The story of this young man begins as nothing more than a strange attraction between two races who happened to be polar opposites of each other. A Saiyan male, a member of a race that is known to possess the most barbaric and powerful set of warriors in space aside from the changelings and a Tuffle female, inheritor of her race's genius traits but also the curse of being far inferior to most races battle-wise. The feelings they had for each other was considered a taboo especially when the tuffles and saiyans were two separate kingdoms who purposely isolated themselves away from each other. The fact these two even went as far as to have a child was unforgivable and resulted in them both being banished from their respected races but to them it was fine, they would finally be free to live with each other and raise their child happily.

However that luxury was shortlived. Soon the Saiyan kingdom sent dispatched a group of men to look for the father in hopes of bringing him in for his final judgment that he has been ducking for years but he knew that if he was to stay hidden with the mother and the child, eventually they would find them all as a group and kill them all. Instead he decided it was for the best that he went out and tried to move on his own in hopes of shaking them off however...he didn't make it.


Months passed and the tuffle mother had to juggle being a single mother and a survivor at once, hiding from her own racee who sought to take her back and punish her for her crimes. It wasn't long until the tuffles with their advanced technology would find her hiding spot and take her too but she was already aware that they picked up on her location before hand and did well to hide her child somewhere safe and far off as well as using her technological advances to set up a way to nuture him until her was older in her absence.

Days became weeks, weeks became months and months became years as Vell had to fend for himself and try his best to survive and cope with growing up alone. Luckily his mother had already left a note for him explaining everything that happened so he pretty much knew what was going on by the time he was able to read and comprehend. Having to raise himself caused him to be a hateful and docile person.

Once he reached the age of 13 he finally decides to show his face once again in the tuffle settlement, they'd contemplate killing him considering he was the spawn of the taboo or taking him in and making sure of him and eventually after a long period of imprisonment they decided to take him in and raise him. Over the years Vell is known to be a very stubborn and aggressive young man, most times his behavior would not be very welcoming and he wasn't too open to the idea of taking anyone's advice on improving it. Some would say it's because he feels he is better than everyone due to his extraordinary power and his greater than normal intellect but it really was more than that, not having the privilege of having a parent can do a lot to a young man. His parents were killed and while he was still young so he didn't grow up with the same love and compassion some had, he wasn't nurtured the same way as many others were. To put it short, Vell behavior was the result of lack of parental guidance and the compassion and love that comes with having good parents. So during his 16 years of life, his whole goal has been to survive long enough to become the greatest warrior and to find trustworthy friends to help him get revenge on the world for taking away the childhood he deserved.

Further more, despite his age Vell wanted to be a leader or role model of a sort for the Vegeta one day by eventually finding a way to unite tuffles and saiyans . Leading them in the right direction of evolution and surviving rather than the racist mentality that most possessed, he wanted vegeta's lifeforms to prove they were better than what was displayed of them.
