  9. **Item #:** SCP-2222
  10.
  11. **Anomaly Class:** Safe // Object
  12.
  13. **Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-2222 is to be kept in a Standard Small Item Storage Locker at Site 24's Sensitive Items Wing. Standard theft and damage protections associated with SSISL are in place. Testing requires the permission of Site 24's active Testing Supervisor, currently Dr. O'Hoolihan. Gloves must be worn at all times when handling SCP-2222.
  14.
  15. Due to the risk of accidental activation, all testing of SCP-2222 must take place at Site 24's remote testing station, with no less than six dentally normal D-class personnel on standby within the testing chamber.
  16.
  17. Testing of SCP-2222 has been temporarily halted pending reallocation of funds.
  18.
  19. **Description:** SCP-2222 is a black Dell keyboard with standard ISO mechanical layout. Interaction with any of twelve keys on SCP-2222 affects one or more teeth in a manner described below. SCP-2222's anomalous properties are only correlated to the physical keys themselves, and are not affected by the condition of the rest of the keyboard or the actions of any device to which it is connected. Any subjects who do not possess the appropriate dentition will not be affected by SCP-2222.

  23. ||~ Key ||~ Anomalous activity ||
  24. || __R__ || Removal of the __R__ key from SCP-2222 results in all teeth of the nearest adult feline to retreat into its jaws at a rate of 0.2 mm per day, with repeated removal of the __R__ key increasing this speed linearly. The process is irreversible, and will cause extensive damage to the jaw unless all teeth are removed. ||
  25. || __F10__ || Replacement of the __F10__ key after removal from SCP-2222 causes all second molars of the second-nearest human will produce additional enamel at a rate of 0.8g per hour, with no obvious source for the additional mass. The only known method of ending this process is chemical destruction of the tooth via acid or combustion. ||
  26. || __G__ || When __G__ is pressed, the left upper central incisor of the nearest human will separate from the subject's jaw and gums. No other permanent damage is incurred. ||
  27. || __Esc__ || Human skin contact with the __Esc__ key results in one tooth at random for each mammal within 80 meters of SCP-2222 to detach from the subject's jaw and spontaneously relocate to the subject's maxillary sinus. ||
  28. || __0__ || Any human who presses the __0__ key will acquire one cavity per day for the next seven days, with each cavity occurring in a tooth adjacent to a previously affected tooth. Removal of any tooth before the seventh cavity occurs will result in immediate necrosis of all dental tissue. ||
  29. || __Ctrl__ || When either __Ctrl__ button is pressed, four random teeth from the nearest human or chimpanzee subject will lose all enamel tissue. ||
  30. || __O__ || All human subjects within four meters of SCP-2222 will experience equivalent sensations in their lower left third molar whenever the __O__ key is exposed to a stimulus, e.g. a sensation of pressure when __O__ is pressed. No measurable physical change in the tooth has been noted in any test. ||
  31. || __T__ || When the __T__ key is loosened, if it remains attached to SCP-2222, all teeth of all subjects within 17 meters will migrate to the front of the mouth and face outwards while remaining attached to the jaw. This process leads to disfigurement, discomfort, and difficulty speaking and chewing; however, it does not directly affect the subject's overall health. ||
  32. || __Alt__, __Del__ || Deliberate application of torque to either of these keys results in the conversion of the nearest human subject's upper right canine into nitroglycerin. The nitroglycerin will detonate, severely injuring the subject and possibly those nearby. ||
  33. || __E__ || Replacement of the __E__ key after removal from SCP-2222 causes all teeth of the nearest mammal subject to rapidly elongate to three times their original length and develop extremely sharp serrated edges. Exposure to the blood of an affected subject or direct contact with the subject's teeth causes the effect to spread to other mammals. This process causes extreme pain in subjects, often leading to distressed vocalizations and panicked, erratic behavior. ||

  36. **Recovery Log 2222:**
  37.
  38. __Location:__ SCP-2222 was recovered from the home of Dr. Kateřina Blahová, a resident of Bělov, Czech Republic on July 30, 2006.
  39.
  40. __Summary:__ Records indicate that Dr. Blahová, a formerly licensed dentist, was forced to close her practice after repeated complaints of unnecessary removal of her patients' teeth, as well as refusal to provide the removed tissue to its owner upon request. She was reported missing on July 25, 2006, and has not since been located. The Foundation was alerted after local law enforcement's investigation into the disappearance revealed a complex arrangement of over 300 human and animal teeth in Dr. Blahová's basement. When several teeth were disturbed, SCP-2222 materialized in the center of the arrangement. Attempts to recreate the pattern have been unsuccessful.
