  1. Who knew that a man with such a prominent beer gut could run so fast?
  2.
  3. Kopalny was no athlete by any means, but right now his fear was exactly the right amount to prompt him to run like hell, yet not overwhelming enough to paralyze him with panic. His attempts at stealth failed epically, and right now he was running away from the small squad of Borgs chasing after him. A couple of times he turned away and fired a few pot-shots at the chasers, but firing on the move was difficult and the bullets just bounced off the pavement. Kopalny therefore focused all his efforts at choosing the right escape route, which would lead him to ''any'' safe place at all.
  4.
  5. But the Borg seemed to be coming from every direction, and Kopalny soon found himself herded into a long, curving, and ultimately ''blind'' alley. As the clumsy, metallic footsteps - so many of them! - drew near, Kopalny looked around nervously, swearing under his breath. What's that? A ladder! Deliverance! Kopalny grabbed the ladder and climbed to the nearby building's fire escape, then finally to the roof.
  6.
  7. "Again on a roof? This is getting boring", he muttered as he ran across, trying to see what to do next. Thankfully, [[BenevolentArchitecture there just happened to be a bridge]], made from two planks of reasonable width which stretched from this roof, to the roof of a nearby building.
  8.
  9. As he heard the Borg climbing up to his position, Kopalny carefully made his way across the bridge. Just as he leapt down onto the next roof, the first Borg made it to the top of the ladder behind him. It was easy to aim right now.
  10.
  11. "Eat this, robocop!" he snarled as he unloaded a series of bullets into the metallic body in the distance. The drone collapsed and tumbled back down the ladder, slamming into all its comrades on the way.
  12.
  13. That should buy him a few seconds. Time to get rid of the bridge. He grabbed one of the planks and painfully began dragging it away, until he could release it and watch it slide down and fall, all the way to the streets below. Then the other one. Unless the Borg could fly, there's no way they could reach him now.
  14.
  15. Now was the time to look around the City. "Fffff--" Kopalny muttered as he saw that the Borg were virtually ''covering'' the streets. Their activity was especially apparent near a house in the distance. Someone was fighting them: who was that? Fiddy, that punk Vezon... and some muscled man in clownish clothes?
