Champion Challenge PT 2: Zain Rainfold Azar

Time passed out for what seemed like hours but it could have been minutes, at least half an hour of time she spend hovering above the city to allow rain to pour and soak the lands.

It was a tiring task, but she managed and assumed that was just enough for what the city needed. Maybe a bit too much.. but overall, she was successful with connecting herself to the lodestones. Just a bit of power from each one.

The orbs in her satchel could come in handy soon, she just needed to grab Raja's time in order to recreate the crown she currently had!

Vivica lowered herself towards the groung with Niall from above and removed her magic and connections from each lodestone. She made sure to not overpower herself too much just incase there could be any sort of repercussions.

Whatever they could be was unknown. However, now the lands were soaked and it continued on to rain. Niall remained by her side, but Vivica no longer exuded mana to feed the power of the storms above, yet with the elemental's presence, they'd linger longer.

"Go on home, Niall. You'll be summoned again shortly. We have a challenge, maybe two, to fulfill today." Those of the Champion's again. They finally had some free time to come for battle, so hopefully nothing would get in the way this time of their busy schedules!

From the city now, the young woman traversed through the caves after sending off letters again to the Champion's of the city for her Challenges. Hopefully one of them would show up this time!

Vivica walked around the typical area where battles were held, or she could be around the meadow nearby the dragon's cove.

And she waited patiently. The storm that had been overhead in the city followed her into the fields. There, rain was already falling on the lands, but lighter than before due to the absence of Niall.

For now, she stood. Waiting, pondering of which Champion would likely come by to accept this next challenge!

Well, he had just caught wind of what was going on due to his letter. However, not everyone knew about the news of Zain being appointed the position of Inferno, the same position that Sirus held before he became leader. Zain had decided this would come off as a fresh start after his recent loss.

Now, the word 'loss' is one that rarely comes from the mouth of Zain. He had alnost never lost matches, and whenever he did, he just felt like his pride was crushed. Though, the man had never lost to one of his own race, believing himself to be the strongest of his race. He liked that idea. The strongest of his race...

As he would come forth, Vivica would be there, with a soft smile. However, Zain liked a bit to talk himself up. Perhaps thats why he takes losses so hard... "So, then you're challenging everyone, huh?... I was originally going to wait for everyone else to face you first, considering all things.." He would sigh softly.

He knew the loss from Raphael was only going to fuel him here today. As he would take a great notice to the stroms, he would then frown. "You... can control that right? I mean, whether lightly comes out or something, right?,.. Regardless, that's off track. You lost last time we fought, so I want you on your A game. Seeing your new abilities, I see this will be more interesting, eh?"

"The power of storms? Yes--" She stated in a calm manner. Everything about the woman's current disposition was calming. The outside air was cool in the meadow. Rain feel lightly, not as hard as it did earlier with her connection to the lodestones.

However.. the mana within them seemed to be almost drained! (According to Apollo on discord, Alanai was INFORMED the Lodestones were expended and they failed to tell anyone else in Cinderfall, so fluffing that they're recently drained or w/e).

Despite that fact, Niall was again summoned through the door within her mind and brought back into the physical realm before both of them. A near six foot storm elemental.

"I think so. Good luck and I sure hope this time I can fight you hard enough for you to fullshift. That's what I aim for now, afterall." A devilish grin was given towards the man before she backed away to ready herself for battle.

Winds began to envelope her form as usual, infused with lightning and water magic just like before. Rain was coming down a bit harder now, the air was cool, gusts of wind breezes on by, and lightning, for now, wasn't as dangerous within the sky as before.

No, this was just the beginning with Niall's presence.

And now she'd await for Zain to ready himself to begin the second battle of the Champion's Challenges.

"I really hope you can push me to it, Vivica... Only two can topple me in such a form, and while my pride would hate to turn that to three, you're being considered for the future Vivica. Today will prove a lot to us regardless. As the newly appointed Inferno of the Eternal Flame, I'lll shine bright just for you.."

Soon, holy flames would begin to surround the body of Zain. This time around, Zain had not cast forth his wings. This was something he never did, and to those he has fought before and has seen him fight, it would be weird to them as the flames would then begin to grow bigger and bigger. Soon, it would be like his own small tornado of holyfire around him.

He would take in a deep breath, pulling forth Tatsu. He would keep golden hues now locked on Vivica. "It's weird... I can't tell whether I want you to win or not. On one hand, we need to be sure you're reliable. At the same time, the same can be said for me. Multiple losses won't exactly fair well for me, will it?"

Now stanced, he would be ready to strike. "Inferno... It's a fitting name, isn't it? Time to let those flames burn..."

"Is that so? Haha, I'd hate to disappoint if I'm considered for the future. I suppose I'll have to show you just how powerful and destructive the storms grow to become."

"Though.. multiple is never a bad thing. It just shows the growth of others and your will to face them, doesn't it? Just like you're about to face me~!"

Vivica's words were mocking towards the Inferno of the Eternal Flame.

"Time to let the storms rage on." She was basically copying his cool phrases ina  way of mockery!

Thus, with the beginning of battle, the two's power began to merge into one. More power from Niall was given to her and he'd be a big help in the battle against Zain who she couldn't beat once before.

Vivica remembered the skills he could conjure, so it made them a bit easier to calculate and teleport away from them when the time came for the man to summon them.

Thunder rumbled much more loud, vibrating the air. An indication that with Niall's presence, her storm was powerful.

Across the field the young woman and her elemental continued to teleport. All over the place! Strike after strike again Zain from both beings until the man was down and the victory within the round was hers.

"I suppose I know what this means since I've downed you." Fullshifting. She highly expected it against Zain; she was prepared.

Zain had indeed lost the round. Well, he couldn't say he wasn't expecting it. After seeing what she was capable of already, he knew that she would be harder to fight. A lot harder than he would have ever imagined. He could see someone like this taking a champion seat eventually... For now though, Zain felt a strange feeling...

Like he had to put her in her place.

He would soon rise from the ground, seeing the scratches around his body, soft blood dripping. He had forgotten what battle could do to a person when the magic was actually offensive... He never bled when he lost to Batkem or Raphael. Seeing the blood now, he would then sigh heavily.

"So this is how it will be then, huh?... The whole area is your own attack from the shy... So then, you really want this form then?" He would shrug, closing his eyes. "Then you'll get it then, huh?" He would then open back up his eyes, as his eyes were now slit.

Then, the transformation would begin. His snouth would begin to form, as his nails would turn long and razor sharp. Scales would form around his body, and his neck would tighten, and get longer. When the transformation was complete, a large burst of energy would come from out of nowhere. The dragon would now be before Vivica, as he would snort softly.

This fight was now turning around... Could she within stand the pureblood's power?

With the shift of Zain, the entire aspect of the battle would change. There was a true point to this, as Vivica's water and wind were a good throw off for the fire of Zain, at least, in his human form. In this form, his fire was much hotter and more powerful. The winds and water would not be enough to sully the fire. The punishing Inferno would be sent towards Vivica, knocking her to the ground.

As Zain would land to the ground, he would snort once more. Zain wanted to say something to her, but at the time, there wasn't anything he could say. While he wished he could talk to her, and help her realize she was doing better than most have against this form, he really couldn't say anything to her...

He would stick his neck up high, and shoot fire into the sky. He was ready for her next assault, and it might just be their last.

Down. That's how the battle between the Inferno and the Hero ended. With Zain's victory. It was expected actually. Vivica knew she couldn't beat this form. She'd never fought a dragon before. Mungronaar's defense on the fire lodestone didn't exactly count either!

"Krsu-damn it.. scales, talon, sharp teeth, this one's going to be tough!" A swift turn to the elemental beside her once again. Their prowess began to increase with the connection to the elemental orbs within her satchel.

Rain was falling harder and all of the usual things that happened during a storm became much more destructive and increased in power as well.

She was panting. She had done a lot throughout the day, but could she figure out now how to best Zain as a dragon? She wasn't sure, but she had the confidence to bring the battle CLOSE at least, if she could!

Therefore, the young woman prepped herself once more to fight. A better strategy, quicker with her skills, she'd need to be at full focus, her and the elemental.

As the battle moved forward, it became very clear of one thing. Zain's form was miles ahead of his human form when it came to forward. It almost seemed obsurd that anyone had been able to beat him in this form before. But as the fire would clash with waves and winds, it would be a back and forth battle. To give Vivica credit, she held greatly against the dragon, a lot better than most others did.

As the tides in the match would slowly switch over, Vivica would be likely losing some of her stamina, while Zain would be going forward. In a quick effort, his tail would come wacking forward, as he would hit Vivica with it. The impact wasn't the worst, but it would send her rolling. As she was laying there, before she could recover, a large amount of fire built into the dragon's mouth, as it would all release.

When the smoke cleared, Vivica would not be hit by any of the flames. It had been clear that he missed his finally shot intentionally. She was in a small circle, and surrounding her, was a crater of flames that would slowly get smaller. Standing on the other side of that, was Zain. Robe back on, but blood coming down his arms and face. He would be breathing heavy, as he would talk to her from across the way.

"Don't let this bring you down at all...  Most don't do as well as you do against the form. The fact you got me bleeding is something that nobody ends up doing to me... SO." He would stretch a bit, causing blood to come out a bit more as he would wince. "W-We'll get 'ya checked out. Didn't mean to throw you right back into the infirmary after you got out.." There would be a very small chuckle.

To tell the truth, he had been proud of Vivica, and hoped that she would win the upcoming tournament to take a championship spot... Her and Raphael both.

The young Loirdne's powerful storms, increased with the elemental at her side and the connection to the elemental orbs she had on her, wasn't enough to bring down Zain as a dragon.

From previous damages dealt, she was bleeding, not not as heavily as she was when battling Chug. That was until Zain's massive dragon tail whipped her and she ended up skidding across the muddied, soaked ground.

And there she lay. Upon a circular piece of land surrounded by a ring shaped crater with Zain standing on the other side. Blood was coughed up from her mouth, quite a bit of it as well!

Vivica struggled to lift her head. It appeared Niall had taken quite a lot of damage to for the elemental to be downed nearby a tree behind her on the other side opposite of Zain.

"Y-Ya.. gah.." Again she was coughing more blood as she attempted to laugh at his comment. "N-No.. w-worries.. Zain.." The young woman's head fell back against the ground and in all honesty, she felt dizzy! "N-Niall.. go.. go rest.. y-you. earned it." And he's return home for rest, meanwhile she lay upon the ground, waiting to be taken to the infirmary.
