  1. "Queen of Heaven" is a title often used for Mother Mary by the Catholic Church in prayers and such. It's an exaggerated (purposefully, to revere her in a greater way) version of her actual title, which is the "Queen Mother". The title "Queen Mother" comes from a practice in which God instituted in the formation of the Kingdom of Israel, which is the special status of the mother of the king. "Queen Mother" is that title and should not be confused with "Queen" or assumed to be equal to that of the king like the Queen. The title is one of respect, not authority.

  3. >Jeremiah 7 says the "Queen of Heaven" is bad!
  4. The Book of Jeremiah is part of the Old Testament and the Queen of Heaven they speak about is the Ishtar/Inanna of antiquity. There is no hate on the notion of there being a Queen of Heaven but one that individual named Queen of Heaven, whom is Ishtar. Ishtar, in her mythology, is a literal queen.

  6. >Ishtar is Mary!
  7. This is absurd. There is no reason to make this connection but a similar title. Mary and Ishtar both received their titles in vastly different ways and they mean vastly different things.
