- The initial stages of your infiltration, on the other hand, go clean enough. The enclave either doesn't own or have the equipment operational to detect the thermal signatures made by your stealthy fireteam as you cut into their outer walls, breaching through the base silently. Silencers have come a long way since the late twentieth century, and your entry is marked only by the distinctive hiss of an assault cannon as a nearby mercenary's grey matter is painted onto the side of the fort.
- Judging by the size of what is clearly their central lodging, you estimate that the camp's maximum capacity is around fifty people, meaning that there's liable to be a handful of other guards around and awake. But attention is immediately diverted by the silent team onto a flat, concealed central facility that takes up the majority of the enclave's space, covered and painted in material that you recognize as overhead optical camouflage. Advanced.
- The first surprise comes at the door, pneumatically sealed and timelocked. The high-tech device is out of place with its garish surroundings of scrapmetal encampments. One of your operatives pries open the keyreader with little difficulty; it isn't so advanced that spoofing it proves overly difficult, and after a minute of looping the device back onto itself with the aid of a few inserted tools, the door slides open. Entering in is the next shock. In hard contrast with the simple scrap and concrete the actual building has been cobbled together from, an advanced array of extremely high-tech equipment - the place is practically lined with monitors, set up between long workbenches and tables, each one covered with beakers full of unidentifiable material. Empty benches with restraints and holds are scattered about at strategic locations, and there's an array of intimidating surgical tools in one corner of the room. The walls, moreover, are splayed with a variety of symbols and languages; your men recognize some form of cyrillic alongside kanji. There's only one phrase written in English; 'NO UNAUTHORIZED'. It's printed in bold red on the lone, unoccupied elevator at the back of the room.
- This is a goddamn expensive organ-running operation.
