  1. >...
  2. >...
  3. >Continue to be Twilight
  4. >Despite the fact that you finally had some peace and quiet now that Anon was no longer tormenting Nonny, you were still banging you head against a wall looking for a solution.
  5. >In some cases, literally.
  6. >You didn't want to destroy either of them, but it seemed as though you had no option, time was running out fast.
  7. >As well as you could tell, that is. You knew for sure that there was a point of no return in which your meddling would only serve to worsen the situation rather than fix it.
  8. >Anon.
  9. >Or Nonny.
  10. >Anon.
  11. >Or...
  12. >Nonny.
  13. >You groaned audibly in frustration, luckily Nonny was out playing with her friends so she wouldn't get worried by your clear and obvious frustration.
  14. >Wait a second.
  15. >A thought came to you, but...
  16. >Would it work?
  17. >Was it viable?
  18. >This was new ground, there was no way to know if it would work or what the results would be.
  19. >If you failed, the consequences would never be the same.
  20. >What if you accidentally created a third personality?
  21. >What if you accidentally destroyed both?
  22. >This new solution caused another moral conundrum to strike you.
  23. >By speeding up the process, by merging their minds into one, you could technically save both.
  24. >It would be an alteration of the spell that you had said would erase one of them.
  25. >In fact, there was no spell that would "erase" an entire personality like that, you were simply going to merge the minds with one in absolute 100% control, effectively making the other permanently dormant.
  26. >It would be like going to sleep and never waking up, which was really no different than death.
  27. >But how could you merge two personalities that are this different?
  28. >Would resulting pony would be neither Anon nor Nonny, but a new mind?
  29. >Or would it be both as one?
  30. >How can you justify overwriting parts of each one's personalities with parts of the other?
  31. >It was the best option available to you.
  32. >Time was short, you got to work on deciding how to merge them.
  33.
  34. >...
  35. >...
  36. >Be Anon
  37. >You still hated being in the passenger seat, especially with all of Nonny's childish shenanigans
  38. >but you were sure Twilight would find a solution
  39. >for a purple horse, she sure was the smartest person you knew
  40. >err, smartest pony you knew
  41. >in fact, she was smarter than most of the people you knew too
  42. >but that really wasn't saying much, since most of the time you were surrounded by dumb asses all the time back on earth
  43. >you were relieved when AJ started walking Nonny home
  44. >at the very least you wouldn't have to hear a bunch of screaming and giggling fillies anymore
  45. >even if one of the voices was your own
  46. >when Twilight opened the door she looked pretty frazzled
  47. >...and just a little demented too
  48. >she better not pull any Frankenstein shit on you
  49. >(AJ) "You okay, Twi?"
  50. >(Twi) "I'm...Fine! ...Just fine! ...Applejack."
  51. >Applejack raised her eyebrow as if she didn't believe Twilight
  52. >to be honest, neither did you
  53. >if she were a stranger approaching you on the street, you'd probably run like hell
  54. >or call the cops since your body had been turned into that of a filly
  55. >Nonny just walked inside, mostly oblivious of Twilight's state as she turned and stood beside her
  56. ["Goodnight, Applejack!"]
  57. >she waved at the orange pony
  58. >AJ paused for a moment, a look of sadness crossing her face
  59. >(AJ)"Goodbye, Anon."
  60. >she pulled off her hat and held it to her chest for a moment before setting back on her head
  61. >it came across as a final farewell, as if she thought Twilight really was going to end you
  62. >Twilight shut the door and with Nonny in tow, they walked to her room
  63. ["So Auntie Twilight, did you find a solution?"]
  64. >purplesmart's expression changed, turning more serious
  65. >(Twi) "Has Anon been bugging you again?"
  66. ["No, not really. But I can sort of...'feel him' now, inside my head. I...Can't explain it, but he feels uncomfortable being the way we are..."]
  67. >so now she can feel you and your thoughts
  68. >that wasn't comforting
  69. >(Twi) "That's...Good. I think I found a way to save you both, in a way."
  70. ["You did?! Does this mean I'll have a sister? Like Applebloom and Applejack?"]
  71. >(Twi) "Err...No, not quite. It's different than that. You'll both understand after."
  72. >you could feel Nonny's face scrunching quizzically
  73. >(Twi) "Just stand still, Nonny."
  74. >in an instant, you were awash in the familiar purple glow of Twilight's purple magic
  75. >and suddenly it felt like you were formless and floating on an ocean in a moonlit night
  76. >you could feel Nonny beside you
  77. >she was also formless
  78. >you had no way of seeing or feeling it, but you knew
  79. >then it felt as if some unseen force was pushing you together with her
  80. >and flashes of memories and emotions ran through you as her formless being was forced into yours
  81. >and the two forms started melding into one
  82. >everything that you were, everything that she was
  83. >becoming a part of each other
  84. >you suddenly felt the love she had felt for Silver Spoon
  85. >>You remembered his life on Earth
  86. >you realized her hopes and dreams and would fight for them to come true
  87. >because her hopes and dreams are yours
  88. >>You understand his pain from losing the life he had known and forced into this strange world
  89. >>Because you were-
  90. >-one in the same.
  91. >...
  92. >...
  93.
  94. >...
  95. >...
  96. >Be Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic and Princess of Friendship
  97. >Before you stood a little green filly with a black mane.
  98. >She seemed dazed for a moment as your magic faded from around her.
  99. >After a couple seconds that seemed to drag on for what felt like hours, she looked around her surroundings, then back to you.
  100. "H-how do you feel? Can you tell me your name?"
  101. >"I feel...Fine."
  102. >She seemed almost surprised about it, a good sign.
  103. >"My name? But you already know my name, Auntie Twi!"
  104. >There it is, the feeling of dread you were afraid of.
  105. "P-please. I need to know it worked."
  106. >"Oh! Right, my name's Anon...But Nonny works too."
  107. >I-it worked?
  108. "It worked?"
  109. >...
  110. "IT WORKED!"
  111. >You were literally jumping up for joy, you even grabbed Anon in your hooves and spun around on your hind-legs.
  112. >Perhaps you spun a little too much, somehow Anon was looking a little more green than usual, so you stopped and set her down.
  113. >Being a quick thinker and wanting to record the data for future generations, you grab a quill and notebook.
  114. "I know you've been through a lot, Nonny, but I need you to describe how you feel now compared to how you felt from...Before, when you were two separate personalities."
  115. >"But I'm tiiiiiired, I wanna go to bed."
  116. >She did have a point, it was getting late and probably exhausted herself out playing with her friends.
  117. >You just needed this one little piece of data first...
  118. "Can you just give me a quick description?"
  119. >She sighed, annoyed at your persistence.
  120. >"I feel..."
  121. >She paused, clearly searching for the right word."
  122. >"Whole. I feel whole."
  123. >The answer caught you off guard.
  124. >You set the notepad down without writing a thing.
  125. "Alright, lets get you to bed."
  126. >"Can I sleep with you tonight, Auntie Twi?"
  127. >It had been a rough week and you wanted nothing more than a good rest too.
  128. >You smile and nod"
  129. "Sure thing, sweetie!"
  130. >Nonny bounds over to her bed and grabs her favourite plush, then follows you to your room.
  131. >You hold the filly you've sworn to protect close, cuddling her protectively as she cuddles her plush the same.
  132. >She quietly dozes off, leaving you to your thoughts.
  133. >You begin thinking of the friends she will make and the adventures she'll go on in her new life and sigh with contentment.
  134. >Remembering a promise you made to Nonny a couple days ago, you use your magic to check on the magic that transformed her in the first place.
  135. >You had initially made Anon into an Earth Pony, just by default really.
  136. >Her transformed body was just malleable enough to fulfill your promise to her, you can come up with an excuse or explanation later if anypony asks.
  137. >Finally, you doze off planning out lessons for her.
  138. >After all, you'll have to teach her how to use her new horn.
