm to Mythran.
  458.
  459. That sucked he was his favorite.
  460.
  461. The fight was over and the bodies were on the floor. It was ugly. Mythran's eyes widen as he took a few steps back. "Shit..." His attention was focused on the captured he frowns.
  462.
  463. Why did they even show up.
  464. (Mythran Yugao)
  465. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  466.
  467. [17:51] Arie Hon whispers something.
  468. [17:51] Lief Toran whispers something.
  469. [17:52] Arie Hon whispers something.
  470. [17:52] Arie Hon whispers something.
  471. [17:52] Lief Toran whispers something.
  472. [17:54] It was--- rather chaotic, if anything, and more than once Lapis found himself unable to comprehend what even was going on. From scorching flames, to the slicing winds, to the raging lightning-- it was total, utter chaos all the while. Overwhelming, to say the least...
  473.
  474. Even though it appeared as though they were the ones on the losing end at first, the tables turned rather swiftly, it seemed. For majority of the battle, Lapis only focused upon a sole figure; his childhood friend, of course.
  475.
  476. Arcane arts clashed amidst the rage, leaving behind impactful craters all the while-- an utter, heated mess now. It was over just as quickly, however... with the outcome already obvious, only one of them managed to escape.
  477.
  478. That one wasn't Lucan.
  479.
  480. Arie's orders, while brief and distant, are clearly heard, and Lapis didn't waste a single moment before zipping before Lucan's form all the while-- his eyes remain emotionless, dull, embraced within adark, dark lightning now... Maelstrom was at its full effect.
  481.
  482. A single hand does lift itself up, lightning flickering across those fingers of his as they're thrust towards Lucan's heart, and yet--- they pause, only digging just half an inch and then he'd pause, letting that emotionless gaze stare at the man for a long, long moment, as if waiting for his final words, or...?
  483.
  484. After all, Lapis knew the temptation all too well. The temptation to press a moment longer, and snap a neck... the temptation to pierce an inch deeper, and end a heart... something he grew up enjoying--- something that thrilled him, and yet... it was almost like he had forgotten the taste.
  485.
  486. The fear in their eyes.
  487.
  488. The satisfaction of holding their lives in his own hands, and...
  489.
  490. Thrust.
  491.
  492. Just like that, yet another heart ends. No words escape his lips as lightning practically explodes along the limp form, now, completely scorching the man's internal organs along the way.
  493. (Lapis Valerius)
  494. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  495.
  496. [17:55] Arie Hon says, "Executions are clean... Lapis.."
  497. [17:55] Arie Hon says, "Unless it's a traitor..."
  498. [18:00] By the end of a furious clash of every element and magic imaginable, short of the divine - Iris had fallen, mythril crashing against grass and stone in a blur of combat.
  499.
  500. But... alive? She's alive?
  501.
  502. Her gaze swung around to her surroundings, surroundings that felt remarkably distant from her. Lucan was just a hazy red shape, surrounded by someone else's electricity. Perseus still held that wavering starlight, and -
  503.
  504. No. Don't pay attention. Nobody's watching you, this is your chance to move.
  505.
  506. Roughly, she pushed herself to her feet - finding it especially difficult, given the sheer damage done to one of her arms, and scrambled away.
  507.
  508. At the best of times, she didn't know the route to take. When the world around her was just flashes of white and dizziness, she was even worse off.
  509.
  510. She doesn't look back.
  511. (Iris Gwyn)
  512. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  513.
  514. [18:00] There's a moment in time where things seem to stand still.
  515.
  516. With a shift in her step and a glance around, the young woman moves away from the island now free of the building. The one that harbored all the insects she could've ever adored and more, and she would pause, lips parting only briefly as she looks around.
  517.
  518. No words left her, but the lightning bugs and fireflies would continue to flutter around her form as she shifts, uncomfortably at that.
  519.
  520. After a few moments, a dry set of words left her: "This is our home. The home we built all those years ago. Not yours. Not anyone else's. So don't come back." Her gaze trails over toward Arie.
  521.
  522. "He is a traitor, and more. He betrayed Little Mame many years ago. Have no worry; He was Tragedy's self proclaimed student of Chaos. Unless he was lying about that, too."
  523.
  524. And that's all-- karmic justice. It was only natural. Her hands begin to collect all the items laid out before her as fingers grazed along the ground to leave rune-based trails behind to make the gravity in the area slowly grow... more.
  525. (Solace Huitzilopochtli)
  526. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  527.
  528. [18:01] The drakan moved slowly to Quiao, letting the other's do whatever they wanted, but for now, if he wasn't mistaken as Lapis would inform him..
  529.
  530. The footsteps where slow... the mythrill left eye was shining with lightning as he got closer to Qiao... each footstep... the lightning inside of it moved, the drakan grabbed from his belongings, a pair of chains, chaining the creature, it was not an human if it was with tragedy...
  531.
  532. As Qiao was chained, Arie sat close, watching the imprisioned creature...
  533.
  534. "So, tell me, what are you for Tragedy, heard it from Lapis... explain your history, maybe you will be treated really good, you know!"
  535.
  536. Maybe a lie, maybe the truth... fate here could be interesting.
  537. (Arie Hon)
  538. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  539.
  540. [18:02] Arie Hon says, "Solace."
  541. [18:02] Arie Hon says, "Carry the prisoners."
  542. [18:02] Arie Hon says, "Let's go back to Tongy."
  543. [18:03] Hell whispers something.
  544. [18:04] -- How, unfitting this ending had become.
  545.
  546. All around him he witnessed those lesser to his own power falling one by one. Flames, tainting this earth and burning each and every soul that came into contact with his absolute power. Hatred, anger, frustration, all of these emotions as raw as ever manifesting and pushing outwards in a physical form colliding with those around him.
  547.
  548. Not enough.
  549.
  550. The familiar voice of a man who had given him purpose whispering in his mind as his body refused to give in. Lightning, crashing against his form as all the very same it seemed as though for once in his life he held a chance at what he had been promised. Ending, stolen from him all by the sudden piercing of his heart.
  551.
  552. You failed me, Lucan.
  553.
  554. Wanting to scream more than anything he could listen to that voice on repeat. Failure, ending all the very same he found himself experiencing what he had become all too accustomed to. Memories, pleasant and vile all flashing through his mind. Hands intertwined with a familiar woman, lips locked as they laughed about their future together.
  555.
  556. Children all playing with one another promising protection and a future where they stood above the rest. Where they had the world listening to their voice rather than dictating their actions from the very beginning.
  557.
  558. I'll be your Knight!
  559.
  560. He could vividly hear in his mind as in a flash the scene shifted. His body broken, beaten down by a horned creation with crimson irises looking down at him. Clawed hands, extended towards him as Little Mame still rested in the distance behind him. Accepted, bringing him to this point here and now in a flash.
  561.
  562. Then, everything faded to black.
  563.
  564. Lord Lucan Illarian, Knight of Agartha. Incarnation of Chaos.
  565.
  566. Gone, fading out entirely as a husk of a corpse now lay upon the ground.
  567. (Lucan Illarian)
  568. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  569.
  570. [18:06] Lucan Illarian whispers something.
  571. [18:06] Lucan Illarian whispers something.
  572. [18:06] Lucan Illarian whispers something.
  573. [18:07] Bloodied up proper. Beaten. Unable to move. In all the chaos, she can only target who's closest.
  574.
  575. But she's the least of who's here. The least of the chaos. Already wounded, living on borrowed time.
  576.
  577. Maybe she came here to die. Maybe she wants to.
  578.
  579. But when she's left a crumbled, immobile, twitching mess on the ground, she's not dead. Too weak to bite off her tongue, too weak to spit out the blood pooled in her mouth and stand back up.
  580.
  581. She's bound, worthless again. Bound, at somebody else's mercy again. Just like Atl. Only this time, she's dragged other people into death. It's her responsibility.
  582.
  583. She watches Lucan's life end, before her gaze slowly lazes over to Arie. They're met, with nothing but hate, and fury. No fear, no desperation, none of the crushing weight, the responsibility that presses upon her form now.
  584.
  585. Just the gravity of things. The weight of blood and death.
  586.
  587. And it's all her fault.
  588.
  589. " … I am hers. "
  590.
  591. Qiao speaks, uprighted to sit, voice weak, a ghostly little echo, a fragile glass already hairline cracked, teetering on the edge of falling to it's own end.
  592.
  593. " She. Gave me purpose and hope when your shitstain of a leader ignored my existence. She gave me something to follow. She opened her arms quicker than the leader of yer Fourfold or yer now-rubble colony did. So I'm her loyal retainer. "
  594.
  595. " I am hers. "
  596. (Qiao)
  597. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  598.
  599. [18:09] Solace Huitzilopochtli asks, "...Let's go. Now. Before others arrive, yeah?"
  600. [18:11] The fighting is ridiculously intense. The undead knight of the moonlight, the loyal retainer of the Warden of Crafthold -
  601.
  602. he's lost in what must be a battle-trance. He had intended to talk for longer, but ah... it seems that the circumstances made that a little difficult, didn't they?
  603.
  604. 'Pretending to do good?'
  605.
  606. As he delivers a powerful slice to Rayan, as his blade explodes in magical might, he yells out amidst the chaos - "I'm protecting the people of Crafthold from you!"
  607.
  608. If Rayan can hear him at all, he can hear the certainty and confidence with which his voice resounds.
  609.
  610. However -
  611.
  612. it all comes to an end one day, doesn't it?
  613.
  614. As the fighting continues, as his mana bleeds down, as his strained reserves become little more than a glimmer of hope inside of him -
  615.
  616. he's beaten. Broken, bruised - sliced. As his arm is cleaved off of his body, it falls to the ground and quickly petrifies, soon enough crumbling to little moreso than dust.
  617.
  618. The further his body gets to nothingness - the weaker the aura of dread around him becomes. It retreats, as the rest of him begins cracking and crumbling as well.
  619.
  620. Not as quickly. Not so much - but when all is said and done, Perseus is brought to bear.
  621.
  622. He can feel his heart beating. His lungs burning.
  623.
  624. He can feel the agony in his limbs.
  625.
  626. He can feel the way that defeat rings through his ears.
  627.
  628. Jianghu's Medal of Bravery lays on his chest. A suit of armor with Bob Hatake's maker's mark adorns him. His sword?
  629.
  630. A mix of Valmasian and Jianghese styles.
  631.
  632. He's cried before. He's cried, just once, in this body.
  633.
  634. His gloves have been ripped asunder, and on his remaining arm, a near-empty circular moon of blue light that slowly fades to black.
  635.
  636. He locks eyeswith Rayan L'Paix. On his face is a mixture of emotions that scrunch his features into a variety of misshapen expressions that all crack his skin even further - fear. Despair. Sorrow. Defeat -
  637.
  638. guilt?
  639.
  640. The question needs an answer, and a shaky voice clogged by mud attempts to answer it. His face is absolutely pouring with tears - acidic, tainted by his magic. Corrupted. Rayan can feel it -
  641.
  642. the taint that has gripped a soul supposed to pass, so long ago.
  643.
  644. "I'm sorry.
  645.
  646. He was dying, and I - I was dead. My name - we never met. My name was Peacekeeper. Now, I am Perseus. He -
  647.
  648. I - I didn't want his life to go to waste. I wanted -
  649.
  650. I wanted to do good things with his body. I wanted to protect the people I loved. That I cared for.
  651.
  652. I don't want to die. I never - I never wanted to die, stranger. Please. I'm - I'm important. Eiphraem, he -
  653.
  654. Eiphraem would do anything to save me. Eiphraem would do anything. I would do anything. I can - I can help. I'd do anything, please - I don't want my life to be a waste. I don't want to die.
  655.
  656. I've never - I've never killed anyone. We were trying to - we were trying to fix me. To purify my soul. We were going to fix the illness undeath wrought upon me."
  657.
  658. In summary?
  659.
  660. When oblivion comes so close to the man who had never feared death - his walls collapse into begging. Into crying. Into pleading.
  661.
  662. It's ironic, for the man wearing the face of Mercy.
  663. (Perseus)
  664. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  665.
  666. [18:12] Arie Hon says, "Rayan."
  667. [18:12] Arie Hon says, "Let's move."
  668. [18:12] Arie Hon says, "We don't have the luxury to stay here until you finish this."
  669. [18:12] Solace grabs Lucan's body and stuff, for extra emphasis.
  670. (Solace Huitzilopochtli)
  671. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  672.
  673. [18:12] The fighting is ridiculously intense. The undead knight of the moonlight, the loyal retainer of the Warden of Crafthold -
  674.
  675. he's lost in what must be a battle-trance. He had intended to talk for longer, but ah... it seems that the circumstances made that a little difficult, didn't they?
  676.
  677. 'Pretending to do good?'
  678.
  679. As he delivers a powerful slice to Rayan, as his blade explodes in magical might, he yells out amidst the chaos - "I'm protecting the people of Crafthold from you!"
  680.
  681. If Rayan can hear him at all, he can hear the certainty and confidence with which his voice resounds.
  682.
  683. However -
  684.
  685. it all comes to an end one day, doesn't it?
  686.
  687. As the fighting continues, as his mana bleeds down, as his strained reserves become little more than a glimmer of hope inside of him -
  688.
  689. he's beaten. Broken, bruised - sliced. As his arm is cleaved off of his body, it falls to the ground and quickly petrifies, soon enough crumbling to little moreso than dust.
  690.
  691. The further his body gets to nothingness - the weaker the aura of dread around him becomes. It retreats, as the rest of him begins cracking and crumbling as well.
  692.
  693. Not as quickly. Not so much - but when all is said and done, Perseus is brought to bear.
  694.
  695. He can feel his heart beating. His lungs burning.
  696.
  697. He can feel the agony in his limbs.
  698.
  699. He can feel the way that defeat rings through his ears.
  700.
  701. Jianghu's Medal of Bravery lays on his chest. A suit of armor with Bob Hatake's maker's mark adorns him. His sword?
  702.
  703. A mix of Valmasian and Jianghese styles.
  704.
  705. He's cried before. He's cried, just once, in this body.
  706.
  707. His gloves have been ripped asunder, and on his remaining arm, a near-empty circular moon of blue light that slowly fades to black.
  708.
  709. He locks eyes with Rayan L'Paix. On his face is a mixture of emotions that scrunch his features into a variety of misshapen expressions that all crack his skin even further - fear. Despair. Sorrow. Defeat -
  710.
  711. guilt?
  712.
  713. The question needs an answer, and a shaky voice clogged by mud attempts to answer it. His face is absolutely pouring with tears - acidic, tainted by his magic. Corrupted. Rayan can feel it -
  714.
  715. the taint that has gripped a soul supposed to pass, so long ago.
  716.
  717. "I'm sorry.
  718.
  719. He was dying, and I - I was dead. My name - we never met. My name was Peacekeeper. Now, I am Perseus. He -
  720.
  721. I - I didn't want his life to go to waste. I wanted -
  722.
  723. I wanted to do good things with his body. I wanted to protect the people I loved. That I cared for.
  724.
  725. I don't want to die. I never - I never wanted to die, stranger. Please. I'm - I'm important. Eiphraem, he -
  726.
  727. Eiphraem would do anything to save me. Eiphraem would do anything. I would do anything. I can - I can help. I'd do anything, please - I don't want my life to be a waste. I don't want to die.
  728.
  729. I've never - I've never killed anyone. We were trying to - we were trying to fix me. To purify my soul. We were going to fix the illness undeath wrought upon me."
  730.
  731. In summary?
  732.
  733. When oblivion comes so close to the man who had never feared death - his walls collapse into begging. Into crying. Into pleading.
  734.
  735. It's ironic, for the man wearing the face of Mercy.
  736. (Perseus)
  737. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  738.
  739. [18:13] The words did not fall on deaf ears. The Elsyrean would listen to the words of Perseus with his lips in a thin line, the lyrics of his plea ringing in the air.
  740.
  741. "I understand." Rayan said, his tone gentle, his gaze soft. Scooping up the false Nerzan, he would cradle him-- as if he was a Cosmic magi he had known long ago.
  742.
  743. "Let's move."
  744. (Rayan L'Paix)
  745. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  746.
  747. [18:13] Qiao whispers: ... I disagee. With 'is sentiment. Just fucking kill me. I want to die. I am worthless to her.
  748. [18:14] Hell says, "So you don't need me to bring you to the store..."
  749. [18:17] Qiao coughs.
  750. (Qiao)
  751. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  752.
  753. [18:17] Ming Xiao whispers something.
  754. [18:18] Rayan is carrying the undead in his arms, humming softly. His expression is neutral.
  755. (Rayan L'Paix)
  756. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  757.
  758. [18:18] Grabbing the prisoner, currently chained, he woould throw it towards Kotei, Qiaou would roll a little to his feet.. stopping right before hitting him...
  759.
  760. "So, this is the LOYAL RETAINER of TRAGEDY... any suggestion to do with her? Like cutting in small pieces and sending to the archon?"
  761.
  762. Arie crossed his arms, waiting for the Qilin to give a signal of life.
  763. (Arie Hon)
  764. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  765.
  766. [18:18] Hinata Yukishiro whispers something.
  767. [18:18] Rayan L'Paix says, "Hinata."
  768. [18:18] Mythran Yugao whispers something.
  769. [18:18] Hinata Yukishiro asks, "Yes?"
  770. [18:18] Solace is holding the corpse of Lucan in her arms, a bit numb and unexpressive all the while. She doesn't particularly take any kind of joy in death, and this was... Well, unexpected to say the least of it all.
  771. (Solace Huitzilopochtli)
  772. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  773.
  774. [18:18] Hinata Yukishiro says, "Ah... He."
  775. [18:19] Ming Xiao says, "That was all, dear, thank you~."
  776. [18:19] Rayan L'Paix says, "--- this is the undead who has taken the body of Nerzan."
  777. [18:19] Rayan L'Paix asks, "Where is Ikkaku?"
  778. [18:19] Arie Hon asks, "It's an undead?"
  779. [18:19] Arie Hon exclaims, "PREPARE AN EXECUTION!"
  780. [18:19] Grey-blue hues squinting-- he looks toward the creature clutched in Rayan's arm-- the exact same face as a certain Commander.
  781. (Hinata Yukishiro)
  782. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  783.
  784. [18:19] Hinata Yukishiro says, "Ah.. right."
  785. [18:19] Rayan L'Paix asks, "Do you not see Nerzan's features?"
  786. [18:19] Rha'kharo says, "Really Arie."
  787. [18:19] Hinata Yukishiro says, "He's currently having uh.. "
  788. [18:19] Hinata Yukishiro says, "A private discussion at the moment, in his quarters."
  789. [18:19] Rayan L'Paix asks, "With Amane?"
  790. [18:19] Hinata Yukishiro says, "I ask that you wait, and defer judgement to the Qilin for the time being."
  791. [18:19] Hinata Yukishiro says, "Yes. With Amane."
  792. [18:19] Rayan L'Paix says, "---"
  793. [18:20] Arie Hon says, "Well, we will hold it"
  794. [18:20] Rayan L'Paix says, "Please knock on their door, I think she especially needs to see this."
  795. [18:20] Arie Hon says, "We don't need the Regent."
  796. [18:20] Qiao whispers something.
  797. [18:20] Arie Hon whispers something.
  798. [18:20] Hinata Yukishiro says, "I understand."
  799. [18:20] Qiao whispers something.
  800. [18:20] Solace Huitzilopochtli says, "This."
  801. [18:20] Solace Huitzilopochtli says, "Is more important."
  802. [18:21] Qiao whispers something.
  803. [18:21] There would be a polite knock on the door, followed by the soft, but clear voice of a man-- Hinata,
  804.
  805. "Something has come up, Lord Regent. This requires your attention. It will only take a moment."
  806. (Hinata Yukishiro)
  807. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  808.
  809. [18:21] Canna whispers something.
  810. [18:21] Perseus seemingly remains silent, for the time being. He's limp, in Rayan's arms.
  811. (Perseus)
  812. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  813.
  814. [18:22] The Ookami took a moment, clearing her throat. "Yes, we ought to treat her condition, that way it can't simply compound, before we get to any questioning. I feel sorry for her, from what I heard was taken. . . I'm glad I found Ikkaku so immediately infact after leaving." She'd simply say, stepping into the room finally, the venomancers aura creating a little veil around herself, as various toxins she'd grown accustommed to seemed at her fingertips.
  815.
  816. "Given it was ingested, I'm going to want to ask you, and just nod if you are okay with this Violet. . . I'm going to have to poison you further to get the potion out of your system. Just an irritant for the stomach, similar to eating undercooked food, a bit of food poisoning. I will not be able to siphon the magebane itself, being I've never interracted with any of it. And that's if stomache acid hasn't tainted it already beyond compatability with my magic to beginwith." She took a deep breath.
  817.
  818. "Alternatively I could just pump your system so full of water that you'll expell it naturally over the next few days,so yea, I'd rather you not be in discomfort if you are to await a trial. A little now versus what you're feeling coupled with being overhydrated. But if you aren't okay with being further poisoned for sake of rapid expulsion of the poison, then I'll have to overhydrate your body." She was blessed now in her eyes, that she chose the two elements in conjunction, to have two options to handle the poor teen's situation.
  819.
  820. The blue eyes of the Ookami simply looked upon the poor girl, not with malice, but compassion. "The water option will dilute the Magebane enough hopefully to just make you deal with the severe discomforts of overhydration however. But you'll need various health checks throughout the days to come." Her tail simply limp as she spoke of the two options, they both were unpleasant, but it was her choice how this went down.
  821. (Maiya Shen)
  822. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  823.
  824. [18:23] Direct.
  825.
  826. Pupils dilate, witnessing the situation unfold before his own eyes. Lucan dead, two prisoners-- apparently, the army subjugated quite the important foes. Adjusting the mask, the Qilin's voice is directed towards the group.
  827.
  828. "Though according to my estimate the soldiers of Aetherius exceed our own in number, that shall advantage them nothing in the matter of victory. You brought it today, fellow soldiers. Victory and hope for the country. Thus, you shall be properly rewarded for it in due time."
  829.
  830. Analyzing the prisoners, he added.
  831.
  832. "Let us take care of them. The Emperor's judgement will be spread to the colony."
  833. (Kotei no Hosoku)
  834. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  835.
  836. [18:23] Ming Xiao whispers something.
  837. [18:23] Perseus whispers: They're going to kill me, aren't they?
  838. [18:23] Rayan L'Paix whispers: Do you fear it?
  839. [18:23] Perseus whispers: ... I didn't, once upon a time. But now I have people to live for.
  840. [18:24] Canna whispers something.
  841. [18:24] Lapis merely stands there... mostly quiet, if anything. Blood is practically all over his form--- eyes dull as the gaze downwards all the while. Oh well.
  842. (Lapis Valerius)
  843. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  844.
  845. [18:24] Canna looks over at Perseus..
  846. (Canna)
  847. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  848.
  849. [18:24] Canna whispers something.
  850. [18:25] Canna whispers something.
  851. [18:26] His expression is neutral as always, the quiet hum consistent despite the heavy atmosphere of the room. Rayan's gaze would remain on the Qilin, an unfamiliar figure now acting as judgement.
  852.
  853. "I ask of you one simple request." The Elsyrean spoke, his voice soft. "If you are to execute the undead, I wish to be the one to do it."
  854.
  855. There was a deep breath, as if to steady himself. Goldens looked upon Perseus not as a foe, but as a friend-- the familiar features and the good intentions making it difficult for him to resist healing.
  856.
  857. "He is one of good intentions, of someone who in life would have been a hero amongst us all. It is not his fault he was revived. His intentions were pure in taking Nerzan's body.
  858.
  859. --- but it is a grave illness that can only be fixed with death. To be born again in true flesh and blood, not the mask of Mercy."
  860.
  861. (Rayan L'Paix)
  862. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  863.
  864. [18:27] Canna narrows her gaze as she utters one word. "Peacekeeper." her voice low and growling.
  865. (Canna)
  866. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  867.
  868. [18:27] Arie Hon asks, "A campfire it is?"
  869. [18:27] Arie Hon says, "I don't know how to execute what is already dead."
  870. [18:27] There would be a sigh, followed by another knock of the door.
  871. (Hinata Yukishiro)
  872. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  873.
  874. [18:27] Rha'kharo says, "Blow them up."
  875. [18:28] Rha'kharo says, "Until nothing remains."
  876. [18:28] Kotei no Hosoku says, "Very well."
  877. [18:29] Ming Xiao says, "Please, just make it as swift and clean as possible."
  878. [18:29] Rayan L'Paix asks, "Is there anything you wish to ask of Perseus?"
  879. [18:29] Perseus says, "I want to tell you who I was."
  880. [18:29] Perseus says, "Before I die."
  881. [18:29] Rayan L'Paix says, "Do so."
  882. [18:29] Perseus asks, "Is that fair?"
  883. [18:29] Kotei no Hosoku says, "Let us move out of here."
  884. [18:29] Kotei no Hosoku says, "Follow me."
  885. [18:29] Kotei no Hosoku says, "This should be utilized as the Tribunal today... fit for the situation."
  886. [18:29] Arie Hon asks, "So, Kotei, do you think this one has any use begin alive?"
  887. [18:31] Rha'kharo whispers something.
  888. [18:32] Arie Hon says, "Man.."
  889. [18:32] Arie Hon says, "It was wild."
  890. [18:32] Arie Hon whispers something.
  891. [18:32] Instead of leaving Peacekeeper alone, the Elsyrean still holds the undead Sarradian. His eyes are closed, arms wrapped around him. It was less of an executioner's stance and more of a motherly one, of one comforting their child during a thunderstorm.
  892.
  893. "You are not like them. Not like Lucan-- who pretended to be evil for the sake of power. Or like the shark-mouthed Sirenian, who sought power because he was evil."
  894.
  895. He shook his head. "You are someone who I look at with empathy. I am in your situation. I am someone in a body that they do not want, who desperately wishes to fix it. Someone who has made difficult choices, who had loved someone that others did not understand.
  896.
  897. Who just wants to protect."
  898.
  899. His head dipped.
  900.
  901. "I'm sorry it has to be this way, Perseus."
  902. (Rayan L'Paix)
  903. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  904.
  905. [18:32] Arie Hon whispers something.
  906. [18:32] Rha'kharo whispers something.
  907. [18:34] Lapis Valerius asks, "...sorry, I wasn't listening. What is to be done to the body?"
  908. [18:35] Coltrane Brubeck says, "P-"
  909. [18:35] Solace Huitzilopochtli says, "Anything to stop Necromancy."
  910. [18:35] Arie Hon says, "Burned"
  911. [18:35] Lapis Valerius says, "Incinerate."
  912. [18:35] Lapis Valerius says, "Fitting... for him. "
  913. [18:35] Tao can only look on in horror as he spies the familiar form of Perseus. This was not how he expected his morning to go.
  914.
  915. "N- No. NO no no! Perseus! What-"
  916. (Coltrane Brubeck)
  917. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  918.
  919. [18:41] “In family, we find purpose. In honor, we find guidance. In judgement, we find wisdom. In spirit, we find strength."
  920.
  921. A sentence flows from the depths of the mask as it trembled with lip movements. Exuding seriousness, one would possibly confirm the Qilin was used to such situations.
  922.
  923. Finding the truth. Being the epitome of the Emperor's will.
  924.
  925. Two digits ascend, parallel to the blackened mask and supported by the rest of the fingers. Immediately, a blue luminescence orbitates Kotei, spreading and expanding in tremendous proportions! It is, beyond question, mana-- something the judge is proficient in controlling.
  926.
  927. Subsequently, the radiance take form of a statue. A giant one, almost reaching the roof. The creation's eyes are covered with a bandage full of blood, representing the whole concept of Law, libras covering the structure. It stares down, apparently talking in unison to the Qilin.
  928.
  929. "Perseus. Apparently, you don't lack benevolence. But for being unable to reach redemption, disrespecting the Emperor's holy decree and breaking the Law of the Colony...
  930.
  931. ...you are sentenced to death."
  932.
  933. The booming voice echoes through all of the temporary tribunal, energy chains prepared to launch towards the man. However, before anything, the defendant has the right to express themselves.
  934.
  935. "You may defend yourself for the purpose of the truth. Lies will not take you out of this situation, and you are beyond the act of pardon."
  936.
  937. "But, listening to what you say, agreeing or not, is our obligation. Therefore, shout your last words, for the world to hear you. Enhance our knowledge and clear the path towards verity, Perseus."
  938.
  939. Silent, after so much, it was time to hear.
  940. (Kotei no Hosoku)
  941. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  942.
  943. [18:41] He interrupts, briefly, but only for a simple request.
  944.
  945. "Mythran. If you could comfort Coltrane, please. I don't want him interfering."
  946. (Rayan L'Paix)
  947. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  948.
  949. [18:42] Mythran turns giving Rayan a 'Eh?' look. Followed by a shrug.
  950.
  951. "I don't understand."
  952. (Mythran Yugao)
  953. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  954.
  955. [18:43] Coltrane barely registers voices. He's just looking at Perseus... and crying. Absolutely BAWLING.
  956. (Coltrane Brubeck)
  957. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  958.
  959. [18:44] Canna glares as she looks over to Tsing.
  960. (Canna)
  961. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  962.
  963. [18:44] Shu whispers something.
  964. [18:44] Shu whispers something.
  965. [18:45] Shu whispers something.
  966. [18:45] Amane Faoleng whispers something.
  967. [18:45] Amane Faoleng whispers something.
  968. [18:45] "Is there no way for me to live?"
  969.
  970. To the almost motherly grasp, he takes on an almost childlike fear. It's a weak pleading, a small glimmer of hope -
  971.
  972. "I was there.
  973.
  974. I saw the carnage Tragedy wrought. I saw what the demons do. What Aetherius does. But Eiphraem - he cried. He pleaded with Tragedy. He begged her to stop the slaughter. He's - he's so close to human, and I - I'm so close to him, Rayan."
  975.
  976. He's trembling with fear. He's trying, but - there's only so much that he can do. When Kotei's decree rings out -
  977.
  978. he shakes. His breathing quickens. His head slowly turns, and his voice remains weak. Submissive. He's deferring, to that authority.
  979.
  980. "I hate the fighting. I hate the war, but any of you would have killed me if I tried to help alongside you.
  981.
  982. I died defending Gao Deyru. Please. If there's anything I can do, to buy my life - To earn the medal I wear. To redeem the face I've marred. You reached a verdict without hearing me, first. Is there anything? Is my crime unforgivable?"
  983.
  984. But he cannot close his eyes, as he looks upon Kotei. He cannot.
  985.
  986. "I want to do good with my life. It's all I have ever asked for."
  987. (Perseus)
  988. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  989.
  990. [18:47] Midia's reading a large volume by the tribunal and throne while a massive number of people begins to gather and prepare themselves inside the room.
  991.
  992. Infact, the large gathering had begun to gather diverse onlookers potentially not even involved in the proceedure.
  993.
  994. Halting her read, she begins to scan the crowd in a slow pace untill her eyes narrowed on a few most peculiar occurances. Two dead, one alive the other laying there. A slow, but deliberate scan indicates that some of them may've been people she knew or knows- Infact, her eyes settle on Nerzan, fixating a curious gaze on the undead she'd begin to realise it was not her past friend's living body, but a shell.
  995.
  996. The twisted skin, rot, the cold and petrifications, the cracks over his skin and the mismanagement of the tissue and their lack of recovery.
  997.
  998. Everything pointed to the fact that Perseus's body was not quite alive, and yet she stood, listening to the Qilin's word.
  999.
1000. Moving forth, she examines the crowd and waits, her fingers closing the book and pulling it inside her long sleeves as she stands by silently.
  1001.
1002. Jade Green eyes through a white mask with red markings, waiting for the events to unfold she would clear her throat and come forth toward the Qilin, folding her arms within her sleeves.
  1003. (Midia Di Maria)
  1004. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1005.
1006. [18:47] Shu looks on in confusion
  1007. (Shu)
  1008. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1009.
1010. [18:47] Shu before letting out a sigh
  1011. (Shu)
  1012. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1013.
  1014. [18:48] Canna whispers something.
1015. [18:48] Midia Di Maria whispers something.
  1016. [18:48] Shu whispers something.
  1017. [18:48] Shu whispers something.
1018. [18:49] Ikkaku's sky blue eyes watch the scene unfolding without a flinch. If there is disagreement within them it is hidden, but more then likely there is none. Arms cross over the Regent's chest, merely watching the proceedings with interest.
  1019. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  1020. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1021.
  1022. [18:49] Shu whispers something.
1023. [18:50] There's peace. Quiet, his tone steady, even amid the sobs and threatening energy that loomed in the air. His heroic aura never fades, never wavers, his gaze kind and gentle upon the undead who had stolen Nerzan's body.
  1024.
1025. "There is potential." Rayan remarked quietly. "I do not want to budge from allowing undeath. But if what you say is true, if your pleas hold meaning-- then they can mean much for the war."
  1026.
1027. His gaze looked up, staring into the mask of the Qilin.
  1028.
1029. "If you can get Crafthold to turn against Tragedy, perhaps there is a way for you to continue living. You had died for us once. You should not have been brought back.
  1030.
1031. But I doubt it is truly your fault. You just wanted to protect and serve. It's a story of a hero who has fallen to the wrong side."
  1032.
  1033.
  1034. (Rayan L'Paix)
  1035. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1036.
  1037. [18:51] Canna whispers something.
  1038. [18:51] Shu exclaims, "WHAT!"
1039. [18:51] Perseus says, "We were attempting to use the spires to purify me. To repair my soul. I -"
1040. [18:51] Hinata holds a gauntleted hand to his face, pinching the bridge of his nose.
  1041. (Hinata Yukishiro)
  1042. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1043.
1044. [18:51] Solace Huitzilopochtli says, "...You."
1045. [18:51] Perseus says, "I know that undeath is a curse. It was never - it was never a blessing, for me. I was so far from human, for so long."
1046. [18:51] Solace Huitzilopochtli says, "...You used someone's image."
1047. [18:51] Canna says, "Rayan.. that is not Nerzan.."
  1048. [18:52] Shu whispers something.
1049. [18:52] Arie Hon says, "It's an undead..."
  1050. [18:52] Arie Hon says, "It's corrupt..."
1051. [18:52] It was such a nice morning. The silly games he played with Amane and Violet last night brought a smile to his face as he entered the fort. He still hadn't had breakfast - what should it be? Eggs and toast? Perhaps some imported sausages, he did enj-
  1052.
  1053. Perseus.
  1054.
  1055. Perseus?
  1056.
  1057. Perseus?!
  1058.
1059. No no no no no no NO! This was all wrong! This wasn't supposed to happen! At all! EVER! Everything he'd worked for - every promise he'd made - every step he took down the path of mediation. All of it fell away.
  1060.
1061. Tears immediately began to stream down his face, but his expression didn't change. Shock. Horror. His staff was both light as a feather and heavy as nyeshk in his grip.
  1062.
  1063. "P-... Perseus? What-"
  1064.
1065. Disregarding Rayan's words entirely he was at Perseus' side at once, quickly looking over his form. Damaged. Still petrifying. Scared.
  1066.
1067. "Everything he said is true. All of it. You know I do not lie - listen to me, now more than ever!"
  1068. (Coltrane Brubeck)
  1069. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1070.
1071. [18:52] Arie Hon says, "Execute it Rayan."
1072. [18:52] Solace Huitzilopochtli says, "Purify or not, you ejected Nerzan from his vessel. Someone trying to do good for this land."
1073. [18:52] Perseus says, "I am a person, stranger. Please."
  1074. [18:53] Shu whispers something.
1075. [18:53] Solace twists around, kneeling soon there after to lay Lucan's body on the ground. It seems her tiny arms can no longer bare the weight.
  1076. (Solace Huitzilopochtli)
  1077. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1078.
  1079. [18:53] Canna whispers something.
1080. [18:53] Perseus says, "I'm sorry for your friend's death. From what others have told me - he was a good man. Respectable. I hope that we would have been friends."
1081. [18:53] Perseus says, "... he and I never met."
1082. [18:53] Arie Hon says, "Can we not start some..."
1083. [18:53] Arie Hon asks, "Undeads are people too?"
1084. [18:53] Rayan L'Paix says, "Arie. We treat everyone with respect on a trial."
1085. [18:53] Rayan L'Paix says, "It is the last gift we can give to them."
1086. [18:54] Amane Faoleng whispers something.
1087. [18:54] Rha'kharo says, "The best gift, you can give an undead, is freedom from it's prison."
  1088. [18:54] Canna whispers something.
  1089. [18:54] Rha'kharo says, "Execute.."
  1090. [18:54] Coltrane Brubeck says, "P-Perseus."
1091. [18:54] Coltrane Brubeck exclaims, "NO!"
1092. [18:54] Arie Hon says, "Let the stars purify the soul."
1093. [18:54] Coltrane Brubeck says, "He is NOT a prisoner."
  1094. [18:55] Canna whispers something.
  1095. [18:55] " … Dh- "
  1096.
1097. She's weak. She can barely move, folded down onto her knees, throat hurting, body tense. She grits her teeth, and trues to turn. The chains feel... so heavy. Her own flesh feels like chains further.
  1098.
  1099. " Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't.... "
  1100.
1101. It makes little sense, as she cannot even turn herself, to see Perseus, but she's.
  1102.
1103. So tired. So weak. But Tragedy is the only one to give her chance, give hope. The only one to rest a hand on her, make her feel like she was improving, growing, worth anything, given a purpose and a reason to continue.
  1104.
1105. She wants to scream at Perseus. But there's no breath in her lungs. She can only mutter it over and over again. Just die. Don't betray her. Anything.
  1106.
  1107. Just die with her.
  1108. (Qiao)
  1109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1110.
  1111. [18:56] Shu whispers something.
1112. [18:58] Midia would retract herself slightly, and speak in a more levelled tone see'ing as the Qilin had other preoccuptations and the crowd had begun to grow alarmed she'd simply speak up to give her own stance and an alternative to the various visions currently gripping the crowd.
  1113.
1114. "Perhaps, you may desire to enact a ritual, to let his soul pass on and its spirit return with the goal to amend for their sin.
  1115.
1116. This practice, many have done and I've met doing. Though the body shall be burnt, this would give the soul a chance to rest without the torments of their failure, yes?"
  1117.
1118. She bows to the Qilin, sticking to it all the way through untill anyone would acknowledge her. Signaling that she will not interrupt any further and that her desire to do so was not there.
  1119.
1120. She had spoken, and given her idea, there was only fate to complete the rest now.
  1121. (Midia Di Maria)
  1122. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1123.
1124. [19:03] "He attacked our home. Came to Little Mame." Her lips part a tad bit as she squints in the Neries' direction. Her eyes move around the room.
  1125.
1126. "It was not Lucan's. It was not this person's. It was ours. A place Lapis and I maintained and remained in isolation for to make sure it didn't rot to time." Her teeth grit together in her agitation.
  1127.
1128. "What good were you doing there?"
  1129.
1130. The demand is stringent and clear. "You came to conquer, you came to attack. You hate this war? Don't lie, because those actions only perpetuated it." Her teeth sink into her lower lip all the while as she dips her gaze toward the body on the floor. "No one wants to die, no. But you die as a warrior, in a battle that didn't need to happen. There's no greater honor than that, is there? Even if you are of the dead, you will be at rest. Sins of snatching bodies, using divinity to purify yourself, all the sort..." Lips lay in a harsh line, head shaking all the while.
  1131.
1132. "Accept. With grace. The time is over. It's time for you to rest now."
  1133. (Solace Huitzilopochtli)
  1134. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1135.
1136. [19:04] It's the only reply he can offer to Solace, as the judgment begins to fall. As the burden, as the weight - falls upon his head.
  1137.
1138. "I came because someone I cared about was harmed, stranger. I'm sorry."
  1139. (Perseus)
  1140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1141.
1142. [19:05] Tao glared back at Solace. Goodness, where did this greyskin stand? It seemed he was willing to make enemies of everyone.
  1143.
1144. "That wasn't the first time he came to Little Mame. Years ago, he came because I asked. He came because the woman I loved was threatened. He is not a warrior, he is not undead, he is my friend, he is my brother, I love him, and he is one of the very best this world has to offer."
  1145. (Coltrane Brubeck)
  1146. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1147.
1148. [19:06] Arie Hon asks, "He is not undead?"
1149. [19:07] Lapis would only kneel down a tiny bit, arms reaching out to encircle around the scorched man's waist-- hoisting Lucan's body up all the while. Small, quiet steps are taken in Arie's direction this time around.
  1150. (Lapis Valerius)
  1151. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1152.
1153. [19:08] Lapis Valerius whispers something.
1154. [19:08] Arie Hon whispers something.
1155. [19:09] Lapis nodding a tiny bit-- perhaps mostly to himself. the Valerius would trudge along, slowly making his way out.
  1156. (Lapis Valerius)
  1157. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1158.
1159. [19:09] " … Yer. People. Tried to arrest me. Then. Attacked me. While I was just minin'. Ya filthy goddamned liar. That's what started. All this shit. "
  1160.
1161. She spits her venom into the ground, head hanging, eyes trained on nothing.
  1162.
1163. Her chest is heavy. Words are hard. She can't manage much more than that.
  1164. (Qiao)
  1165. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1166.
1167. [19:09] Amane would give a sudden blink at seeing what Lapis was carrying before sprinting, blowing past Ikkaku and Hinata.
  1168. (Amane Faoleng)
  1169. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1170.
1171. [19:10] "Your words reach my heart, undead. While being trained as a Qilin, a specialist in war, I have heard a phrase."
  1172.
1173. "If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
  1174.
1175. "If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat."
  1176.
1177. A thumb presses against the back of the blackened mask, descending. Pale features, a face crafted by divine power and for divine will. His semblance doesn't diverge from the common stoic person. Rational, but also the embodiment of the Emperor's will. Thus, values like accepting the enemy's will happen.
  1178.
1179. Despite that, Kotei has a duty. One to never flee from him.
  1180.
1181. "Ignorance will lead us to our defeat. Thus, paraphrasing our leader, the veredict is transparent to the public."
  1182.
1183. "While mistakes have been made, the people have Sheng, when being able to rule themselves with their own voices, have enjoyed the peace that comes with allowing each and every neighbour to have their say in the future of our nation. Perseus, you have been killed as a loyalist, and brought back as a corrupted soul."
  1184.
1185. "The Emperor has made a decision to place himself above the humanity, despite the immense humility treading his figure. Thus, his wings lost their special color-- a sacrifice for us. Likewise, you have accepted the contract of being an undead and trying to finish what you are commonly not able to end."
  1186.
1187. "Therefore, you placed yourself above the humanity. You broke the common cycle of death, by the likes of Azrael. Nobility comes from your mouth, but the sinful flame was forged. And you must receive the consequence of it."
  1188.
1189. "Perseus. By accepting a necromancer, you have forfeit the right to live. You will be executed by Rayan, and your body will be burned by the holy flames of The Illuminated.
  1190.
1191. Ethereal chains forcefully pull the guilty to his knees, aimed towards the blue-haired man, as the Qilin added once again.
  1192.
1193. "I thank you for your cooperation. The truth is called, and the judgement is over. We learn more from the enemy, and more of ourselves. We create hope as a colony to strive a better future."
  1194. (Kotei no Hosoku)
  1195. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1196.
1197. [19:10] Aziza, rather off to the side, not a citizen, speaks up. Eventually.
  1198.
1199. "Out of all of your enemies, Peace- er, Perseus is probably the least worthy of being executed. He's worked for peace even among those who don't deserve it. Has he ever even fought in the wars?"
  1200.
1201. There's a brief, slow sigh and she stares down at her hands, frowning slightly.
  1202.
1203. "I hope you find peace in the next life, then."
  1204. (Aziza Maru)
  1205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1206.
1207. [19:11] Aziza Maru says, "And say hi to Etsy for me."
1208. [19:11] He sighed quietly, glancing around the room. Quite a crowd had gathered. Rather than help with the situation and be silent, those that chipped in when they weren't even supposed to were so much as short of being helpful. Spouting nonsense about sparing the undead. This irritated Rha'kharo to the highest degree. Speaking out loud, though it was more intended towards Coltraine.
  1209.
1210. "Okay, so this didn't need to be said outloud, but apparently it now does. Why are you even here? Why are you defending the 'undead'"
  1211.
1212. He finished, taking in a deep breath as he reached into his hoodie, pinching the bridge of his nose as he muttered to himself.
  1213.
1214. "I'm not even mad. I'm not mad. I should have expected this. I'm just..highly disappointed. Now if you can't handle this. Leave. Just..leave. This isn't a charity. It's an execution. Shut up or pack up."
  1215.
1216. A careful glance was given towards Ikkaku before looking at Arie. Just as he was about to speak towards the commander, the Qilin would give his final say.
  1217. (Rha'kharo)
  1218. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1219.
1220. [19:12] Mythran Yugao whispers something.
1221. [19:12] Arie Hon whispers something.
  1222. [19:12] Ikkaku Ukitake says, "<Silently gives a nod towards this outcome>"
1223. [19:13] Mythran Yugao whispers something.
1224. [19:13] Ikkaku Ukitake whispers something.
1225. [19:13] Mythran Yugao whispers something.
1226. [19:14] Mythran Yugao whispers something.
1227. [19:14] Ikkaku Ukitake whispers something.
1228. [19:15] Ikkaku Ukitake whispers something.
1229. [19:16] Ikkaku Ukitake whispers something.
1230. [19:16] Admin Pixel Realms: sibri is just laying here on the steps, enjoying his opium pipe, ordering death battles... the good life
  1231. [19:17] Canna whispers something.
1232. [19:18] Ikkaku Ukitake whispers something.
  1233. [19:18] Canna whispers something.
  1234. [19:19] Canna whispers something.
1235. [19:20] Admin Vriska: i heard izel had an eight pack. that he was shredded.
  1236. [19:20] Admin Vriska: fuck
1237. [19:27] As judgment falls, Perseus - the undead - falls silent. Not long after, he's brought to his knees, in front of Rayan L'Paix. His eyes -
  1238.
1239. bereft of pupils, and gleaming with a brilliant light, as they look into Rayan's own. His arm falls to his knee.
  1240.
1241. "But you're wrong, Qilin." He's unmoving. Defeated, yes, but his voice fills with a last bit of worldly resolve. A blue light begins to fill those eyes, pushing the necromantic energies away.
  1242.
1243. It's the light of the moon - the true force that holds this soul together.
  1244.
1245. "I didn't accept my necromancer. If that's your judgment, and that's what your judgment is founded upon - then your judgment is flawed."
  1246.
1247. Tears begin streaming down his face, but he remains where he's been brought to his knees. Wet mud drips from his mouth - one of the signsof his decay. Even still, however, the powerful will of this undead resounds throughout his dissipating voice. To what sounds like his last breaths, he regales his tale with undying strength.
  1248.
1249. "I was violated, by undeath. I became something less than human, chained to someone else's soul.
  1250.
1251. I broke my chains, with the power of the Spires. I became human again. I became a person - I became myself, even if I wore someone's face. I did what was necessary to keep myself alive, and to repair the damage done to me.
  1252.
1253. If the crime you execute me for is existence, for accepting a necromancer's chains - then you murder a man. That stain will remain on your soul, until the day that you die."
  1254.
1255. Despite his refusal of the verdict -
  1256.
1257. he leans up, and stares Rayan in the eyes.
  1258.
1259. "This man is taking that murder for you. Thank him, when I'm gone. I do not know my name. But the one that I have chosen is Perseus Kang."
  1260.
1261. His lungs empty. His breathing stops. His heartbeat is nearly nonexistent. He's impossibly, deathly still, as he stares onward.
  1262. (Perseus)
  1263. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1264.
  1265. [19:27] Canna whispers something.
  1266. [19:28] "NO!"
  1267.
1268. This was it. This was the moment twenty-four years had been building towards. Everything he had done, every road walked, every blade forged, every friendship made. This was it.
  1269.
1270. "You do not know your enemy. If you kill Perseus here and now, you are consigning every single soul in Tongyishan to death. I am the closest thing you have to an expert on Necromancy, and you are throwing that away to be even more bloodthirsty than the Archons! Think about what you are doing."
  1271.
1272. Even Coltrane's plan wasn't clear - his head was a litany of reasons why this should not go ahead, but he had no time... Rha'kharo's words go completely ignored - it's a masterful display, really. Another thing hislife has been building towards - ignoring the scathing remarks of the ignorant.
  1273.
1274. "If you know yourself but not he enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. Know your enemy, Qilin. Let me tell you of his nature, his deeds, his soul. Let me tell you the cost of the two paths before you. You've barely just arrived, and there is much you need to know before you pass such a judgement."
  1275.
1276. "Please. Just give me time!"
  1277.
1278. Despite the peace in his words, Coltrane is ready for action. His eyes dart between Rayan and Perseus... then find the cold mask of Ikkaku. His pale greens are a silent plea for help, begging, overflowing with those unnatural metallic tears of the neries.
  1279.
1280. It's quite unusual that he can be so rational and clear while crying his eyes out. Must have had a lot of practice.
  1281. (Coltrane Brubeck)
  1282. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1283.
  1284. [19:28] Coltrane goes Super-Neries.
  1285. (Coltrane Brubeck)
  1286. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1287.
1288. [19:28] Hiromi Naoko whispers something.
  1289. [19:29] Maxwell whispers something.
1290. [19:30] Hiromi Naoko whispers something.
  1291. [19:31] Qiao whispers something.
  1292. [19:31] Rha'kharo whispers something.
  1293. [19:31] Qiao whispers something.
  1294. [19:31] Qiao whispers something.
  1295. [19:31] Rha'kharo whispers something.
1296. [19:32] Arie Hon whispers something.
  1297. [19:32] Maxwell whispers something.
1298. [19:32] Hinata Yukishiro whispers something.
1299. [19:32] He knew. Oh, Perseus knew. And the second Rayan realized that the undead understood why the Elsyrean had asked to be the one to kill him-- he cracked. Tears streamed down his cheeks, cascading down reddened features like a waterfall. But he remained still, sturdy, his hand reaching out to form an icicle sharpened to a point.
  1300.
1301. "It's not your fault. I don't want to kill you. I don't want to take another life. I see something in you that's much better than Delane, or Idris, or Bune, or Noda... or a-anyone else who has stepped before the judgement of Order."
  1302.
1303. A sharp inhale. "But you know what you've done. You've taken divine power for your own needs. To stoop down to such selfishness-- to try and become human again instead of accepting the redemption of the stars.
  1304.
1305. It's unforgivable. If the positions were reversed, I would expect for you to do the same."
  1306.
1307. He gently hums a verse for a few moments, gaze flickering towards Coltrane, then to Solace, then back to Perseus. Goldens did not stare at the undead with malice or harm. The only negativity that lingered was sorrow.
  1308.
1309. "I ask of you, Perseus Kang-- do you have any final requests before you are executed?"
  1310. (Rayan L'Paix)
  1311. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1312.
1313. [19:33] Arie Hon says, "Thought I would need to do it myself..."
1314. [19:33] Hiromi Naoko whispers something.
1315. [19:33] Coltrane Brubeck whispers: Rayan. Don't do this.
1316. [19:33] Rha'kharo says, "Read my mind huh Arie."
1317. [19:33] Coltrane Brubeck whispers: Give me time to explain.
1318. [19:33] Ikkaku Ukitake says, "I would have more faith in Officer Rayan's resolve."
1319. [19:33] Coltrane Brubeck whispers: If you ever looked at me with anything but utter loathing in your eyes, do me this one favour. Give Me Time!
1320. [19:33] Kotei no Hosoku says, "There is a reason he was asked to be the one dealing the final blow."
  1321. [19:33] Maxwell whispers something.
1322. [19:34] Rayan L'Paix says, "I've killed my own lover with these hands. I do not falter."
1323. [19:34] Kotei no Hosoku says, "I believe it will be a method of learning. Not a test of obediency."
1324. [19:35] Hiromi Naoko whispers something.
1325. [19:36] Admin Vriska: how does idris hit for so hard...
  1326. [19:38] Maxwell whispers something.
  1327. [19:39] Maxwell whispers something.
1328. [19:40] Hiromi Naoko whispers something.
1329. [19:42] Midia watches, an annoyed sigh escaping her lips, but despite this no more voice or noise would come from her as she straightens herself up.
  1330.
1331. Anyone nearby, could possibly understand she's not satisfied with the outcome from her reaction, but nevertheless does not proceed to stop it.
  1332.
1333. As a matter of fact, she didn't entirely look like she'd desire to stop it see'ing as most of the people here were against the proceedure and Coltrane was standing in a mist of rage and defiance over the verdict.
  1334.
1335. Judging the options, she would take a long moment, listening to the speeches before speaking lightly, her voice gently echoing through the gap between her face and mask in a slightly muffled tone before bearing forth to meet the crowd.
  1336.
1337. "Birth, life, death, rebirth... Souls travels through shells from one body to the next, their memories erased through a regretful process to cleanse their sins, perhaps.
  1338.
1339. I understand your desire, but those standing here are blind to your goals and necessities, Perseus Kang.
  1340.
1341. This judging, is wasteful, for their mind was already set before the guilty's arrival, to kill without wishing to mend.
  1342.
1343. I offered you alternative, for them to find peace and help us, but you discarded them. Much like before, you waste opportunities like you waste breath. This is, but a funeral."
  1344.
1345. She sighs, folding her arms with the book still within her hands, hiding them within her sleeves with no expressions or words to express further on the situation.
  1346. (Midia Di Maria)
  1347. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1348.
1349. [19:50] For a moment, he simply remains as he is. Silent. Motionless, as he stares up into Rayan's eyes. All of a sudden, however, he draws in a long, deep breath.
  1350.
1351. He lets it out at first, as a whisper.
  1352.
1353. "Do you know that I never killed anyone, in all my years?"
  1354.
1355. Another breath. Just barely a breath, but he forces himself to take in more air. The emotion in his eyes is disbelief. The expression on his face - despair.
  1356.
1357. "I've done everything. Everything, to convince you all that I'm human. To forge my broken soul into that of a person again.
  1358.
1359. I've done this for nearly thirty years. I've saved lives. I've resolved conflict. I've done my best to be a human voice in the Archon's ear."
  1360.
1361. And yet - a last flash of what looks like anger, as his eyes finally run dry.
  1362.
1363. "And the last thing that you tell me is that I should have killed myself?"
  1364.
1365. And yet - a last flash, of what looks like anger, before his eyes finally run dry. As all emotion drains from his face, and as his breathing slows.
  1366.
1367. "I have two final requests.
  1368.
1369. My crime was living. My first request is for you to judge yourself as harshly as you all have judged me.
  1370.
1371. If I'm a monster, something undeserving of the life that I have sacrificed so much to gain -
  1372.
1373. in seeking justice, you've all made yourself something worse than monsters. Something less than human. You've been tainted by war with the demons. You've become everything that you hate.
  1374.
1375. My life has never been yours to judge. My second request is that you finally make me a murderer, Rayan L'Paix. Allow me to kill myself. Allow meto right the wrongs done to me, by both my necromancer, and by all of you. Give me the power to end my life, just as I used my power to sustain it.
  1376.
1377. As my last action, I'll protect you from the stain of murder on your soul."
  1378.
  1379. He remembers to blink.
  1380.
  1381. "Is that satisfactory?"
  1382. (Perseus)
  1383. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1384.
  1385. [19:51] Coltrane Brubeck whispers: P-
1386. [19:51] Coltrane Brubeck whispers: Peacekeeper...
1387. [19:51] Hiromi Naoko whispers something.
1388. [19:52] Akio Koyanagi whispers something.
1389. [19:55] Hiromi Naoko whispers something.
1390. [19:57] "All are judged as equals. My veredict remains. We have pursued the truth, and learned with you. And your wish shall be granted, if Rayan believes it is necessary. A symbol of manhood based on values. After all, death, which is unique and beyond anything else that can be demanded or given? Truly, an honor to end yourself before enemies."
  1391.
1392. Final sentences escape the almost static lips as his face is reduced to neutrality again-- hidden behind a black fox mask. Nothing else comes out from him, as silence becomes a blessing yet again.
  1393.
1394. The gigantic energy statue behind him finally commences to fade away, copious amounts of energy retracting back to Kotei's body. "May your next life be prosperous."
  1395. (Kotei no Hosoku)
  1396. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1397.
  1398. [19:57] Maxwell whispers something.
1399. [19:59] Coltrane is amazed - astounded. They know so little about him, yet they think they're in a position to judge his life?
  1400.
1401. "Listen to me! You know nothing about him! Give me time, one day. That's all I ask! Let me tell you of his life, his deeds, the nature of his existence. If you still think this is justice, then it can be metered out then, but not while you are still ignorant!"
  1402.
1403. The tears continue to flow.
  1404. (Coltrane Brubeck)
  1405. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1406.
1407. [20:02] His gaze looks around the room. There's Coltrane, who would perhaps use this advantage to sweep the undead away. But the others-- their faces behind masks both real and imaginary judging the Peacekeeper for what he was. Not what he had done. Even if the Neries interfered-- it would only bring more pain.
  1408.
1409. It felt surreal, his negative emotions only soothed by the presence of the world's melody.
  1410.
1411. "You died to protect those you loved. For that, I thank you."
  1412.
1413. A simple, slight head bob would be his reply. The icicle in his hand faded away, water dripping down his arm. Shakily, the Elsyrean would lean forward-- a light, gentle kiss placed on the forehead of the faux Nerzan.
  1414.
1415. Strength returned to the Sarradian's body, the threads of gold intertwining with the wounds sustained from the battle. Even the stub of his arm would seal up, water washing away the grime and dirt.
  1416.
1417. "I hope you find peace in the stars, Perseus Kang."
  1418. (Rayan L'Paix)
  1419. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1420.
  1421. [20:04] Sael whispers something.
  1422. [20:05] Rha'kharo whispers something.
1423. [20:06] Arie Hon whispers something.
  1424. [20:06] Qiao whispers something.
  1425. [20:06] Qiao whispers something.
  1426. [20:07] Rha'kharo whispers something.
1427. [20:07] Arie Hon whispers something.
  1428. [20:07] Rha'kharo whispers something.
  1429. [20:07] Qiao whispers something.
  1430. [20:08] Rha'kharo whispers something.
  1431. [20:08] Qiao whispers something.
  1432. [20:08] Qiao whispers something.
  1433. [20:08] Qiao whispers something.
1434. [20:11] Kotei no Hosoku whispers something.
1435. [20:12] Iku stares at the undead hungrily. The anguil was wondering what was going on. He had watched the fight come to and end seeing lucan die it was a gruesome scene. He watches as they pin up Perseus ready to execute him. The siren stares as his stomach growls.
  1436. (Iku)
  1437. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1438.
  1439. [20:13] Qiao whispers something.
  1440. [20:13] Qiao whispers something.
  1441. [20:14] It's strange -
  1442.
1443. to receive that last kiss. He wishes - he wishes that it was someone else. He wishes that he could erase it all, and wake up in his bed back home.
  1444.
1445. As he rises to his feet, he smiles. Genuinely - gratefully, as stony scales drop from his face. With the arm he has remaining, he puts his hand upon Rayan's shoulder.
  1446.
1447. The other wound, of course, hasn't healed - but the edges of his shoulder, visible in his armor, have been solidified into stone.
  1448.
1449. "Does it have to be here?"
  1450.
1451. He asks it with all the joy that he can muster - which isn't much. He's never been one to dwell on the negative, and this moment isn't going to be any different.
  1452.
1453. If he dies, so what?
  1454.
1455. "I've faced the cold of oblivion once before. I know that its touch soothes all wounds, regardless of the way that a soul passes on.
  1456.
1457. Death is not what I fear. What I fear, is..."
  1458.
1459. His smile contorts into something between joy and sorrow, as he chokes tears back. His eyes grow wet again, as they begin pouring down dried mud, turning it instead into salty clay.
  1460.
1461. "What I fear is the fate of those I leave behind."
  1462.
1463. He slowly inhales, with staggered breaths filling his lungs - before allowing anxiety to drizzle out in waves.
  1464.
1465. "All the same - this final 'kindness,' if it can be called that; is there a more tranquil place I can pass on, rather than these palace halls?
  1466.
1467. I'm sorry to ask so much."
  1468. (Perseus)
  1469. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1470.
  1471. [20:14] Qiao whispers something.
  1472. [20:14] Qiao whispers something.
1473. [20:14] Arie Hon whispers something.

  1480. [20:14] Qiao whispers something.
  1481. [20:14] Qiao whispers something.
1482. [20:14] Kotei no Hosoku whispers something.
  1483. [20:14] Qiao whispers something.
1484. [20:14] Kotei no Hosoku whispers something.
1485. [20:14] Rayan L'Paix says, "--- There may be one place. We have dealt with this sort of execution before, and Ikkaku had taken her to a private room."
1486. [20:14] Arie Hon whispers something.
  1487. [20:14] Qiao whispers something.
  1488. [20:14] Qiao whispers something.
1489. [20:15] Coltrane Brubeck whispers: Rayan, I am begging you.
1490. [20:15] Rayan looks over at the Regent.
  1491. (Rayan L'Paix)
  1492. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1493.
  1494. [20:15] Midia Di Maria says, "..."
1495. [20:15] Arie Hon says, "Rayan"
1496. [20:15] Arie Hon says, "Do it here..."
1497. [20:15] Arie Hon says, "It could be planning something..."
1498. [20:15] Perseus says, "I -... I always revered the moon. I thought that she was a beautiful symbol of the light, beset by darkness, with the sun reflecting off of her surface."
  1499. [20:15] Rayan L'Paix says, "He."
  1500. [20:15] Rayan L'Paix says, "Not it."
1501. [20:15] Ikkaku Ukitake says, "I believe said private room is in use. However; If Kotei or myself supervises there may be another room used."
1502. [20:15] Coltrane Brubeck says, "Ikkaku."
1503. [20:15] Perseus says, "I thought that she represented me."
1504. [20:16] Perseus asks, "Can I die underneath the moon?"
1505. [20:16] Rayan L'Paix says, "I will bring Ikkaku and others with me, and if you attempt to flee-- all of your wishes will be revoked."
1506. [20:16] Rayan L'Paix asks, "Do you understan this, Perseus?"
  1507. [20:16] Sael whispers something.
  1508. [20:16] Sael whispers something.
1509. [20:16] Arie Hon whispers something.
  1510. [20:17] Rha'kharo whispers something.
1511. [20:17] Arie Hon asks, "So how many last wishes did we ask already?"
  1512. [20:17] Qiao whispers something.
1513. [20:17] Perseus asks, "Have I made any requests that pertain to anyone other than myself?"
  1514. [20:17] Qiao whispers something.
  1515. [20:17] Qiao whispers something.
1516. [20:18] Ikkaku Ukitake says, "I will let the choice reside with Kotei. I am satisfied with the way this trial has progressed."
1517. [20:18] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
1518. [20:18] Kotei no Hosoku says, "Choosing a location is unnecessary."
1519. [20:19] Perseus inhales. Slowly. Before exhaling - gently. Softly. Evidently, it's taking effort to keep himself together.
  1520. (Perseus)
  1521. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1522.
1523. [20:19] Kotei no Hosoku says, "You may do it whenever you please."
1524. [20:19] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
1525. [20:19] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
1526. [20:19] The Elsyrean grabs Perseus by the hand. His own palm is cool to the touch, like the backside of a pillow.
  1527.
1528. "Let us go outside, then. In front of the fortress, or would you prefer the shrines?" It seemed more like the invitation to a date rather than the looming threat of death.
  1529. (Rayan L'Paix)
  1530. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1531.
  1532. [20:20] Qiao whispers something.
  1533. [20:20] Qiao whispers something.
  1534. [20:20] Qiao whispers something.
1535. [20:20] Perseus asks, "Are the shrines to Jiuweihu?"
  1536. [20:20] Rayan L'Paix says, "They are Suha's."
1537. [20:20] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
1538. [20:20] Rayan L'Paix says, "So, presumbly so."
1539. [20:20] Arie Hon whispers something.
1540. [20:20] Arie Hon whispers something.
1541. [20:20] Rayan L'Paix says, "It is the highest peak in all of Agartha-- it kisses the night sky."
  1542. [20:20] Qiao whispers something.
  1543. [20:20] Qiao whispers something.
1544. [20:21] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
1545. [20:21] Ikkaku Ukitake says, "Coltrane; I am abstaining from this trial. I am merely here to observe and see the outcome. "
  1546. [20:21] Qiao whispers something.
1547. [20:21] Perseus considers, for awhile, with his hand upon Rayan's shoulder. He slowly blinks - bringing his eyelids down to meet.
  1548. (Perseus)
  1549. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1550.
  1551. [20:21] Qiao shivers.
  1552. (Qiao)
  1553. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1554.
1555. [20:21] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
1556. [20:21] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
1557. [20:21] Perseus says, "I think that place will suffice."
1558. [20:22] Rayan L'Paix says, "Let us go, then."
1559. [20:22] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
  1560. [20:23]
  1561. {LOAD GAME}
  1562.
1563. [20:23] Kotei no Hosoku whispers something.
1564. [20:23] Coltrane Brubeck whispers something.
  1565. [20:23] Qiao whispers something.
  1566. [20:23] Rha'kharo says, "Kirigaya."
1567. [20:23] Rha'kharo says, "Follow them. Just in case.."
1568. [20:23] Kurochi Kirigaya says, "Yes Sir."
  1569. [20:23] Rha'kharo says, "Something goes wrong."
  1570. [20:24] Rayan L'Paix says, "Ikkaku, Mythran."
1571. [20:24] Rayan L'Paix says, "Please come with me."
  1572. [20:24] Ikkaku Ukitake says, "<They merely nod> I'll oversee."
1573. [20:24] Arie Hon whispers something.
1574. [20:30] The group is lead up the mountain's slopes, a harsh climb upwards. Once, this had been the first inn upon Agartha's land, home to an eccentric man and his frog demon friend. Now, lanterns hang above the dual shrines, blowing gently in the winds.
  1575.
1576. His Harmonic Attunement remains, as well as his calm and polite demeanor. Gently guiding the undead to the edge, Perseus would be presented with the personal mediation spot of the Order magi of Jianghu's people.
  1577.
1578. It was almost... ironic, to see the body of Mercy resting upon the place he had desperately attempted to achieve.
  1579.
1580. "I'm guessing you would like to use your sword." He remarked. "You are allowed to ask me to do it, if you cannot bring yourself to do so, Perseus."
  1581. (Rayan L'Paix)
  1582. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1583.
1584. [20:32] Kurochi Kirigaya whispers something.
1585. [20:33] Ikkaku Ukitake whispers something.
1586. [20:36] Iku did as Mythran had asked him and got an offering of Sake to pour out for the fallen. Iku had mixed feelings about doing so, he wantd to drink the beverage, not pour it out. His stomach growls and he pops seven hard boiled eggs into his mouth.
  1587. (Iku)
  1588. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1589.
1590. [20:36] Midia follows, but beneath her mask is a growing frown. Annoyance perhaps even.
  1591.
1592. The person before her was told to go for an holy ground, a place of marriage, ceremony and peace to be executed non-chalently.
  1593.
1594. It didn't resonate well in her mind, that in such a holy place one would be killing a sentient being-
  1595.
1596. To desecrete the temple of Jiuweihu by the act of bringing forth an undead within its doors was one, but to permit their blood to be shed there, where she had her wedding and so many had grown several thousand of eventful moments could be beared with.
  1597.
1598. "That is too much. Have you no conscience of the atrocities you are now doing?
  1599.
1600. Within the temple of my kin's mother. To the eye of Jiuweihu you offer blood and sacrifice by tarnishing her temple with death and execution.
  1601.
1602. Yes, you may've brought her servent to watch and give him a ceremony like I desired, but nowyou simply ought to spill his blood Here?!"
  1603.
1604. She pauses, sighing deeply as her voice didn't sound angry, but just tired and amazed at the attitude and decisions of the people surrounding her. Moving forth she continues, her movements already having separated her from the crowd.
  1605.
1606. "If you are to sacrifice him here, within the last temple of the illuminated, I shall not bear you good favor. I have contemplated idiocy and misdirections from heavens, myself and everyone in this world, but to do such an afront to my faith I will not stand."
  1607.
1608. She steps glare at the crowd through her mask, taking her time to scan them over with nearly an icey voice, deep with meaning. Though as stated, there would be no hatred. Only slow and steady words as she'd have hoped reason could prevail over them.
  1609. (Midia Di Maria)
  1610. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1611.
1612. [20:41] It's very strange, to be led so far. To be led so high, and so close to the moon. He hadn't looked up to her today, but to look upon the full moon, the symbol of his humanity -
  1613.
1614. it fills him with joy. With strength, in a certain fashion.
  1615.
1616. Rather than sitting, he stands atop this mountain, higher up than anyone could ever have hoped he would have dreamed he ever could have.
  1617.
1618. "Mother Moon. I've worked so hard to achieve what you told me to do. I've tried, for so long, to achieve every goal that you helped me see that I had."
  1619.
1620. He bathes in the moon's light, communing with the spirit that had guided him for so long, now.
  1621.
1622. "Your light was the first thing that I ever saw, of the natural world. It was wonderful. Soothing. Cold, yet so wonderful."
  1623.
1624. So tell me, Mother Moon.
  1625.
1626. He feels so alive, in this moment. So separated from the idea of death - isn't this what it meant to be human?
  1627.
  1628. What should I do?
  1629.
1630. An ethereal voice calls out from the darkness, high above the sky. It's masculine and feminine alike, as the avatar of the moon's light allows it to channel through him.
  1631.
1632. The spirit speaks from Eiphraem's lover's lips.
  1633.
1634. "Do what you've always done, Perseus.
  1635.
1636. Break your chains. It all led up to this, didn't it?
  1637.
1638. You've been trapped, for so long..."
  1639.
1640. As the communion breaks, Perseus draws his sword. The inscription reads -
  1641.
1642. 'Humanity is my Strength. Oblivion is my Peace.'
  1643.
1644. A silver bubble begins to form at the end of his blade, as the inscriptions fill with lunar light. He turns it downward, flipping it in his grip - as if he were preparing to drive it into his belly.
  1645.
1646. He lets out his breath with a little laugh. It frosts in the air.
  1647.
1648. "So this is how it ends?"
  1649. (Perseus)
