Saizo: Once we've defeated these bandits, why don't we take a tour around the festival together? We might even find the shop of your dreams.

Asugi: Hah? What's gotten into you? Do you have a headache or something?

Saizo: I suppose it's natural that you'd think so...but this festival is for the kids. So I'm trying to be a good father and spend time with my son. You should be delighted. [he says it as a demand, not really sure how to get that across, sorry]

Asugi: I ought to be angry about the arrogant way you say that, but...thanks, I guess? But once the festival starts again, I'm planning to find some sweets stands and sample every single one of their wares. You loathe candy, so that doesn't sound fun at all, right?

Saizo: Ugh...! Well, it couldn't be too bad to try it just once.

Asugi: What? Couldn't be too bad, huh...so you're saying you'll eat some, too?

Saizo: Yes...I'm prepared to do it.

Asugi: ...Dad, do you have some kind of ulterior motive?

Saizo: No...nothing like that. I only came to try and make time for us to talk to each other, as father and son. I want us to have an opportunity to talk frankly with each other. ...That's all.

Asugi: This really is new for you. Is it because of the atmosphere of the festival? I'll burn this image into my memory forever -- my father, willing to eat something sweet. My father, eating a candy apple. My father, tearing off a bit of cotton candy. My father, smacking his lips at a dumpling, the fifth Saizo, putting a candied chestnut into his own mouth...

Saizo: ...Ugh.

Asugi: Just imagining it makes you sick, huh? Fine, I'll stop. You're obviously getting irritated, so let's go ahead and have our heart-to-heart.

Saizo: ...Right. Go on and talk.

Asugi: Thanks, Dad. It's thanks to you and Mom that I was raised so well. All your talk of living up to my name is annoying, but...I know your love is the real thing. So, uh...thanks. A lot.

Saizo: ...Asugi.

Asugi: What, are you about to cry from happiness or something?

Saizo: Nonsense. I won't let a single tear flow. But...I accept your words with gratitude. That was the highest compliment I could receive from my son.

Asugi: ...Alright. Well, we should go beat those bandits. That's all I wanted to say.

Saizo: Hey, I haven't had the chance to say what I wanted yet.

Asugi: Something about how you're so happy I'm your son and that I grew up to be such a fine man, right? I can tell without you saying it. Because...we're family.
