  3. What specifically would you want to have being done differently? I'd love to hear the details of your plan, because I feel like I could run these ideas up to Trello or even better just work on them on my own and release them. I've been playing Era since 2009 so obviously the state of the server means a lot to me. While I do not have the most time on my hands since I'm not getting paid, I'm still interested in implementing these changes you are talking about.

  10. I don't exactly have a "written plan" and writing it now would slightly be all over the shop but I'll try to type a TLDR

  12. We slightly change the Gang layout to have 4 "Main Gangs" alongside the player created Gangs to keep them in check. The "Main Gangs" will have 4 bases across the map; within the base will be whatever + a safe room.

  14. We release the "purge event" as a daily/by-daily event from x time to x time each day/by-daily. That then allocates a set time that everyone knows to get on and play because during this time you will be able to kill everyone everywhere etc

We slowly add things to the purge; like robbing stores etc and being able to take the "money" (obviously a % of the safe) back to their gang base to deposit it into their safe (obviously change the way safes work so they get paid out @ a set time once a week to stop people from withdrawing money every day etc) (business owners can purchase upgrades etc to their business to make it harder, rereleasing PPA etc as well)

  20. add more beneficial things to player-created gangs with the over-all points as a currency; 10k = +1 slot, then the next purchasable +1 slot is 25k, 50k, 100k and 250k - add +.05 damage to guns for the same increments and +5 health at higher increments etc

  22. "Main Gangs" will also be able to do this etc but they will start with 10 slots, player created will start with 5.

  24. The player created gangs will obviously always be aiming to knock out "main gangs" to take their place as a "Main Gang" as "Main Gangs" will have more things they can do (obviously we keep increasing the member limits etc based on the influx in playercount)

  26. then we continue to add things to purge like; stealing cars and obtaining ownership of them until they get restolen from you; you can buy "pick-locks" off of people or even do a quest to obtain a better percentage of how well you can pick-lock etc (can be repeated and caps @ a certain percentage)

  30. then after x amount of time; we make the "purge event" the entire game and businesses etc can allocate times of which their business is closed based off of their time-zone; so

  42. forgot to add that each week the gang leader will recieve the payout for the week of what the gang had in their safe, they then can allocate their own paying systems which then make people obviously want to be in the best paying gang and make them compete on that financial level as well as having those strong bonds and friendships.

  44. i.e I pay my 10 guys 10% each of the weekly total where as you decide the top 5 will get 20% or whatever; more noobier type players a likely to join my gang because they'll get a set wage each week while as more elites might be inclined to be in yours because they know they can compete for that little bit more.

  48. but you get the gist; add all the cool shit that people actually enjoy and want to do during this "purge" and then over time we make the "purge" the full game; PK everywhere, gangs run the streets, fit in or get left behind, whatever the fucking f11 shit says when you actually click era.

  58. I really like these ideas, might consider working on something like that. Gangs pretty much serve no purpose right now. My only worry is that some gangs might be too strong to the point where they cannot be stopped. For example, you mentioned health bonuses. New players would get completely destroyed by people with large health bonuses. That is part of the reason HP levels were removed from the game.

  69. in reality it'd be 10k for +5 HP, 50k for +5 hp and 100k for +5 hp and 250k for +5HP, capping it at +20 over-all

  71. and the time it'd take to actually MAX out your gangs shit would be quite a while. I know when we were raiding ALL DAY EVERY DAY with 60+ people, the most points we ever achieved in 1 week (the elitest guild) was 20k (with double points being randomly activated every day for hours on end as well.

  76. but yeah, you get the whole gist of things and obviously a lot of it is change-able to fit the meta and direction we want to take (whether it be pay to win, play to win, mixtures etc)

  78. the end-goal I think for anyone who wants to Manage Era would be to obviously make it so successful that upper Management starts paying you a set wage to keep everything being so successful.

  94. so then you add +.5 damage, 5 times to have a max +2.5 damage on your guns etc as well and those would obviously have their own different amounts- 50k, 100k, 200k, 350k and 600k.

  102. I'm all in for you being manager of Era alongside Trello. You seem to be very experienced. You are suggesting something huge to revamp gangs, and I actually like your ideas. You clearly have a much clearer direction for the server, and if you would actually be able to pay developers things would actually be getting done.

  107. Yeah, I think the one thing that has just screamed to me over the years is the way that people take up the "Manager" title and the way they act with it.

  109. I don't want to be the sole "Manager". I want to have a "Management" team, that councils over everything and have their own direct departments but also are considered "Manager" so that people can ideally contact someone at all times in propose of things and to have proposed things happen.
