The one where Tae writes Adam's concerns off

Alexithymiaa: -Adam sat at the kitchen table with a plate of chicken and rice in front of him, his fork held loosely in his right hand, his eyes staring down into the textbook sitting on the table next to his plate. Lifting a piece of cut chicken into his mouth, he chewed politely with his mouth closed, not taking his eyes off his reading.-
Covet: Tae made her way downstairs. She been up in her and Hayley's room watching netflix on her phone while she was texting with Drew. Tucking her phone into her pocket as she turned the corner she saw Adam there eating and Studying. " Hey Adam. How's it going?" She asked making her way over to the fridge to stare aimlessly into it for the answers of the world.
Alexithymiaa: (Thats what the fridge is for.)
Alexithymiaa: -He glanced up from his textbook to see Tae coming around the corner, sending her a small smile as he placed his fork down on the edge of his plate. "Pretty good, just catching up on some studying. I've done so much basketball lately I haven't given my reading enough time. How about you
Alexithymiaa: ?"-
Covet: "Pretty good. Haven't been too busy since I got back and all. Almost caught up on my homework that I missed though." She told him, then grabbed a soda out of the fridge because caffiene. "You doing good with Basketball?" She asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, for the most part. I'm not really the tallest so I have a lot of practicing to do to make up for that, especially considering I never really played before." He paused, watching her get her soda from the fridge. "So... everything is okay then, right?"-
Covet: "That's cool, but you said you've been practicing so you'll only be getting better." She told him then popped the tab on her drink, "Yeah? Of course it is." Tae said with a dismissive shrug.
Alexithymiaa: "I just know everyone was really worried about you for a while there. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. We didnt really know where you went or anything..." He trailed off, phishing just a little for more information.-
Covet: "Yeah..." She said a little sheepishly. "I'm sorry for worrying everyone. I'm okay now. It was kind of scary in the moment. But I'm okay now. I promise." She said with a smile. " I talked to Hayley about it on Sunday. She was kind of asking too, though I don't think she was really comfortable with the story."
Alexithymiaa: "Well... I didnt exactly hear the whole story if you wouldn't mind telling it again. Just to ease my mind of course. We all care for you Tae." He sent her a warm smile before picking up his fork again, scooping up some rice into his mouth.-
Covet: "Yeah, I know. and I really appreciate it." She said pulling her hands into her sleeves. " So the guy, that I was going to bring over that one night? Well.. he came over and was trying to get physical with me, when I didn't want to. Then he got... really physical with me. I called the only person I could think of that would be able to chase the guy off. Drew... I didn't want you guys to be worried or anything, so he took me back to his place and looked after me until I was feeling better." She said then reached up to grab the necklace, that she was constantly idly playing with.
Alexithymiaa: -He listened closely to her reciting the story, chewing on the inside of his cheek. "I don't intend to be condescending because i know in a panicked state things are different, but didnt you think maybe 911 would have been more appropriate?"-
Covet: Tae looked a little embarassed, "Everything just happend so quick. And it's not like I was hurt that bad. It's fine. Plus I did file a statement with the police, so if he happens to come back around and try anything again, they'll have reasonable cause to bring him in." She said then nodded, "But Yeah, that should have been who I called. But I didn't and things are still fine. Everything is okay."
Alexithymiaa: "Well I'm glad they are. I know things can be tough under pressure like that so by no means do I hold it against you. We're just all glad you're safe. Maybe next time you should remember to take your phone with you when you leave for a few days." He said with a smile, eating more chicken.-
Covet: Yeah, me too. I don't anticipate anything like this happening again. I completely spaced my phone in the moment everything was so chaotic." She said lying like a dog as she smiled back at him.
Alexithymiaa: "I really hope nothing like this happens again. And now you know that, that guy is bad news." he pushed up from the table with his plate, walking it over into the sink to leave there for the time being. "Are you hungry? I have some leftover chicken."-
Covet: "Mhhm." She said agreeing with Adam then shook her head, "I ate earlier but thanks for offering. And thanks for being understanding and not as judgemental I know that everyone thinks of Drew as a bad guy, I was honestly expecting some serious shunning from you and Hayley for having called him first."
Alexithymiaa: "Well I'm not going to lie and say that Drew is my favorite person in the world, but I understand where your mind can be in a time like that. You're not thinking rationally and I cant really hold a lack of judgement against you for making a decision like that under pressure. No one can say what they would have done in your situation because everything is different once you're in it."-
Covet: Tae nodded, "I just needed a different kind of reassurance that night. I'm super grateful for you and Hayley and My brother and Bliss, all of you, but there's just certain things even you guys can't all help with. I wasn't going to bother any of you over it, so it was just easier to stay with him. Plus we had a really good talk and he wants to do better. People change all the time." Anymore justifications you want to add to that Tae?
Alexithymiaa: "Well..." He trailed off, not seeing that Drew could change because he hates him. "I guess you know him better than I do, so I'll take your word for it. Everyone just wants to see you happy, that's all."-
Covet: "Well... yeah..." She said with a laugh but left it at that. " He promised me he wants to do better for me. I believe him. I am happy." She said though the smile did seem a little forced. "It's a lot to process I know, but all in all I am happy, I'm not going to let that bring me down."
Alexithymiaa: "Well it's good to hear it. That's all I can really ask, as your friend. You know we all just want the best for you." He dropped back down into his chair across from her, flipping his textbook closed. "Have you been doing alright with your classes?"-
Covet: "Yeah, I was a little behind because of that week, but My teachers were pretty cool about it. I'm just about caught up, and I'm still having a blast. My parents might have been right about me enjoying college life." She said with a light laugh.
Alexithymiaa: -He laughed along with her, rubbing his fingers back through his hair. "Well if you ever need help, Im sort of a good student so I can help you out." He pushed up from his seat, closing his textbook and picking it up. "Better to enjoy it, isnt it?"-
Covet: "Mhhm. Definitely." She said to him and finished off her drink. "Thanks,I'll keep that in mind Adam." She got up to throw her can away. "I'm going to go tuck in and fall asleep to my movie. I'll see you in the morning." Tae said as she made her way up the stairs.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam sent her a wave. "I'm heading to bed too. Have a good night." He said as he made his way upstairs with his textbook to read some more before passing out.-
