For the past month, a disease had wracked the province of Mordencrast. If you can call it that. Under normal circumstances, this would normally be thumbed under just yet another 'unfortunate' part of the already dreary, rumor-shadowed land. With whispers ghosts, ghouls and other untold horrors skulking through the woods at night, what could possibly be vile enough to warrant the attention of adventurers beyond those?

Simple. It's spreading. It's getting worse. It first began with sightings at the coastline; marine creatures, beaching themselves upon the stands with coral, bony growths suffused into calcified hide. Teal blood ran through organs pulsating with a channel of bioluminescent veins, and the first creatures of the 'Coral Curse'. It only took a few days before the rest of the endemic wildlife began sharing these features.

Worse yet, they're driven to madness. These coral creatures are only beginning to multiply. Bears are being twisted into slavering, hulking monstrosities, creatures as harmless as deer have become rampaging chargers that rip and tear through anything in their frenzied path.

And here you are! A bunch of lowly upstart adventurers, off to do a little beast hunting. The question is, will you all get to the bottom of this?
