  14.
  15.
  16. Grust has been liberated.
  17.
  18. All that remains is Olbern Keep, where General Lang remains barricaded.
  19.
  20. Lang used his influence to steal belongings, daughters and lives from the people of Grust.
  21.
  22. Was there ever a man as cruel as he is?
  23.
  24. "I cannot forgive his atrocities. He will answer for all of his crimes"
  25.
  26. Marth declared to his army, and ordered firmly:
  27.
  28. "All units, prepare to storm the castle!”

  42.
  43. Jagen:
  44. Kris, you should be aware that Lang is a general with high defenses. To defeat him, you would do well to attack with magic or a special weapon like an armorslayer.
  45.
  46. Kris:
  47. Duly noted.
  48.
  49. Jagen:
  50. If you plan to defeat him with strength alone, you'd have to be very powerful.

  62.
  63. Jagen:
  64. Kris, your strength is very impressive. Without a doubt, you can easily hold your own in a battle. That said, you still must NEVER let your guard down. Understood?
  65.
  66. Kris:
  67. Yes sir!

  81. Jagen:
  82. Kris, your strength is quite decent. I know you will do just fine on the battlefield. Still, don’t forget to exercise caution in there.

  98. Kris, you are, sadly, not very strong. However, you can still fight using your other talents. Whatever the case, be careful.

  128. Lang:
  129. Heh heh heh... So the Alteans have come. Reinforcements are arriving soon; if we can hold out a little longer, we can make a pincer attack.
  130.
  131. Lang:
  132. Swordsman Navarre. When they open that door, you make your move. There is no need for restraint; slice them to pieces!
  133.
  134. Navarre:
  135. Yeah... Sure. Though the knights of Altea are hardly worthy enemies.
  136.
  137. Lang:
  138. Oh-ho! That's my Navarre! They say not even Ogma of Talys is your equal.
  139.
  140. Navarre:
  141. What...? Ogma...? N... Naturally. A guy like him is no match for me.
  142.
  143. Lang:
  144. I see. Glad to hear it! Then I'll leave this place in your capable hands, Navarre!

  163. Jagen:
  164. Sire, there seems to be movement near the front of the castle. And it would appear to be moving towards our forces.
  165.
  166. Marth:
  167. Are they enemy reinforcements? ...Or allies to our cause?
  168.
  169. Jagen:
  170. I do not know, but... I do hope they are allies.

  184. Marth:
  185. Frey! Thank goodness you're safe!
  186.
  187. Frey:
  188. You too, sire. Norne and I escaped from Altea Castle and we rode here as fast as we could.
  189.
  190. Norne:
  191. But the rest of our forces were scattered... I'm sorry we couldn't all make it.
  192.
  193. Marth:
  194. You don't have to apologize, I'm just glad that you're safe. And I know others can take care of themselves.
  195.
  196. Frey:
  197. From here on we shall accompany you. Please give us your orders.
  198.
  199. Norne:
  200. Oh, and please be careful! I caught a glimpse of enemy troops approachin' the castle behind us. I expect they'll be enterin' here soon.
  201.

  241. Hey, Rickard! I see you haven't tired of stealin'!
  242.
  243. Rickard:
  244. Ah! Chief! How nice to see ya! Well, I was plannin' on workin' with you and makin' loadsa money, but you had to go and quit the business! Fallin' head over heels for that beautiful cleric, and then dumpin' me... That's just too cruel! Did our love really mean that little to you?
  245.
  246. Julian:
  247. Can it, you little fink!! People'll get the wrong idea about us if you keep talkin' like that! ...Anyway, forget about thievin' and come with me to fight for justice.
  248.
  249. Rickard:
  250. Hmmmm... alright then! I'll follow ya anywhere. I do adore ya, Chief!

  288.
  289. Caeda:
  290. Navarre! Please hear me out! Lend your sword to our cause, just once more!
  291.
  292. “Navarre”:
  293. What? Who are you? I have no business with women. ...But, there's a first for everything... (Whoa, she's smoking!) Is there something I can do for you?
  294.
  295. Caeda:
  296. ...Wait.....You...You're not Navarre! Who are you?!
  297.
  298. Samuel:
  299. Yikes, I've been exposed, huh? I'm actually a stingy mercenary called Samuel. Somehow, I keep getting mistaken for this famous "Navarre" swordsman guy. I got tired of it after a while, so I decided to pose as him and got myself hired. Oh, but I don't like this General Lang guy either. So if you're alright with it, I'll lend you my sword.
  300.
  301. Caeda:
  302. Uh...Yes... You'll do just fine...

  315.
  316. Ogma:
  317. Navarre... You dastard...
  318.
  319. Navarre:
  320. ...Stay away. This evening, my killing edge hungers for blood...
  321.
  322. Ogma:
  323. Do you mean to kill me, no matter what? Hmph, very well. I knew that we'd have to settle our score eventually.
  324.
  325. Samuel:
  326. Waitwaitwait! Stay your blade! I'm no Navarre, I'm just a sham! I... It's me, Samuel. Have you forgotten, Ogma?
  327.
  328. Ogma:
  329. Samuel?! Samuel, the gladiator from Knorda?
  330.
  331. Samuel:
  332. Yes... I was a slave gladiator at the time, and you really helped me out. Even when everyone was making their escape, you stayed behind to distract the guards and ended up caught...
  333.
  334. Ogma:
  335. ......
  336.
  337. Samuel:
  338. I heard everything from my friends... How you were dragged out to the square and whipped until you looked like a corpse. How, by chance, the young Princess Talys, tears in her eyes, stood up for you and saved you. And that's why you swore your blade to Talys. Or rather... to the princess.
  339.
  340. Ogma:
  341. ...Enough! Say no more! ...No more. It's in the past now... No more...
  342.
  343. Samuel:
  344. ...Ogma... Please, let me repay you. I'm following you from now on, okay?

  357.
  358.
  359. Lang:
  360. W-wait, please! I'm sorry... Please forgive me... I've only done as the Emperor ordered me to. I didn't agree with him, but I had no choice. So... so please, s-spare my life... I'll do anything you say! Yes... That’s right... Just like that... Fool... ...You let your guard down! DIE!!

  374. Marth:
  375. General Lang, I have–with my own eyes–witnessed all of your crimes against the people of Grust. I cannot forgive someone like you. Surrender now, and, if you have something to say, I will listen.
  376.
  377. Lang:
  378. S-silence... silence! You damned country-boy prince! You're stupid for coming here! I'll kill you myself!!
  379.
  380. Marth:
  381. Is that your answer? Very well. Prepare yourself!

  395. Lang:
  396. You! You're that impertinent little boy from before!
  397.
  398. Kris:
  399. It's over Lang! You have oppressed countless people, and made a fool of our prince. Time for you to face justice!
  400.
  401. Lang:
  402. Shut up and die already!

  435.
  436.
  437. Marth:
  438. Lord Wendell! Thank goodness you're unharmed.
  439.
  440. Wendell:
  441. It's good to see you again Prince Marth. Lang accused me of collaborating with the rebels and had me imprisoned here. Even though I told him that I must fulfill a mission assigned to me by Archsage Gotoh.
  442.
  443. Marth:
  444. A mission from Lord Gotoh?
  445.
  446. Wendell:
  447. That's correct. You have seen the "Starsphere"–the holy orb with the twelve constellations etched on its surface. In order to pierce Gharnef's shadowy veil, Lord Gotoh created a sacred spell named "Starlight" from that orb. Unfortunately, the strain on the Starsphere was so severe that it shattered into twelve shards, which scattered into the sky. Lord Gotoh told me that this world has long been protected by five orbs of mysterious arcane power, and that if even one of them is lost, the world will fall into irreparable ruin. By any means possible, we must gather the twelve star shards and restore the Starsphere.
  448.
  449. Marth:
  450. That’s what he said...? For the world to be in grave danger... This is all very hard to take in. But aren't these the star shards? If so, we already have a few. After we retake Altea, we'd be glad to help you find the remaining shards and orbs.
  451.
  452. Wendell:
  453. Of course... Your country was only just invaded by the Empire. I understand, Prince... I too shall fight to restore Altea, then. Thinking about it, my meeting with you here is like a sign from Lord Gotoh himself. In that case, I shall surrender myself to fate. But first, I suggest we stop by the Fane of Raman. We may be able to find some of the missing shards in the ancient temple. I'm sure of it.
  454.
  455. Marth:
  456. No problem. If it's the Fane of Raman, we can go there on our way to Altea.

  467.
  468.
  469. Marth:
  470. Now that Lang has been defeated, the people of Grust shall finally rest at ease.
  471.
  472. Kris:
  473. Yes. It was a tough battle, but we finally managed to defeat the occupational army.
  474.
  475. Marth:
  476. Since leaving Altea, we've had a great deal of fights. Looking back at them now...

  540. Jagen:
  541. Sire, some new information has come in from the patrol. Just ahead, the enemy seems to be preparing some kind of ambush. It's not the Archanean Empire, but likely, mercenaries hired by coin.
  542.
  543. Marth:
  544. Mercenaries, is it? Do we continue as we are or take a longer, safer route? Personally, I'd rather not detour. We have to return to Altea as soon as possible.
  545.
  546. Jagen:
  547. Hmmm... If you would allow me to speak as your tactician, I think we ought to stay here and fight. We will just be facing mercenaries. The Altean knights would never lose to mere sellswords.
  548.
  549. Marth:
  550. I see. Kris, your thoughts?
  551.
  552. Kris:
  553. I agree with Sir Jagen. Let's stay and fight.
  554.
  555. Marth:
  556. Very well. Tell the whole army to get ready and in positon. We'll hit the mercenaries head-on.
