  3. NOTE: Acestream streams are p2p torrents, which require your internet to simultaneously upload data to other users to ensure a lag-free stream. So please connect to acestream only if you have upload speed atleast half of that of the stream speed.

  8. Step 1: Download Acestream for windows from this link http://info.acestream.org/#/install
  9. (vlc 2.0.5 version recommended), Install it.

  11. Note: Acestream have provided a video installation instruction below the download which you can refer to as well.

  13. Step 2: Open Acestream and to play its link, either press ctrl + T OR Select Open Acestream Content ID from the Media (on top left).

  15. Step 3: Paste the Acestream id in the field available in the window that pops up and press play. Wait till the stream prebuffers while connecting to peers and it will start. [Copy paste the link, trying to open the acestream link in browsers might result in the browser performing a google search.]

  17. Common issues
  18. 1. If you wish to watch acestream on browsers you must enable the addon and restart the browser if necessary.
  19. 2. Allow acestream through your firewall !
  20. 3. Acestream is p2p torrent. So ISP's can often throttle such connections resulting in laggy stream even with high speed connections. PAID VPN's are the way to overcome throttling.

  25. Settings:
  26. 1. Open any Link, opening the AceStream app
  27. 2. Go to your taskbar on the lower right and right click the AceStream icon, then go to "Options"
  28. 3. Change Live Buffer to 30s or more
  29. 4. Keep Download and Upload limits "0"
  30. 5. On the "Advanced tab", keep the port "8621"
  31. 6. On the "Advanced tab", change the total max connections to "500"
  32. 7. On the "Advanced tab", change the max connections per stream to "100"
  33. 8. Click "Ok"
  34. 9. Open your router settings
  35. 10. Open port "8621" in your router settings
  36. 11. Enable UPnP in your router settings
  37. 12. Save settings and restart router
