✿ | PERSONALITY : Alex is a very persistent person ; once he has his mind set on something, there's no chance of changing his mind or getting him to stop. He's completely sure of the choices he makes, no matter how crazy they might be. If you attempt to stop him, he won't hesitate to fight you.
Because Alex is so persistent, his choices are often made according to his impulsiveness. He rarely thinks before acting on something, neither does he think before speaking. Due to this, a lot of what Alex says can sound or come off as rude and crazy, even though he doesn't mean it (sometimes). He can also make the craziest of choices at any time, yet most of them somehow go well since it's his gut feeling.
When you first meet Alex, you immediately notice that he's extremely sarcastic and bitchy. He's silent, has a poker face, and making smart remarks all the time. He's not talkative when you first meet, and it'll probably stay that way unless you somehow become friends with him. If you are able to become friends, he becomes more open and talkative. Though he gets crazier as she warms up to you. Making jokes, and pointing out anything anyone says that's relatively stupid, he's pretty fun to hang out with.
Once Alex warms up to you, he'll support you 100%. He tends to be very loyal toward his friends, but if they don't return the favor, he'll drop whoever he needs to in an instant. And there's no chance you can earn his trust back. Any decisions anyone makes in his friend group (as long as it's reasonable and not stupid - he'll gladly point out if the idea is completely idiotic) he'll give her absolute support.
Even though Alex seems very loyal on the outside - which he is, don't get me wrong - he tends to be suspicious of those he isn't very close to. Yes, he'll consider them friends or acquaintances, but on the inside he's most likely plotting their death if they do anything to harm anyone. Everyone is oblivious to how suspicious Alex thinks some people are, and will only tell those he trusts if anyone is somewhat threatening.
Back to his impulsiveness, Alex tends to low-key roast everyone. All of his comebacks are immediate, original, and are said without thinking. He has fiery comments, can and will fire back instantly, and are most of the time done unconsciously.
Because of his past relationships, Alex has major trust issues. It takes a lot and it's hard gain his trust, but it's very easy to break it, also. He's in dire need of people who will surely stay in his life, due to his parents and background. And because of his trust issues, Alex also has anger issues. If anyone crosses him, he's the first one to get revenge - not without a special warning, though. When he's in her revenge mode, everyone around him is on guard, and making sure to be extra nice to him.
Which leads to Alex having a pessimistic view on life. Because of his background, he thought life was a game that no one could win at ; everyone loses. But he cares enough about others to make sure they keep living, and that they don't die. If they were to die, it'd be like his situation with his background all over again.
✿ | BACKGROUND : Alex grew up with doctors as parents, but it wasn't as cliched as you think. His parents weren't strict, and supported Alex and his younger sister, Drew, fully. They were a very happy family, and always were loved by one another. Alex grew up like any other normal child would ; happy, diligent in school, and loved by his family. But everything suddenly took a dark turn when Drew was involved in an accident. She was diagnosed with a coma, after she had been taken to the hospital - the day of her 15th birthday. She had been out with her friends, when a drunk driver had been speeding, half conscious through traffic. Alex's world was shattered ; he was extremely close with his sister, and not knowing whether she'd wake up or not was something he didn't want to come to terms with. When he had asked his parents if they could get her to wake up, them being doctors and all, he was infuriated to hear that there was nothing they could do about it. Alex was angry at himself for thinking they could fix her, but even more angry at the fact that they were doctors who couldn't do their job ; save people. He moved, not being able to live with his family anymore. But he goes back to the hospital every year on Drew's birthday to visit, without telling his parents. The rest of his friends also are unaware that Alex has a sister in a coma.
