- [23:53] Caddock Emlyn says, "Sit down with us Kyrelise."
- [23:54] Kyrelise Wes'morei says, "Eh? Oh, right."
- [23:54] Huatli Khan says, "I don't bite, often."
- [23:54] Caddock Emlyn says, "Ahaha"
- [23:54] Kyrelise Wes'morei says, "I don't bite either, but...well, there was one time I almost did~."
- [23:55] Huatli Khan says, "Almost? What on earth held you back, it's only natural to dive into one's more atavistic nature from time to time."
- [23:56] Kyrelise Wes'morei says, "Well, the poor boy was just being nice after all...and I didn't really want to permanently freak him out."
- [23:57] Huatli Khan says, "Non-sense, nothing is more healthy for a young lad than to be bitten. Why, when I was a youth I was bitten daily, made me the man I am today."
- [23:57] Kyrelise Wes'morei asks, "...what were you bitten by?"
- [23:59] He said, while covered in bruises, gashes, stitching, an scars. He'd give a chuckle at the question.
- "I'm a Nagual of the Olmec. I was bitten by serpents, wolves, other Nagual, numerous insect species. It's a tradition to build toughness. Though I think the my peers also simply enjoy taking a go at me."
- (Huatli Khan)
- [00:03] Having taken a seat on the bench, Kyrelise would bounce up and down on it a bit, possibly causing annoyance to the other two seated with her. Still, she did seem interested in what Huatli had to say, and regarded him with a curious gaze.
- Looking him up and down and closely observing what she could see, which was quite a lot. Noting the multiple scars that covered the barely armored man's body, she'd hum a bit.
- "I can see that~. Although, the patterns on your skin...they almost look like they're deliberate. Some of them, anyway."
- Shrugging a bit, Kyrelise would keep her eyes on Huatli, curious to see what his reaction would be.
- (Kyrelise Wes'morei)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:05] Caddock Emlyn says, "I think i'll take a nap here. Kyrelise feel free to ask Huatli questions regarding Gehenna. Wise warrior he is."
- [00:05] Kyrelise Wes'morei says, "Hm? Oh, right. I'll try not to wake you. Rest well."
- [00:09] Would bring his mythril hand up, pointing to the geometric scarring. He'd follow the pattern for a while as he spoke finally having it return to the it's original spot, creating what appeared to be a bird now that he'd drawn it out of the shapes.
- "Yes, a great deal of my wounds are self-inflicted. They are offerings of blood to the spirits and my ancestors. I further honor them by cutting the wounds in certain patterns. The one I'm outlining I gained when I learned how to soar like a bird."
- As he spoke he'd smile, the dour faced he kept normally shifting away.
- "Of course, I've gotten better at treating my own wounds with practice and training. I'm nearly a trained healer, I simply lack the rite of passage into those respected ranks."
- As he spoke he'd point out from oldest, and worse appearing, to the newest stitches, and best looking, scars. A clear sign of his talent at healing going from allowing nature to heal him to taking an active hand.
- (Huatli Khan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:15] Following Huatli's hand as he traced the scars, noting that he had a mithril arm, she'd smile a bit and nod. As she continued to watch him, she drew a notebook out from her jacket and flipped it open to a fresh page. Taking a pen from the spine of it, she'd start to scribble on the page as she continued to watch and listen to Huatli.
- "I see, I see...interesting that you would offer your own flesh to the gods and whatnot, instead of offering other things as most people seem to do. But, it makes sense to me in a way, even though I really have never followed religion."
- Humming to herself for a moment and tapping at her chin, Kyrelise would raise her brows a bit as Huatli stated that he wished to be a healer. A smile came across her face and she nodded, shifting in her seat so she could face him fully. Crossing her legs and setting the book down in between them, she was thus able to keep writing and also get a good look at him.
- "A healer? You definitely don't look the type, but then again, I've never judged from appearances. Still, most interesting indeed..."
- If the page that she was writing on was glanced, Huatli would see that she had wrote his name on the top of the page and had started to scribble down various notes about him, as well as a quick sketch of the bird that he had traced.
- (Kyrelise Wes'morei)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:22] Had notice the scribbling, yet he made no signs of discomfort. In fact the taking of notes was something he'd done often. It was a good way to ground oneself in the present. He smiled, it'd also helped him gain a good friend.
- "The Olmec were subjugated by the Atl generations ago, we lacked the strength to wage war and take other's to use as sacrifice. So, began the rite of bloodletting. When our elders hit their fiftieth winter, they are sacrificed to the wraiths."
- As he spoke he'd smile, showcasing the row of neatly filed teeth between his canines. They were filed in such a way that they interlocked neatly.
- "I am what my people need, when I was young Tecochitlan was in ruins. We needed warriors, and so that is what I became. I then noticed we needed healers, so I began to learn. I wished to give more than a sword arm and strong backto my people."
- As he spoke he'd frown, he'd given all yet here he was now. Not within Tecochitlan but Huangzhou. Before he could settle into that thought he'd roll on to the next.
- "Is there anything else you are curious about?"
- (Huatli Khan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:32] Seeming pleased that Huatli was an eager or at least neutral subject to her own studies and didn't seem to mind her scribbling, she'd start to hum a bit as she wrote. Not loud enough to interrupt his talking, but more just to use up the free brain space that she still had left.
- "Ah, I see...why didn't you just sacrifice something like food or animals? Or is your god not pleased by such sacrifices, and demands only the blood of sentient beings? And their fiftieth winter? Goodness, that seems rather young to be sent to die...although, then I suppose that you would be spared of the pains of aging. Although that would only give me another twelve years to live, hm..."
- Stopping her writing and seeming to take special note of Huatli's smile, Kyrelise's bright blue eyes widened a bit and flashed with curiosity as she then started to sketch a surprisingly accurate facsimile of his smile. As they had been talking, he could probably feel Kyrelise access her mana circuit, and when he had smiled, the pulse of her mana could be felt greater. A grayish mark began to grow across her left eye, shimmering a bit as it grew around the area of her eye, giving it a slight discoloration.
- "Such a nice smile...anyway, that makes a lot of sense to me. Most people these days are so damn worried about being strong and slaying things that healers and scholars are relatively rare. At least that's what the case seems to be in my experience~. Hence why it's always exciting to find people like you and Caddock, since you both seem to be cut from a different cloth than most of the simpering brutes that wander around."
- Giggling more to herself than anything, Kyrelise then would clap her hands together, another flash of curiosity coming through her eyes. Her tail swished behind her excitedly and her ears started to flicker around as she stared up at Huatli, her gaze gaining a certain piercing feeling to it. It was almost like she was trying to pull everything out of Huatli that she could simply by using her gaze...he'd be able to feel a bright curiosity nearly emanating from her as she looked at him.
- "Oh, there are so many things that I'm curious about~! I'm curious about your faith, your people, your culture...really, I just want to know anything about you that you're willing to share. And, if you have any questions about me, feel free to ask as well~."
- (Kyrelise Wes'morei)

- [00:55] The warrior ran a hand through his hair, it felt different than the traditional style he'd worn a few months ago. Something about that was odd to him. Yet, here was something he'd always enjoyed. An eager mind wanting to hear what he had to say. He'd taught many people about many things, though admittedly it was Gehennan things. He was a bit tired, as a soft yawn escaped his lips. He'd do well to provide a bit more information.
- "I'm weary but allow me to answer a few of these questions before I retire for the night. The Olmecs are a bit different than the other tribes. How do I say this, my people never developed agriculture. To this day in Gehenna they live the life of a hunter, the traditional way. I said fiftieth but that is only if they survive that long. Often those who were wounded or got sick would be sacrificed as well. We didn't have animals or food to give, but the spirits must be fed leastthey go mad and turn into wraiths. The wraiths must be fed least they go on a rampage."
- As he spoke he'd reach his hand up to his chest, lightly touching the religious token of Ixhel. Idly he ran his finger along the orichalcum eye.
- "My people are simple, the tribe and clan mean everything. Don't mistake what I say for callousness. We bled ourselves for our ancestors who had to go before us. Sadly the blood given freely without death was never enough to satiate the spirits and wraiths within our lands.
- After he'd spoke he smiled, bringing up a clawed finger to point at the interlocking teeth. Very similar to a shark when looked at closely.
- "Not all Olmecs file their teeth in this pattern. Most who do file it in honor Ixhel. The great panther who owns the Nagual. I however chose to have it filled like this to honor Yama and Inki, you see as a boy I found a Siren baby, his parents had died to Swuisarme. This boy was adopted into my clan and raised as my younger brother. Chaaca Khan if you ever meet him in your travels, he's a good natured youth. As I was saying, I had mine filled to demonstrate my devotion to the cursed twins and their people. Though, I still adhere to the old ways, should I slay a powerful warrior or finish a great hunt I am bound to consume them and absorb their mana.
- After he'd explained the signifigance of his teeth the warrior would lick his lips. Digesting his thoughts for a few moments, not one to simple speak without consideration.
- "The priest is an interesting man, he's my respect for taking up the word. He's my blade for his honor and aid given to me. Perhaps, I'll have to get my book, my new one, to you. It explains the cosmology as seen by the Olmec. Incorporating the Angels and totems in harmony to craft the world.
- He'd bring a hand to his face, covering a chuckle as he thought about it. Perhaps a bit giddy, the man was famed as a warrior but it was the scholarly pursuits that excited him.
- "I will take you up on your offer, though my experiences with Kitsune until now have been negative. Most having been lazy vagabonds, apologies not to offend. Merely offering the truth of my experience. You've got a voracious thirst for knowledge that I can respect. So, when next we have a chance I will tell you more of what you'd know and you can tell me more of what I'd wish to know. How does that sound?
- (Huatli Khan)

- [01:02] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
- [01:16] Watching everything that Huatli did with intense scrutiny, Kyrelise's gaze would go blank sometimes as she seemed to observe something with greater detail, but it was apparent that she was still listening to every word that he had to say. Everything seemed to excite her, and she was hardly able to keep herself still as he went about explaining some of his past and the ways of his people.
- Pausing her writing for a moment after he had spoken first of his people and how they had never managed to develop agriculture, she tapped at her chin with the end of her pen, curious eyes looking at him intensely.
- "I see...so you were chiefly hunter gatherers? There's nothing wrong with tradition, really...I find it fascinating though. It would make sense though, especially if your people were chiefly nomadic, which I assume they were, given how packs of animals migrate and the like.
- But you would also offer up the wounded or the sick? Most interesting...and harsh. Truly survival of the fittest I suppose...after all, you don't want angry wraiths after you. Especially if those wraiths happened to be your family..."
- Letting out a soft cooing sound as she thought for a moment, Kyrelise went back to scribbling in her book as he went about explaining more about himself and his people. She was almost in a trance at this point as she happily devoured the information that was offered to her by Huatli. Every little thing that he said held significance to her, since it all helped to expand her knowledge of the world as a whole.
- And that was what she desired more than anything.
- "It's unfortunate that the wraiths were never satiated by small amounts of blood, though I can see why they wouldn't be. Interesting..."
- Pointing her pen towards his teeth, she'd smile a bit, tilting her head at him ever so slightly.
- "So that is also a ritual? Most interesting...I can't imagine filing your teeth would be pleasant. But then again, you seem accustomed to pain and the like. I'll have to keep my eyes and ears open for this Chaaca Khan. If he's half as interesting as you are, I'd like to meet him~. The Sirenians are quite interesting, from what I've been able to observe of them. I still wonder what happened to Remy...
- Anyway, so you consume the flesh of those that you slay? Most interesting...I can't say I've ever heard of such things. Even vampires rarely fully consume their prey. I found them to be quite boring actually..."
- Chuckling and rocking back and forth in her seat for a moment before resuming her writing and listening, Kyrelise also began humming to herself again.
- "Hm? Oh, you mean Caddock? Yes, he is most interesting...a child, taking upon his shoulders rewriting and practicing the whole of a religion...it's almost inspiring. Definitely the most interesting person I've happened upon in quite some time...I do hope that he proves to continue to be interesting."
- Nodding a few times, she'd then smile brightly at Huatli and scoot herself a bit closer to him. Reaching out, she'd try to gently lay a hand on his face and trace a thumb along the top of his lips, her intent not quite clear.
- "You are also a most interesting man, Huatli...yes, I would love to read your book. If you rewrite it, do let me know. I'd love to peruse it. I may have to compile my own thoughts as well so you can read them...and yes, your proposal does sound agreeable. And, well, I'm not a kitsune, but I can understand the confusion. I'm actually an Ookami~. Though, I did fill the role of being a vagabond for quite some time..."
- Grinning at Huatli and making a point to show off her sharp canines, Kyrelise's tail swished about happily behind her and her ears tilted towards Huatli. If he had let her, she'd still keep her hand on his face, almost seeming to try and physically familiarize herself with his features.
- "But yes, anything you want to know about me in the future, I can try to tell you. And oh, don't worry about having offended me...I'm quite hard to offend, really. I just merely exist on the winds of my own whimsy and wonder, and I'm quite happy that you seem to have been caught up in them as well."
- (Kyrelise Wes'morei)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:26] Didn't flinch at the touch, it wasn't as if such actions brought discomfort. Though, he'd wrinkle his nose a touch at the information that she was Ookami. He'd always had a personal hard time telling the dog and fox apart. It was something that irked him. Yet, it was the way of things. There was nothing to be done but work on noticing the differences.
- After a few moments, he'd reach up to his face and take the Ookami's hand in his own. Not harshly, but firmly, he'd simple lower it, returning it to the woman. His head tilting curiously for a heart-beats breath as he pondered something.
- "Due to circumstances I foolishly brought upon myself, I will be in Huangzhou for some time. You've no need to force yourself to memorize me yet, I'll be around the city. Aiding where I can, learning what can be taught."
- He'd offer a smile, at the end, clearly enjoying his chance to learn for once.
- "InTecochitlan I am simply known as a Brave, a warmonger eager for the battle. It is. . . Nice to be able to be more than what is needed here in Huangzhou."
- (Huatli Khan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:34] Kyrelise seemed pleased that Huatli at least let her touch his face and didn't swat her away. She was always interested in being able to feel someone, even if it was only for a short time...a simple touch could tell one a lot about the other after all. A lot of people would be uncomfortable when she entered their personal space without invitation, but the fact that Huatli neither seemed uncomfortable nor rebuked her was rather interesting and new.
- As her hand was returned to her, she'd smile placidly, not seeming offended in the slightest and in fact looking quite pleased. Quickly scribbling a few notes down, she had been curious as to why had had looked momentarily irked.
- "Oh? Well, don't worry, I'm not forcing myself to memorize you. I try to familiarize myself with people as much as I can before they disappear...most people that I know in my life have been very transient, either claimed by death or otherwise disappearing.
- And I myself live around here out of purely circumstantial means, since for the longest time I was homeless, though I have now found myself gifted with a home even after my sweet Madlin was executed and her home was summarily repossessed..."
- Sighing and frowning, a deep, almost volatile sadness could be seen in Kyrelise's intense gaze for a moment at the mention of the name 'Madlin'. But it was only momentary and was quickly replaced by the normal passionate curiosity.
- "Anyway...well, I look forward to seeing you around more at any rate. I want all the companions that I can get...the last period of my life has been far too lonely. I just hope that people stick around for once, or I stick around, as it may be. But yes, welcome to Huangzhou~. I can usually be found around here fairly easily, though at rather odd times."
