  1.
  2.
  3.
  4. Ground -> Missile -> Flying -> Heavy
  5.
  6. - Some projectile attacks are more accurate from a certain camera angle.
  7.
  8.
  9.
  10. Chapter 17
  11. ---------------------------------
  12.
  13. - Gaia (2): 1 (def) + 12 + 25
  14. × The second one can safely be exhausted during phase 1.
  15. - Treant (4)
  16. × C appears once A or B has been exhausted.
  17. × D appears once you trigger phase 2.
  18.
  19. - Woodings for Beastmen.
  20. - Tortoishells are okay.
  21. - Flyers for phase 2.
  22.
  23. Phase 1
  24. - ~10 Beastmen: Ground
  25. - 4 Special units
  26.
  27. Phase 2
  28. - Roget (and anyone else near the Mana Stone) will be in a bad position.
  29. - Lots of soldiers. Don't seem to be Ground.
  30. - Let your Gatherers get killed to free up space.
  31. - Once the soldiers are gone, expect Heavy units.
  32.
  33.
  34.
  35. Chapter 18
  36. ---------------------------------
  37.
  38. - Gaia (3 = 62) = ~67
  39. - Treant (3): 8 (def) +
  40.
  41. - No enemy base.
  42.
  43. Phase 1
  44. * Encounter the Black Dragon
  45. - Heavy units
  46.
  47. Phase 2
  48. * Defeat the Black Dragon. The NPC knight should be able to handle it.
  49. - More Heavy units.
  50.
  51. Phase 3
  52. * Dock at the new anchor point.
  53. - Endless waves of Heavy units.
  54.
  55.
  56.
  57. Chapter 19
  58. ---------------------------------
  59.
  60. - Gaia (3): 5 (def) +
  61. - Treant (4): 8 (def) +
  62.
  63. - A shitstorm.
  64. - Mostly Heavy and Missile units.
  65.
  66.
  67.
  68. Chapter 20
  69. ---------------------------------
  70.
  71. - Gaia: 5 (def) + 12 +
  72. - Treant: 8 (def) +
  73.
  74. Phase 1
  75. * Encounter the enemy.
  76. - Exhaust Gaia A (12), Treant A and Treant B now (60 in total).
  77.
  78. Phase 2
  79. * Defeat Celestan.
  80. - Wait for about an hour for the enemy to use up all the resources.
  81. - A decent mix of everything. Four Tortoishells should be enough. Form
  82. up around the tree near your base, and things will go smoothly until you
  83. need to take on Celestan.
  84. - If you completely ignore the fact that Celestan can single-handedly
  85. wipe out your entire party within seconds, this mission isn't that bad.
  86. - Anyway, Celestan starts off in great position with 3 Special Skull units.
  87. None of them like to follow you, so you can try using a hit & run strategy
  88. with Falcon.
  89. - Once Celestan is close to your base, throw a bunch of Machine Golems at him
  90. and hope for the best. Only Lead units can damage him properly, though.
  91.
  92.
  93.
  94. Chapter 21 - Bukka Sea
  95. ---------------------------------
  96.
  97. * Collect 30 Gaia Stones
  98.
  99. - Gaia (4): 9 + 9 +
  100. × NW (A, 9), S (B, 9), NE (C, 12+), SE (D, ?)
  101.
  102. - Items: next to the first statue, in the middle of the ocean between
  103. the two ships, north wall in the ocean
  104. - Fixed units only: 5 Leads, 3 Tortoise Shellies, 3 Sky Dragons, 3 Golems,
  105. 3 Big Babies, 3 Bebes, 2 Lizardons, 3 Tonpoles
  106. - Big Babies can easily take down Booskaboos. These guys will eventually
  107. return to animation, though, until you blast them with the warp cannon.
  108. (10 stones each)
  109. - The enemy ship will start sending constant reinforcements upon making
  110. first contact: Ape Mummies (Ground), Demons (Heavy), Specters (Flying).
  111. × The flow stops once you've killed about 50 of them.
  112. - Send a Big Baby into the ocean as soon as the mission begins. Move along
  113. the shoreline back towards your ship. One of the zombie Vuscavs *will*
  114. probably end up engaging you, but that's nothing you can't handle. Just
  115. make sure you stay away from the enemy ship.
  116. - Elena is hanging out near Gaia C, but you should be able to sneak past
  117. her if you're careful and snatch those stones.
  118.
  119.
  120.
  121. Chapter 22 - Pedan
  122. ---------------------------------
  123.
  124. * Destroy the Guldrea
  125.
  126. - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 9 +
  127. - Treant (4): 11 (def) + (~300 from A & B)
  128.
  129. - Items: behind Treant A, a bit south from Gaia B, 1 tile south from
  130. the enemy base (NW anchor)
  131. - You have precious little time before the enemy strikes your base
  132. and slaughters you.
  133. - After the first big attack, you're facing mostly Basilisks (Ground)
  134. and Crawlers (Heavy).
  135. - Using a flyer, you might be able to lure Inath to the edge of the
  136. elevated area, at which point you can attack him (from the water),
  137. but he can't attack you (works on Baxilion too).
  138. - Moving your base may result in the enemy doing the same.
  139. - Try leading a couple of Duck GIs through the water, so you can snipe
  140. the enemy.
  141.
  142.
  143.
  144. Chapter 23 - Forest of Illusions
  145. ---------------------------------
  146.
  147. * Destroy the Mirror Shards
  148.
  149. - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 25 + 10
  150. - Treant (3): 11 (def) + 50 + 50 +
  151.
  152. - Items: behind Treant A, in the middle of the river between the Gaias,
  153. near the north anchor
  154.
  155. - No enemy base.
  156. - Take care of Treant A right away.
  157. - Head for Gaia A next, on the other side of the river. There are
  158. enemies nearby, though, so you'll have to babysit your harvester.
  159. - Gaia B will be easier.
  160. - The mirror shards have specific type alignments and will endlessly
  161. spawn enemies of their type. Take them out quickly.
  162.
  163.
  164.
  165. Chapter 24 - Mirage Palace
  166. ---------------------------------
  167.
  168. * Defeat the Mirage Bishop
  169.
  170. - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 10 + 10 = 25
  171. - Treant (4): 11 (def) + 20 + 20 + 30 + 50 = 131
  172.
  173. - Items: Next to Gaia A, next to Treant C, in front of the Mana statue
  174. behind the bishop.
  175.
  176. - No enemy base.
  177. - The enemies will pop up from every entrance of the map once you
  178. get within visual range of the bishop. Gather all the available
  179. resources before that, and make sure you're as prepared as possible.
  180. - All types are covered here, and you're also looking at 4 skulls.
  181. - Pumpkin Heads will blow themselves up for massive damage.
  182. - Treant D is in a fairly awkward position (in the water).
  183. - A group of Heavies supported by a couple of Flyers and Missiles should
  184. be able to take out the bishop right away.
  185.
  186.
  187.
  188. Chapter 25 - Mirage Garden
  189. ---------------------------------
  190.
  191. * Lead Roget to the Mana Sword
  192. * Defeat the Mirage Bishop
  193.
  194. - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 9 + 40
  195. - Treant (3): 11 (def) + 100 + 50 + 75
  196.
  197. - Items: Next to Treant A, NE corner, in front of the Goddess statue in the
  198. middle
  199.
  200. - No enemy base.
  201.
  202. Phase 1
  203. - The Mana Sword is right ahead of you near the center of the stage. Do NOT
  204. go there until you've finished harvesting and so forth!
  205. - There's a Dark Dragon in the north, who will fly off and descend after
  206. you take out half of his HP.
  207. - 2 Skulls in the northwest. Use ranged units.
  208. - Baxilios and Inath plus 2 demons in the southwest.
  209. × Try and snipe them from the water with Dendens and Mallards.
  210.
  211. Phase 2
  212. - The enemy gets 5 pairs of reinforcements who will charge you after a while
  213. - The Bishop has a respawning barrier that sucks in about 12 hits.
  214. - A single Denden should be able to take out most of what's-his-face's HP.
  215. Once he reaches critical HP, he'll try to regenerate his health with the
  216. Goddess statue in the middle (he can fly, by the way). Have a group of
  217. Missiles (Mallards & Dendens) and a Sky Dragon waiting for him.
  218.
  219.
  220.
  221. Chapter 26 - Mirage Castle
  222. ---------------------------------
  223.
  224. * Defeat the Mirage Bishop
  225.
  226. - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 19 + 50
  227. - Treant (4): 11 (def) + 50 + 75 + 50 + 100
  228.
  229. - Items: Behind Treant D, NW corner, NE corner
  230.
  231. - No enemy base.
  232. - Can't move the Nightswan.
  233. - The mirrors you encounter can only be damaged by specific units.
  234. 1. Flying
  235. 2. Ground
  236. 3. Missile
  237. 4. Heavy
  238. - Taking on the last mirror will also draw the attention of Baxilios
  239. and Inath. Be prepared.
  240.
  241.
  242.
  243. Chapter 27 - Sea of Chaos
  244. ---------------------------------
  245.
  246. * Defeat Baxilios
  247. * Defeat Anise
  248.
  249. - Gaia (4): 5 (def) + 25 + 25
  250. - Treant (4): 11 (def) + 50 + 100
  251.
  252. - Items: SE corner, NW corner, NE corner
  253.
  254. - No enemy base.
  255. - Killing enemies gives you berries in this mission.
  256. Dark Wisp (Missile): 2
  257. Dark Dog (Flying):
  258. Dark Eye ():
  259. Baxilios Clone: 3
  260.
  261. Phase 1
  262. - Get the resources from the west and east. Forget about the northern
  263. corners.
  264. - Use Rabites as sacrificial scouts. This won't provoke the enemy at all.
  265. - Once again, your best bet is to snipe Baxilios with Dendens.
  266.
  267. Phase 2
  268. - Once Bax is down, Anise will emerge and immediately assault you.
  269. - Once she's close to death, you'll have to finish her off with the
  270. Mana Sword.
