  1. [07:17:07] Making his way through the forest as a usual part of his daily schedule, Echo paces in a stance that suggests that he's on guard; his right hand rests upon the hilt of the blade, which is inside the scabbard on his hip, and the left hand remains free - in case the magics are to be cast upon something, or even someone. Constantly eyeying his surroundings, he has learnt so far to be careful around those forests, since one could be caught off guard if they're to lose the focus.
  2.
  3. But eventually, he finds himself coming across the duo - a youth and an older woman. Stopping in his tracks, he dares not advance further, and merely casts a gaze upon the two; the pair of icy grey eyes observe them to take on their appearance, perhaps also to read the intention and their purpose in here.
  4.
  5. Though, his looks suggest the type of character that has seen quite a lot of battle - the scar on his face is a clear testimony of that, and the equipment he has seems a tad worn, armor specifically; it has dents and damaged pattern on it. He bears the marks of war and vicious fights despite the age of teenagehood, soon to mature into adulthood.
  6. (Echo)
  7.
  8. [07:19:40] Feora wasn't quite expecting the Oscuri boy to come at her with such force! She tries to defend herself, panicking for a second as she shoots off a sound wave and unleashes her cacophony. Her illusion isn't worth much, and while panicked she forgets to just blind him.
  9.
  10. Feora raises her hands in surrender, sending away the clone.
  11. "See? You're very adept with the sword." She smooths over a bit of her torn yellow cloak with illusion, hiding the damage...
  12.
  13. She becomes aware fast of another. This one is older at least. She prepares herself for another fight, thinking of the mana she will need to unleash a sound wave, and calling up her clone.
  14. (Feora Summertone)
  15.
  16. [07:29:04] Narrowing his gaze upon Feora, he notices the subtle hints of her preparation for battle; he could even discern that she's going to do a spell, having practised cognitive magic himself, one that requires sheer willpower and thinking of your magic. He could recognize the technique, having done it himself a plentiful of times.
  17.
  18. The grip on the hilt of his blade tightens. He wasn't certain if she's truly going to attack him, but he wasn't taking any chances of dropping his guard and letting her have an easy pre-emptive strike, if she really planned to do so, but he made no first move himself. Echo only stared back at her, under assumption that she's going to attack and he'd have to fend off for himself.
  19.
  20. Assuming that she wouldn't still attack him at this point, he spoke out and adressed to her.
  21.
  22. "I'm not here to fight. You do not need to be like this."
  23.
  24. Though, he remained on his guard, in case she'd not listen to him. It's better be safe than sorry, after all, or at least Echo believed so.
  25. (Echo)
  26.
  27. [07:55:31] Feora shrugs. "I would not attack someone randomly." She sounds just slightly bitter saying this, a look in her eyes. Her magic is released as a string of notes. The clone hangs close to her though.
  28.
  29. "Do you need something?" She is a little kinder saying this, her voice returning to how it is usually. She poofs a cheek out, looking to the Oscuri.
  30. (Feora Summertone)
  31.
  32. [07:59:47] Shaking his head as a negative response for Feora, his stance somewhat reduces the tension that could be seen from it's expression; he's still on guard, but not actively preparing himself for assault from another.
  33.
  34. "You never know around those places. People tend to attack even without any apparent reason." - he spoke, as exclamation towards her remark.
  35.
  36. Examining her appearance for another moment, he soon answers her second question. Echo mostly speaks in a monotone voice, without display of any possible hints for his intention here.
  37.
  38. "No, I do not need anything here. Did I interrupt a training of sort?" - he asks.
  39.
  40. And with that question, he cast a brief glance upon Oscuri youth, whom seemed to take a brief leave from the scene for now. Without much delay, he reverted his attention back upon her, inspecting her both reaction and further speech.
  41. (Echo)
  42.
  43. [08:04:03] Feora presses her will upon the illusion she had created, changing the colour of the hair and dressing it in different clothes. She cast a few musical notes around it before shrugging and taking a few steps away from it to make sure that her attention is focused on the one adressing her.
  44.
  45. "That was my concern also. I'm not training the youth either... I offered." She shrugs and shakes her head.
  46. "He's more suited to the sword."
  47. (Feora Summertone)
  48.
  49. [08:10:01] "Magic is not for everyone," - he spoke, - "and it's a powerful thing to wield... or deny. No wonder he was interested in it, despite the fact that it's not really his thing."
  50.
  51. But Echo grew silent. His icy grey eyes trailed upon her for a thorough inspection from head to toe; his gaze seemed skeptical upon the mention of her offering to train him, since he wasn't even sure she could teach him much, even if she wanted to. But deciding to not comment on that, he spoke further.
  52.
  53. "You should beware of the local Yokai. Long they have claimed this forest as their area of passage, and you can be caught in their clutches, unless you're confident in your awareness to not get caught."
  54.
  55. A word of warning escaped his mouth. His ear lightly reacted to the sound in the air, and his brows were tugger together, both in attentive listening and in surprise; it's a rare sight to see the magic of Sound, and he took his time observing how it seems to be like, since he had such opportunity right now.
  56. (Echo)
  57.
  58. [08:19:24] Feora laughs softly, her power is more than enough to deal with some Yokai... The others can be distracted with illusion. She shakes her head. "I will be having no issues with those creatures, I assure you."
  59.
  60. Noticing the attention given to the musical notes, she grins. She opens her mouth and sings a single note, creating a sustained note, then pumps it full of mana, keeping it alive even when she stops singing it. She then begins to layer and layer and layer more notes onto it, holding the sounds together and bowing, with a small wink. Her loss of attention causes the clone she had turned blue to return back to it's usual colours and shape, looking very much like her.
  61. (Feora Summertone)
  62.
  63. [08:27:05] "That is easy to say, until you come across Kaor Lord - or worse, two of them at once."
  64.
  65. Echo spoke out, though the last words he mentioned sounded a bit off, with the hint of irony to it and the tone that sounds as if he's speaking out of own experience. He listens to the music in the air, displaying a distant, but a partially apparent interest to this type of magic - or at least how it sounds and looks like.
  66.
  67. But the moment she begins to sing, his eyes widen a bit. He remains silent, with his expression only suggesting that he's both amused and astonished by it. Neither his age nor his looks suggest that he had much of a chance to have a moment to listen and hear something other than war cry in the battle and undisturbed silence of practice for magical techniques.
  68.
  69. And it doesn't seem like took the winking gesture properly either, only squinting upon it and failing to provide anything in return to it; he found no words or appropriate expression for it. But to not come off as a completely socially inept individual, he speaks next:
  70.
  71. "Your voice is beautiful. I like it." - said Echo with a casual tone, but he followed it up with a small curve of his lips. He's not good at acting nice, but he's trying.
  72. (Echo)
  73.
  74. [08:32:12] Feora smiles in appreciation. She holds up the notes with mana, leaving her able to talk and cast other spells. "I try my best, thank you." She seems a bit tired.
  75.
  76. She stands there awkwardly, not fully sure what to say. She really wants to get back to trying out new stuff and reading, perhaps. She loves reading while she should be doing other stuff... She realises now after the Oscuri had so easily brought on her surrender that she perhaps needed a few more tricks to defend herself with.
  77.
  78. "Come now, show me your power..." She says this with a coy smile.
  79. (Feora Summertone)
  80.
  81. [08:36:28] Without waiting much, he raised his hand upon her request for a display of own magic; but just before he'd do that, he stopped. Something came up on his mind after re-thinking the action he was about to do, and he exclaimed:
  82.
  83. "Are you sure?"
  84.
  85. He spared a glance of concern in her direction, though that concern was not aimed at her only; a keen, perceptive eye could discern that there's something that bothered Echo with the idea of displaying his magic, for one or another reason. Whereas he wasn't afraid to show it, per se, he was rather reluctant to do so, as if he wasn't meant to.
  86.
  87. And his hand freely returned back to the original place. He gazed upon her, awaiting the answer to his question.
  88. (Echo)
  89.
  90. [08:40:44] She nods her head insistently. She loves watching how others manipulate their mana, it can't hurt to do so, and watching others can only help her improve. Like how reading more about magic could help her improve... Which she should really be doing now, which is what she promised herself she would be doing now.
  91.
  92. "It'll be a learning experience! I love watching others show off my magic, and I love showing off my own. I think it's helpful when I'm trying to improve myself, you get what I mean?" She waves a hand, condensing sound into a visible blue shaded note. She waves the hand again to send it floating away, bobbing in the air softly.
  93. (Feora Summertone)
  94.
  95. [08:49:16] Thinking over the situation he's in, he pondered: 'Cannot be symbolic magic... the trace will be too significant. Perhaps cognitive..' - and he gazed before himself. A small inhale followed through his nostrils, and he took a moment to free his mind once more - after all, this interraction could end up to be a nice practice of cognitive magic as well, being a rather advanced technique overall that even experienced Magi might struggle mastering sometimes.
  96.
  97. 'Calling... Concurrence and Occurence...' - a thought passed his mind, reminding of what he read about earlier.
  98.
  99. Blotting out his mind from any external source for now, he cleared himself from any emotion, any passion - the usually "loud" symbolic magic is not a factor here, leaving little to no trace for a keen eye and ear of another Magi. Freeing his mind from any excessive information or processes, he allowed the flow of mana inside his consciousness, fueling the natural circuit within his body; that was the advanced technique of magic, one that encouraged usage of magic through sheer willpower, without assistance of symbolic magic that is easier and works upon your emotions and current state as a fuel.
  100.
  101. 'Concurrence..' - another thought passed his mind.
  102.
  103. The visualization began for him. Slowly picturing the large water beam before him, he narrowed his gaze upon the area infront of him. It was the matter of time as the circuit of mana passed through his consciousness.
  104.
  105. 'Occurence.' - the final memory crossed his mind.
  106.
  107. Unleashing his mana against the tree infront of him, he conjured the water infront of him out of nowhere and launched it ahead in a powerful beam of water as display. It bashed against the tree with significant force, but Echo reduced it away to not damage the tree.
  108. (Echo)
  109.
  110. [08:54:24] Mallroth creeps through the forest, resting his hand upon the pommel of his dagger. He's still weary from earlier's training but, instead of going back to the city, he decided to roam the thickets and contemplate.
  111.
  112. The boy's eyes meet the trio that's stood in the open and, as a first instinct, he immediately hops behind a tree to examine the situation furthermore. Mallroth's eyes narrow as he first focuses on the two feminine figures in the distance before locking his gaze upon the young male. He arches his eyebrow slightly as he recognises the figure as his brethren, said speculation having been confirmed by the beam of water which Echo just shot.
  113.
  114. Mallroth rests his shoulder against the tree before lowering himself on one knee. He does his best to remain hidden, observing that which unfolds.
  115. (Mallroth Eklund)
  116.
  117. [08:56:57] Seeing no point to stay here anymore since Feora left already, Echo pivots on his feet to turn around and walk towards town. Along the way, he casually adjust the scabbard of his sword that hangs on the hip, walking in a moderate pace.
  118. (Echo)
