  1. Assumptions I think the wealth table/bestiaries make:
  2. NPC levels only: CR=HD-2, basic wealth
  3. PC levels: CR=HD-1, heroic wealth
  4. PC wealth: CR+1
  5. I'll mention CR if it doesn't abide by these.
  6.
  7. Wealth:
  8. - A character's wealth will be mentioned if they are outside +/- 25% of their expected value OR it bypasses the above rules (NPC levels but heroic wealth for example)
  9. - If a character has a variable wealth in their items (say, 2d6gp) I treat it as the maximum for the purposes of the rule
  10. -I assume items are all purchased, even if the character could craft them.
  11. -I assume monsters with class levels should have "NPC Gear" treasure, ie 'the monster has treasure as normal for an NPC of a level equal to the monster’s CR'.
  12.
  13. Point Buy:
  14. - I assume that characters with only PC levels will be 20PB and characters with NPC levels will be 15PB; I will remark if a character goes against these.
  15. - I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in Point Buy: if I can make it fit a multiple of 5, I'll assume that's what they went with (but only the lowest multiple)
  16. -If I can't get it to fit a multiple of 5, I'll attempt to try the two Paizo NPC arrays (13/12/11/10/9/8 or 15/14/13/12/10/8)
  17. -If neither fit, I'll list all available point buys I could find.
  18.
  19. NPC analysis:
  20. - Any character with an * in front of their name has a trait, and the number of *s indicates how many traits (just to illustrate the lack of rhyme or reason)
  21. -Assume race is human unless stated otherwise.
  22.
  23. Monster analysis:
  24. - I'll only be going over the full stat blocks they give. If they just say "see Bestiary entry on pg xx", I will completely ignore it.
  25. - In the AP, almost every creature has a tactics section - even unintelligent ones. If there's something weird in it, I'll mention it, but otherwise just keep that in mind when I say an entry is 'identical' to its Bestiary entry.
  26. - For monsters, anything with a $ in front is NOT an error; important to note when I usually say that they're otherwise identical to their entry in a book or site somewhere.
  27.
  28. very common errors:
  29. -They are incredibly inconsistent with including situational modifiers: sometimes they'll mention Trap Sense in the Reflex save, sometimes they'll mention tracking in the Skills block, sometimes they'll mention trapfinding....and then sometimes they won't. Admittedly, this is more on an inconvenient thing that sometimes even Paizo forgets to do. I'll only mention it if they don't include it at all OR if it's a class feature that is more applicable than not (stalwart, evasion, weapon training, etc.)
  30. -Characters with a PC level as their 1st Hit Die get max HP for that first level. This is in the rules, and was officially clarified in a 2010 FAQ. They universally ignore this until Book 7, their 'appendix' book.
  31.
  32. -Most errors I treat as if the rest of the creature is correct.
  33. If there's a section indented like this, then it is attached to the above error.
  34. This is especially important when it comes to CMB/CMD errors, since 95% of the time if the CMB is incorrect the CMD is as well. By assuming that the given CMB is correct, I can properly analyze the errors they made when writing the CMD.
  35.
  36. -If I can make a good estimate as to what an error is specifically caused by, I will.
  37. This sometimes makes me ignore/forget my informal style guide, especially as I get into high-level characters.
  38.
  39. Notation:
  40. All stats are abbreviated to three letters. +/-ALL CAPITALS is the modifier; Camel Case is the score. Ex. A character with 18 Strength will be abbreviated as +4 STR or 18 Str when appropriate.
  41. Over/Under: If the expected value with the creature is x, 'over by y' means their value is x+y; similarly, 'under by y' means their value is x-y.
  42. Skill ranks: Notated as x/y, and only mentioned if something is wrong. X is how many they have spent, and y is how many they should have based on race/class/level/etc...
  43. Common notation is to treat Chained barbarians as if they're raging, and include a section of non-raging modifiers in Tactics. I'll be continuing that assumption.
  44. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  45. Book 1:
  46.
  47. pg 9, *Tomas Blackerly, Corrupt Watch Sergeant (fighter 3)
  48. Init is under by 1 (Didn't add DEX)
  49. Possibly incorrect damage (assumed to be two-handing longsword, but does not add 1.5*STR. Otherwise has an empty hand for no reason.)
  50. Still has 1105gp left of heroic wealth (67%)
  51.
  52. pg 10, Prison Guard (warrior 2)
  53. Incomprehensible stat line (Is at most a 7 point buy, and doesn't fall into the basic NPC stat array)
  54. Will is under by 1 (somehow: -1 Will despite Wis 10)
  55. Ref is under by 1 (didn't add DEX)
  56. Ranged to-hit is under by 1
  57. 9/8 skill ranks
  58. Still has 179gp left of basic wealth (49%)
  59.
  60. pg 12, Guard Dog
  61. Identical to the Riding Dog entry in Bestiary 1
  62.
  63. pg 16, Servants (commoner 1)
  64. At most a 3 point buy
  65. Not taking -4 on improvised weapons
  66. 3/5 skill ranks
  67.
  68. pg 19, Grumblejack the Ogre (wounded and unarmed)
  69. $Slightly smarter and more charismatic than the typical ogre (but he's supposed to be slightly fiendish so that's acceptable)
  70. Unarmed attack is over by 1 (forgot the -1 from his size)
  71. Otherwise identical statistically to the ogre in Bestiary 1.
  72.
  73. pg 21, Mathias Richter, Warden of Branderscar Prison (aristocrat 1/universalist 3)
  74. 25PB
  75. FCBs are missing
  76. His spellbook should have 1 more 1st level spell just from character progression
  77. Assuming he buys 2 2nd-lvl spells for his spellbook, still has 1553gp of heroic wealth left (65%)
  78.
  79. pg 22, Lashtongue the Giant Toad
  80. Perception was erroneously reduced by 1.
  81. Otherwise identical to Bestiary 2.
  82.
  83. pg 30, Vampiric Mist
  84. An egregious choice, but is identical to the one in Bestiary 2.
  85.
  86. pg 32, Squire Timeon of Balentyne (aristocrat 1)
  87. Fits Basic NPC Array.
  88. Ride is 1 over (forgot -2 ACP and a +1 (either DEX or the skill rank itself))
  89.
  90. pg 32, Mithral Cobras
  91. The mithral variant of Iron Cobras from Bestiary 1.
  92. Didn't add the second attack the mithral component gives.
  93. $Changed the poison to a Dex one, and removed the language about how to refill it.
  94. Otherwise identical to the entry in the Bestiary.
  95.
  96. pg 34, Draugr
  97. Almost directly from Bestiary 2, except reducing their move speeds by 10ft: "they are slowed by their shackled feet."
  98. Why this doesn't reduce anything else, like their Reflex save or CMD, is beyond me. It's so arbitrary. It's already a small enough room for them to charge!
  99.
  100. pg 35, *Sir Balin, a captured Knight... (fighter 5)
  101. 25PB
  102. Completely forgot his 1st HD for HP (5d10+20 would be 52, but he has 42)
  103. Missing a feat
  104. Appears to have somehow put 7 skill ranks into Ride
  105.
  106. pg 39, Captain Edward Sambryl (warrior 5)
  107. 15 PB if they forgot racial bonus and the 4HD bonus; 10 PB otherwise
  108. 18/15 skill ranks
  109. Still has 1841gp left of basic wealth (77%)
  110.
  111. pg 40, Sailor
  112. The Foot Soldier from the GMG, switching out the weapons and armor and replacing Step Up with Skill Focus (Profession: sailor)
  113. Swapping out expensive chainmail for cheap leather means they're under basic wealth: 197gp left (76%).
  114.
  115. pg 40, Nerianus, Waves mystery oracle 4
  116. The Triton PC race wasn't out yet, so this was *kind of* a monster w/character levels. But they removed his racial HD.
  117. Fits the Heroic NPC array, rather than borrowing from the Triton creature.
  118. HP doesn't add up (4d8+12 is the right math for an oracle w/14 CON and Toughness, but that averages out to either 30 (incorrectly) or 33.5 (correctly). As written, he has 31.)
  119. Curse isn't written: best guess is Lame, since it by RAW only applies to land speed, and the swim speed reduction could be from wearing his breastplate (which reduces 40ft down to 30ft)
  120. Lacks revelations
  121. 24/20 skill ranks
  122. Perception is over by 6 (likely a typo from copying the base creature over)
  123. Knows 3 more orisons than he should
  124. Caster level of summon monster SLA is the same as racial-HD Tritons (other native outsiders have their SLAs CL = their level; if they were trying to replicate a PC race, it should be like that.)
  125. CR = HD
  126. Funnily enough, if they had properly done the monster+level advancement, it would *actually* be CR 4.
  127.
  128. pg 41, Dolphins
  129. Same as Bestiary 1.
  130.
  131. pg 41, Triton Warriors
  132. Erroneously increased its ranged attack by 1 for some reason.
  133. $Spelled out the full "masterwork" word instead of the 'mwk' shorthand (not necessary...)
  134. Otherwise identical to Bestiary 2's Triton entry.
  135. Didn't change 'craft (any one)'.
  136.
  137. pg 41, Small Water Elemental
  138. Identical to the entry on the pfsrd.
  139.
  140. pg 42, Bunyip
  141. Identical to Bestiary 2's entry.
  142.
  143. pg 43, White Tusk, ambitious young Yutak Chief (ranger 4)
  144. 15PB
  145. "hp 26 (4d8+4)"
  146. Rangers have a d10.
  147. The HP number is right for d10s if they commit their usual error.
  148. "White Tusk casts longstrider on himself...The spell lasts for four hours." Ranger 4 is only CL 1, so it does not last that long.
  149. CMD is under by 1 (Forgot Dodge bonus)
  150. Forgot ACP
  151. Still has 1,926gp left of heroic wealth (80%)
  152.
  153. pg 43, *Joseph Calls-Fire-From-Water, Yutak Medicine Man (druid 3)
  154. 15PB
  155. CMD is under by 1 (Forgot Dodge bonus)
  156. Doesn't meet the Dex 13 requirement for Dodge
  157. Still has 1628gp left of heroic wealth (99%)
  158. Literally more poor than all but 3% of first level characters of his own class.
  159.
  160. pg 44, Whale Hunters (expert 1/warrior 1)
  161. Are either 10PB OR 15PB but forgot the human racial bonus
  162. CMD is under by 1 (Forgot Dodge bonus)
  163. 13/11 skill ranks
  164. Forgot ACP
  165. Still has 368gp left of basic wealth (94%)
  166.
  167. pg 44, ice mephit
  168. Forgot to include the 1/day summon and its vulnerability to fire.
  169. Otherwise identical to Bestiary 1's Mephit entry's ice variant.
  170.
  171. pg 45, small ice elemental
  172. Identical to the pfsrd's entry.
  173.
  174. pg 46, bugbear
  175. Uses a greatclub instead of a morningstar and shield, successfully changing the damage die but forgetting to add 1.5*STR.
  176. Otherwise identical to Bestiary 1.
  177.
  178. pg 48, *Captain Kargeld Odenkirk (barbarian 4)
  179. Base Fort save is under by 2
  180. this makes the given raging Fort also incorrect
  181. Wears medium armour but moves at full barbarian speed
  182. Adds 2*STR to damage instead of the actual 1.5*STR value
  183. Base stats' attack roll is under by 1
  184. Stat block assumes he's raging...except for skills.
  185. It's pretty common to have the entire stat block assume they're raging.
  186. Knows 2 languages despite 10 Int and no Linguistics ranks
  187. CMD is over by 2 (Forgot that the rage penalty affects CMD)
  188.
  189. pg 48, Frosthamar’s Sailors (warrior 2)
  190. Fit the Basic NPC Array.
  191. CMD is under by 1 (forgot the Dodge bonus to CMD)
  192. Doesn't meet the requisite 13 Dex for Dodge.
  193. 4/8 skill ranks
  194. Still has 329gp of basic wealth left (84%)
  195.
  196. pg 55, Bellam Barhold, [bar owner] (expert 3)
  197. Doesn't fit an NPC array; can either be 3PB or 4PB
  198. Has 1 more feat than he should
  199. Assuming a flask of good whiskey is 10gp, still has 348gp of basic wealth left (89%)
  200. 25/24 skill ranks
  201.
  202. pg 55, Barnabus Eisenbauch (expert 4/fighter 2)
  203. 15PB
  204. FCB is missing
  205. Still has 2,428gp of heroic wealth left (52%)
  206.
  207. pg 56, Dwarven engineers (dwarf expert 1/warrior 1)
  208. 10PB
  209. FCB missing.
  210. Still has 144gp of basic wealth left (37%)
  211.
  212. pg 56, *Captain Ryan Varning (fighter 6)
  213. 25 PB
  214. FCB is missing
  215. Will is under by 1
  216. Lance is missing 1.5*STR modifier on damage
  217.
  218. pg 56, Captain Varning’s Warhorse “Varlet”
  219. Identical to the heavy horse on the pfsrd.
  220.
  221. pg 57, Varning’s Rangers (expert 1/warrior 1) (getting really tired of this combo)
  222. Missing FCB
  223. Lance is missing 1.5*STR modifier on damage
  224.
  225. pg 57, Ranger’s Riding Horses
  226. Identical to the Horse from the Bestiary.
  227. This is actually an issue, since the Rangers bought combat-trained horses. Their hooves should be primary weapons (ie '2 hooves +3 (1d4+3)')
  228.
  229. pg 59, William Marcus Marlowe, the Bard of Barrington (half-elf bard 2)
  230. Fits in the Heroic NPC array.
  231. Skill ranks assume he has Versatile Performance in both Perform (act) and Perform (oratory) (it makes the math add up, and it's the only way for him to get the skill bonuses he has on Bluff, Disguise, and Sense Motive. He would otherwise need to put 6(!!) ranks into Sense Motive to get the same benefit)
  232. Forgot ACP from his buckler
  233. Unless his fabulous hat is worth 495gp, he has that much left of heroic wealth (~63%)
  234.
  235. pg 59, Ye Merrie Men (expert 2)
  236. Doesn't fit an NPC stat array; best fit is a 6PB
  237. Fort is 1 over
  238. Ref is 1 over
  239. Int 13 and no Linguistics ranks, but 3 languages (this AP came out before you could purchase them with gold and time)
  240. Complete lack of wealth, but this is factored into their CR (CR 1/3 as opposed to CR 1/2)
  241.
  242. pg 61, *Captain Samual Barhold (fighter 7)
  243. Still 20ft movement despite having Armor Training 2
  244. 20/21 skill ranks OR forgot that his trait gives him +1 Perception
  245. Even including the money in his room, still has 1822gp of heroic wealth left (30%)
  246.
  247. pg 62, *Captain Franz Mott (Fighter 6)
  248. If he has to wield it, he'd be two-handing his longsword (or otherwise having one hand empty for no reason), but this isn't factored into its damage
  249. Forgot -4 ACP
  250.
  251. pg 62, *Captain Zacharias “Zack” Eddarly (fighter 6)
  252. CMD is under by 1 (Forgot Dodge bonus)
  253. 23/24 skill ranks OR forgot that his trait gives +1 Bluff
  254.
  255. pg 63, Barhold’s Men (warrior 2)
  256. Best fits 5 PB (doesn't fit NPC array)
  257. hp is under by 2 (+2 CON but only gets 2d10+2 HP)
  258.
  259. pg 63, Eddarly’s Men (expert 1/warrior 1, AGAIN)
  260. Fits either 3 or 6PB (Doesn't fit NPC array)
  261. Was likely started as a warrior 2:
  262. Will is under by 2 (Expert has a good Will save)
  263. Fort is over by 1 (Good saves go up by 1 at level 2)
  264. 12/11 skill ranks
  265. Forgot ACP
  266. Still has 190gp of basic wealth (49%)
  267.
  268. pg 64, Mott’s Men (warrior 2)
  269. Identical to Barhold's Men except replacing longsword and shield with a halberd
  270. This 25gp tradeoff also puts them just over that 25% threshold for me to mention them being under wealth.
  271.
  272. pg 64, servants
  273. Identical to the ones on pg 16 except for different Tactics
  274.
  275. pg 65, *acolytes (cleric 1 of Mitra The Beneficent Sun)
  276. Doesn't fit an array, fits only 17, 18, or 19PB
  277. KN:religion is under by 1
  278. Still has 276gp of heroic wealth left (71%)
  279.
  280. pg 66, *Father Althus Donnagin (cleric 6 of Mitra the Beneficent Sun)
  281. 25PB
  282. Fort is over by 2
  283. Cure Light Wounds prepared as a 3rd level spell in the domain slot - technically legal, but...
  284. Was probably supposed to be Cure Serious Wounds
  285. Preparing *any* cure spells as a Good cleric makes no sense since you can spontaneously cast them
  286. What isn't legal is having Searing Light in the 1st-level domain slot.
  287. I think it's a bit more clear what happened here now: in writing, they swapped the two domain spells by mistake.
  288. Is missing 1 language
  289. Still has 2943gp of heroic wealth left (63%)
  290.
  291. pg 69, lantern archons
  292. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  293.
  294. pg 69, lantern archon gestalt
  295. The pfsrd nor Paizo themselves have 100% statted out a lantern archon gestalt. Partly because it's easy: it's a Large air elemental with some extra traits. But Jesus Christ did Fire Mountain fuck that up.
  296. They took the air elemental chassis (good!) then removed all its abilities except whirlwind (bad!) and smashed the archon traits on without any regard for what they've done. They even removed its melee attack!
  297. More egregiously, rather than taking the 68hp of the elemental, they combined the 9 archon's HD and HP into an 18 HD monster. This would be even more of a problem if they changed any of the information that's reliant on HD: number of feats, ability score bonuses, saves, skill ranks, DCs, BAB...you know, *just about fucking everything*. Nope, just the HP.
  298. From the gestalt ability: "the gestalt has all the powers and abilities of a Large air elemental *plus* the following: archon, good, and lawful subtypes; archon traits (aura of menace DC 16); 2 light rays (2d6); DR 5/evil and magic." Paizo already did the DC math for you based on the HD and Charisma of a normal Air Elemental! You just took that number without even thinking about where it actually comes from!
  299. ...But I will admit it's *weird* that it gains DR 5/evil and magic when a large air elemental already has DR 5/-.
  300.
  301. pg 71, Ice Golem
  302. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  303.
  304. pg 72, Tacitus of Morimun, Magister of Balentyne (wizard 7)
  305. 25PB
  306. Appears to have forgotten the school specialization slot (or otherwise forgot 1 spell/spell lvl except 0th)
  307. Something was removed from his Gear section, either accidentally or on purpose (and then not properly rectified). The parenthesis terminate in a very weird place.
  308. Because of this, it's hard to determine whether he's *really* within wealth or not. With what I'm given he still has 2273gp of heroic wealth (38%) Subtracting his alleged spellbook worth (which is given but isn't a value I trust) puts him under the 25% threshold.
  309. Also worth noting is that he must have bought two of his 4th level spells in his book.
  310. Minor gripe: they make it out to be some huge deal if the PCs steal his arcane bond, as if that weren't the case for every wizard.
  311.
  312. pg 73, Mad Martin Rayard (commoner 5)
  313. I like this guy's overall style: otherwise a non-combatant, but having always lived in the rookery, he can call up swarms of ravens. With that said, he has some errors.
  314. He's missing a feat
  315. Doesn't fit into an array; fits 6,7, or 8PB.
  316. 24/25 skill ranks.
  317. has 7gp wealth total
  318.
  319. pg 73, Raven Swarm
  320. The Paizo Raven Swarm came out in Bestiary 6, and while it has the same CR, looks completely different. Let's just analyse what Fire Mountain made.
  321. First off, I acknowledge that swarms are a hard subtype to apply to a creature. However, they made several errors that should have been caught when just looking at the finished statblock.
  322. Fort is 1 under.
  323. They gave it a bad Reflex save despite Ravens having a Good one.
  324. For some reason they reduced its land speed by half
  325. Gave it +4 Con for some reason in comparison to the normal raven. +1 from HD advancement, sure. +4??
  326. Despite advancing it 6HD (a fairly reasonable number), they didn't give it its extra BAB, feats, or skill ranks. BAB isn't really an issue for a swarm, but the others would be.
  327. Its distraction DC is wrong. With just the HD advancement, it makes sense (10 + half HD(3) + CON(-1) = 12), but the added Con makes it off by 2.
  328.
  329. pg 75, *Lord Thomas Havelyn (Aristocrat 2/Paladin 7)
  330. From my understanding of the timeline of events prior to the AP, this man *should* be middle-aged if not older.
  331. 25PB
  332. Will is 3 under (most likely the +3 Will that aristocrat 2 gives)
  333. Forgot the +2 AC vs smite targets that his Champion armour gives
  334. His tactics are a mess. First, they describe how he pre-buffs himself if he knows he's going into a fight.
  335. "Round 1: bull’s strength (+4 to Strength for 7 minutes)" At CL 4, it will only last four minutes.
  336. "Round 2: bless weapon (...weapon is good-aligned, and bypasses DR of evil creatures for seven minutes)" Same error with spell length; the latter section is just flat-out wrong. His smite lets him ignore all DR, but bless weapon just makes his weapon count as magic and good for the purposes of bypassing DR/magic or DR/good.
  337. Rounds 3 and 4 are divine bond and divine favor respectively, which are correct.
  338. "With these in place, his melee attack is now: masterwork longsword +18/+13 (1d8+8/19-20 [auto-confirm])" This is adding the to-hit enhancement bonus from masterwork and divine bond's +1 together.
  339. "A smiting power attack against an evil foe with all his bonuses in place is: masterwork longsword +19/+14 (1d8+19/19-20 [auto-confirm])" Other than the above mistake of stacking enchantment bonuses, they forgot how Power Attack scales with BAB.
  340. For some reason, despite the fact he can detect evil at will (and the PCs are, at this point, 5th level, so they ping as evil), if he wins initiative he doesn't do anything except take a swift action to speak "Lay down your arms lest you further endanger your lives and your very souls with this villainy." That's flavourful, but his other actions that turn can be to scan them for evil.
  341. FCB is missing
  342. Is over Heroic wealth by 387gp
  343.
  344. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  345. Book 2:
  346.
  347. This is the book where, except for the first NPC where it's relevant, they start to write out the entire BAB spread. i.e. a fighter 16 has BAB +16/+11/+6/+1, instead of just writing +16 and having a modicum of understanding of how BAB works. Oh, unless they're multiclassing and they don't reach +6 with one class, then they just get added together.
  348.
  349.
  350. pg 10, Baron Vandermir's Guards (warrior 2)
  351. 10PB
  352. missing FCB
  353. forgot -4 ACP
  354.
  355. pg 11, Baron Arkov Vandermir (half-elf sorcerer (infernal) 7/aristocrat 3)
  356. Can only fit a 24PB - lvl advancement and racial had to go to CHA, and doesn't have an enhancement bonus
  357. Can fit 20PB if middle-aged, but as-written he is not.
  358. Even still, if he's 'more than a century old' as the book says, he is at least Old: Half-Elves reach that point at 93 years. Yet he looks 'quite young, even boyish'?
  359. 5+ HD LE character in Talingarde with no way to prevent him from being detected
  360. Didn't include resist fire 5 in Defenses section (although it is mentioned eventually)
  361. Forgot immunity to magical sleep
  362. Didn't include DC bonus from arcana on charm person
  363. CMB is 3 over
  364. CMD is 2 under
  365. Skill ranks are a mess
  366. Forgot that Disguise is CHA-based and thus has his circlet apply to it
  367. Forgot that the skill bonuses from Deceitful, Persuasive, and Skill Focus increase at 10 ranks
  368. Bluff is impossible to reverse engineer; best guess is he has an invisible +2 from nowhere (29 - CHA(6) - class skill (3) - head item (3) = 17; if they didn't forget the bonuses from 10 ranks, that's a -10 for 7 ranks total, which means he doesn't qualify for that bonus anymore. The other (more likely) option is that they did forget, so a -5 for 12 ranks total, which isn't possible as a 10HD character)
  369. Assuming the above, he's missing 5 skill ranks (48/53). Even if he did put 12 ranks in Bluff, he's still missing 3.
  370.
  371. pg 16, Jurak the Eldest, Treant
  372. Unchanged from Bestiary 1's Treant.
  373.
  374. pg 17, Kumanda Slays-Nine-Men (boggard barbarian 5)
  375. Monsters with class levels get +4, +4, +2, +2, +0, and –2 distributed among their stats in a way where their class would benefit
  376. Assuming the HD advancement bonuses went into evening the numbers, the modifiers they applied instead were, in order, +2/+2/+2/+0/+0/+2.
  377. Will is 2 under (Forgot the bonus from raging)
  378. Reflex is 1 under
  379. Forgot improved uncanny dodge in defenses (though it is mentioned in SQ)
  380. Applied Vital Strike to basic attack (No. As per the FAQ on the pfsrd, Vital Strike is a special kind of action that can't be combined with something like a charge. However, that FAQ is from November 2012 and this book came out in February of that year, so I guess I can understand)
  381. greatsword attack is 2 under (likely forgot the masterwork and Weapon Focus)
  382. Tongue touch attack is under by 4 (seems like they just added the +5 BAB from barbarian to the base boggard's attack without any consideration for why that number is what it is)
  383. CMB is under by 2 (they just took their attack roll number from above, which has power attack factored in)
  384. CMD is over by 2 (forgot rage affects CMD).
  385. CMD is right for the correct , though!
  386. Has 1 more feat than he should (I think they gave him his extra feats based exclusively on the barbarian levels, ie barb 1, barb 3, barb 5, which were 4HD, 6HD, and 8HD respectively)
  387. Didn't change DC on croak (should be DC 17)
  388. Forgot that, since the barbarian has +10 base move speed, this boggard doesn't take a -4 to jump from having a speed under 30.
  389. Still has 4,290gp of basic wealth left (92%)
  390.
  391. pg 18, Bane-Wog, Boggard Tribesmen
  392. The standard boggard from Bestiary 1, but replacing their morningstar with a spear (including on Weapon Focus)
  393. The first NPC I have nothing to nitpick about!
  394.
  395. pg 18, Zikomo Hears-the-Father (boggard oracle (dark tapestry) 4)
  396. Debatably wrong CR: boggards are likely to be considered Combat-type monsters, meaning caster class levels do not count as Key classes for advancement. The first 2 oracle levels would only be worth 1 CR instead of 2, making him CR 5 instead of CR 6.
  397. Stat line from standard boggard is -1/+1/0/+6/+4/+6; with only 4 more HD than the standard boggard, he only gets 1 floating +1, so this does not follow the rules.
  398. Perception is under by 2 (his WIS)
  399. Initiative is under by 4 (Forgot Improved Initiative)
  400. Fort is under by 2 (his CON)
  401. Will is under by 2 (his WIS)
  402. Tongue attack mod is over by 1
  403. DC not given on terrifying croak (should DC 18)
  404. Doesn't have DCs by spells that have them (not a failure like the rest, but it goes against convention and forces GMs to calculate on-the-fly)
  405. Doesn't have DCs by revelations (again, convention error, not a real one)
  406. Hold Breath rounds are over by 4
  407. 46/40 skill ranks
  408. Still has 2,838gp of basic wealth left (82%)
  409. With correct CR, values are 1,788gp (75%)
  410.
  411. pg 20, Calliaste Shanda, Lillend
  412. Identical to the one in Bestiary 1, save a flavourful but not impactful ability to use alter self at will.
  413. Can use alter self to become a dryad, but since a)this is just for flavour and b)Fey Form didn't come out until 2017, this is still reasonably acceptable.
  414.
  415. pg 20, Consorts of Calliaste (ranger 2 elves w/ Bestiary 3's Fey Creature template)
  416. Is missing 1 language
  417. Forgot elf racial bonus to Perception (they didn't lose it with the template)
  418. Ranger Style isn't explicitly stated (although it seems obvious it's archery)
  419. Still has 525gp of heroic wealth left (67%)
  420.
  421. pg 26, mudman
  422. Identical to the one from Tome of Horrors except a change in tactics.
  423.
  424. pg 34, Artephius, Alchemical Golem
  425. Identical to the one in Bestiary 2.
  426.
  427. pg 40, Verdurous Oozes
  428. Identical to the one in Kingmaker 5.
  429.
  430. pg 41, Halthus the Flayer (expert 5/fighter 2)
  431. 15PB
  432. Profession (torturer) is impossible to reach with his stat line (needs to either put 12 ranks in (forgetting Skill Focus' increase at 10 ranks) or 9 ranks in (remembering Skill Focus' increase but applying it prematurely). Hilariously, I can't figure this out through his FCB because if his favoured class is Expert it works with the former and if it's fighter it works with the latter. Either way, he can only put a max of 7 ranks in, so both fail.)
  433. Still has 5,449gp of heroic wealth left, but isn't a combatant and has to die for the PCs to progress anyway. (91%)
  434.
  435. pg 43, hell hounds
  436. Identical to Bestiary 1.

  438. pg 43, Carnitheria Rex, Nightmare
  439. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  440.
  441. pg 45, Wraith Spawn of the Thrice-Damned
  442. Bestiary 1's wraith, except...
  443. 2 less Int, for some reason
  444. Still has the create spawn ability despite being spawn themselves
  445. lack Diplomacy ranks (from the INT loss I suppose)
  446. KN:Planes is now 1 over (wasn't affected by the INT loss)
  447.
  448. pg 45, Ezra Thrice-Damned, Dread Wraith (wraith w/Advanced and Giant templates)
  449. Followed the general rules of the templates, but ignored the specifics about Dread Wraiths: that being, they deal 2d6 negative energy and drain 1d8 Con.
  450. CMD is 7 under (Didn't add deflection bonus to CMD)
  451. Remembered the size penalty for Fly, but didn't remember it for Stealth
  452.
  453. pg 47, Hexor and Vexor, Greater Ceustodaemons
  454. This is identical to the entry on the PFSRD (sans a Tactics section). Whoever wrote up the conversion didn't do it well.
  455. DEX value given in armour is forgetting +2 DEX from advanced (but they remembered to put it into AC/touch AC values themselves)
  456. Didn't add advanced bonus to concentration on SLAs
  457. Took the attack value from attack block for CMB (which inverts the size bonus)
  458. Didn't change CMD from base creature at all
  459. Forgot the bonus from Persuasive
  460.
  461. As for Fire Mountain, they fail at two parts:
  462. Didn't change knowledge (any) to a relevant skill (dungeoneering probably works for these two in particular)
  463. Death isn't permanent for them because it's not their home plane (not how Pathfinder works)
  464.
  465. pg 49, Huge Lightning Elemental
  466. Identical to Bestiary 2 except Tactics.

  470. Missing FCB

  472. Longsword damage is 2 under (Forgot Weapon Specialization)
  473. Forgot ACP
  474.
  475. pg 53, James O’Toole (monk 6)
  476. 25PB
  477. all saves are under by 1 (likely originally built with a cloak of resistance +1)
  478. Added DEX to flat-footed
  479. Fucked flurry of blows (you don't just add those values to the base to-hit: those replace your BAB! A level 20 chained monk doesn't get a base +33 flurry, you morons!)
  480. CMD is 3 under (Didn't add Monk bonus or WIS)
  481. Missing a feat
  482. Still has 4,479gp of heroic wealth left (96%)(he's literally within the starting wealth of most characters. He could afford an agile amulet!)
  483.
  484. pg 54, Sister Marta Dian (cleric 6 of Mitra the Beneficent Sun)
  485. 3rd level domain spell in 1st level slot and vice versa.
  486. 28/30 skill ranks
  487. Alternatively, forgot to add her +1 INT bonus to her two INT skills
  488. 2,980gp left of heroic wealth (64%)
  489.
  490. pg 54, Bianca DeVallya (half-elf bard 6)
  491. 25PB
  492. Still has ranks in Diplomacy despite Versatile Performance (strings) letting her retrain them immediately
  493. 3,343gp left of heroic wealth (72%)
  494.
  495. pg 54, Yorgun the Smith (dwarf expert 4/rogue 3)
  496. First off, why?
  497. 25PB
  498. Missing FCB
  499. Forgot the racial bonus vs poisons, spells, SLAs
  500. warhammer attack is 2 over (Forgot the -2 penalty from oversized weapons)
  501. Forgot racial bonus to Perception vs stone (important in this area!)
  502. 54/55 ranks
  503. Assuming a flask of fine whiskey is 10gp, still has 3,311gp of heroic wealth (55%)
  504.
  505. pg 56, Bethaniel and Darus Dandra, Moon Dog Sisters
  506. Other than some minor notes about their abilities and the location, otherwise identical to the entry from the Tome of Horrors.

  508. pg 56, Assassin Vines
  509. Identical to the one in Bestiary 1.
  510.
  511. pg 58, Traya DeMarco (sorcerer (elemental:fire) 7)
  512. 25PB
  513. Is not forced by her bloodline to change the element of her spells, but they do so anyway (except her bloodline spells, but the elemental bloodline spells are already fire type!)
  514. Is forgetting a +2 on the DC of her spells (either Spell Focus and Greater or Elemental Focus and Greater. She has all four feats!)
  515. Still has 5,024gp of heroic wealth left (84%)
  516. "She knows both [the barbarian below] and herself have some resistance to fire so she has been known to be reckless with who is included in her fireball’s blast." ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY? My rebuilt version of you did an average of 45 damage, and with a DC 22 you had a 15% chance to save for half! The only reason Fire Mountain could possibly include this in her tactics is because the version of her they built is impotent as a blaster!
  517.
  518. pg 58, Posca the Merchant (dwarf cleric 7 of Definitely Not Abadar)
  519. 25PB
  520. Used WIS instead of CHA to determine channel DC
  521. Concentration bonus is 1 over
  522. Missing the extra spells from his WIS
  523. Technically forgot the domain power from Trade (but it's not useful to NPCs so it's fine)
  524. still has 3,426gp left of heroic wealth (57%)
  525.
  526. pg 59, Tasker Twelve-Knives (half-orc rogue (knife master) 7)
  527. 25PB
  528. Fort is 2 under (forgot CON or class bonus, how embarrassing)
  529. HP math is wrong even before their usual errors.
  530. Exclusively garbage rogue talent picks
  531. Wrong modifier on Sleight of Hands w/ light blades (only adds half rogue level, not full)
  532. Egregiously over heroic wealth (from one item: his +2 dagger), but doesn't have the CR or the funds otherwise to justify having PC wealth. Overall: 2,901gp over heroic wealth (148%), and 14,599gp under PC wealth (38%).
  533. Has 13 knives (SMH literally the worst part of this dang character)
  534.
  535. pg 59, Hassan J’raaq (Ifrit barbarian 7)
  536. 25PB (PB only adds up if he has a base 12 Con: keep that in mind*)
  537. HP is over by 7*
  538. Fort is over by 1*
  539. Didn't get DR 1/- from barbarian 7
  540. Forgot to scale up Reckless Abandon (which would be another -1 AC from rage)
  541. Added 1.5xSTR to a javelin throw (need Two-Handed Thrower for that, which existed when this book came out)
  542. Has one more rage round than he should*
  543. To-hit would be right if Reckless Abandon didn't scale
  544. concentration check bonus on racial SLA is stupid (how do you get +3 from CL+relevant modifier, when the CL is equal to your class level and none of your modifiers are negative?)
  545. CMD is 3 under (Forgot rage+reckless abandon AC penalties apply to CMD)
  546. In base statistics (ie when not raging), they say his Con score is 14.*
  547. *Because everything is built around a 14 Con, i.e. 18 when raging, anything marked with an * makes sense now...but why is his raging Con 16? Because that's the only way the point buy fits. FFS.
  548. Also, according to them his climb ability goes down when raging, not up.
  549. 20/28 skill ranks
  550. Egregiously over heroic wealth (again, from one item: this time a +1 furious falchion). And again, doesn't have the CR or the funds otherwise to justify PC wealth. Overall: 9,025gp spent, which is 3,025 over heroic wealth (150%) and 14,475gp under PC wealth (38%).
  551.
  552. pg 60, One-Eye (dire tiger)
  553. Identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
  554.
  555. pf 61, Father Matthias Harkon, Inquisitor 8 of Mitra The Shining Lord
  556. 25PB
  557. Wrote down the HP and HD of a 7th level character (everything else still assumes 8th level)
  558. Implies inquisitors choose a judgement from a list when levelling (inquisitors have access to all judgements at all times; they can only apply a certain amount of them per use)
  559. Since Bane is also a swift action, them not mentioning it in his tactics is bad.
  560. "He uses his solo tactics to aid his followers and share his teamwork feats. He uses his healing spells to keep them in the fight." Two problems here:
  561. Solo Tactics doesn't share teamwork feats. It's in the god-damn name.
  562. In-combat healing, without some very specific niche things, is garbage and (AFAIK) has been since 3.5e. This is even worse when combined with the fact you have a Cleric in your group!
  563. Forgot Stern Gaze
  564. Forgot Domains/Inquisitions
  565. 19,070gp wealth, which is 58% of PC wealth and 244% of heroic wealth
  566.
  567. pg 62, Brother Armand Vyte (cleric 7 of Mitra The Beneficent Sun)
  568. 25PB
  569. Forgot a 2nd level spell
  570. None of Mitra's three aspects grant access to the Liberation domain
  571. Forgot Liberation domain ability except in SQ (which implies it's active all the time. It's not.)
  572. Reflex is 1 under
  573. Knows 2 languages despite 11 Int. and no Linguistics ranks
  574. still has 5,024gp of heroic wealth (84%)
  575.
  576. pg 62, Thomas the Penitent (rogue 6)
  577. 25PB
  578. If using Weapon Finesse, melee attack roll is 2 under; if not using it, melee attack roll is 2 over.
  579. Skills are a mess, and there are three possibilities:
  580. They thought Stealthy applied to Stealth, Disable Device, and Sleight of Hand and not Escape Artist (72/66)
  581. They originally built him with Deft Hands then forgot to remove the bonuses when they removed the feat (70/66)
  582. They gave him 8 ranks in Disable Device and Sleight of Hand despite not being possible for a 6HD character (74/66)
  583. 3,622gp left of heroic wealth (78%)
  584.
  585. pg 63, Veteran Soldiers of the Inquisition (fighter 6)
  586. 25PB, assuming they forgot a HD advancement bonus to an ability score
  587. Perception is 1 under (-1 Perception, Wis 10. ???????????????????)
  588. Tactics imply Power Attack is chosen on a per-attack basis (no. it's only toggleable on your turn before you start your first attack)
  589. 30/18 skill ranks (!) (Best guess is that they thought fighter was 4+INT)
  590. Treated KN: local as a class skill w/o a trait to do so (or put an illegal 9 ranks into it, bringing the skill ranks up to 33/18)
  591. Forgot ACP (or put a total of 12 more ranks in; at least they'd be legal to do so unlike KN: local, but they'd still be over)
  592. 2,132gp of heroic wealth left (46%)
  593.
  594. pg 64, Hangman Tree (The Daemon Tree)

  596.
  597. pg 65, The Ashen Nightmare
  598. An Animate Dream from Bestiary 2, except Large.
  599. Remembered Large size/reach and AC penalty, but that's it.
  600. Ability scores are unchanged
  601. Fly and Stealth checks are unchanged
  602. Attack roll is unchanged
  603. CMB and CMD are unchanged
  604.
  605. pg 66, Fineas Greenhold (gnome sorcerer (fey) 8)
  606. Can't reproduce a cogent point buy with what I'm given.
  607. Best guess: 25PB, originally built as a human progeny w/ a CHA headband, then headband was removed and he was made a gnome without changing stats. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  608. Going back after analyzing everything else, this is probably what happened. The change likely happened between doing skills and spells, since the spells all seem to assume 18 Cha and the skills assume 20 Cha.
  609. Racial ghost sound SLA's DC is 1 under
  610. Melee is 1 under (Forgot size modifier)
  611. CMB/CMD are both 1 over (Forgot size modifier)
  612. Charm Monster DC is 1 under

  616. 1st level casts/day are 1 under
  617. Didn't declare the gnomish "Obsessive" bonus to anything
  618. "drawing" is not a performance
  619. Unless his finely made brightly coloured clothes are worth 7,365gp, he has that much left of heroic wealth (94%)
  620.
  621. pg 67, Angus Madthorn (dwarf barbarian 8)
  622. 25 PB
  623. Probably should mention witch hunter being +3 (they don't)
  624. 'Base statistics' didn't change throwing axe damage
  625. CMD is 2 under (forgot rage affects CMD)
  626. Forgot any racial modifiers to skills (the dwarf Perception is important here, like I said before)
  627. 31/32 ranks
  628. Has two backpacks? (Likely a typo: I didn't factor it into wealth calculation)

  641. Identical to Bestiary 1
  642.
  643. pg 70, *Elise Zadaria, Leader of the Seventh Knot (witch 8)
  644. Is a bad touch witch. Frozen Caress makes this potent (and her DCs assume she always uses it), but it's still a really bad idea as a d6 HD class. Witches have it worse, too, since if they use their familiar to deliver it and it dies, they lose their spellbook.
  645. CMD is 2 under (Forgot Deflection)
  646. Didn't mention the other benefits the Flight hex gives (at-will feather fall, +4 Swim, 1/day levitate)
  647. All of Thorn's knot members got a trait, but hers isn't mentioned. (It's one that gives a +1 to Bluff and it as a class skill, since that makes her skill ranks make sense)
  648. 2,517gp over PC wealth
  649. 25 PB AND PC wealth but CR 7
  650.
  651. pg 70, *Dostan Alfson (half-elf barbarian 8)
  652. Fort save given is only 1/2 HD + CON (missing the +2 from being a good save)
  653. Attack roll is 1 under (either Weapon Focus or the enhancement bonus)
  654. Subtracted 6 from iterative attack
  655. Forgot 1.5 Power Attack multiplier when using it with two hands
  656. Javelin to hit is 1 over
  657. # of rage rounds/day is 2 under

  659. 38/40 ranks
  660. 20,434gp wealth: 62% of PC wealth, or 262% of heroic wealth
  661. Base statistics are a mess:
  662. wrong AC except flat-footed (implies rage subtracts 2 Dex)
  663. Fort, attack and damage are mostly right with the given scores that (according to them) non-raging Dostan has: Str 14, Con 14. His raging stats are Str 24, Con 22. ?????????????????????????
  664. They add 1.5xSTR on damage on the javelin throw (need Two-Handed Thrower)
  665. CMD is doing the same 'rage subtracts 2 Dex' thing as above
  666. Skill ranks imply 10 ranks in Swim and Climb; contradicts raging stats, and is impossible as an 8-HD character
  667. 25 PB AND ~PC wealth but CR 7
  668.
  669. pg 71, *Tallus “Trak” Rackburn (ranger 8)
  670. 25PB
  671. 65/64 ranks
  672. Put 10 ranks in Heal as an 8HD character
  673. Holy symbol material not mentioned (wealth calculation assumed wood, but even a platinum one wouldn't push it under 25%)
  674. still has 3139gp of heroic wealth (40%)
  675.
  676. pg 71, *Titus “Trik” Rackburn (cleric 8 of Asmodeus)

  678. a TWF cleric...How are you casting your spells, buddy? You still need a hand free for your Somatic components, which all but TWO of your prepared spells (light and tongues) have. Without Quick Draw, you're SOL. Some GMs are lenient with a heavy steel shield, but a sword? No.
  679. He doesn't have proficiency with the shortswords he's wielding!
  680. He has nondetection prepared from his domains, but lacks the material component.
  681. Has a 'During Combat' section in Tactics that's completely empty.
  682. Doesn't meet the prereqs for Weapon Focus (due to, you know, lacking shortsword proficiency)
  683.
  684. pg 74, Sir Valin Darian, Heir of the Victor (cavalier 9)
  685. This guy's not going to have a good time, what with being a mounted character in a dungeon.
  686. Missing a Wis score (judging by Will save and assuming 25 PB, it's a 14)
  687. 25PB (probably)
  688. Charging lance attack is 2 over
  689. Charging lance damage also only multiplies his damage die rather than the full result like it should
  690. Doesn't list tactician uses or how many rounds it lasts (2/day, 7 rnds)
  691. Bonus from Order of the Dragon to Survival is 1 over
  692. Has skill ranks as if level 10 (50/45, each skill has 10 ranks)
  693. Also forgot that Animal Affinity's bonus goes up at 10 ranks
  694. Forgot either Expert Trainer's or Link's +4 to Handle Animal with his mount
  695. still has 5105gp left of heroic wealth (51%); even if the masterwork cost for his horse's barding is multiplied as well (another 450gp spent), he's still well outside the wealth for his level.
  696.
  697. pg 74, Marquesa, Sir Valin’s Heavy Horse
  698. I already know they fucked this up badly somewhere since it has the docile quality (which bonded creatures don't get in the first place
  699. Instead of going to the druid animal companion page and looking up "horse", they copied the Heavy Horse directly from the pfsrd, then applied the animal companion modifiers to it. This has a fuckload of issues, so I'll just analyse the mistakes they made in that conversion.
  700. Forgot to give it the bonus Light Armour Proficiency from being a cavalier mount.
  701. Forgot a total of +6 to Perception. Since there are three things that give +3, it forgot two of three of them: Class Skill bonus, WIS bonus, or Skill Focus.
  702. The horse already knows six tricks from being combat trained. The chosen bonus tricks that it gets from being a companion animal? They *completely overlap the combat training*.
  703. Attack bonuses are 1 over (forgot size modifier)
  704. CMD is 1 under (...did they subtract the Size bonus??)
  705.
  706. pg 74, *Knights of The Alerion (fighter 5)
  707. Same stat block as Sir Balin from Book 1, errors and all.
  708. Only changes are wealth and tactics. Specifically, they don't have a cloak of resistance +1, and it's actually factored into their saves.
  709. ...But they also have lances, but no attack for it. Can't win them all.
  710. 1613gp left of heroic wealth (47%)
  711.
  712. pg 74, Knight’s Horses (war trained horses)
  713. As war-trained horses, their hooves are primary weapons. This change was not made. However, they still removed the docile special quality...
  714. Otherwise identical to the horse entry from Bestiary 1.
  715.
  716. pg 75, Wytch Lights (Will-o’-wisp)
  717. Identical to the one in Bestiary 1.
  718.
  719. pg 76, Trithraxus, Gorgimera (Green Dragon Head)
  720. Largely identical to the Gorgimera entry from the Tome of Horrors.
  721. They pre-determined the dragon's head colour (as noted) and condensed the details of what it does.
  722. No errors here. I'm impressed. (I should not be impressed by something as fucking pedestrian as this, Fire Mountain.)
  723.
  724. pg 77, Grumblejack, Daemonic Cohort of the Ninth Knot (half-fiend ogre fighter 1)
  725. Still has that higher Int and Cha than a typical ogre, but now that his fiendish blood has come out it seems a bit egregious.
  726. Completely forgot the array of stat modifiers that monsters get with class levels
  727. Looking over the melee section, it seems they thought Str 25 = STR +6 (it's +7).
  728. Damage w/greatsword power attack is one under
  729. Damage w/claws PA is 1 under if they make the error of multiplying PA*1.5.
  730. Damage w/bite is 1 under
  731. For all of these, the attack values are right because they also forgot the Size penalty.
  732. Javelin attack is 1 over; damage is 1 under.
  733. They forget that you can still bite when attacking with a manufactured weapon (it's just considered a secondary natural attack)
  734. They imply with the natural attacks that Power Attack is chosen on a per-weapon basis
  735. Didn't give the concentration check modifier or DCs for half-fiend SLAs (probably because they didn't know what ability score to use.)
  736. CMB is 2 under (I think they just took the greatsword attack roll. No bueno: that has an inverted size modifier for CMB, includes Power Attack, and also includes Weapon Focus, which only applies if he's using the weapon for the maneuver)
  737. CMD is 1 under (Why is it 9+CMB, Fire Mountain? He doesn't have a DEX penalty. Did you subtract the fucking size modifier again??)
  738. Skills are a mess:
  739. Likely forgot to change his 4 racial HD to have 6+INT/HD as opposed to the standard humanoid 2+INT/HD.
  740. Either has spent 21/32 (if they remembered ACP) or 15/32 (if they forgot)
  741. If they remembered ACP, he has more ranks in Climb than is possible for a 5HD character
  742. Either way, he also has more ranks in Intimidate than possible.
  743. Under wealth (just a large mwk greatsword and large full plate), but as a companion you'd reasonably expect the PCs to kit him.
  744.
  745. pg 79, Brastius Star-Feather, Avoral
  746. Identical to Bestiary 2.
  747.
  748. pg 79, Giant Eagle.
  749. Identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
  750.
  751. pg 80, Greater Mud Elemental
  752. Identical to Bestiary 2's entry.
  753.
  754. pg 81, Hound of Tindalos
  755. Identical to Bestiary 2's entry.
  756.
  757. pg 82, Argossarian, Young Adult Silver Dragon
  758. Identical to the entry on the pfsrd.
  759.
  760. pg 85, **Sir Richard Thomasson Havelyn (paladin 10)
  761. PB is wack.
  762. Without buffs, he can, at minimum, fit 26 PB.
  763. With his Bull Strength calculated in, can fit 25 PB.
  764. With his Bull Strength AND the wizard's Bear's Endurance, he can fit a 20 PB. As a recurring antagonist, this should not be the case.
  765. Reflex is 2 over
  766. Will is 1 over
  767. Fully buffed longsword PA attack bonus is 1 over
  768. Concentration checks are using WIS instead of CHA
  769. Has a 3rd-level spell slot open (his only 3rd-level slot, so they likely just forgot it existed)
  770. Has Bless Weapon and Keen, which disables Bless Weapon's only real benefit on an already magic weapon
  771. Missing a feat
  772. Has a +10 Perception in the senses section, but no ranks in Perception.
  773. Over heroic wealth by 1,385gp (111%). Really should just have PC wealth.
  774.
  775. pg 85, *Brother Carthus Donnagin (cleric 10 of Mitra the Shining Lord)
  776. 25 PB
  777. Channel DC is 2 over (Glory domain's bonus only applies to undead)
  778. Implies Sun's Blessing applies to more than just undead (and as a character with Alignment Channel, this is really important to note)
  779. Also implies Sun's Blessing applies to healing done
  780. Doesn't give Divine Presence or Nimbus of Light rounds/day (and implies they're always active, since they're in the SQ section)
  781. Doesn't give any DCs for spells
  782. 5661gp left of heroic wealth (44%)
  783.
  784. pg 86, Erik 'the Falconer' Varning (wizard 10)
  785. 25PB
  786. Forgot he has a school slot he can put evocation spells into (or otherwise has 1 spell slot open/spell level except 0th)
  787. Missing a feat (either forgot Scribe Scroll or replaced it with Spell Focus)
  788. Not getting class skill bonus on any of his skills
  789. Assuming a fine robe is 10gp, still has 6,784gp left of heroic wealth (53%)
  790.
  791. pg 86, Meinhard Mott aka “Mad Meinhard” (barbarian 5/fighter 5)
  792. Doesn't give non-raging stats (convention error, not a real one)
  793. his Intimidate skill includes a "+2 when raging" for his STR bonus increasing, despite the stat block already assuming he's raging.
  794. CMD is over by 2 (forgot rage penalty)
  795.
  796. pg 88, Vetra-Kali Eats-the-Eyes, Daemon Prince of Pestilence (CR 15)
  797. A Leukodaemon from Bestiary 1, but 'advanced', given 6 arms, and fucked up.
  798. Their 'advancement' was giving him the Advanced template, 4 extra HD, and some increases in some defenses. Was it worth a +6 CR increase? No. Especially since they fucked it up. Hey Fire Mountain, there's a lot of shit based on HD that you didn't change. For example...
  799. SR is wrong (they just gave it a +4 like the Advanced template...but that's not how SR works!)
  800. Defense increases subvert what the daemon subtype gives: looking at the other daemons, only the Horsemen get to do that.
  801. Gave flat +4s to all saves (should really be +3/+4/+4, since the base creature had a bad Fort save)
  802. Attack roll is wrong for everything except the first dagger. It only went up by 2 despite +2 STR and +4 BAB...but without Multiweapon Fighting, he would be taking a -4 on his main hand and -8 on his offhands. He has a feat slot open to take MWF, though. (With it, his attacks should be +23 with his daggers and +19 with his natural attacks, and all his attacks besides the first dagger should be dealing 0.5*STR.)
  803. Forgot size bonus to CMB.
  804. Didn't give feats for HD 11 and HD 13.
  805. Forgot that HD++ increases the DCs of special abilities like Breath of Flies
  806. Gave a flat +6 to all skills. This is correct in terms of increasing all stats by 4 and equally distributing the ranks from the additional HD, and they added two skills to accommodate for the INT bonus. However, these two skills aren't class skills, yet are treated as such.
  807. The only saving grace is that the PCs aren't expected to fight this thing.
  808.
  809. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  810. BOOK 3:
  811.
  812. pg 15, Raiju the Exile, Ogre Mage
  813. Mechanically identical to the Ogre Mage entry in Bestiary 1
  814. The fluff around him is sometimes weird, though.
  815. "He will work for either a half share of any treasure accumulated or a promise of 250 gp a month" Yes, those are definitely equal options that the party will definitely have to consider.
  816. "Now he calls the Fire-Axe as Sakkarot-sama, a title of respect." Fucking weeb.
  817.
  818. pg 17, Dessiter of the Phistophilus
  819. Identical to Bestiary 3's Contract Devil.
  820.
  821. pg 18, Nessian Warhounds
  822. Identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
  823.
  824. pg 20, Prince Gaius Vestromo, Vampire Prince of Ghastenhall (vampire aristocrat 1/sorcerer 10)
  825. With a 10 base Con, I can get him to fit a 25 PB. With a 7 Con, I can make him fit a 20 PB.
  826. I don't know how he has his flat HP modifier. 11*6 CHA = 66, Sorcerer FCB = +10, Toughness = +11. Total of 87, 15 under the given number.
  827. Is he including False Life's temporary HP? That's not right.
  828. Why does he cast extended false life at the start of his evening? It lasts 1 hr/lvl...
  829. Egregious since he also casts a non-extended mage armour...another 1hr/lvl spell.
  830. CMD is 3 under (they remembered Dodge! And forgot deflection.)
  831. 79/68 ranks, and by RAW they put more ranks into Diplomacy than is possible. However, because it's 3 over the max, I suspect they simply didn't realize that Diplomacy wasn't a class skill (making their overage 76/68)
  832. Wealth for him is a bit hard to place.
  833. He fits near perfectly within heroic wealth...of a level 13 NPC. This number isn't impossible to comprehend how they got it: 1 aristocrat + 10 sorcerer + 2 CR adjustment for Vampire.
  834. I'm pretty sure it's either A)treat him as an NPC, so you use heroic wealth of his level; or B)treat him as a monster w/class levels, using the basic wealth of an NPC of his CR.
  835. Either way, Heroic 13 is much higher than either of those.
  836.
  837. pg 21, Vampire Spawn of Prince Gaius
  838. These are Wights with most of the Vampire Spawn template.
  839. I say "most", because it didn't get the +8 Acrobatics and Cha bonus from the template.
  840. Also, the template can't be applied to already undead creatures, but whatever.
  841. Also, with how much overlaps with Wights, I don't think the template is still worth +1 CR.
  842.
  843. pg 23, Izevel the Accursed (half-fiend advanced medusa)
  844. Vaguely "advanced." To avoid confusion, typically you say HD advanced in this case, lest you make someone think you royally fucked up applying a simple template. This 'advancement' is 2 extra HD. these are worth +2 CR in Fire Mountain's eyes. Hey, uhh...the Monster Advancement rules are in Bestiary 1, the same book as the medusa...
  845. The approximate gains from 7->9 CR should be +30 HP, +3 AC, 2-4 more to-hit, and 8-10 more damage.
  846. For her, I would say that adding 4 HD would push her there, but that puts her into the next CR bracket for Half-Fiend, so instead you add 2 HD (~+1 CR) and the Advanced template (+1 CR) then Half-Fiend (+2 CR, total 11 CR). Boom, done.
  847. Don't mention the claws or bite from Half-Fiend (her base Medusa bite is probably a better use of her head, but if she's wielding her dagger the claw is relevant)
  848. Melee attack rolls are wrong
  849. Dagger is one under (10 BAB + 4 DEX = 13???)
  850. Snake bite is two under (using wrong dagger to-hit AND subtracting 6 from being a secondary attack)
  851. No DCs on Half-Fiend SLAs
  852. Skill ranks are correct...if they:
  853. Treat two of three of KN: history, KN: religion, or Sense Motive as class skills
  854. Put an illegal 13 ranks into the one that isn't a class skill
  855. Alternatively, they treated all three as class skills and removed Bluff as a class skill.
  856. Didn't increase the DCs of her poison or petrifying gaze from the HD increase
  857. Under wealth, but as a PC cohort it's expected they outfit her.
  858.
  859. pg 25, Zashur Arzen, duergan thane (duergar fighter (weapon master) 9)
  860. Can only fit 25PB if the modifiers from Enlarge Person are included in the given statistics; otherwise, lowest is a 27PB.
  861. Weapon Damage is 1 under (probably forgot magic bonus to damage)
  862. Missing 2 skill ranks OR forgot mwk armour has 1 less ACP and forgot the CHA penalty to Intimidate
  863. Still has 5,040gp of heroic wealth (50%)
  864. Is missing his racial SLAs, and hasn't replaced them with an alternate racial trait.
  865. In retrospect, likely an erroneous copy of his dwarven equivalent on pg 41; for example, didn't realize that Duergar get -4 CHA and dwarves only get -2. This also explains the missing SLAs, being under wealth, the ACP being wrong, etc. They even just flat replaced Swim with Intimidate.
  866. CR = HD, but lacking any reason to be so
  867.
  868. pg 25, Duergar Warriors of Zhaanzen-Kryr (duergar warrior 1)
  869. This is the duergar monster entry from Bestiary 1.
  870. Includes a note about their stealth bonus when invisible
  871. Lost 2d6 wealth for some reason (I guess because they're allies it doesn't matter)
  872. Other than the above, identical to the Bestiary entry.
  873.
  874. pg 29, Clay Golems
  875. Mostly identical to the Clay Golem entry in Bestiary 1.
  876. Also has no chance to berserk as long as they're in the service of Mitra. With 8 allied NPCs in the same room, this is a substantial power boost.
  877.
  878. pg 32, Holy Warrior (warrior 5)
  879. why
  880. Identical to Captain Edward Sambryl from Book 1, errors and all.
  881. Except they replace his loose 22gp with a tabard of the holy order.
  882. I say again: WHY?? THIS STAT BLOCK IS FROM THE FIRST BOOK, AND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A THREAT THE FIRST TIME. THESE GUYS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A THREAT NOW, SEVEN LEVELS LATER????
  883.
  884. pg 32, **Captain Arthis Fidelis, Watchtower Captain of Saintsbridge (warrior 12)
  885. WHY DOES A WARRIOR 12 HAVE TWO TRAITS
  886. AT THAT POINT JUST GIVE HIM CLASS LEVELS YOU FUCKING IDIOTS
  887. with 12 BAB, his PA penalty is only -4, not -5. At least they got the damage right if he could reach -5.
  888. Assuming his tabbard of office is worth 10gp, still has 12,388gp left of basic wealth (76%)
  889.
  890. pg 33, Soldiers of the Watch (warrior 2)
  891. flat hp modifier is 2 under (Con 14, but only +2?)
  892. The PCs are expected to slay all fifty of these guys. They also surrender if reduced to half HP (with what should be 15 total, they might not survive a single attack a 10th level PC throws out)
  893. This wasn't fun.
  894. This was tedious.
  895. They aren't even worth experience: "Although you should never bother awarding XP for challenges that have a CR of 10 or more lower than the APL..." Warriors 2s are CR 1/2, which is 10 CR below the party's level.
  896.
  897. pg 34, half-celestial lammasu
  898. Wing damage is 1 over
  899. Doesn't give DCs of relevant half-celestial SLAs
  900. 99/90 skill ranks
  901.
  902. pg 39, Sir Dallidan the Bold, the point of the charge (fighter (roughrider) 9)
  903. 25 PB
  904. Assuming his tabbard is 10gp, 7,776gp over heroic wealth (177%) and 28,174gp under PC wealth (39%)
  905. Most of that wealth is his +2 heavy steel shield of arrow deflection.
  906. CR = HD with little reason to be.
  907.
  908. pg 39, Charging Knights (fighter (dragoon) 5)
  909. 15 PB
  910. 1,409gp left of heroic wealth (41%)
  911.
  912. pg 39, Knight’s Destiers[sic]
  913. Should not have combined Sir Dallidan's horse and his companions' horses. He gives his horse extra bonuses that the dragoons don't.
  914. Also, the fact these horses aren't bonded animals means they're a massive limiter on the combat effectiveness of these troops.
  915. $Correctly removed docile trait, and correct value for the barding
  916. Otherwise identical to the heavy horse entry from the pfsrd.
  917.
  918. pg 40, Sir Giles of Tell, the finest archer in Valtaerna (fighter (archer) 8)
  919. 25 PB
  920. Wealth is stupid. Without his oathbow, he only has 77gp worth of wealth.
  921. $CR = HD, and technically within 75% of PC wealth
  922.
  923. pg 40, Elite Archers (fighter (archer) 4)
  924. 15 PB
  925. Assuming FCB is in skill ranks, 13/16 ranks
  926. still has 2,221gp of heroic wealth left
  927.
  928. pg 41, Dwarven Priestess, Bride of Father Mountain (dwarf cleric 8 of Definitely Not Torag)
  929. 15 PB
  930. Forgot racial bonuses to saves
  931. Will is 2 over
  932. Didn't get acid resist 10 from Earth domain
  933. Didn't mention Touch of Good at all
  934. Typoed caster level for domain SLAs and cleric spells as CL 9th (but everything is right for the correct CL 8)
  935. 22/16 skill ranks
  936. 6,456gp of heroic wealth left (83%)
  937.
  938. pg 41, Durhan One-Stroke, The Dwarven Thane (dwarf fighter (weapon master) 9)
  939. Largely identical to the duergan thane. It seems likely they built this guy first and then made a duergar copy, since most of the errors in the duergar entry don't exist here. There are still some, though.
  940. 25 PB
  941. Damage on greataxe is 1 under
  942. CR = HD with no reason to
  943.
  944. pg 41, Dwarven Nobles (dwarf fighter (two-weapon warrior) 6)
  945. 15 PB
  946. 4,127gp left of heroic wealth (89%)
  947. While mostly legal, a really good example of why not wielding two of the same weapon sucks in base PF
  948.
  949. pg 42, Brother Nicodemus of the Serene Order (monk 10)
  950. Feats don't match tactics: Has Imp. Cleaving Finish line (already garbage choices on a chained Monk), but he "tries to use his superior mobility to attack enemy spellcasters."
  951. CMD is 3 under (Definitely forgot Dodge; then one of DEX, WIS, or flat Monk)
  952. Assuming his robe is worth 10gp, he has only spent 10.1gp. You know, less than 1% of basic wealth. That's FINE. He definitely doesn't have the Ki to have taken Vow of Poverty, either.
  953.
  954. pg 42, Acolytes of the Serene Order (monk 4)
  955. 15 PB
  956. Didn't give DC for Stunning Fist
  957. Missing 1 language.
  958. Assuming robes are worth 10gp, has only spent 47gp. More than their teacher, but still only 2% of heroic wealth.
  959.
  960. pg 43, Contegar and Scutus, Shield Archons
  961. *Mostly* identical to the one in Bestiary 2, but they tried to falsely correct some errors they thought they found
  962. Gave flat +7 to Fly and Stealth: I think they assumed that the tower shield wasn't originally masterwork (+1), and then didn't realize that shield archons wear full plate (+6)
  963. I guess they didn't see Shield Focus? Or didn't give the Tower Shield its +1 enchantment? They reduced the shield bonus by 1 erroneously.
  964.
  965. pg 44, Blessed Knights (aasimar paladin 6)
  966. 15 PB
  967. Nitpick: Why mention their speed out of armour? They're wearing full plate, it's not like they could strip it off.
  968. No mention of Divine Bond. Bonding with a griffon wasn't allowed until Inner Sea Combat in 2014, and if it's a bonded mount it has different stats than a base griffon.
  969. Attacks are wrong
  970. Buffed charge: 2 under. Either forgot the bonus to hit from smite (and added enhancement to hit twice from mwk + Magic Weapon) or forgot charge bonus. Considering it's explicitly labelled as a charge + smite, I don't know.
  971. Buffed charge: Only doubled flat damage bonus instead of tripled (they have Spirited Charge)
  972. Unbuffed lance: Included sun metal +1d4 and an erroneous additional +2 flat damage
  973. In tactics, give wrong duration for spells (treated CL = HD, which isn't true for Paladins)
  974. Forgot to apply ACP to Ride
  975. Didn't mention # of dice for Lay on Hands
  976.
  977. pg 44, Celestial Griffons
  978. Not kosher for a bonded mount
  979. Is largely identical to a griffon (Bestiary 1) with the celestial template properly applied to it.
  980. However, they gave it a random +2 Cha. This is likely to (in their eyes) prevent its smite from granting a penalty to hit.
  981. But this is already covered in the rules in the difference between a 'bonus' and a 'modifier'. An 8 Cha creature smiting is going to get a +0 to hit since it doesn't have a 'bonus' to Charisma. Admittedly, this is a pretty obscure rule that doesn't come up often because, in most cases, there is additional language to completely clarify. It is sometimes broken by Paizo themselves (see: Agile Maneuvers description of CMB)
  982. Has an empty Tactics section
  983.
  984. pg 45, Holy Warriors
  985. identical to the ones twelve pages ago except with different tactics. Why put a full stat block here?
  986.
  987. pg 45, The Priests of Mitra (cleric 9 of Mitra The Beneficent Sun)
  988. 15 PB
  989. Flat HP bonus is over by 3 (possible w/FCB, but see below)
  990. Shield bonus is under by 1( Forgot Shield Focus)
  991. Didn't include spell DCs
  992. With all FCB into skill ranks, they add up. If FCB is split 3HP/6 skill ranks, it adds up if they thought Perception was a class skill for Clerics.
  993. Forgot the healer's kit bonus to Heal
  994. Took Vital Strike...as a Cleric. Wielding a morningstar.
  995. Still has 6,847gp left of heroic wealth (68%)
  996.
  997. pg 51, “Lord Roderick of Farholde”, Robert the Rapier (rogue 11)
  998. This guy is the most competently build in the entire book, in terms of character choices. It's still not great, and he's hamstrung by his point buy and class choice.
  999. 15 PB
1000. Should mention slippery mind in defensive abilities (nitpick)
1001. Didn't change CMB to DEX-based from Agile Maneuvers
1002. Skill ranks add up if Disable Device was typoed (written +30, meant +20)
  1003.
1004. pg 51, Sir Roland, Unhorsed Knight (fighter (dragoon) 5)
1005. One of the charging knights from pg 39, unhorsed.
1006. Whatever conversion had to be done was done properly, so see the original for the errors still present.
  1007.
  1008. pg 53, The-Flame-That-Sings , a peri
1009. Pretty much identical to the entry in Bestiary 3.
1010. Didn't abide by the expected treasure value, though.
  1011.
  1012. pg 56, Suchandra, The-Fire-That-Never-Dies, a phoenix
1013. Pretty much identical to the entry in Bestiary 1
1014. Did not change 'Knowledge (nature plus any one other)'. (This one would probably have Religion).
1015. Has narrative issues (covered in main rant)
  1016.
  1017. pg 59 Legion Archons
1018. Largely identical to the entry in Bestiary 3.
1019. $Changes the Second Skin text to say that 'these' archons, rather than 'most' archons, and that 'they' wear full plate.
  1020.
1021. pg 60, Lea the Huntress, Guardian of the Sacred Gardens (leonal)
1022. Mostly identical to the entry in Bestiary 2
1023. Didn't change Knowledge (any). Would probably have Religion.
1024. Is just banished if killed (not how Pathfinder works; covered further in main rant)
  1025.
1026. pg 61, Blink Dog of the Labyrinth, Get of Sirius
1027. Same issue as Izevel with the nebulous 'advanced'. Once again, it's not an advanced template: They add 2 HD, which is, again, +1 CR/HD to them.
1028. HD advancement from 3 to 5 HD properly gave a floating +1, which they put in Dex...and then they gained a random +2 Int as well.
1029. They forgot the feat from 5 HD.
1030. Forgot to increase good saves (Fort and Ref) with HD increase.
  1031.
1032. pg 61, Sirius the Hound, Hunter of the Labyrinth (the above advanced blink dog but with sorcerer 8 as well)
1033. Is now large. Technically within the rules, but because of sorcerer levels?? I personally would've ignored the rule (which is an option)
1034. I have no idea how they ended up with his ability scores.
1035. From Medium to Large gives +8 Str, +4 Con, and -2 Dex, putting him at 20/14/18 for Str/Dex/Con respectively.
1036. There's only one -2 in the modifiers for a monster with class levels, and even then that puts him at 18 Str, 4 over what he actually has.
1037. The alternative is that they were morons and used Enlarge Person's stat bonuses instead, which are just +2 Str, -2 Dex...but then they need to put the one +0 into two stats.
1038. His Cha score is impossible for him to reach without an item, which he doesn't have. It would be possible if he retrained his 4HD Dex increase to a Cha one, but then he'd have an odd Dex score instead of the even one he has now. He also wouldn't be able to put an increase into Wis, which he did.
1039. The only way I think they could accomplish this is if they moved the numbers around after the fact: suddenly, the fact that he becomes Large means he's extra charismatic!
1040. Missing a feat beyond the one missing from the base creature (it's a bloodline feat, specifically)
1041. CMD is under by 1 (Forgot Dodge)
1042. Thought grease was an evocation or enchantment spell (giving it the bonus to DC from Spell Focus)
  1043. 47/52 ranks
  1044. missing FCB
  1045.
1046. pg 62, Kirin of the Heavenly Herd
1047. Identical to Bestiary 3's entry.
  1048.
1049. pg 63, The Master of Serenity, head of the Serene Order (monk 14)
  1050. 25 PB
1051. "...with high jump he likely can attack even flying spellcasters..." Not fuckin' likely. Even spending a ki point and getting a natural 20, he jumps a fantastic 18 feet. A smart caster is probably going to be 20ft up (a DC 80 Acrobatics check), so by RAW he fails and falls prone. Even if the caster is within range, he can make a single attack. Sure, it could be a Stunning Fist, but that means he just spent 2 resources to deal 2d6+2 and *maybe* stun them. Even then, his Stunning Fist DC is only 19. (Thankfully, this entire problem is fixed by Unchained Monk's Flying Kick)
1052. I think they didn't notice that monks don't need to meet the prereqs for their bonus feats (otherwise why would they take Spring Attack over fucking MEDUSA'S WRATH)
1053. Forgot that Chained Monks use their level as their BAB for CMB (Despite this, the CMD is correct. They even remembered Dodge!)
1054. Spent all his money on a +3 natural armour amulet. That alone could instead buy a +2 Wis headband, a +2 Dex, and an Agile Amulet of Mighty Fists with 6,000gp to spare, sacrificing 1 armour AC for 1 always-applying AC, 1 touch AC, and doubling his flat bonuses on damage. This is before the fact he still has 16,800gp (48%) left!
  1055.
1056. pg 63, Sambethe, the Oracle of Mitra (aasimar oracle 14)
  1057. 25 PB
1058. Assuming the cheapest holy symbol (since its type isn't given), still has 33,227gp left of heroic wealth (95%)
  1059.
  1060.
1061. pg 64, Three Swords of Flame (Movanic Devas)
1062. Mostly identical to Bestiary 2's entry.
1063. This entry is weird because there is an error on Paizo's part: There's a discrepancy between the Movanic's Perception entry in their Senses and in their Skills.
1064. The Archives leaves this error as-written.
1065. The PFSRD entry assumes the Skills section is correct, and changes the Senses section accordingly.
1066. The one in this book assumes the Senses section is correct, and changes the Skills. They also subtract the difference to Sense Motive.
1067. Even with this all said and done, NONE of these values make sense unless the angel or good subtypes have a hidden Perception modifier. 12 ranks + 3 class skill + 3 WIS + 4 racial = 22. Its skill ranks add up with 12 ranks, but it has an additional +4 Perception and Sense Motive. Best guess is it was originally built with Alertness, but removed before print.
  1068.
1069. pg 65, Anteus the Storm Giant
1070. Identical to the entry in Bestiary 1.
1071. Didn't change Craft (any one).
  1072.
  1073. pg 65, Rocs
  1074. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  1075.
1076. pg 68, Ghost Martyr Paladins (ghost paladin 7)
1077. Either 15 or 25 PB (both assume a base Con of 10)
1078. If they forgot the Ghost template's +4 Cha, then it's 25 PB.
1079. Didn't change Fort save to CHA-based from undead
1080. Implies smite AC stacks with ghost AC (both being deflection bonuses, they don't)
1081. Gives it a Str score for the purposes of wielding its ghost touch sword (doesn't work that way)
1082. Because of the above, applies STR to CMB instead of DEX
1083. CMD is under by 4 (Forgot Deflection to CMD)
  1084. Missing ranks from Skilled
  1085. Missing FCB
1086. Didn't give another ability from ghost template (I would've chosen Corrupting Gaze with the caveat that it only affects non-good creatures)
  1087.
1088. pg 69, Three Priests of Mitra (cleric 9 of Mitra The Beneficent Sun)
1089. Identical to the ones on pg 45, with two exceptions:
1090. They prepared create food and water instead of daylight
1091. Their Morale is worded differently (but both mean "fight to the death".)
  1092.
  1093. pg 71, She-Forever-Silent, a Chalkydri Angel
1094. Mostly identical to the entry from the Tome of Horrors.
  1095. Removed her 1/day summon
1096. The "During Combat" section of her Tactics is empty.
  1097.
1098. pg 73, Earnan MacCathlain, Lord-Abbot of the Order of St. Macarius (cleric 15 of Mitra The Shining Lord)
  1099. 25 PB
1100. Has a "high perception" of +20. As a WIS-based character, +20 is on the low end at level 15 (but, then again, 20 WIS at level 15 is a travesty.)
1101. Doesn't mention Glory domain's bonus to channel DC vs undead
1102. Seems to be built based on 18 Wis rather than the 20 he has at the end; domain abilities, concentration modifier, spell DCs, etc.
1103. Despite this, he still has the 5th and 1st bonus slots from +5 WIS prepared.
1104. Skill ranks also only make sense with 20 Wis.
1105. INT-based skills didn't add the +1 from his headband (but he still has the skill ranks from it, hmm...)
1106. Tactics show they didn't actually read what greater spell immunity does. (He doesn't know his opponents, so he's *guessing* 3 spells. By my count (and I made some logical but not guaranteed assumptions) there were 1,548 spells published by Paizo when this book came out. Even if only a quarter were aggressive spells, I would still say those are not good odds.
1107. Still has 29,464gp remaining of heroic wealth (65%)
  1108.
1109. pg 74, The Angels in Iron (Iron Golems)
  1110. Identical to Bestiary 1.
1111. Good encounter choice!...Except you built in a way to cheese it.
  1112.
1113. pg 75, Skaerabus and Skraeth, bound stygian bone devils
1114. Wrong CR given (gave the CR of the both of them together)
1115. Mostly identical to the entry in Bestiary 1
1116. Caveat about them not using their Summon while bound in service
  1117.
1118. pg 77, The Emissary in White, Taranea of the Ghaele
  1119. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  1120.
1121. pg 79, Ara Mathra, He-Who-Stands-in-Light ('advanced' monadic deva, Bestiary 2)
1122. Same nebulous 'advanced' as before. +4 HD, +4 CR. Again, not how it works. As usual, I'll analyze as if it was correct.
1123. From 14 to 18 CR, AC should increase by 4. Since Dex wasn't increased and Dodge wasn't taken, natural armour should have been increased by 4. It did, but only by 1.
1124. Increased all saves by 2 (Correct for its good saves, Fort and Ref; Will should have only gone up by 1)
1125. Increased SR by 2 (Unless otherwise stated, SR is directly related to CR. If this was a +4 CR increase, SR should also increase by 4.)
1126. Subtracted 6 instead of 5 from last iterative attack w/morningstar
1127. Damage is wrong (just increased it by 1 instead of doing the math properly: +5 STR to +6 STR is in one of those mathematical zones where it's +2 damage when two-handing a weapon.)
1128. Forgot to increase Swim by 1 from STR increase
  1129.
  1130. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  1131. BOOK 4:
  1132.
1133. pg 16, *Captain Tom Durning (fighter 6)
1134. Mostly identical to Captain Franz Mott (Book 1, pg 62), with the same errors.
  1135. LG instead of LN
1136. Replaced +1 halberd with a masterwork one.
  1137. Replaced a key with a week's rations
1138. Replaced Sense Motive trait with equivalent Perception one
1139. Now that the changes are noted, I can ask...ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS???
1140. Why are these guys a combat encounter? The PCs are level 13, this guy isn't even remotely a threat! Why bother?!
  1141.
1142. pg 16, Veteran Soldiers of Daveryn (warrior 5)
1143. Hey, remember that rule about not caring about creatures whose CR is APL-10? Well, the party is level 13 now, and these are CR 3.
1144. Once again, mostly identical to the Holy Warriors from last book or Captain Sambryl from Book 1, errors and all.
1145. Now they have a heavy crossbow with no bolts (crossbow is also not mentioned in Gear)
1146. Replaced the 22gp/Holy tabard with a tabard of their city and a week's rations
  1147.
  1148. pg 17, Invisible Stalkers
1149. Mostly identical to the entry in Bestiary 1
1150. Fort is over by 2.
1151. My best guess is they saw the 22 Con and 19 Dex and thought "wElL thAT mAkEs nO SenSe dA CoN sCoRE is 2 mODs higHEr!" without seeing that they have Lightning Reflexes.
  1152.
1153. pg 17, Polydorus the Seer (half-elf wizard (diviner) 10)
  1154. 15 PB
  1155. Will is 1 over
1156. 5th level school slot is filled with non-Divination spell (2 evocation, 1 conjuration prepared)
1157. Has 1 more feat than he's supposed to
1158. KN: Planes bonus not given (I assumed it's the same as the others)
1159. Assuming the given spellbook value is correct, still has 8,395gp left of heroic wealth (66%)
1160. Spellbook implies he was originally built to have conjuration instead of enchantment as a forbidden school
  1161.
1162. pg 20, Baroness Vanya of Veryn (middle-aged* aristocrat 12)
1163. Can fit 5 PB, or 10 PB if they forgot middle-aged benefits (she has a method of ignoring the middle-aged penalties)
1164. Has no way to hide alignment (detects as moderately evil)
1165. Missing 1 language (from Linguistics rank)
1166. Is well within heroic wealth (3% left), but she has only NPC levels so she should have basic wealth
  1167.
1168. pg 20, The Baroness’ Men (warrior 5)
1169. They really built only one warrior 5, huh? Veteran Soldiers of Daveryn, Captain Sambryl, Holy Warriors, and now these guys. (Looking ahead, it gets worse.)
1170. Mostly similar to the Veteran Soldiers. They have crossbows (and bolts this time!)
1171. The xbows and bolts are mentioned in gear this time
1172. The rations and tabard are traded for 2d6 gp and the Baroness' livery.
  1173.
1174. pg 21, *Rodrigo, Swordmaster of the Balleryn School (duelist 3/fighter (weapon master) 6)
  1175. 15 PB
1176. CMD is under by 1 (missing bonus from Dodge feat)
1177. Has an empty but still existing Combat Gear section
  1178.
1179. pg 21, Students of the Balleryn School (aristocrat 1/warrior 5)
1180. Despite having 5 warrior levels, these are slightly distinct from the other warrior 5s.
  1181. 10 PB
1182. Treated Aristocrat as having Good Fort instead of Good Will
1183. Has an empty but still existing Combat Gear section
1184. Still has 3,095gp of basic wealth left (90%)
  1185.
1186. pg 23, Rikkon Harbold, Last Watch Captain of Daveryn (fighter 11)
1187. Mostly identical to the Military (General) entry from the Gamemastery Guide.
1188. How did I know immediately that they didn't build this guy? He had more than one magic item, and his HP was right for once.
1189. In languages, traded out Orc for Dwarven
1190. Removed the cold iron spikes from his full plate
1191. Traded the horse and its equipment for 10 cigars
  1192.
1193. pg 23, Soldiers of the Watch (warrior 2)
1194. Captain Barhold's men from Book 1 (same errors), switching out a couple items.
1195. Glaives instead of longswords and heavy steel shields
1196. dirty town livery, 2 days iron rations, and a waterskin instead of a signal horn and a strongbox key
  1197.
1198. pg 25, Sir Arnon MacAnders, Warden of Tandengate Prison (warrior 12)
1199. Assuming his tabard and key are worth 11gp total, still has 14,022gp left of basic wealth (86%)
  1200.
1201. pg 25, Elite Prison Guards (warrior 5)
1202. It's another warrior 5, same as the other warrior 5s.
1203. Based on the Baroness' Men, they trade the 2d6 gp and the Baroness' livery for a tabard and a potion of cure light wounds.
  1204.
  1205. pg 26, Irfan al-Janbiya (assassin 7/rogue 5)
  1206. 15 PB
1207. I'd like to make a point of his stat line: 10 Con, 10 Wis, 14 Cha. As classes that have neither Fort or Will as a good save. And without the feats that improve them. *He has a +3 to those saves.* As a character with no Cha reliance whatsoever (he's certainly not a face character), why?
  1208. 85/97 ranks
1209. No gear (he's a cohort, so fine...but where did his gear from his attempted assassination go?)
  1210.
1211. pg 28, Duke Martin of Daveryn (aristocrat 10/fighter 5)
  1212. 15 PB
  1213. CR 13
  1214. CMB is 1 over
  1215. CMD is 3 under
  1216. 63/75 ranks
1217. Treating his 4 days of food as being worth the cost of a trail ration each, still has 13,899gp left of heroic wealth (31%)
1218. Unrelated, but I had a lot of fun rebuilding this guy. Aristocrat levels across the board became Phantom Thief levels, so he was able to get Expeditious Retreat as an SLA with Major Magic. His feats included Quicken Spell-Like Ability, Run (obtained w/Armoured Sprint fighter AAT), and 9 Fleet feats. When the PCs encountered him, he *sprinted* at 525ft a round (60 mph/99 km/h).
  1219.
1220. pg 31, Maul, an Astral Deva
1221. Mostly identical to the entry in Bestiary 1
  1222. Didn't change Craft (any)
1223. Has a "Union of Good" with Clarion (below): allows him to use self-only abilities on Clarion if they're holding hands, and can always telepathically communicate
  1224.
  1225. pg 31, Clarion, a Trumpet Archon
1226. Mostly identical to the entry in Bestiary 1
1227. Changed some spells around, but I don't see any issues with any of the choices.
1228. An obvious rule patch: Changed Trumpet to not affect Archons or Angels. This could have just included Maul instead in the Union of Good...
1229. "Union of Good" allows Clarion to use self-only abilities as if they're holding hands. The main use of this from Clarion's perspective is greater teleport.
  1230.
1231. pg 35, The Stormborn King, Lord of the Eagles
1232. Mostly identical to the Thunderbird entry in Bestiary 2
1233. Increased all mental stats by 2 for some reason.
1234. Mostly successfully; didn't give it extra skill ranks for the bonus INT, and didn't change the Perform (sing) modifier
  1235.
1236. pg 35, Courtiers of the Stormborn King, Giant Eagle Warrior-Elite
1237. 'advanced' Giant Eagles from Bestiary 1, with 4 more Hit Dice. Once again, erroneously equated +1 HD = +1 CR.
  1238. Added +2 Str, +2 Con
1239. Correctly changed Fort save for the increase to HD, but didn't add +1 CON from above
1240. CMB is under by 1 (either extra STR or the size modifier)
  1241.
1242. pg 38, Jeratheon Knightsbane, Son of Chargammon
1243. Unique adult black dragon, Bestiary 1.
  1244. What's unique about him?
1245. Made him Huge in the initial description, and subtracted the Huge AC modifer...but that's it: No bonus CON or STR; no changes to attacks, CMB or CMD; no changes to Fly or Stealth; FFS, they didn't even change his Space or Reach.
1246. The only other change from base is that they gave him +1 Con to make it 22. As written, this only changed his flat HP bonus.
1247. it didn't change the CON-based thing one line below it (Fort), and it didn't effect his breath weapon DC.
  1248.
1249. pg 40, The Lesser Cousins
1250. 'advanced' giant River Drakes from Bestiary 3.
1251. They did the thing again where +1 HD = +1 CR.
1252. Reflex is over by 1 (forgot Dex decrease?)
1253. Fort is over by 1 (I got nothing)
1254. 2d4 natural attack with one size increase goes to 2d6 (they have 3d6, so it might be a typo)
1255. 1d4 natural attack with one size increase goes to 1d8 (definitely not a typo here; they wrote 2d6)
1256. Increased Caustic Spittle's damage...sure, I guess? In no world does 2d8 increase to 3d10, though.
1257. attack roll is over by 1 (Didn't subtract size modifier)
1258. CMB is under by 1 (And completely forgot it in CMB)
1259. Rounded up on tail damage
1260. Forgot Size modifiers to Fly and Stealth
  1261.
  1262. pg 41, Viper Vines
1263. Mostly identical to Bestiary 2's entry
1264. Has a footnote about not being affected by the area's difficult terrain (which makes sense here)
  1265.
1266. pg 44, Chargammon, Black Dragon Great Wyrm
1267. Mostly identical to the pfsrd's entry.
1268. $Has a small footnote in the breath weapon section about how long it takes to recharge
1269. Gave him +4 Int over the base
1270. Mostly done right; gave the extra ranks to Bluff and Sense Motive. However, they didn't give them the +3 from being class skills.
1271. Bite is 6d6 w/Improved Natural Attack (this is an error on the pfsrd's part)
1272. Is missing 1 language (again, pfsrd error; Fire Mountain properly gave him 2 languages from their +4 Int)
  1273.
  1274. pg 49, Setia Swims-the-Sea-of-Stars
1275. Mostly identical to the cetaceal from Bestiary 2
1276. Removed the 1.5*STR damage from her shortspear attack (she has no reason to not 2-hand it...)
1277. Concentration check bonus is 2 over
  1278.
1279. pg 49, Elder Water Elemental
1280. Pretty much identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
1281. $A footnote about the size of the Vortex ability
  1282.
  1283. pg 51, Sakura Yoshimune
1284. Mostly identical to Bestiary 3's Toshigami.
1285. Removed the haste speed bonus from her fly speed
1286. Subtracted 2 from her quarterstaff attack rolls, as if Paizo forgot the TWF penalties (they didn't)
1287. Also subtracted 1 from her touch of ages attack roll (I think they forgot Haste gives a +1 to attack)
1288. Erroneously subtracted 3 from her CMD (Her insight bonus and...Dodge? Haste? One of the two.
1289. Gave her an extra language (I assume in Paizo's case they treated Speak With Plants and Telepathy as separate languages for the purposes of her INT score)
  1290.
  1291. pg 53, Shakti S hobhana [sic]
1292. Mostly identical to the Tataka entry from the pfsrd
1293. Redeemed (so LG instead of LE)
1294. Didn't change DR but *did* change what alignment her fists count as (typically, these directly correlate)
1295. The pfsrd fixed an error on Paizo's part: the Tataka entry's skills got truncated after Climb, when she has many more skill ranks to spend.
1296. Unfortunately, by my math she's spent 120/126 skill ranks. This is the pfsrd's fault.
  1297.
1298. pg 54, Crystal Shapers (oread cleric 8 of Definitely Not Torag)
  1299. 15 PB
1300. Wrong concentration check on racial SLA is over by 4 (used WIS instead of CHA)
1301. FCB is in both HP and skill ranks
1302. +1 CON, no Toughness; but the written flat HP bonus is +16
1303. 0 INT, cleric is 2/lvl: but they have 24 skill ranks
1304. Still has 7,482gp left of heroic wealth (96%)
  1305.
1306. pg 54, Crystal Sorcerers (oread sorcerer (earth) 8)
  1307. 15 PB
1308. Didn't mention that Scorching Ray is an acid effect (from bloodline)
1309. Also gave Scorching Ray a DC (it's just a touch attack)
1310. Still has 7,492gp left of heroic wealth (96%)
1311. Has "enfeeblement" as a 1st level spell (likely ray of enfeeblement)
  1312.
1313. pg 55, Oread Scouts (oread rogue (sniper) 8)

1327. point buy requires buying a 13 CHA and putting a level bonus into it...Why??
1328. If attacking with only one end of his double-bladed sword, should get 1.5*STR to damage.
1329. Non-raging HP is wrong (used +2 CON rage instead of Greater's +3)
1330. Still has 44,574gp left of heroic wealth (99.1%)
  1331.
  1332. pg 56, The Caretakers...Four-armed crystal gargoyles
1333. The Four-Armed Gargoyle from Carrion Crown 6 (more likely, they just got it from the pfsrd) with the Crystal Creature template from, apparently, Lost Cities of Golarion. Good luck finding it, though: It's not on the Archives, and it's not on the pfsrd (although the Advanced Bestiary's version is there! It's slightly different.)
1334. My only clue was the strange mention of a 'crystal xorn', which googling it brought me to the aforementioned book.
1335. Since the one from Lost Cities is unavailable legally, I will be basing my analysis on Green Ronin's, which I imagine Paizo based their own creation on.
1336. N instead of CE with no real reason
  1337. Didn't change creature type
1338. Didn't give it low light vision
  1339. Didn't give it DR 5/-
1340. Only subtracted 2 Int (template is -4)
1341. CMD is under by 1
1342. Brilliant Pestilence is supposed to be CHA based, ie DC 15 for the four-armed gargoyle. DC is 23, somehow.
1343. Brilliant Pestilence doesn't affect his gore attack (which it should)
1344. Some changes between the mechanics of the two templates aren't meaningful to mention here because that's not Fire Mountain's fault.
  1345.
1346. pg 57, Xkr’xkz’xko (or “Xekar”), Xorn Sorcerer
1347. Advanced Template Xorn w/7 sorcerer levels (Deep Earth bloodline)
1348. Xorn are not spellcasting creatures, so sorcerer levels are not key classes: he should be CR 11, not CR 14.
1349. Didn't apply the proper 'Monster w/class levels' modifiers; Just subtracted 1 from Str and Con, and added 3 Cha. The advancements from having 8 and 12 Hit Dice had to have gone into Charisma, since every other stat is identical to an Advanced Xorn.
1350. Rounded down before adding the average HP (so 139 instead of 140)
1351. Flat modifier on HP is 14 under (forgot Toughness)
1352. Has 1 more Tremor use than its supposed to
  1353. Missing 2 feats
1354. Skills are messy; can fit proper skill ranks if they:
1355. Treated Diplomacy as a class skill (Xorns nor Sorcerer have it)
1356. They gave the improved Skill Focus bonus while the skill in question was only at 7 ranks
1357. Each error they didn't commit puts the total skill ranks over by 3.
1358. No gear: Fits basic wealth with raw gold held (25,000gp in rubies), but wealth should be primarily gear-based.
  1359.
  1360. pg 58, Carnivorous Crystals
1361. Identical to Bestiary 3's entry.
  1362.
1363. pg 60, The Visitor in the Stacks
1364. Witchwyrd (from Bestiary 2) Wizard (abjurer) 9
1365. While Witchwyrds do have spellcasting, the Monster Advancement table only says that spellcasting classes count as key when they stack with the existing creature's casting. Witchwyrds cast with SLAs, so they don't stack with Wizard casting: this guy should be CR 11, not CR 15.
  1366. Missing a feat
1367. Didn't apply 'monster + class levels' modifiers at all (bonus stats come from gear + HD advancement alone)
1368. Didn't include their constant resist energy - it's not included in their Paizo stat block because it could be of any type
1369. Should have an additional ranseur attack due to hitting BAB 11.
1370. Doesn't mention abjurer's protective ward (but it's useless to him in this situation, so I guess that's fine)
1371. Tactics are to cast defensive spells (3 of them), then fly above the party and throw fireballs. From a wand. 5d6, DC 14? At this level, resist energy covers 30 damage, the max a standard fireball wand can roll. Its force bolts will inevitably deal more damage.
1372. Is missing 1 language, but it might have overlapped with its naturally known languages. (Headband gives 2)
1373. Skills are a bit messy:
  1374. 120/169 ranks
1375. Only one skill is maxed out on ranks (+4 headband means there should be two)
1376. Subtracted UMD ranks from the base creature
1377. Is over heroic wealth for CR 15, and WAY over for it's actual CR (10,525gp over CR 15 heroic (123%)

1383. +2 Int (properly done: put the new ranks into Craft (sculptures), and all INT skills were increased by 1)
1384. Is missing 2 languages (Fire Mountain seems to think Dragons start knowing Common and Draconic. Nope: they only start knowing the latter.)

1402. 2 too many 2nd-level spells prepared (fucked up how Ring of Wizardry works: "Bonus spells from high ability scores or school specialization are not doubled." but they did exactly that.)
1403. Treated Web as an evocation spell for DCs

1413. +2 natural armour over the base (good!)
1414. +4 flat HP (bad! Constructs only get HP from their size!)
1415. Properly added +2 to its bite attack from the BAB advancement...
1416. but then subtracted 5 from its slams, as if they were secondary natural attacks (but didn't change damage)
1417. $Added 2d6 fire to the swallow whole ability (okay, sure)
1418. Didn't change AC of swallow whole (10 + 1/2 natural armour, so under by 1)
  1419. Didn't change trample DC (10 + 1/2 HD + STR, so under by 1)
1420. Discrepency between the HP given in the Offense section and the Special Abilities of Swallow Whole (the offense section is correct)

1426. Sling attack is 2 over
1427. Most combat healing is trash, so preparing mass cure serious wounds as an 8th-level spell is egregious.
1428. With Augment Summoning, she should, theoretically, be doing nothing but that; but her tactics don't even mention summoning. Likely because it won't work due to the forbiddance.
1429. Heal doesn't include bonus from Healer's Kit

  1444. HP is a mess
1445. Flat modifier is wrong; would need 8 HP/HD, but they only have 6 with FCB
1446. Even if their modifier was right, the given total HP value is 14 over the rules proper, and 20 over their usual failure (of not giving the max HP on 1st HD).
1447. Didn't multiply either STR or Power Attack bonus by the two-handing 1.5 modifier.
  1448. Non-raging stats suck, too.
1449. HP is wrong again: 31 over their usual, and 26 over the RAW value.
1450. Still didn't multiply Power Attack's damage bonus
1451. Didn't actually change the given Str and Con scores (ie still says Str 22, Con 18 when those should both be 4 less)
1452. Same mistake as above with the mwk hide shirt but actually being hide armour.
1453. Again, means he should be moving faster
  1454. Has 1 extra language

1478. Str score is written as 16 (20), because Brother Quintus (below) casts Bull Strength on him...despite the king having a +2 Str belt already. If you're going to do it with this notation, this is wrong: Str 16 (18), since enhancement bonuses don't stack.
1479. Flat HP bonus is under by 16 (forgot that he has Toughness)
1480. Adds his shield enhancement bonus to his shield bash attack and damage (need Shield Master for that, which he lacks)
1481. Shield bash attack is 1 under
1482. Composite Bow attack is 2 under (forgot enhancement)

  1504.
1505. pg 8, Tiadora of the Glyou
1506. "Advanced" handmaiden devil from Bestiary 2.
1507. They applied the advanced template! Then added an extra HD. Somehow, these are both +1 CR.
  1508. Didn't change SR
1509. Tentacle damage is 1 over (as secondary attacks, they only get STR*0.5, so the bonus strength from Advanced should only equate to 1 extra damage)
1510. Tentacle cage is 1 under (same deal: it deals 1.5*STR, so it should've been +3)
1511. Didn't change tentacle cage AC or HP (works as swallow whole, so AC 10+1/2 natural armour, and HP one tenth of the creature's)
1512. Increased SLA caster level (unlike a lot of creatures, devil CLs *are not* tied to their HD.)
1513. Concentration check is 2 under
1514. Didn't give her her summon ability (since it's implied she used it already, but see below because it's fucking confusing)
1515. Changed Greater Teleport to allow up to 16 willing or helpless creatures (this is fine, I guess...)
  1516. Didn't change BAB
1517. Attack rolls are still correct in terms of what her BAB should actually be
1518. It did affect CMB and CMD.
1519. Didn't give her an ability score advancement for hitting 16 HD (with three odd stats, she would definitely benefit from it.)

  1539. pg 17, Dergodaemons...slaves of Hazra-Thura
1540. Largely identical to the entry in Bestiary 2
  1541. Gave a Power Attack-modified attack...but got the scaling wrong. (12 BAB = -4/+8; they wrote -3/+6)
1542. Removed summon (these are called creatures, not summoned, so they still should have it)
  1543.
1544. pg 17, Vetra-Kali Eats-the Eyes, Daemon Prince of Pestilence
1545. Only a stub: says to take from Book 2, and add 4 HD.
1546. The error here is, again, their +4 HD = +4 CR problem.
  1547.
1548. pg 23, Sir Richard’s Men (Knights of the Alerion) (cavalier 10)
  1549. 15 PB
1550. Has +3 vs fear, which is the right value for a fighter 10's bravery feature...but these aren't fighters.
1551. Modified attack for when they're mounted is wrong:
1552. Gives it an overall +6, and this is right with all the class features properly lined up - but their banner isn't explicitly said where it is. Is it on the horse? Technically not legal due to the barding: "a barded animal cannot be used to carry any load other than a rider and normal saddlebags." Is it on them? How are they holding it?
1553. Spirited Charge doubles all damage, not just the dice (they wrote 2d8+3; should be 2d8+6)
1554. Ride is over by 4
1555. Handle Animal w/ his mount is under by 5 (Link companion ability)
1556. Still has 5,270gp left of heroic wealth (41%)

  1558. pg 23, Knights’ Mounts
1559. Oh look, they fucked up an animal companion.
1560. Started with the Heavy Horse from the pfsrd, which means it...
1561. has a much higher stat line than a companion should
1562. Has a lower natural armour than it should have
  1563. They also didn't...
1564. Remove docile (from being combat trained) (also, companion animals don't gain docile in the first place)
1565. Give it any extra tricks (Should, at minimum, have 10: 6 from combat training + 4 from being a companion. They didn't give the tricks from combat training at all.)
1566. Give it the bonus from Skill Focus (Perception)
  1567.
1568. pg 24, Eric the Falconer (Eric Varning) / the Paladin’s Wizard (wizard (evoker) 16)
  1569. 25 PB
1570. Is missing languages from headband
1571. Missing a feat (likely Scribe Scroll since it's absent, but they could've also done the PFS substitution with Spell Focus, in which case it could be anything.)
1572. Only casts Protection from Spells on himself (given what the focus component is and where he is when combat begins, fine. Still lasts 160 minutes, and he could still affect 3 more people if he were a little less stringent with money. He could afford it, too.)
  1573. CR = HD
  1574.
  1575. pg 24, Dart, Eric’s Hawk Familiar
1576. Because his master's HP is wrong (ie the error where they don't give max HP on 1st HD), his HP is also wrong
1577. Gave the talons iterative attacks
  1578. Perception is under by 12 (master's skill ranks (16) + hawk WIS (2) + hawk racial (8) = 26)
  1579.
1580. pg 25, *Brother Carthus Donnagin / the Paladin’s Priest (cleric 16 of Mitra The Shining Lord)
1581. Lowest PB I can get him to is 27; 25 fits if he was originally given a +2 Con belt before it was removed from his gear.
1582. Added Glory domain bonus to channel DC (it only applies vs undead; normally this isn't too much an issue, but he has Alignment Channel)
1583. Why cast Prayer before battle? It's a buff, sure...but it's also a rare debuff with no save.
1584. Didn't add healer's kit bonus to Heal
  1585. Doesn't have Holy Aura's focus component
  1586. CR = HD
  1587.
1588. pg 26, **Sir Richard Thomasson, Lord of Havelyn (paladin 17)
1589. If Bull's Strength is factored into stats, fits 20PB. However, since no other buffs are factored in, It's safe to say it's not: in which case, his lowest is 26 PB.
1590. Smite Evil will only add 2 AC since it's a deflection bonus (and with the Cleric's Holy Aura, it won't add any)
1591. Doesn't use Divine Bond, which is a better option *in almost every way* over casting Holy Sword. You could make your weapon a +5 speed longsword!
1592. Divine Bond is also only listed as +3 in the Special Qualities (It's +5)
  1593. Is missing a 3rd and 4th level spell
1594. "He mostly will not bother with spells he feels that the PCs are likely to resist..." IIRC, Paladins have the most no-save debuffs in the game. Instead of Holy Sword, why not prepare fucking LITANY OF VENGEANCE?
1595. Furthermore, Paladin spells will always have a low save by virtue of being 4th-level spell casters...but if a smote character fails the save against Litany of Righteousness (by a nat 1, for example), you now have optimal conditions to deal the most damage per round in the *entire game.*
1596. Has 1 more mercy than he's supposed to (even with Extra Mercy!)
1597. Fits within heroic wealth - but he's a major antagonist to the PCs: just give him PC wealth!
  1598. CR = HD
  1599.
1600. pg 31, Statues of the Old Gods
1601. CG Reliquary Guardians from Tome of Horrors.
1602. $Conversion from the LE default to CG went well.
1603. $Tactics are mostly the same (but pluralized, and added a Morale section.)
1604. Swords are destroyed when the statues are (why?)
  1605.
1606. pg 32, The Hungry White
1607. a Carnivorous Blob (Bestiary 2) with the Alchemically Invisible template (the pfsrd says it's from the Rival Guide, but the Archives don't have it.)
1608. As an ooze, it's immune to the downsides of the template. Nifty?
1609. Swapped cold and electricity resistance/vulnerability.
1610. Forgot the size penalty to Stealth (-16, so this is substantial.)
1611. Redundantly mentions the +8 racial bonus from having climb/swim speeds.
  1612.
  1613. pg 33, Ropers
1614. Mostly identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
1615. Traded out its Skill Focus feats for Silent as Stone and Stone Clinger.
1616. These are 3.5e feats. The pfsrd automatically converted them. As someone who doesn't allow 3.5e content, this was a major sticking point.
1617. Doesn't meet the requirements for Silent as Stone (lacks Stealthy feat)
1618. Hilariously (considering the previous creature), didn't add the +8 racial bonus from gaining a climb speed.
1619. Subtracted 4 from Perception and 2 from Stealth from removing Skill Focus (instead of 6 from both)
  1620.
1621. pg 35, The Three Sisters (Ice Elf Banshees)
1622. Mostly identical to Bestiary 2's entry.
  1623. Gave it +2 Int
1624. Gave the ranks properly to Perform (song), but treated Perform as a class skill. Mechanically incorrect, but from a narrative standpoint, fine.
1625. See below the next creature for a note about the wail.
  1626.
1627. pg 36, The Three Lords (Ice Elf Dread Wraiths)
1628. Variant dread wraiths (starts with the Dread Wraith from the pfsrd, which says it's from The Witchwar Legacy but the Archives don't have it)
1629. Changed Infernal and Skald to Elven; still is missing 1 language, now.
1630. $Included the wraith's special abilities, which the pfsrd entry lacks on the Dread Wraith.
1631. Doubled the temporary HP a typical wraith gains when successfully draining Con.
  1632.
1633. Worth noting beyond these two creatures, the book asks - again - if the combined CR 18 encounter (APL +2) is too much. "...three DC 23 Fortitude saves in a row is probably too much. Myself, I would rule that the three sisters must wail together to create such a potent death effect." You probably have undead party members at this point, so they're immune, At this level, a caster with a bad Fort save should still very likely have - at bare minimum - a +5 cloak of resistance and a +4 Con belt. If they had a 10 Con base, that's still a +12 Fort save, which is a 45% chance per save. And with 25 point buy, I *guarantee* they have a better base Con than that. Then you add the potential for death ward, the fact Emergency Force Sphere exists, they might've opted for a +6 belt, they might be possessing something with a high CON mod, could have class features that increase their Fort save...I'm not even going to mention characters with Good fort saves since they have a +10 base, before CON, cloaks, class features, etc: they very likely will only fail this on a natural 1.
  1634.
1635. pg 38, Nythoggr, Cairn Linnorm
1636. Mostly identical to Bestiary 3's entry.
1637. $Appends his name to the end of the death curse: 'death curse of Nythoggr'.
1638. Gave him +4 Cha; properly increased his death curse's DC.
1639. Gave him +8 Swim...for some reason. If he had the ranks to do so, he could, but doing so would put him at 68/60 ranks.
  1640.
1641. pg 45, Zaerabos of the Cornugon, Emissary of Zaebos(Horned Devil)
1642. Mostly identical to the entry in Bestiary 1.
1643. $If slain, his spiked chain explicitly resizes to fit its new owner. OK.
  1644.
1645. pg 52, The King’s Guard, Elite Frost Giant Warriors
1646. 'Advanced' frost giants, from Bestiary 1.
1647. They applied roughly half the template: didn't increase Dex, Int, or Cha; only increase Wis by 2; and increased Con by 5.
1648. Only increased greataxe and rock damage by 2 (Advanced STR*1.5 = 3)
1649. Didn't change 'craft (any one)'
1650. WTF is a 'mail shirt'? I assume a chain shirt since that's what the Bestiary entry has.
  1651.
1652. pg 53, Ingolfr Issox “The Ice Axe”, Frost Giant King
1653. Jotunblooded (Advanced Bestiary) frost giant barbarian 5. Hoo boy. When properly built, this guy's probably one of the scariest creatures in the whole AP. They really fucked him up, though.
1654. Didn't get natural armour bonus from new size
1655. Admittedly, the template doesn't explicitly mention it, but it does mention the other size++ modifiers.
1656. Didn't get the 'monster + class levels' modifiers
1657. His stat line does not include the Str and Con bonuses from raging. (Despite this, the 'not raging' section subtracts 4 from both)
1658. flat HP bonus is wrong (somehow adding 10*HD, when he has 8 CON + Toughness, so 9*HD. FCB only applies to class levels!)
1659. Fort is under by 4
1660. Ref is under by 4
1661. Will is under by 2
1662. SR is way off (Jotunblooded gives 8+total HD. His given SR is HD-4. FFS, if they used the normal SR rules it's still wrong, since that would be SR 29!)
1663. Assuming his armour is hide (ie medium), speed is 10ft faster than it should be
1664. Power Attack scaling is off by 1 (-6/+12 instead of the written -5/+10)
  1665. Forgot Icy Burst's benefit
1666. Huge Greataxe damage dice are wrong (1d12 to Huge goes to 4d6, not 3d8)
1667. Huge slam dice are wrong (2d6, not 1d10)
1668. Didn't change rock damage (by RAW, 3*slam die + 1.5*STR; they fucked up every step here, even if their slam damage was right)
1669. Rage rounds are wrong (needs 7 CON to be right)
1670. Jotunblooded lets you retrain feats, which was a rarity before Ultimate Campaign came out. Despite this, he still has Martial Proficiency, which is a dead feat when you have Barbarian levels.
  1671. Has a misc. +5 CMB that I can't place.
  1672. CMD is 5 over
  1673. Missing a feat.
1674. Assuming hide armour, 63/68 ranks (if they forgot ACP, he's at 69/68)
1675. Fire Resistance in Special Abilities says you subtract resistance before applying vulnerability (Nope! Otherwise, electricity would be useless in Iron Gods since you'd never get past their hardness and resistance.)
1676. Non-raging stats are wrong, too.
1677. All attack rolls are 1 over
1678. greataxe damage roll is 1 over
1679. Most of the errors above apply too (slam being wrong, rock throw being really wrong, etc)
  1680. CMD is 2 under
1681. For some reason, his huge +1 keen icy burst greataxe shatters on death.
1682. In wealthy items of in-combat use, he has spent 57,405 gp (60% of heroic NPC wealth for the equivalent of level 18). In wealth the PCs get at the end of the encounter, he has spent 49,045gp (51%)
  1683.
1684. pg 55, Lady Ellisif, Frost Giant Queen ('advanced' frost giant cleric 11 of Thremyr)
1685. Thremyr fits the entire package: light blue, frozen giant with the Ice and Evil domains that's within his alignment range.
  1686. Stat line is...serviceable.
1687. Probably applied the entirety of the Advanced template.
1688. But in lieu of the regular 'monster + class level' modifiers, they went with -2/-4/0/0/+4/0.
1689. Her 3 HD advancement bonuses appear to be in Con.
1690. Her CR is probably right: giants aren't naturally casting classes, so until cleric 14 each level is worth +1/2 CR. They just rounded up.
1691. Treated all her HD as having FCBs for the purposes of adding to her HP (only her cleric levels do!)
  1692. Will is 1 under
1693. Didn't include fire resistance from armour in defenses
1694. AC is 1 over (wearing a hide shirt, not hide armour)
1695. Greataxe dmg is under by 1 (forgot magic)
1696. $Retrained Skill Focus from Stealth to Diplomacy
1697. 68/100 skill ranks (assuming they forgot to up Skill Focus from 3 to 6 at 10)
1698. is missing 1 language (Giants appear to start knowing Common and Giant)
  1699.
1700. pg 61, Defenders of the Cathedral, Grave Knights
1701. While it's not explicitly written out, the stat block makes sense if it was a human fighter 11 beforehand. (Template is from Bestiary 3) Base CR = 10.
1702. It is *loosely* based on the sample graveknight from Bestiary 3. This is the only possibility for some of its errors below.
1703. With 10 base Con, it fits 15 PB if they forgot HD advancement OR removed/forgot racial bonus.
1704. Removed its Fort save (undead still have to make them sometimes! Disintegrate has been available for 6 levels!) This is especially egregious since you kept the bravery information, which undead are explicitly immune to except for very specific circumstances)
1705. Still has acid immunity from the sample graveknight
1706. Still has the SR of the sample despite being 1 CR higher
1707. Greataxe damage is 1 over
1708. Armor Spike damage is 2 over
  1709. Skill ranks 68/66
1710. Treated Sense Motive as a class skill; this is iffy since the template never says anything about whether they get undead class skills or not
1711. Within wealth of a heroic 11th level NPC, but if we treat CR = lvl for the purposes of wealth it still has 5,590gp left (27%)
  1712.
  1713. pg 63, Anti-life Abettors
1714. An elder negative energy elemental from the Tome of Horrors.
1715. Made it Large instead of Huge, but didn't...
1716. Change its stats (-8 Str, +2 Dex, -4 Con, -3 natural armour)
  1717. Change its attack
  1718. Change CMB/CMD
1719. Change its skills (except Stealth, but I assume that's a typo: see below)
1720. Stealth got truncated; just reads Stealth +2 (Tome of Horrors says it's a +21)
  1721.
1722. pg 65, Barqesh and Ra’adir, twin undead dragons
1723. Ravener mature adult blue dragons. Ravener comes from Bestiary 2, and the mature adult blue dragon comes from the pfsrd.
1724. Ravener can only be added to Ancient or older dragons.
1725. Didn't give it the augmented subtype - it just moved the dragon type over into the subtype block
1726. Didn't change SR with new CR
1727. Didn't add channel resistance in defenses (only in a tiny footnote in SQ)
1728. Didn't add the negative level from natural attack crits in the attack block (only mentioned in the Soul Ward section of Special Abilities)
1729. Didn't add the negative levels from breath weapon in the attack block (Only mentioned in Special Abilities)
1730. Didn't change breath weapon DC
  1731.
1732. pg 67, Vastenus Barca, the Traitor General of Talingarde (half-elf aristocrat 7/fighter 11)
  1733. 25 PB
1734. Also used the average of d6 instead of d8 for the aristocrat levels
1735. Fort is under by 2 (this could be one of: Aristocrat's Fort base; his CON; or his cloak of resistance)
1736. Ref is under by 3 (this could be one of either his DEX or Fighter's Ref base)
1737. Will is under by 3 (this could be one of either his WIS or Fighter's Will base)
1738. Has Armor Training 2 but is still slower than base speed
1739. Bow attack is 1 over
1740. Bow damage is 3 under
1741. Has magic arrows and a magic bow that have the exact same magical properties (a costly redundancy)
  1742. 64/68 ranks (before FCB)
  1743. FCB is missing completely
1744. Still has 39,154gp of heroic wealth (41%)
  1745.
1746. pg nice, Grigori Sherkov, Necromancer (old wizard 18)
1747. Assuming his prepared age resistance is cast at the start of the day, fits 15 PB (Otherwise fits 30)
1748. Has 1 more channel use
1749. Channel DC is under by 1
1750. Has 1 more Grave Touch use
1751. Why do you have Mage Armour prepared when you have Bracers of Armour +4? Literally nothing on this floor except the negative energy elementals would benefit from it.
1752. Discrepancy between spellbooks and character: His spellbooks completely lack evocation spells, but he has some prepared; furthermore, while his restricted schools are enchantment and illusion, the spellbook implies they're actually evocation and illusion.
  1753.
1754. pg nice, Adderspite, Sherkov’s familiar
1755. Because his master' HP is incorrect, his HP is also incorrect.
  1756.
1757. pg 71, **Marcel Wolfram, Lord of the Second Knot (antipaladin 18)
1758. While heavily suggested by the authors, they did not make the LE-capable antipaladin mandatory. If you're a stickler for RAW, this violates it.
1759. Could/should mention Touch of Corruption in combat.
1760. Should at least include his bond in combat statistics.
1761. Channel DC is over by 1
1762. Caster Level is under by 1
  1763. Missing a 4th level spell
1764. Forgot INT to KN: religion and Spellcraft
1765. Spent 142,357gp (plus his footlocker key, which I'm treating as being worth nothing). This is 148% of heroic wealth, but only 27% of PC wealth.
  1766. CR = HD
  1767.
1768. pg 77, ***Cardinal Adrastus Thorn (unique lich cleric 18 of Asmodeus)
  1769. 25 PB with base 10 Con
  1770. AC is really wrong
1771. If everything given was right, his full AC is over by 1, and touch AC is under by 1
1772. Only has a DEX to armour of 2, despite not being encumbered and wearing a Mithral Breastplate (max 5 DEX, which is equal to his full DEX mod)
1773. His real AC is 35, touch 19
1774. Removed his Fort save (AGAIN! should be +20)
1775. Speed is 20ft despite mithral breastplate (ie counts as light armour for movement)
1776. Channel DC is under by 2 (forgot Improved Channel)
1777. Offense section assumes he has 1 less WIS. For example:
1778. All domain ability that are 3+WIS uses are 1 under (ie have 1 more use than written)
  1779. Master's Illusion DC is 1 under
1780. All spell DCs are 1 under
1781. Concentration DC is 1 under
  1782. etc.
  1783. Half-exception is # of spells: has 5 8th-levels prepared...but still only has 6 4th-levels prepared.
1784. Why does he have resurrection prepared? He lacks the material component. If he plans to use the PCs' hair as an offensive option vs the undead members, it still has a 1 minute casting time.
1785. I actually have many questions about his choices of spells, but that one is the worst.
1786. I think he added STR and DEX to CMB? His CMB is over by 5.
1787. CMD is under by 2
1788. They created two feats in this book, with harsh penalties that he's essentially immune to, specifically for him to be able to amp his caster level by 2 or to grant himself +2 profane bonuses to d20s.
1789. Skills add up if they:
  1790. forgot Perception was a class skill (because of Lich);
  1791. made an off-by-one error on Perception;
1792. and forgot a +8 to Sense Motive (either WIS or from the lich template)
1793. Headband doesn't call out what languages or skills it's linked to (this is a mistake Paizo makes often, so I won't begrudge them too badly for it)
1794. Disregarding a key and a non-magical amulet that has the Pit Fiend's true name on it, has spent 191,875gp; 200% of heroic wealth but only 36% of PC wealth (and he's a major antagonist: he should have PC wealth.)
1795. As Lich is a +2 CR template, he originally had CR = HD
  1796.
  1797. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  1798. BOOK 6:
  1799.
  1800. pg 9, Menoetius
1801. A unique thanatotic titan, from Bestiary 2.
1802. Lost its 1/day greater planar ally
1803. Treated Intimidate as a class skill (Thanatotic titans choose KN:arcana, KN:history, Spellcraft, and Use Magic Device as their 4 floating class sills, and none of these were changed)
1804. Gave it ranks in Ride (which is fine, since the base creature is actually missing 23 ranks)
  1805. $Is bound to a particular ring
1806. Gear melts away when slain (stop that!)
  1807.
1808. pg 11, Cedrick Malthus, Agent of the Sixth Knot (fighter 4/rogue 3/duelist 10)
  1809. 25PB
1810. Treats Rogue and Duelist as favoured classes for FCB...but Favored Prestige Class came out in 2016. You otherwise can't select prestige classes as favoured classes, and as a human he can only select one favoured class.
1811. Reflex is under by 1
1812. Dagger throw attack is under by 1
1813. Didn't add precise strike damage to dagger throw (doesn't require melee range)
1814. Nitpick: Mentions what the bane property does (should, at this point, be redundant for anyone GMing this),
1815. Doesn't mention that duelists get Combat Reflexes while wielding an appropriate weapon. It only gets a hint of a mention in the Special Qualities.
1816. CMD is 4 under (Forgot Dodge, Deflection, and Canny Defense)
1817. Should probably mention the ability to parry + riposte somewhere other than Special Qualities
1818. Doesn't mention evasion at all
1819. Doesn't mention Armor Training at all
1820. Disable Device is 2 under
  1821.
  1822. pg 12, **Sakkarot Fire-Axe (bugbear (Bestiary 1) fighter 13)
1823. Almost used the right stat modifiers for a monster w/ class levels. If they put 3 HD advancement bonuses into Cha (and didn't realize he got a fourth with HD 16), they replace the +0 and -2 of the standard modifiers with more +2s.
  1824. Initiative is 1 under
1825. Greataxe damage is 1 under
  1826. CMB is 2 under
1827. 3 Feats over what he should have (If he were a 16 HD human fighter they'd be the right number...)
1828. Assuming half his FCB went to HP (to make the flat HP bonus correct) and the other half into skills, 43/70 ranks
1829. Has 170,970gp of wealth; Compared to the approximately equivalent 15th level character, he has 380% of heroic wealth, but only 71% of PC wealth.
  1830.
1831. pg 17, Arn Flintskin (hill giant (Bestiary 1) barbarian (scarred rager) 9)
1832. The stat line is 95% correct, which made me think this was based off an already built creature. And it is!
1833. The Hill Giant Chieftain from Giants Revisited with 3 more barbarian levels!
1834. They gave him +1 Str despite not hitting a HD interval of 4.
1835. $Traded out the Dragonhide Breastplate for Hide (keeping the +3 enhancement)
1836. $Increased the natural armour amulet by 2 (so his AC is overall the same)
1837. Rock damage is under by 1
  1838. Non-raging stats:
1839. Didn't change HP from base creature
  1840. Rock damage still wrong
1841. Didn't reduce DR down to 1 (Increased Damage Reduction rage power only applies when raging)
1842. 1 Feat over what he should have
1843. Scarred Rager's Terrifying Visage bonus is 1 over
1844. If 3 new levels' FCB went into skills, 30/31 ranks
  1845.
  1846. pg 17, Great Cyclops
1847. Mostly identical to Bestiary 3.
1848. There are a few errors, but they're on the pfsrd as well so it's mostly their fault.
1849. Subtracted additional 1 from gore secondary attack roll
1850. Removed the (technically redundant) part about speed being reduced to 35ft in armour
1851. Removed the racial +1 from the rock throwing attack roll
1852. The only thing I can blame Fire Mountain for is a lack of critical thinking.
1853. Cyclops' don't have any special features that allow them to ignore the speed penalty from heavier armour. Dwarves do; Fighters do; any character that ignores the penalty either has a specific feature or it's a feature of their type/race.
  1854.
  1855. pg 18, Troll
1856. Identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
  1857.
1858. pg 18, Burgle and Slashabak, Two-Headed Troll
  1859. Advanced two-headed troll fighter 4.
1860. Two-Headed Troll probably came from the pfsrd, which in turn was from Kingmaker 2, which was an updated form of the Tome of Horrors one.
1861. "Advanced" is nebulous: see below
1862. Compared to the base Two-Headed Troll, the stat line differs by +5/+4/+4/0/0/0.
1863. So, they applied the Advanced bonuses to only physical stats, gave the 12 HD advancement to Strength, and then didn't add the 'monster + class' modifiers.
1864. It becomes more "advanced" when you note that they didn't apply the natural armour bonus from the template, either.
1865. Okay, they technically did: see the wealth analysis below.
1866. Didn't add HP from the fighter HD - specifically, *just* the dice. They're still receiving the full 13 HD * CON.
1867. Didn't add Fighter bonuses to saves at all
  1868. Didn't add Bravery
1869. Still moving at a slower speed despite wearing medium armour and having Armor Training 1
1870. Didn't subtract size from attack rolls
1871. $Technically the one from the pfsrd doesn't have superior two-weapon fighting, but it should; a change I approve of, for once.
1872. Didn't add DEX to CMD
1873. Didn't increase Skill Focus' bonus at 10 ranks
1874. If FCB went into skills, 24/17 ranks
  1875. Wealth:
1876. So, the base two-headed troll had *just* an amulet of natural armour +2. This is worth 8,000gp, which is within the heroic wealth of an NPC of its CR (CR 8)
1877. These guys lost the amulet (but kept the overall +2 natural armour since they got it from Advanced), and exchanged it for a breastplate, mwk flail, and a mwk longsword. 8,000gp at a lower level vs 830gp at a higher level??
1878. So, yeah, they're still under wealth by 26,170gp (97%)
  1879.
  1880. pg 19, Hill Giants
  1881. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  1882.
  1883. pg 19, Ettins
  1884. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  1885.
  1886. pg 20, Frost Giants
1887. Mostly identical to Bestiary 1.
1888. +1 Con, but because that makes it odd it doesn't do anything for the statblock.
1889. Didn't change 'craft (any one)'
  1890.
1891. pg 23, **Sir Berithor, Anti-Paladin of Asmodeus (antipaladin 18)
1892. Pretty much a direct Paladin-to-Antipaladin conversion of Sir Richard from the previous book, with an extra level. See that entry for the errors committed there (pretty much all of them are still here). Changes from there will be noted here.
1893. In tactics, he gains one more +1 than he's supposed to when typically using his bonded weapon. (+3 -> +5 (+2) flaming (+1) keen (+1) unholy (+2) = +6; only has +5)
1894. Except Unholy Sword supersedes all the other modifiers, so if he casts that it wouldn't matter
1895. If they're erroneously adding bonded bonuses to an Unholy Sword, then it's only the flaming and keen bonuses, which is 3 lower than his Bond grants.
1896. Even if that were right, the given smite attack is 2 higher than it should be OR it implies Bull's Strength is not included in his stat block
1897. The damage is right, though, which makes me think it's not the Bull's Strength thing.
1898. Removed his deflection bonus from CMD (Why?? You were right the first time, for once!)
1899. Has the right number of Cruelties (as opposed to Paladin form, which had one extra Mercy)
1900. Boon is written in SQ as +4 (should be +5, but it's better than Paladin form's +3)
1901. Items are mostly identical; loses 135gp, and trades the holy symbol's deity from Mitra to Asmodeus.
1902. This is now an issue with the extra level, since it means he still has 33,090gp left (34%)
  1903.
1904. pg 33, **Knight Commander Errol Greymantle (old fighter (armor master) 13)
  1905. 25 PB
1906. Doesn't add Shield bonus to touch AC (from being an Armor Master)
1907. Didn't add the bonus from Greater Shield Focus (or thought a heavy steel shield was +1)
1908. DR 2/-, despite wearing heavy armour (Armor Master gives 3/- if wearing heavy)
  1909. Didn't upgrade Fortification at level 13
1910. Attack roll is over by 2
1911. Damage roll is over by 1
1912. CMD is over by 3
1913. Did they add his shield bonus to CMD? Armor Master doesn't do that.
  1914. Missing a language
1915. Forgot -3 ACP on Climb, Swim
1916. Still has 13,115gp of heroic wealth left (49%)
1917. CR is technically right, but as an old martial (ie -3 to all physical stats) I probably would've reduced his CR by 1.
  1918.
1919. pg 34, Father Marius DeMascas, Inquisitor of Mitra [The Shining Lord] (inquisitor 15)
1920. Is based on the one from Book 4, but that's far enough back I'll go over all the errors again.
1921. The main changes are some feats, some items, and this one has +4 WIS.
  1922. 25 PB
1923. Initiative is 2 under (same as the base)
1924. Will is 2 under (forgot Iron Will)
1925. Didn't mention Stalwart at all
1926. Implies inquisitors choose a judgement from a list when levelling
1927. Spells and SLAs are taken wholesale from the base, which means...
1928. Concentration bonuses are 2 under
  1929. DCs are 2 under
  1930. Should have 1 more 4th and 5th casts/day
1931. Forgot ACP from shield (-1)
1932. Survival is 1 under (probably a typo, since everything else seems right)
1933. Assuming the holy symbol and scripture are 1gp each, is over heroic wealth by 12,861gp (129% overall)
  1934.
1935. pg 37, The Caothach Ool, Legendary Terror of the Caer Bryr
1936. Unique Primal Bandersnatch, from Bestiary 3. Primal is a variant of one. Rather than creating it themselves, the pfsrd has a pre-created one, which has a few errors.
  1937. Didn't change initiative (so it's 2 under)
  1938. HP didn't change (so it's 46 under)
  1939. AC didn't change (so it's 4 under; 2 Dex under, 2 natural under)
1940. Unusually, they did properly add the natural armour in the math parenthesis...
1941. Has an * by Quill Defense
  1942.
  1943. So, what's unique about Fire Mountain's?
1944. It regained planar acclimation (which primal bandersnatches lose)
1945. $Gave it a supernatural ability to always be affected by pass without trace (which I can't really complain about)
  1946. The * on Quill Defense became a +7
1947. It has a paragraph on each of what Rake and Rend do. You know...those common monstrous abilities.
  1948.
1949. pg 53, Teuthia Stormsinger (unique elder kraken)
1950. Mostly identical to Qwoshokk from Mythical Monsters Revisited
  1951. $Female instead of male.
1952. $Brought over the descriptions of the kraken's abilities from the base kraken (Bestiary 1)
1953. Didn't change the DC of the ink poison from Stormsinger having 4 more HD (so it's 2 under)
  1954.
  1955. pg 53, Dire Sharks
  1956. Identical to Bestiary 1.
  1957.
1958. pg 54, Grumblejack, Exalted Daemonic Cohort of the Ninth Knot (half-fiend ogre fighter 10)
1959. Keep in mind Book 2's Grumblejack was the same, but Fighter 1, and had a ton of errors. Because of how many errors there were, I'm not going to mention them here. Partly because there's already a lot of errors in this one, and I'm just going over what's immediately obvious.
1960. Has Weapon Training 3 (not for another 3 levels, buddy)
1961. Took Close as his 2nd weapon group (instead of Natural, the, uhh...natural choice for a character with natural attacks)
1962. Greatsword attack is 6 over
1963. Natural attacks imply Power Attack is toggleable per-attack (nope) and you can choose the penalty (nope)
1964. With what's given, their modifiers are still wrong: claw attack is 3 over, damage is 3 over; bite attack is 3 over, damage is 1 over
1965. DCs and concentration for half-fiend SLAs aren't given
1966. CMB and CMD are untouched from his appearance in Book 2
  1967. Missing 1 feat
1968. With FCB in skills, 47/68 ranks
1969. Intimidate has 1 more rank than possible
1970. CR is definitely wrong - over by at least 1.
  1971. This makes SR wrong.
  1972.
1973. pg 58, S’zara and Iggerath, the Two Queens
1974. Mostly identical to the Marilith entry in Bestiary 1.
1975. $Have at-will greater scrying on their slaves (below)
1976. Have +1 longswords (as opposed to the mwk longswords the Bestiary entry has), which are meaningless wealth bloat because of their Infuse Weapon ability
  1977.
1978. pg 58, Glabrezu Slaves of the Two Queens
1979. Mostly identical to the entry in Bestiary 1.
1980. Lost their summon and wish SLAs (despite being called)
  1981.
1982. pg 62, Lady Jezerael Della Torre, Countess of Montesano (Definitely Not Cheliax) (aristocrat 15)
1983. Really? Aristocrats this late? Moreover, FIFTEEN LEVELS OF IT??
  1984. 25 PB
1985. Adds DEX and CHA to Initiative (Noble Scion of War *replaces* DEX w/ CHA)
  1986. Fort is 2 over
  1987. Will is 2 under
1988. These could be resolved if Iron Will were Great Fortitude instead, but since they would have to make that mistake twice (she took Improved Iron Will) I doubt that was the real intention
1989. Ranged attack is 1 over
1990. CMB is 1 under (lost some compared to BAB despite having no negative modifiers??)
  1991. CMD is 2 under
  1992. 101/105 skill ranks
1993. Best guess: Didn't see Noble Scion grants +2 KN:nobility, and didn't upgrade Persuasive's Perception bonus at 10 ranks
1994. Not including her signet ring, she carries 64,602gp of wealth; 186% over what she should have, and still 19,602gp over heroic wealth (144%).
1995. And she's a non-combatant!! Why give non-combatants this much wealth and then give the creatures that are supposed to be a threat mere pennies?!
  1996. CR = HD-1
  1997.
1998. pg 64, Ygg and Yggotha, Sibling Spawn of the Primal Foulness
1999. Unique shoggoths, from Bestiary 1.
2000. Only thing unique is their ability "Twin Terrors": They effectively share their HP pool and they move on the same turn.
  2001.
2002. pg nice, Mana-Mitra and Amaratat, Planetars of Mitra
2003. Mostly identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
2004. Didn't change 'craft (any one)'.
2005. Gear melts away when slain (fuck off with this)
  2006.
2007. pg 71, Solomon Tyrath, High Inquisitor of Talingarde (inquisitor 20 of Mitra The Fire Undying)
2008. A solo inquisitor fight...a class that, without archetypes, benefits more than others from having allies. You had Spellbreaker available; what's better: teamwork feats you can't benefit from, or fucking blanket immunity to an arcane-casted school of spells? :thonking:
2009. Fits 25 PB, but with a catch: see wealth analysis.
2010. Stalwart isn't mentioned in defensive abilities
2011. Has 1 more 3rd and 4th level casts than he should
2012. No spell DCs are given
2013. Tactics mention usual judgements, but all modifiers are under by 1 (they just divided his level by their progression track, and forgot that they all start at 1. For example, Justice is 20/5, so they wrote +4.)
2014. Tactics also call a 1/target DC 30 Fort save or die 'potent'. Maybe against a living spellcaster, but if your party isn't all or mostly undead by now they've done something wrong.
2015. CMB is under by 3 (seriously, it's like an attack roll, BAB + STR; how do you fuck this up?)
2016. CMD is under by 5 (forgot Deflection)
2017. So, with a 30 Wisdom, you'd expect he'd specialize in casting: that's a pretty high ability score for a 6th level caster. Nope. Instead, one of his feats is fucking MARTIAL PROFICIENCY: GREATSWORD. Only one of his feats (Allied Spellcaster) benefits spellcasting directly!
2018. Also, he's an Intimimancer build, which is alright except he doesn't benefit from them being flat-footed beyond the (potentially) easier to hit AC. Also, the aforementioned 'party is probably undead' issue.
2019. Doesn't meet the Cha requirement for Intimidating Gaze (It's also a garbage feat: 1/day advantage on Intimidate? I'm pretty sure there's a trait that can do that.)
2020. Forgot -1 ACP from breastplate
2021. With what he's written as having, has spent 342,900gp. His stat line, however, requires him to have either an unwritten +4 WIS headband (16,000gp) or have read a +4 WIS tome (110,000gp).
  2022. w/Headband: 358,000gp (226% over heroic, but only 41% of PC wealth)
  2023. w/Tome: 452,900gp (285% over heroic, 51% of PC wealth)
  2024. CR = HD
  2025.
2026. pg 72, Naburus the Pit Fiend
2027. Identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
  2028.
2029. pg 73, Exuroth the Immolation Devil, Servant of Naburus
2030. Summoned, not called...yet is a unique creature with unique thoughts and goals. (The summon SLA is as summon monster.)
2031. Tactics imply that death would only banish him.
2032. $Properly lost his summon ability as a summoned creature.
2033. $Has a paragraph describing burn, the universal monster ability.
2034. Otherwise identical to the entry in Bestiary 2.
  2035.
2036. pg 75, **Sir Richard Thomasson the Redeemed Paladin (Paladin 19)
2037. Mostly identical to his original form from Book 5, pg 26, but with 2 more levels.
2038. See that entry for the errors committed there: I'm only mentioning what's different and erroneous in the added 2 levels.
2039. HE CASTS HOLY SWORD AGAIN INSTEAD OF USING HIS BOND. FUCK OFF.
2040. Didn't change his caster level at all
  2041. Missing a 3rd and 4th level spell
2042. They didn't give him the feat from hitting 19th level
2043. Skills didn't change at all
2044. Divine Bond is STILL written as +3 (is still +5.)
2045. Lay on Hands uses are 1 under
2046. Added a mercy from 18th level...which means he still has 1 more than he should.
2047. Gear is identical to original appearance - no longer fits within heroic wealth.
  2048.
  2049. pg 81, Brontes God-Hammer
2050. Identical to Bestiary 2's Elysian Titan.
2051. Didn't change 'craft (any)' or 'perform 'any'.
  2052.
2053. pg 81, Tassia of the Ghaele
2054. Brontes chose her with greater planar ally as opposed to an Astral Deva or a Planetar?
2055. Identical to Bestiary 1's entry for Ghaeles.
  2056.
2057. pg 83, **Bellinda of Talingarde ('unique half-dragon sorcerer 20')
2058. 'Unique' is probably not necessary here. She's already a pretty special snowflake.
2059. Impossible statline when this was released (her 40 Cha, specifically: The max mental stat before Chronicle of Legends was 36, and half-dragon adds 2 Cha.)
2060. This would make it impossible to determine her point buy, but if I just go for the maximum Cha possible, I can make it fit 25 PB.
2061. Draconic bloodline and half-dragon overlap massively, to the point where I would say half-dragon is only +1 CR.
2062. Has perfect flying maneuverability. Half dragon and draconic bloodline have average; even the fly spell only grants good. "Thanks to Bellinda’s unusual parentage, she has a flight speed even though she does [sic] manifest wings." Why does her dad being a king improve her flying ability?
2063. Lacks the bite weapon from half-dragon (and is implied to only be able to use claws a certain amount of time per day. Maybe the increased damage die and d6 cold, sure. But she has the claws regardless.)
2064. Ignores the breath weapon from half-dragon completely (understandable, at least: since Belinda lacks racial HD, by RAW, it doesn't do any damage.)
2065. Spell DCs aren't given at all (important for, say, her 'favourite spell' Meteor Swarm. DC 36, btw.)
2066. DC for form of the dragon 3's frightful presence is 2 over (they gave it the bonuses from Spell Focus: Evocation)
2067. Fiery Body letting her take half damage from acid and electricity is important to note (and it's the only important thing they don't note.) (Also, TIL that Fiery Body isn't a polymorph spell, so it works with Form of the Dragon.)
2068. In feats, Spell Perfection doesn't say what her chosen spell is. Only her tactics mention it being Cone of Cold.
2069. Tactics don't mention two very relatively expensive items she has: a 'potion' of Magic Vestments +5 (3,000gp), and a Staff of Power (235,000gp).
2070. CMD is under by 2 (Luck bonuses to AC are also applied to CMD)
  2071. Missing a feat
2072. Didn't apply maneuverability bonus to Fly (you gave her better maneuverability than she's supposed to then didn't even apply it??)
2073. 'Potion' of Magic Vestments? That should probably be an oil, but whatever. Also, you should probably actually use it??
2074. Why does she have a pouch of silver dragon scales? That's Form of the Dragon's material component, sure...but it's a non-costly component and thus unneeded when she's a sorcerer with Eschew Materials.
2075. If she has to actually *use* her wand of fireballs, she's already lost. Why bother? That 11k gp could be used for, I don't know, an ioun stone or something.
2076. Total price of gear (besides the unpriced signet ring and holy symbol) is 501,250gp. 315% of heroic wealth...but only 57% of PC wealth.
2077. This is...really sad, since, of the Big 6 that matter to sorcerers, she's still missing armour (bracers of armour go up to +8), a physical belt (Sure, Fiery Body gives a +6 enhancement bonus to DEX, but CON's the most important physical stat), a ring of protection (or any rings at all), and an amulet of natural armour (which I think is because they're morons who don't realize it's an enhancement bonus). Giving her the best variants of all of those is another 200,000gp, well within her available funds. It bumps her AC up from a useless 24 to a passable 38, gives her 60 more HP, and +3 on her Fort save.
2078. Nowadays, if you were to rebuild her? The only thing her capstone gives that half-dragon doesn't is blindsense 60ft. What's better: that, or another 8 Charisma?
2079. CR before template = HD.
  2080.
2081. pg 85, Antharia Regina the Silver
2082. Unique silver great wyrm. Originally from the pfsrd, since Bestiary 1 only goes over Adult, Ancient, and Young dragons.
2083. The pfsrd's only has one error: The BAB is typo'd (+39 instead of +29)
  2084. So, what's unique?
2085. She's wearing armour, for one: +5 mithral heavy fortification breastplate.
2086. The fortification ability isn't mentioned in her Defensive Abilities.
2087. Erroneous changed the CL of her SLAs to be the same as her sorcerer CL (nope: dragons have the CL of their SLAs equalling their number of Hit Dice)
2088. Didn't change the concentration check, though.
  2089. Changed some spells:
  2090. Gate to Imprison.
2091. Repulsion to Mass Cure Critical Wounds (whyyyyyy)
2092. Calm Emotions to Resist Energy
2093. Again, casts Greater Spell Immunity. She doesn't even have the excuse someone like Thorn would in that she would know the PC's modus operandi. Even then, you get to choose *four spells*, out of *HOW MANY?*
2094. Her 50 AC is remarked on as 'simply insane'...a well-built martial should have somewhere in the mid +40s to hit. Don't get me wrong, it's a high DC value, but they seem like it's nigh-impenetrable.
2095. Traded her two Vital Strike feats for Light Armor Proficiency and Arcane Armor Training, then gave her 2 extra feats (Arcane Armor Mastery and Medium Armor Proficiency)
2096. But it's *totally* okay because they at least marked them as bonus feats. /s
2097. You know, you could've replaced Quicken Spell, at least. Her swift actions will be taken up by Arcane Armor Mastery, anyway.
  2098. Didn't apply -1 ACP to skills.
2099. $A good change: they included the number of rounds that Paralyzing Breath lasts and its DC.
2100. Has she had her armour the whole time? If it were commissioned anywhere near Talingarde, the PCs would definitely hear about the mythical 234,400gp suit of armour for a dragon.
  2101.
2102. pg 86, Phaethysa of the Radiant Dawn
2103. 'Female Solar (of Mitra)'. Solars are from Bestiary 1. Mostly identical, except...
2104. Changed Etherealness to Greater Communal Spell Immunity (WHYYYYYYYYY)
2105. Her tactics are, uhh...messy in some places.
2106. And by some places I mean SHE CASTS FUCKING RESIST ENERGY (SONIC) Fucking FORCE is more prevalent than sonic is. And it's not like she wouldn't benefit from electricity or fire, either: her natural Resist 10, or the spell's Resist 30? :thonking:
2107. Implies only epic-classed weapons can penetrate Epic DR.
2108. Mythic Adventures wasn't out yet, so I can't fully blame them for this one since the complete clarification of how to penetrate DR/epic wasn't around until then...but the rules before that just required a +6 weapon, which is doable with Furious, Bane, or Greyflame. Given how much free time the PCs have and the opportunities for money, they *will* have these weapons. Bane especially, considering how many good outsiders they know they'll be facing.
  2109.
  2110. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  2111. BOOK 7 (Reminder: this came out ~July 2014, 17 months after Book 6):
  2112.
  2113. pg 34, *Dominik Vallison (middle-aged aristocrat 6)
2114. 16 PB; I can get him to fit 20 PB if they forgot the middle-aged modifiers
2115. Initiative modifer is over by 1
2116. Discrepancy between Perception in Senses and Perception in Skills (Skills is correct)
2117. CMD is 1 under (Forgot Dodge)
2118. Trait says his name is Zack. Probably just copied it from Book 1, where the person named Zack has the same trait.
2119. FCB is nowhere to be found
2120. Skills add up if they forgot the trait bonus to Bluff (meaning, because Bluff is already an aristocrat class skill, the trait was completely disregarded)
2121. Has a potion of "cure medium wounds" - assumed to be moderate
  2122.
  2123. pg 36, Teryth Caldwin (alchemist 7)
2124. Based off the Numerian Fluid Scavenger from Numeria, Land of Fallen Stars.
2125. I figured this out because the HP was right >_>
2126. Removed its 'addicted' quality, and the text of 'Latest Dose', but see below.
2127. $Gave it extracts (which the original NPC didn't have...even though their gear says so. Paizo can make mistakes, too.)
2128. $Languages changed, but still the same amount
2129. Tactics are identical to Dominik, above. Even including Dominik's name.
2130. The original erroneously put the 'Latest Dose' quality in the Discoveries section of their class features; this version didn't remove that particular part.
2131. In comparison to the base, has 4 daggers and 24gp; doesn't have:
  2132. 2 doses of acid
  2133. 6 darts
2134. 2 doses of giant wasp poison
2135. a plastic container w/ a pint of Numerian fluid
  2136. a mwk longspear
  2137.
  2138.
2139. pg 39, Caldwin's Creation ('unique' flesh golem, Bestiary 1)
  2140. What's unique?
2141. 'Berserk' became 'Poorly Bound Spirit'.
2142. This increases the percentage chance of going berserk tenfold: from 1% to 10% a round.
2143. It also increased the calming DC by 2.
  2144.
2145. pg 45, Grumblejack, Drunken Ogre (half-fiend drunk ogre fighter 1)
2146. Grumblejack from Book 2 (see that one for the errors there) with the Drunk template on the pfsrd (sourced to Book of Beasts: Monsters of the River Nations)
  2147. Didn't apply -2 to Initiative
  2148. In attacks...
2149. Didn't reduce claw damage from sickened
2150. Gave him a punch that's 3 under on attack, but 2 over on damage (didn't subtract the sickened penalty). Also should note that it would provoke AoOs.
2151. Didn't apply -2 to skills at all
  2152.
  2153. pg 45, Grumblejack’s New Friends (warrior 2)
2154. Fits within the basic NPC array
2155. FCB is nowhere to be found
  2156. 350gp left of basic wealth (90%)
  2157.
2158. pg 47, Sister Shera Rhaina (cleric 6 of Mitra The Beneficent Sun)
2159. 1st and 3rd domain spells are swapped
2160. If FCB went into skills, 28/30 ranks spent
2161. Assuming the priesthood robes are worth 10gp and the key is effectively worthless, still has 2,818gp of heroic wealth left (61%)
  2162.
2163. pg 50, *Brother Ezekiel Hawthorn, Human Form (middle-aged cleric 7 of Mitra The Fire Undying)
2164. I'm assuming the Lycanthropic template from the pfsrd is added. It's unsourced: my best guess is Bestiary 1, but I can't confirm that on the Archives since that takes me to the one from Horror Adventures for some reason.
2165. Got max HP on 1st HD! Holy shit!
2166. Doesn't note that his unarmed attack will provoke AoOs.
2167. CMB is over by 1
2168. CMD is over by 1
2169. Lacks gear besides his gold holy symbol and his basic clothes.
  2170.
2171. pg 51, *Brother Ezekiel Hawthorn, Werewolf Form
2172. Hoooooooo boy, did they fuck this up.
2173. The fluff around him is kind of messy.
2174. It implies that he transforms every full moon and has a good chance simply when injured of doing so. But it's only DC 15, and he has a +12 Will save; a 15% chance of failure. The only time there's no save is the *very first* transformation.
2175. It also implies the standard transformation is the hybrid form, but it's not....He actually has to force the hybrid form with a full-round DC 15 Constitution check, which he has a 40% chance to pass. Coincidentally, it's a full moon when the PCs first attempt to deal with him, giving him a +5 (+25% chance) to transform.
2176. Oh, disregard most of that: "[his] variety of lycanthropy causes to him change whenever he is under great stress or during full moons." Fuck off. If you're going to change it from the template, could you at least include that in a separate section of text as opposed to burying it in the middle of what's usually a common monster ability?
2177. How does he break out of the manacles? Normal, non-masterworked manacles are a DC 26 break check, which he can't make even with a natural 20. Mithral manacles, the recommended stuff vs lycanthropes, are a DC 30.
2178. Finally, his stats imply he's a natural lycanthrope, despite the fluff saying the exact opposite.
  2179. Treated as natural lycanthrope:
2180. Has DR 10/silver instead of the afflicted's DR 5/silver.
2181. Transfers the curse with his bite (this is something the pfsrd forgets a lot since it's the mythical norm, but Paizo's lycanthropes only transfer it if they're a natural lycanthrope)
  2182. Incomprehensible stat line.
2183. So, the hybrid form gets the best stat between the two creatures, then +2 Str and Con on top. So, if a basic wolf has Str 13, Dex 15, Con 15, he should have 15/15/17, right? NOPE. 20/12/15.
2184. Didn't change initiative from DEX increase
2185. Speed got reduced for some reason. Is it because this encounter assume he's encumbered by the manacles he just broke out of? Could you maybe mention that?
2186. CMB is under by 2
  2187.
2188. pg 55, Ripper (unique six-headed warden hydra)
2189. Warden Hydras are a variant given on the pfsrd, but it's not a Paizo variant. It's unsourced on the pfsrd, and googling it gets me nothing.
  2190. Based on the pfsrd's 6-headed hydra.
2191. Didn't include All-Around Vision in defensive traits.
2192. Regular AC is over by 1 (this is probably a typo)
2193. Has +1 Int over the base
2194. Has an absurd and dumb +10 racial bonus to Stealth
2195. Didn't apply -4 Size bonus to its Stealth
2196. Subtracted 1 from Swim to put a rank into Stealth...
2197. Except Swim didn't have any ranks in it. It was included in the stat block because some people might forget the +8 racial bonus from having a swim speed.
2198. $Has a unique -8 against Oil of Taggit (normally I'd consider this BS, but considering this is a MinionQuest section, I'll allow it. Commoner 4s need all the help they can get)
  2199.
2200. pg 64, Guardians of the Cellar (Caryatid column)
2201. I almost missed it since they misspelled it 'Carytid'.
2202. Identical to the entry from Bestiary 3.
  2203.
2204. pg 65, Zugrot Throatcutter (goblin rogue 4)
  2205. 15 PB
2206. Uncanny Dodge went completely unmentioned
2207. Shortsword attack roll is 2 under
2208. Shortbow attack roll is 1 under
2209. Both attacks use the Medium damage die for their weapons
  2210. 1 feat over
  2211. can be resolved...
  2212. 1 Rogue Talent under
2213. If they forgot to mention they took Finesse Training, this resolves this and the feat problem.
2214. Forgot size bonus to Stealth (Yes, goblins get a +8 to Stealth just by existing)
2215. Treated Ride as a class skill
2216. FCB is nowhere to be found
  2217. Forgot -1 ACP
2218. Still has 1,998gp of heroic wealth left (83%)
  2219.
2220. pg 67, Duke Martin of Daveryn (aristocrat 10/fighter 5)
2221. Identical to Book 4, pg 28, with two exceptions:
2222. His 'During Combat' section of his Tactics is different
2223. His Cure Light Wounds potion got upgraded to Cure Serious.
  2224.
2225. pg 73, The Stuffed Beast (zombie rift drake)
2226. Bestiary 3's Rift Drake with Bestiary 1's Zombie template
2227. CR is under by 1: Zombie explicitly lays out that CR is based on the creature's HD *after* adding the extra from the template.
2228. Still has the dragon type? Is labelled as "undead dragon". Not how that works. The template lays out that the whole typing should be "undead (earth)".
2229. Should have lost low-light vision, scent. Perception should be +0.
2230. Natural Armour is over by 11 (Natural Armour gets replaced with the template, not added to the base.)
2231. Fort and Reflex are under by 1
2232. Didn't give it its slam attack from Zombie
2233. Tail slap attack is under by 1
2234. CMD is under by 1
2235. Technically should lose any languages since it's now mindless
2236. Should technically include Climb and Fly skills since it has racial modifiers to them (+16 and -10, respectively)
2237. Should have kept the Savage Bite Extraordinary quality.
  2238.
  2239. pg 75, Clockwork Swarm
2240. Mostly identical to Tome of Horrors' entry.
2241. Only difference is that it has adamantine stingers.
  2242.
  2243. pg 75, Stone Golem
2244. Mostly identical to Bestiary 1's entry.
2245. Lacks the 'slow' special attack.
  2246.
  2247. pg 80, *The Thug (warrior 3)
2248. Gave him max HP on 1st HD (OH FUCK OFF; NOT ON NPC CLASSES!)
2249. Fits 20 PB...if they forgot the human racial bonus. 13, 17, or 18 PB otherwise.
2250. Assuming a padded club is just a non-lethal regular club, you can still two-hand it: Damage is under by 2.
  2251. Didn't add -7 ACP to Climb
2252. Besides the unpriced stuff (his lunch, a pretty flower, etc), has spent 270gp. Still has 510gp of basic wealth left (65%)
  2253.
  2254. pg 80, *The Aristocrat (half-elf aristocrat 3)
2255. Gave him max HP on 1st HD
2256. Fits 21 PB without the racial bonus; can fit 16, 18, or 19 PB depending on where the racial bonus is. (Also doesn't fit an NPC array)
2257. The section about roleplaying him implies he was around before the Victor, so he would be at least 80 years old. That's middle-aged for a half-elf.
  2258.
  2259. pg 81, *The Criminal (rogue 1/expert 2)
2260. If his first HD was expert, erroneously gave max HP on 1st HD
2261. 15 PB, or 20 if he put the racial into any other possible stat instead of DEX
2262. 23/22 skill ranks (best guess is that they erroneously let him take FCBs with both his classes.)
2263. Not counting the stolen badge he possesses, has spent 180gp. Still has 1,470gp of heroic wealth left (89%), or 600gp of basic wealth (77%)
  2264.
  2265. pg 81, *The Cultist (adept 3)
2266. Gave him max HP on 1st HD
2267. Adepts can conjure a familiar, but he doesn't have one.
2268. 7/9 ranks, if FCB went into skills.
2269. Has more ranks in KN: Religion than possible.
2270. With the cheapest lantern (since the type wasn't listed) and disregarding his ritual dagger and thumb screws, still has 507.2gp of basic wealth left (65%)
  2271.
2272. pg 82, *The Kid (rogue (knife master) 3)
2273. $Properly got max HP on 1st HD, like he's supposed to with non-NPC levels. (2nd time they got it right in the entire AP so far)
  2274. Fits 19, 23, or 24 PB. Doesn't fit an NPC array.
2275. Discrepancy in Perception bonuses between Senses and Skills (Skills is correct)
2276. Don't mention evasion in defenses.
2277. $Intentionally doesn't have much gear (28.6gp worth) to balance out the class levels
  2278.
  2279. pg 82, *The Archer (warrior 3)
2280. Got max HP on 1st HD (it's clear at this point that they did this because they thought *player* characters got max HP on 1st HD, rather than any character with a non-NPC level as their first HD.)
2281. Fits 13, 17, or 18 PB; fits 20 if they forgot the racial bonus completely.
2282. Longbow attack is under by 1 (forgot either mwk or Weapon Focus)
  2283.
  2284. pg 83, *The Bad Cop (rogue 1/warrior 2)
2285. First HD was Warrior, and they gave him max HP on it (No! bad!)
2286. Can only have 2 FCB, but has 3 (in his HP)
2287. Can't have a DEX mod to AC with normal splint mail (max DEX of 0)
2288. Didn't subtract -9 ACP from Sleight of Hand, Stealth
2289. Still has 1,037gp of heroic wealth to spend (63%)
  2290.
2291. pg 83, *The Farmer Who Is In Over His Head (commoner 4)
2292. Got max HP on 1st HD
2293. Only has 14.01gp worth of priceable items. I can excuse this for the Rule of Funny in this particular instance, though.
  2294.
2295. pg 93, **Sir Richard Thomasson, Fearless Vampire Hunter (paladin (undead scourge) 20)
2296. Because of the time between the last time they wrote Sir Richard and this iteration, I won't base my analysis here on any of his previous versions.
2297. Fits 26 PB at the lowest, but he can definitely afford one or more stat++ books. Hell, I think if I factored those in, I could get his PB to 15.
2298. Holy shit he got max HP on his 1st HD! Third time!
2299. Didn't include the immunity from compulsion effects from aura of righteousness.
2300. Longsword smite PA w/holy sword attack roll is 1 over
2301. Channel DC is 1 over
2302. Smite would only add 3 AC, since he already has a deflection bonus
  2303. Spells:
2304. Holy Sword is only better than using your Divine Bond is if you're wielding a non-magical sword. Holy Sword supersedes the weapon's bonuses for a total +7 enhancement, whereas Divine Bond adds to the existing bonus. AND YOU PREPARED IT TWICE?!? Instead of that, why not prepare, I dunno, Eaglesoul??
2305. I mean, FFS, you prepared Blade of Bright Victory which *needs your weapon to have divine bond active!*.
2306. Sanctify Armor is only going to add +2 to AC.
2307. Wait until combat starts before casting Prayer, please. It only lasts 17 rounds, casting it before combat is just wasting it. Especially since you're immune to it.
2308. Also, please prepare more than one Litany of Righteousness. I know it's going to be a low save, but if you were properly built, you could do more than 1,250+ damage in one turn: it's that potentially powerful. If you're really concerned about it sticking, get Bellinda to help debuff with a Threnodic Mind Fog or something.
2309. Bestow Grace on the sorcerer is a good idea, though.
2310. CMD is under by 4 (Deflection bonus again)
  2311. Missing a feat.
2312. Has 1 extra mercy (even beyond him having Extra Mercy)
2313. These two issues could be resolved if he took Extra Mercy twice, but they don't say so.
2314. Has spent 163% of heroic wealth, but only 29% of PC wealth
  2315. CR = HD
  2316.
2317. Out of curiosity, I did some experimental math. I gave him ...
2318. a +4 greyflame undead bane sword, which, with divine bond, can become a +5 greyflame holy speed undead bane weapon. This isn't *technically* possible since it's these make it a +12 weapon, but this is just theorycrafting. Removing Holy is the best option if you want to make it rules-legal.
2319. a phylactery of positive channeling (so 12d6 channel)
2320. Channel Smite instead of the shitty Cleaving Finish feats...but I was nice to the targetted undead and let them pass the save against it for half, since his DCs aren't great.
2321. A combined Bracers of the Avenging Knight + a Silver Smite Bracelet, which means his smite is 28, or 56 against undead
2322. The damage-increasing Big Six (+6 STR, mainly; his weapon is above)
2323. I assumed the poor undead about to be smote down failed the save against Litany of Righteousness, which was cast by a different person (a supporting Inquisitor, for example)
  2324.
2325. The spells + buffs would take 2 prior rounds with all the swift actions needed, and would take 4 uses of Lay on Hands, but once active he could continue against the same target (if it somehow survives) for 12 total rounds. Each new target would need a new smite and a new Litany.
  2326.
  2327. Base d8 + greyflame d6 + Bane 2d6 + Holy 2d6 + saved Channel Smite 12d6 = 43 avg
  2328. STR 7 + Smite 56 + PA 12 + Magic 8 + Average die 43 = 126
  2329. x 2 from the Litany = 252
  2330. x 5 successful hits (BAB + haste) = 1260 damage
  2331.
2332. pg 95, *Cardinal Adrastus Thorn, Vampire Lord of Talingarde (vampire sorceror[sic] 20)
2333. Fits 25 PB assuming a base 10 Con. Could be lower depending on the tomes he's read: see wealth analysis. *Needs* to have read a +5 Cha tome.
2334. Gave him max HP on his first HD! At this point, I can say it *wasn't* a fluke! They did learn! (Way too late, but whatever)
2335. Forgot the DR 5/- from the undead bloodline capstone
2336. Has 3 extra grave touch uses over what he should
2337. Doesn't include the (Greater) Spell Focus benefits on blindness/deafness, ray of enfeeblement, and bleed.
2338. CMD is under by 5 (Deflection and Dodge)
2339. Didn't increase Alertness' bonus at 10 ranks
2340. Subtracted 2 from Stealth to pay for something else...but that puts him into negative ranks.
2341. With what's explicitly given, has spent 174,400gp: 110% of heroic wealth, 20% of PC wealth.
2342. With the implicit-but-not-stated +5 Cha tome, this almost doubles, to 311,900gp. Still 35% of PC wealth.
2343. He could reasonably buy a +4 Dex and a +4 Wis tome; each reduces his point buy by 5, but buying both brings him up to 531,900gp (60% PC wealth) Since he's a final boss, I'd respect if they went over PC wealth by a bit...but this under? At 15 point buy? The fuck you doing?
