[20:54] +Lusch: I need to focus on real life and university and only casually play tours (even if that means peasounay has no opponent ;P)

[20:54] ~Disaster Area: yeah... I'm enough of a slacker irl / I've got enough natural talent to not spend as much time and energy as everyone else for sufficient results irl

[20:55] +Lusch: game 1 was a hard one
[20:55] ~Disaster Area: and I'm good at predicting, etc. that sort of thing, at least in metagames i know inside and out
[20:55] ~Disaster Area: but I'm absolutely crappy at playing optimally lol
[20:55] ~Disaster Area: especially in endgames
[20:55] +Lusch: had you continued on that level...
[20:56] +Lusch: but it looked (and tbh felt to me) like I was in control and would win 3-0
[20:56] ~Disaster Area: yeah I don't have the stamina to keep it up over long sets too well either
[20:56] ~Disaster Area: yeah it looked and felt that way to me too
[20:56] ~Disaster Area: g1 was interesting
[20:56] ~Disaster Area: felt i had the team to make it work but I couldn't force
[20:56] ~Disaster Area: a good situation for me
[20:56] +Lusch: but Pokemon is just RG based so everything can turn as we saw
[20:56] ~Disaster Area: well, not entirely, but yeah
[20:56] ~Disaster Area: it is a game of luck amongst other things
[20:56] +Lusch: well you played like a demon

[20:57] +Lusch: you weren't
[20:57] ~Disaster Area: so I must have been doing something right
[20:58] ~Disaster Area: and game 4 like I felt even though
[20:58] +Lusch: it was a back and forth
[20:58] ~Disaster Area: I had a really good team matchup (I built that team whilst playing g3 at the start bc i realised moth was good vs you)
[20:58] ~Disaster Area: and even so
[20:58] ~Disaster Area: I had real trouble
[20:58] ~Disaster Area: closing that game out
[20:58] ~Disaster Area: even though I managed to manufacture an advantage
[20:58] +Lusch: well the vapo crit on dewgong helped
[20:58] ~Disaster Area: yeah definitely
[20:59] +Lusch: that I was even in a position where I could dream of someho winning that game
[20:59] ~Disaster Area: it was a case of like it was hard turning an advantge in momentum into an advantage in pieces
[20:59] ~Disaster Area: by the end
[20:59] ~Disaster Area: in 1U I don't have that trouble because BULL
[20:59] ~Disaster Area: lol
[20:59] ~Disaster Area: so it's an untested skill for me

[21:00] +Lusch: well in 3U you can make way better plays
[21:00] +Lusch: and if they work u have advantages bigger than in 1U
[21:00] ~Disaster Area: 3U is a really bulky meta and in a way I feel like especially in those games like... we got a sense of just how much room there is for creative and skillful play in the meta
[21:00] +Lusch: but if they fail u are in trouble
[21:00] +Lusch: really fast
