- Dodongo's Cavern No Doors
- I can't make the video until Monday so here's the gist of it.
- Requirements:
- - Kill barinade
- - Hammer
- - Song of Storms
- - Bolero
- - Bottle
- - Hookshot
- Steps:
- - Clip into the Talon house in Kakariko and set FW, savewarp to leave
- - DHWW to laboratory with with fish and hookshot on X and Y
- - Bottle on B (Nothing is required to RBA but you could maybe do egg to get wallet for Giant's Knife to get sword on B again
- - OI and play bolero (have fish in bottle B, bombs and hookshot on X and Y)
- - Glitchless groundjump and OI to get a fairy from the gossip stone
- - Open the SoS grotto with OI and DHWW
- - Leave the grotto
- - Glitchless groundjump and invincibility glitch hookshot jump off vines near gossip stone to get oob on the western wall
- - Go south past the loading zone and megaflip over to the eastern oob wall
- - OI while above the gossip stone to get a fairy and unlock inventory
- - Void warp to jabu boss (FW and bombs on X and Y)
- - Zombie sidehop to the left after 2 seconds from spawning in
- - Navigate the oob collision around the room without falling or clipping in bounds
- - Megaflip into the the loading zone that leads to Jabu
- - Kill KD (either need to save before void warp to get sticks on B or OI here to equip hammer
- Explanation:
- So the really cool thing about this trick is the double DHWW in my opinion. Playing bolero takes you out of DHWW so if you entered and left the grotto normally, you would spawn in Death Mountain Crater with the room and coordinates of getting caught by guards in Castle courtyard. By doing a second DHWW, you remain at Hyrule Castle when you exit the grotto and reactivate DHWW after having canceled it previously.
- Some of the steps could be cut out like bottle on B if you managed to megaflip into the fence around the mote but doing that in DHWW is incredibly challenging and frankly not worth it.
- If you did this setup without the second DHWW and instead placed FW directly in Jabu boss, this would allow you to set FW in Jabu from Jabu Boss which would wrong warp to King Dodongo the same way. However, the room number and coordinates would be bad which could be fixed with a reverse DHVW but all of the rooms and coordinates for those options are bad as well.
- Also entering the blue warp plays the Ruby CS like normal and wrong warps to market afterwards. Maybe we could end up chaining this somehow in a route to make things fast?? Idk yet.
