Interfering Chronicles: I Am Alive

I Am Alive Fic Outline:

1. Greg arrives at the outskirts of Bastion. He talks about how it's been a year since he's been here and how he hopes to find his wife Kynthia, son Naito, and daughter Nótt. Traverses the bridge and walks into the sewer. He passes by a survivor who wants him to keep away. Greg does so and ends up in the city proper. Ends with the survivor with the machete coming up while he's checking the lock.

2. Summary of what Greg has on him, then holding up the machete guy and kicking him down below and getting the machete, subsequently getting through. Finds a medkit and gives it to Audrey so she can use it on Stephan.

3. During his flashback, Greg had been speaking with Louis when the Event began. The latter is unconscious and rescued by Greg. The flashback ends and Greg finds Kitten, mistakes her for Nótt from a distance and chases her.

4. Greg rescues her from the thugs, then talks with Kitten, hearing Techie (Kara) on the radio and decides to take Kitten to her apartment.

5. Greg reaches the subway and traverses it with Kitten on his back. He reaches Techie's apartment, leaves a sick Kitten behind to get her some medicine.

6. Greg climbs up to the roof of the mall and gets the medicine and a grappling hook. He returns by sliding down the building with the medicine, and, after a few hours, gets the bow and arrow from Techie and leaves to find a working transmitter.

7. Greg travels to a shipwreck and retrieves the transmitter, seeing the dead, tortured victim, but leaving. Greg returns with the transmitter, learns from Techie that Kitten's mom Azumi had been taken to the hotel and leaves to rescue her.

8. Greg arrives at the hotel (including all that happens), finds a tied up Azumi. He cuts her free, only for her to steal his gun, which is loaded and aim it at him. Greg talks her out of it by mentioning Kitten and Techie.

9. Greg is led out of the hotel (saving Jess from a rapist in one of the side rooms) and through the subway by Azumi. They talk about Kitten and his son and daughter on the way. Greg and Azumi arrive at Techie's apartment. Azumi has a tearful reunion with Kitten. Greg and Techie talk about a boat searching for survivors. The latter suggests using some of her fireworks she had leftover from New Years Eve to use as a flare and gives it to Greg.

10. Greg travels to the point marked by Techie and lights the fireworks there. He then leaves for the pier to regroup with Techie, Azumi and Kitten, not knowing that that is where Anthony set up his camp.

11. Greg meets with Azumi to learn that a gang had attack them and got separated from Kitten. He lends her his gun and searches the amusement park.

12. Greg ends up surrounded by Anthony's gang, and sneaks around, trying to take them out. He finds Techie's wheelchair but no sign of Techie. Nearby, he finds a hidden Kitten who explains she was separated from Techie.

13. Greg turns around and faces the survivalist he had run into a few times in Haventon, Anthony. A short battle ensues between the two and ends with Greg blowing off Anthony's head with the shotgun he had acquired from one of the survivors earlier, though not happy about having to do so.

14. Greg traverses above the sunken amusement park with Kitten on his back. He reaches Azumi and meets the boat captain, Flora, who shows that Isaac, Cheryl, and the other remaining survivors (in various states of a lack of quality) held off the remaining members of the gang to keep them from getting on the boat, including lopping off weapon hands or forcing surrenders. Greg decides to stay behind and says goodbye, citing that he still needs to find his wife and son. He also states that he intends to search for Techie since she was still out there. Kitten gives him her doll so he would give it to Naito. Fic ends with the recorder being turned off, revealing Kyn who cries in her arms and his things spread out, including the doll Kitten had given him.
