Beginner's Guide to Echoes.

So you've decided to support the remake of Gaiden, awesome! You're awesome! but you're a little bit confused on what to do.

This little guide is here to help you understand a few things about Gaiden I hope it helps.

So on Alm's side you get access to 4 villagers right off the bat, One being completely new to the series which is Faye, and you're wondering which ones would be the best in what role. Where here are the ones most people use and I myself are using for Hard mode(This applies to Normal as well)

First off I want to say this game is a lot different than any other Fire Emblem, You want to promote immediately do not wait as soon as you get the okay to promote just do it. You get more promotion gains that way.

Gray = Mercenary. Gray is an excellent unit and a perfect fit for the Mercenary role you will get the most out of Gray going this route.

Tobin = Mage or Archer, In the original I would go Archer it just felt better. Tobin isn't really an amazing unit in the original or the remake but making him a Mage will help a lot because once he's promoted he can provide a lot of utility. So the option for him to go Archer is there but I would recommend Mage.

Kliff = Mage or Archer. My personal favorite :) love this dude. Mage is the go to in the original but unfortunately it Mage got nerfed in this version. So i would say make him an Archer immediately and the first shrine you visit make sure to give him all the speed stat so he can double ASAP.

Faye = Pegasus Knight or Cleric. This depends on what you want really, more healing or another flier? I prefer more Healing it's really nice on Alm's route and Clerics have really good kill potential. Pegasus Knight is also nice because one promoted they do bonus damage to monsters, but this isn't really useful in Alm's route since there aren't that many monsters you fight, but It is nice! My personal pick is Cleric.

A small tip for Celica's route, I would suggest giving Boey all the speed stat shrines so he can double. Boey is more of a tanky Mage which is awkward so he is very slow this can easily be fixed with just feeding him some speed(OwO)
