  1. Aelar is a planet recently re-descovered by the imperium by inquisitor Golman Adanis in 985.M41. The world had recently (within the last 20 Terran Years) recovered from a large scale civil war, and 2 primary powers controlled the world; The Kazlan Republic, and the People's Republic of Drantonia. A cold war had been occurring at the time of their discovery, though the planet willingly joined the imperium, and their moon was occupied by members of the mechanicus due to an semi-intact STC on the world that held the schematics for the rather, Unique, wargear used by the nation-states. Both used, and still use autoguns, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and flamers, but use of "exotic" weapons such as plasma and meltaguns are unheard of, and Superheavy tanks are non-existent as well. To make up for their lack of more modern technology, they utilize several patterns of vehicle they are very familiar with, including a type of VTOL flier that is used to hunt tanks. While the munitorum has pushed for the world to abandon their own patterns in favor of more common guardsmen wargear, the Adeptus Mechanicus has surprisingly defended the Aelarian patterns due to their connection to this world's untouched nature and possible finds of new STCs. Dispite their isolation from the wider Imperium, the Aelarians are relatively accepting of most abhumans, with minority populations of Ratlings, ogryn and, it rumors are to be believed, a group from the world of Carlos McConnell. The most widely used tactics by mechanized forces begin with Tanks and other heavy support shelling the area that is to be advanced into, and following the cessation of fire with a rapid advance of infantry in APC/IFV transports, which unload soldiers close to the foe, which then advance with their troops to provide fire support while tanks proceed to advance. The tactic is referred to by Aelarian tacticae Command as “The MeltaLance” (Previously known as a Shaped charge advance). Air support is called in on a need-to-use basis, and is called in by a squads’ Vox operator. Squad composition among almost all Aelarian infantry is as follows:
  2. 1 Squad superior officer, usually a Sargent armed with a carbine type autogun.
  3. 1 Squad-Automatic-Gunner, which is a soldier armed with a “Light Stubber” (A light machine gun). This weapon has a unique advantage in the fact that it utilizes the same caliber ammunition and magazines as the rest of the squad’s standard weapons, and thus ammunition can be shared between squad members.
  4. 1 Anti-Armor soldier armed with a “Rocket Propelled Grenade”, which is a type of rocket similar to a krakk rocket, but slightly more effective against infantry.
  5. 7 Infantry armed with autoguns, grenades, close combat weapons, and other gear. One of which is a designated Vox operator. All members of the squad are trained with at least the basics of each others weapons and gear so that if the designated user falls in battle, the squad is capable of continued use of their weapon.
  6. Specialist squads include:
  7.
  8. Special forces: Veteran soldiers armed with specialized weapons and trained in stealth operations and infiltration
  9.
  10. Tank Hunters: Teams of 4 soldiers armed with guided anti tank weapons, 1 per pair (HK missiles)
  11.
  12. Urban Shock Troops: Veterans and regular infantry who went through special training armed with carbines, shotguns, Submachine guns, and ballistic shields for breaching.
  13.
  14. Engineers: Combat engineer squads armed with grenade launchers and flamers.
  15.
  16. Aelarian Guardsmen equipment
  17.
  18. Akrovin pattern Autogun: The Akrovin pattern autogun is a pattern unique to the Aelar STC database. The origin of it’s design lie in pre dark age mankind, more specifically speculated by mechanicus explorators to have been initially created as early as around .951 M2. The rifle comes in a few different calibers, with 7.62x39 being the most common, followed by 5.45x39 and 7.62x51. It is made using steel, and until recently, wood for its grip, stock and handguard. In more recent times, the wood has been replaced with a cheap and durable plastoid composite commonly referred to by locals as “bakelite”, due to it’s light weight and that the composite is hardened into shape by baking in intense heat. Magazine sizes for the rifles are 20 Rounds, 30 Rounds, 45 Rounds, and 75 Round Drums. 20 round magazines are issued to soldiers with extra gear and equipment such as Vox operators and vehicle crew. 30 round magazines are standard issue for almost all infantry, and the 45 and 75 round magazines are issued to Squad Automatic Gunners. All magazines are made so that any rifle of the same caliber can use them, regardless of size. Known variations of the rifle include a carbine variant, issued to airborne troops and squad leaders, an integrally suppressed rifle, and an LMG.

  23. RPG V7: The Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher, version 7 is a light Anti-vehicle weapon issued to dedicated Anti tank infantry and to tank hunter teams as a back up weapon. The grenades are loaded at the muzzle of the weapon, and lock into place with a twist of the warhead. The warhead itself is mounted on a rod of solid propellant in a duel stage configuration, with stabilizing fins that deploy once the second stage begins. The grenades fired come in various different forms, from long and thin shrapnel grenades for emergency anti infantry use, to thermobaric warheads.

  28. Konkursi Anti-Tank Guided Missile: Issued to tank hunter teams, the Konkursi ATGM is a wire guided missile which can penetrate even baneblade armor if the target is hit in the side. The launcher fairly easily reloadable in the field during combat, providing a massive edge over regular hunter killer missiles used by Astarties and the inquisition. Tereskovsky tanks are able to load the missiles, and fire them from their main gun.
