pavel snooping around artyoms private quarters and stuff when artyoms not around, finding all these books, fiction and nonfiction alike, maths and philosophy and language, old notebooks full of the intellectual shit artyom did on his free time, all of it showing signs of having been thoroughly used for a while, but not for several years now...
pavel having noticed that in some of thr more private rooms artyom likes to spend time in, there are occasional spots on the wall that look like they used to have pictures hanging there- but theres still some pictures still hanging, so which ones were removed?

and then maybe he finds the stored away pictures, mostly portraits, some of the prince in younger years, some of a woman with dark bobbed hair with a crown sitting atop, always looking serene and kind, and in a couple pictures, holding an infant or toddler with a particular birthmark on its right cheekbone...

artyoms desk is probably a mess that hasnt been cleaned or sorted in years
and looks like the last time it was used someone was very frustrated with it all and might have just thrown a few things. some things haphazardly stuffed into drawers, drawers never properly shut or with stuff sticking out,
maybe pavel asks some older servants for stories about the prince, under pretense of wanting to know more about where hes working and who hes working for! and getting all these stories of young artyom, who was always polite and eager, a but lazy and sleepy sometimes but so modest and humble. always had an issue with talking after the queens death, but was still eager to socialize. shame hes become such a perverted brat these last few years, hes like a different person
and pavel is just left to look at all these signs of abrupt upheaval like what happened
