Drowning in the ocean of memories
Joyful reminiscence of days gone by
Lost in my deluge of unshed tears
Here I heave a lachrymose sigh

Meandering along brooks and buddleia
Nostalgia burkes my hopeless form
Reduced to a ghost of what I used to be
Here I lie naked in the storm

Brimstone roses seem to mock me
Taking me back to the good days
Why did I forsake my love?
Here I repose in this haze

The rain absolves my transgressions
Relieving me of the pain inside
Drawing away the conscious soul
Here I feel the agony subside

Disembarrassed water cleanses my blood
Giving me vigour to rise from ashes
The heavens cry, pouring their all
Here I see my life pass in flashes…
