- Ground -> Missile -> Flying -> Heavy
- - Some projectile attacks are more accurate from a certain camera angle.
- Chapter 17
- ---------------------------------
- - Gaia (2): 1 (def) + 12 + 25
- × The second one can safely be exhausted during phase 1.
- - Treant (4)
- × C appears once A or B has been exhausted.
- × D appears once you trigger phase 2.
- - Woodings for Beastmen.
- - Tortoishells are okay.
- - Flyers for phase 2.
- Phase 1
- - ~10 Beastmen: Ground
- - 4 Special units
- Phase 2
- - Roget (and anyone else near the Mana Stone) will be in a bad position.
- - Lots of soldiers. Don't seem to be Ground.
- - Let your Gatherers get killed to free up space.
- - Once the soldiers are gone, expect Heavy units.
- Chapter 18
- ---------------------------------
- - Gaia (3 = 62) = ~67
- - Treant (3): 8 (def) +
- - No enemy base.
- Phase 1
- * Encounter the Black Dragon
- - Heavy units
- Phase 2
- * Defeat the Black Dragon. The NPC knight should be able to handle it.
- - More Heavy units.
- Phase 3
- * Dock at the new anchor point.
- - Endless waves of Heavy units.
- Chapter 19
- ---------------------------------
- - Gaia (3): 5 (def) +
- - Treant (4): 8 (def) +
- - A shitstorm.
- - Mostly Heavy and Missile units.
- Chapter 20
- ---------------------------------
- - Gaia: 5 (def) + 12 +
- - Treant: 8 (def) +
- Phase 1
- * Encounter the enemy.
- - Exhaust Gaia A (12), Treant A and Treant B now (60 in total).
- Phase 2
- * Defeat Celestan.
- - Wait for about an hour for the enemy to use up all the resources.
- - A decent mix of everything. Four Tortoishells should be enough. Form
- up around the tree near your base, and things will go smoothly until you
- need to take on Celestan.
- - If you completely ignore the fact that Celestan can single-handedly
- wipe out your entire party within seconds, this mission isn't that bad.
- - Anyway, Celestan starts off in great position with 3 Special Skull units.
- None of them like to follow you, so you can try using a hit & run strategy
- with Falcon.
- - Once Celestan is close to your base, throw a bunch of Machine Golems at him
- and hope for the best. Only Lead units can damage him properly, though.
- Chapter 21 - Bukka Sea
- ---------------------------------
- * Collect 30 Gaia Stones
- - Gaia (4): 9 + 9 +
- × NW (A, 9), S (B, 9), NE (C, 12+), SE (D, ?)
- - Items: next to the first statue, in the middle of the ocean between
- the two ships, north wall in the ocean
- - Fixed units only: 5 Leads, 3 Tortoise Shellies, 3 Sky Dragons, 3 Golems,
- 3 Big Babies, 3 Bebes, 2 Lizardons, 3 Tonpoles
- - Big Babies can easily take down Booskaboos. These guys will eventually
- return to animation, though, until you blast them with the warp cannon.
- (10 stones each)
- - The enemy ship will start sending constant reinforcements upon making
- first contact: Ape Mummies (Ground), Demons (Heavy), Specters (Flying).
- × The flow stops once you've killed about 50 of them.
- - Send a Big Baby into the ocean as soon as the mission begins. Move along
- the shoreline back towards your ship. One of the zombie Vuscavs *will*
- probably end up engaging you, but that's nothing you can't handle. Just
- make sure you stay away from the enemy ship.
- - Elena is hanging out near Gaia C, but you should be able to sneak past
- her if you're careful and snatch those stones.
- Chapter 22 - Pedan
- ---------------------------------
- * Destroy the Guldrea
- - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 9 +
- - Treant (4): 11 (def) + (~300 from A & B)
- - Items: behind Treant A, a bit south from Gaia B, 1 tile south from
- the enemy base (NW anchor)
- - You have precious little time before the enemy strikes your base
- and slaughters you.
- - After the first big attack, you're facing mostly Basilisks (Ground)
- and Crawlers (Heavy).
- - Using a flyer, you might be able to lure Inath to the edge of the
- elevated area, at which point you can attack him (from the water),
- but he can't attack you (works on Baxilion too).
- - Moving your base may result in the enemy doing the same.
- - Try leading a couple of Duck GIs through the water, so you can snipe
- the enemy.
- Chapter 23 - Forest of Illusions
- ---------------------------------
- * Destroy the Mirror Shards
- - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 25 + 10
- - Treant (3): 11 (def) + 50 + 50 +
- - Items: behind Treant A, in the middle of the river between the Gaias,
- near the north anchor
- - No enemy base.
- - Take care of Treant A right away.
- - Head for Gaia A next, on the other side of the river. There are
- enemies nearby, though, so you'll have to babysit your harvester.
- - Gaia B will be easier.
- - The mirror shards have specific type alignments and will endlessly
- spawn enemies of their type. Take them out quickly.
- Chapter 24 - Mirage Palace
- ---------------------------------
- * Defeat the Mirage Bishop
- - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 10 + 10 = 25
- - Treant (4): 11 (def) + 20 + 20 + 30 + 50 = 131
- - Items: Next to Gaia A, next to Treant C, in front of the Mana statue
- behind the bishop.
- - No enemy base.
- - The enemies will pop up from every entrance of the map once you
- get within visual range of the bishop. Gather all the available
- resources before that, and make sure you're as prepared as possible.
- - All types are covered here, and you're also looking at 4 skulls.
- - Pumpkin Heads will blow themselves up for massive damage.
- - Treant D is in a fairly awkward position (in the water).
- - A group of Heavies supported by a couple of Flyers and Missiles should
- be able to take out the bishop right away.
- Chapter 25 - Mirage Garden
- ---------------------------------
- * Lead Roget to the Mana Sword
- * Defeat the Mirage Bishop
- - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 9 + 40
- - Treant (3): 11 (def) + 100 + 50 + 75
- - Items: Next to Treant A, NE corner, in front of the Goddess statue in the
- middle
- - No enemy base.
- Phase 1
- - The Mana Sword is right ahead of you near the center of the stage. Do NOT
- go there until you've finished harvesting and so forth!
- - There's a Dark Dragon in the north, who will fly off and descend after
- you take out half of his HP.
- - 2 Skulls in the northwest. Use ranged units.
- - Baxilios and Inath plus 2 demons in the southwest.
- × Try and snipe them from the water with Dendens and Mallards.
- Phase 2
- - The enemy gets 5 pairs of reinforcements who will charge you after a while
- - The Bishop has a respawning barrier that sucks in about 12 hits.
- - A single Denden should be able to take out most of what's-his-face's HP.
- Once he reaches critical HP, he'll try to regenerate his health with the
- Goddess statue in the middle (he can fly, by the way). Have a group of
- Missiles (Mallards & Dendens) and a Sky Dragon waiting for him.
- Chapter 26 - Mirage Castle
- ---------------------------------
- * Defeat the Mirage Bishop
- - Gaia (2): 5 (def) + 19 + 50
- - Treant (4): 11 (def) + 50 + 75 + 50 + 100
- - Items: Behind Treant D, NW corner, NE corner
- - No enemy base.
- - Can't move the Nightswan.
- - The mirrors you encounter can only be damaged by specific units.
- 1. Flying
- 2. Ground
- 3. Missile
- 4. Heavy
- - Taking on the last mirror will also draw the attention of Baxilios
- and Inath. Be prepared.
- Chapter 27 - Sea of Chaos
- ---------------------------------
- * Defeat Baxilios
- * Defeat Anise
- - Gaia (4): 5 (def) + 25 + 25
- - Treant (4): 11 (def) + 50 + 100
- - Items: SE corner, NW corner, NE corner
- - No enemy base.
- - Killing enemies gives you berries in this mission.
- Dark Wisp (Missile): 2
- Dark Dog (Flying):
- Dark Eye ():
- Baxilios Clone: 3
- Phase 1
- - Get the resources from the west and east. Forget about the northern
- corners.
- - Use Rabites as sacrificial scouts. This won't provoke the enemy at all.
- - Once again, your best bet is to snipe Baxilios with Dendens.
- Phase 2
- - Once Bax is down, Anise will emerge and immediately assault you.
- - Once she's close to death, you'll have to finish her off with the
- Mana Sword.
