  1. Minimum Qualifications
  2. Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  3. 1 year or more of UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals
  4. 1 year or more of coding skills at an advanced level
  5. Ability to learn new development languages (PHP, Python, C++, and Java are all in heavy use)
  6. Ability to learn new software, frameworks and APIs
  7. Ability to perform 'guerrilla capacity planning' for internet service architectures
  8. Knowledge in large-scale internet service architectures (such as load balancing, LAMP, CDN’s), even if you haven’t worked on one
  9. Configuration and maintenance of applications such as Apache, Memcached, Squid, MySQL, NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, and SNMP
  10. Detail oriented
