  1. my only other thought, having read through this just now, is that- i think there's enough detail for it to be approved now, but I also feel like more about what the region is actually like would be nice
  2.
  3. right now the "culture and religion" section points out that religion is a part of everything in their lives, which is perfectly fine, but that does seem to have caused her to talk exclusively about the religion, to the exclusion of other aspects- which of course are connected to the religion if everything else is, but it means there are areas with less details
  4.
  5. I don't mean I want more history specifically- I'm more interested in the present than the past, and I find history lore is a lot more trouble than its worth beyond a little detail; i think what's there is fine on that
  6.
  7. but a little bit more info would help make it easier to imagine what daily life here is like
  8. we get a lot of pieces here and there- seasonal festivals, animal agriculture seems prominent
  9.
  10. but there are some things that would be nice to know. like is it more of a rocky island or sandy island? what are their big trade goods (both imports and exports)? how is the coregency inherited/appointed/elected?
  11.
  12. things like that- this is more my curiosity than any kind of necessity. but i'm also asking partly because it sounds like tiffy might have thought through even more things than are mentioned here and if so, sharing those too is always nice
  13. and one last thing- this doesn't need to be run through in detail, since I imagine it would get complicated, especially for every case
  14. but on the religion- did they independently encounter these gods and bring them into the pantheon, or has the religion formed/been influenced by other religions? both of these seem fair and plausible but this strikes me as especially important given the significance of the local religion
  15. for example, Kyogre appears- do these people independently bring it into their pantheon after seeing it or hearing of it, or do they borrow it from older hoennese folk religion, or newer (centuries ago, but newer) antecedents to contemporary Kyogreism
  16. we don't need that for every, or any, specific case
  17. I'd just like to know the degree to which the religion is engaging in any kind of syncretism
  18. oh oh and- sorry so many things but these are small, the last thing I would add is I'd like to know how much the religion has an organized hierarchy versus not having central religious authorities or somewhere in between

  21. I think Tiffy would be happy to add that sorta stuff and answer these questions  I know she likes to think pretty deeply about this sorta stuff.
  22. I know she in specific was pretty worried about 'will they even accept these kinda people ' so she probably wanted to make sure that big part was okay first before writing up too much about it !
  23.
  24. I'll pass that stuff along and let you know when she gets that written up!! it's no worries lol

  28. that can be answered in one or two sentences really but I think it's key
  29. yeah the people seem fine
  30. sure, an aversion to digging is a bit unusual but not wholly unreasonable and in general this isn't abnormal as far as v religious societies go, although one final note- I would ask about nonbelievers
  31.
  32. like okay, Saudi Arabia today is a very religious society, but there are people who only pretend to believe (including cynical elites who punish people for drinking but have cocaine parties), and there are people who believe in other religions, and even atheists- though they're punished for their beliefs
  33.
  34. certainly the small size of this region and the limited connections to the rest of the world limit this problem but I don't imagine they altogether prevent it
  35. so I would ask about how deviations from belief are or are not dealt with, which is related to the hierarchy question
  36.
  37. I don't need some dystopian saudi equivalent- it's pokemon- this is more just- I can see someone rping someone from there and basically any character who isn't devout or who is and develops at all in Toro (which is to say everyone) would be running into this question- not just how it's punished but how other beliefs, or changes in their belief system, are treated
