- Nausea stabs through you as your attunement to the footsteps of the gods and Holy mana wavers and becomes lost!
- You blink.
- Strangely, you can sense absolutely nothing. It's as if magic didn't exist.
- You say, No magic.
- You say, There's no magic again.
- You grimace.
- Briaen gazes up at the sky.
- The tuxedo cat purrs, did you feel that?
- [General][Myrable] anyone else just felt cut off from mana again?
- Tekhelet asks, Just us or everyone?
- [General] You hear your mental voice echo, Magic is gone again
- The tuxedo cat purrs, everyone
- Tekhelet says, Everyone.
- [General][Gwenddolyn] no magic
- You say, Everyone.
- [General][Efrate] Yep just cut off
- [General][Leayne] magic is gone
- You shudder.
- [General][Adaline] what the heck was that
- [General][Illiya] Well that was really inopportune timing
- [commune]>commune meraud
- As you commune you sense that the ground is already consecrated.
- [General][Casari] Who's doing something exciting and where are they doing it? You know, the kind of something that would cause this?
- Allye angles her ears forward in curiosity.
- Tekhelet stands up.
- You wave to Allye.
- Allye ponders.
- [General][Akeiro] It wasn't me.
- [General][Harsh] i can feel no holy mana
- Allye quietly says, I thought something might be wrong here. My connection to magic was just severed again.
- Heart Tender Kethrai just arrived, leading his group.
- Anuril casually observes the area.
- Kethrai says, Duty calls.
- You say, Wasn't us.
- Anuril makes a grunting noise.
- Sliyder says, It's going to get weird.
- Allye nods to you.
- Allye frowns.
- [General][Nulak] again?
- You say, But this is a good place to be.
- Rejind asks, Anyone got wounds?
- You nod.
- You take in a great breath of air.
- Rejind says, Want to try something.
- You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs.
- [General][Efrate] Elemental is also absent.
- Rejind says, Actually, hrm.
- Shards of pain drive through your skull, the separation from your attunement making you clutch your head!
- Allye angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Rejind.
- Rejind asks you, Let me try something?
- Tekhelet shakes his head.
- [General] You hear your mental voice echo, Empaths, your cabinet is full. If you're healing others, please make sure.. Ow
- Kethrai winces.
- You shudder.
- Cryle whimpers softly.
- [General][Keirran] Well thats not good
- A pained expression crosses Allye's face.
- Tekhelet kneels down.
- You nod to Rejind.
- Allye says, Owww...
- You rub your head.
- Tekhelet exclaims, Ack!
- You grimace.
- (Tekhelet clutches his head in pain)
- You enfold Tekhelet in a warm embrace. A faint scent of wolf clings to his skin.
- [General][Adaline] magic is gone but magic thought machine still working. interesting.
- Rileos says to Anuril, Got distracted, but it's fine.
- Rileos nods.
- Briaen nods to Rileos.
- Rejind says, Empathic healing is working.
- You observe Rejind with fascination.
- [General][Sahnchin] as much as I would like to take credit for this, I wasn't doing anything when it happened.
- Rileos nods to Briaen.
- Rejind says to you, It is as we suspected.
- You nod to Rejind.
- Allye says to Rejind, Just cannot heal ourselves, unfortunately.
- You take a relieved breath as your being is flooded with magic again. The feeling of nausea remains.
- Allye says, We all had the same thought, it seems.
- Kethrai says, Back again.
- [General] You hear your mental voice echo, We're back
- Allye slowly empties her lungs.
- You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs.
- Rileos says, Anybody seen Tirost? This is his fault after all.
- Your body shudders, but you immediately turn your attention to the beacon. As you examine the construct, you hear a faint sound coming from... the floor? Must be your imagination.
- Kethrai says, Getting Heal up while I can...
- You continue to examine the beacon for any damage, and despair at the thought of having to resupply all of the mana you've channeled into it thus far. Hanging your head in exhaustion, the feeling of hopelessness washes over you. A tear leaks from your eye.
- Briaen says, I have not.
- You say, Gods, this is awful.
- You frown.
- What *IS* that sound? You turn your head and scan the room, but nothing amiss. It sounds so familiar! You could swear you heard Ayrell's voice. And was that Miskton?
- Aerilia blinks.
- Rileos glances up at the sky.
- You blink.
- You take in a great breath of air.
- You whirl around in shock and listen intently! Yes, there! It's coming from.. is that the one Saragos said is Block 139? You scramble forward, landing on your knees, and press your face to the floor trying to hear more.
- Kethrai blinks at you.
- Rileos says, Probably a good idea to get some magic up while we can, yeah.
- Your eyes fly open wide! It *IS* them! You can hear them! You frantically dig through your watersilk bag for a parchment and quill, and begin transcribing what you hear. A sob escapes your throat as the messages become clear.
- Tekhelet rubs you gently, massaging your sore muscles.
- Anuril observes you with fascination.
- Kethrai gazes silently at you.
- You say, They're here! They're... right here...
- Tekhelet asks you, What's wrong?
- Rileos glances at you.
- Anuril searches around for a moment.
- Rileos asks you, What?
- Anuril searches around for a moment.
- Tekhelet searches around for a moment.
- Sliyder searches around for a moment.
- Anuril searches around for a moment.
- (Nawain pats at one of the stones, listening close.)
- Anuril shrugs.
- Allye angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at you.
- read my paper
- A piece of parchment paper reads:
- Madigan, we are alive, together, and fighting. Ours is a battle, but you and the world are at war. You must take action, not just talk! Fix the imbalance! We will fight together again, my love.
- Ezerak? Ez, if you can hear me, I am alive. Tell our children... tell them I will find a way home. Protect them, please. I beg of you. We are trying to find a way out, but the world is in danger and in desperate need of your help. You must keep fighting! Do not give up!
- Saragos, we're still alive. We've searched, researched, experimented exhaustively, and there's no way out from this side. The others seem optimistic but I think I may see things more clearly than they do, and I am losing hope. Take care of our children. I love you.
- Vaerek, hope this reaches you. Spread the word. We are all still alive. Our magic is suppressed. No physical restraints, but no objects or landscape to interact with. Passage of time difficult to gauge. No sign of captors. Do not believe we have moved far from initial entry point, but difficult to judge.
- Anuril. We are alive and will escape if possible. You know your duty. Don't miss your shot at killing them to save us, and don't let anyone else. If I don't make it, tell those punks I'll see them in the void.
- (Kethrai leans to read what Nawain was scribbling.)
- You say, Oh... Oh, I can hear them... This...
- [Arhat's Tower, Workshop]
- Very little is recognizable from the workshop's original contents. The walls are broken off at half their intended height and the area lies open to the elements. The only obvious sign of the room's prior function, odd glowing stains marking the floor, are most likely the result of past experiments gone awry.
- You also see a burning large fire, a small fiery fissure, a chubby grey and white tuxedo cat with white paws that is sitting, a grey cat that is sleeping, an azure fig tree, an articulated maple necklace and a spectral white leopard with luminous blue eyes that is sitting.
- Also here: Mageling Aerilia, Wind Runner Aerivyn, Roughneck Rileos, Cryle, Veteran Apprentice Anuril who has a fiery visage, Heart Tender Kethrai, Shadow Tracker Sliyder, Fury's Touch Rejind, Cateress Allye who is haloed by ethereal lotus and gladiolus blooms dancing in a gentle breeze, Elemental Aegis Tekhelet who is sheathed in an aura of crackling electricity and Knight Penitent Briaen who is sitting.
- Obvious paths: down.
- Room Number: 14104
- Allye looks with concern at you.
- Allye asks you, What do you hear?
- You say, Anuril. There's a message for Anuril.
- Anuril blinks.
- Allye glances at Anuril.
- Anuril says, I'm here.
- You say, We are alive and will escape if possible. You know your duty. Don't miss your shot at killing them to save us, and don't let anyone else. If I don't make it, tell those punks I'll see them in the void.
- Anuril comes and stands near you.
- Anuril smirks.
- Anuril quietly says, Halipa.
- Allye trills, her ears relaxing minutely back against her head.
- The sound of your friends voices is gone, but at least you wrote it all down!
- Aerilia frowns.
- You say, And Ezerak...? And Madigan, and Saragos, and Vaerek...
- You wave your parchment paper around.
- Allye gazes at you.
- Tystreith rubs his head.
- Rileos frowns.
- ou say, They're still there, just *right* there.
- Allye frowns.
- You sit up.
- Kethrai asks you, Can you still hear them?
- (Allye tries to follow Nawain's gaze, but she sees nothing.)
- Kethrai asks, Can they hear us?
- (Tekhelet helps Nawain to her feet, supporting her)
- Tekhelet asks you, Can you bring them back?
- Sir Madigan just arrived.
- Madigan snaps to attention and hails Rejind with a crisp hand salute.
- Madigan nods to Rejind.
- You say, I... That's all. I think we've... I don't know. Moved out of alignment? I need to give Sihmiauri more mana. Maybe.
- You offer your parchment paper to Madigan, who has 30 seconds to accept the offer. Type CANCEL to prematurely cancel the offer.
- Allye trills softly to herself.
- Madigan has accepted your offer and is now holding a piece of parchment paper.
- Madigan glances at you.
- Cryle quirks one ear sideways in confusion.
- Severei says, Mm...
- Madigan gets some reading spectacles from inside his traveler's pack.
- Aerilia furrows her brow.
- Kethrai gazes at you.
- Madigan frowns at some reading spectacles.
- You say to Madigan, I could hear them. All five of them.
- Madigan puts on some reading spectacles.
- Madigan asks, All five of our people?
- Madigan raises an eyebrow in your direction.
- You nod.
- Rileos observes you with fascination.
- Tystreith asks, Was that when the mana was stopped?
- Madigan asks, What did you hear?
- Madigan raises an eyebrow in your direction.
- Kethrai says, It seemed to be just after.
- You say, It was only for a moment, but they were right there, like there was just a thin wall.
- You say to Madigan, I wrote it down. So I wouldn't forget.
- Madigan nods to you.
- (Nawain points at the paper.)
- (Tekhelet helps Nawain to a stone seat)
- Aerivyn asks you, Can you share what else you heard? Please?
- Rileos says, Yeah, I hope it wasn't just pillow talk.
- Rileos says to Madigan, I do not want to hear y'alls pillow talk.
- You take in a great breath of air.
- Anuril appears to be trying hard not to grin.
- You say, Dantia spoke first.
- Madigan grunts at Rileos.
- Allye gazes at you.
- Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at you.
- You say, She said, Madigan, we are alive, together, and fighting. Ours is a battle, but you and the world are at war. You must take action, not just talk! Fix the imbalance! We will fight together again, my love.
- You say, Then Ayrell spoke.
- Anuril makes a grunting noise.
- Rejind asks, Perhaps the message for Saragos and Ezerak should wait until they are present?
