  56. Based on the IDW Comic, Wynonna Earp follows Wyatt Earp's great great-granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures. With her unique abilities and a posse of dysfunctional allies, she's the only thing that can bring the paranormal to justice.
  57. I don't love it, and I don't completely hate it. A lot of the characters are very one-dimensional and there's not much development (e.g. the main characters Wynnona and the cop), and the acting's kinda cheesy. However, it's entertaining enough to leave up in the background. I think Waverly's adorable. Doc Holiday is a bit overacted but entertaining. Plus I think Doc Holiday and Bobo Del Ray are both really hot, so I haven't turned it off yet. So give it a try and see if you like it.
  58. I&#39;ve rated this show as a six. And now here&#39;s why.<br/><br/>The premise for this show seems interesting. It seems there&#39;s a lot to explore. But this is just at first glance.<br/><br/>Basically we have a character Wynonna Earp, descendant from the famous Wyatt Earp. We learn early on that there&#39;s this mystical legacy passed on from generation to generation. That for whatever reason every criminal Wyatt killed went to hell and then for whatever reason they return every generation, just so Wyatt descendent&#39;s have to kill them using Wyatt gun, the Peacemaker. And send back to hell. Over and over again. The Revenants.<br/><br/>And this show portraits the most recent generation. Wynonna and her sister Waverley.<br/><br/>Yeah the W&#39;s are really annoying. <br/><br/>Wynonna is the older sister and as such the wielder of the Peacemaker. Waverley is next in line in case her sister dies. Until then she&#39;ll have to content on using her wit&#39;s and smart insight to help her sister, that isn&#39;t that good with insight stuff.<br/><br/>Now what&#39;s the problem with this show?! Well. Although it seems to wield potential, that potential is very limited. We know that Wynonna isn&#39;t really destroying the demonic souls, only sending them back to hell. And seeing that every generation has to go through the same process it all seems kinda redundant and useless.<br/><br/>Also there isn&#39;t that much space for developing the story. We know that the demonic beings are trapped in a place called Purgatory (yes a real place, not the mystical one) a kind of Bermuda triangle if you will, and that they all want out but for whatever reason they can&#39;t simply walk out of Purgatory. But there seems to be a loop hole. So story wise there isn&#39;t much there.<br/><br/>The characters. Well. There isn&#39;t much there also.<br/><br/>Wynonna is the typical badass, needs no one, wants to simply shoot her way through every problem, woman gunslinger. That&#39;s trap to a fate she didn&#39;t choose, but nonetheless let&#39;s herself get caught up by it. Because if she didn&#39;t, well.. There wouldn&#39;t be a show, would there?!<br/><br/>Waverley. She&#39;s more down to earth, easier to relate kind of character. She&#39;s funny, she&#39;s witty, she&#39;s smart and she&#39;s cute. Also unlike her big sister, she&#39;s more than willing to pickup the legacy of the Earps. But still has characters go, she doesn&#39;t seem to hold any deep secret or anything that&#39;s simply gonna throw us back in wonder.<br/><br/>And then we got Doc Holliday, the only character so far with anything resembling a secret or secrets. Which motives and sides are far from clear.<br/><br/>And agent Dolls. Also clearly holding on to a secret. Supposedly the member of the black badge organization, one that&#39;s hellbent on preventing the revenants from ever escaping Purgatory and make sure every last one of them gets sent back to hell. Honestly this character big secret to me will be something along the lines of personal vendetta and the even biggest secret is that this so called black badge organization is composed solely of him. And of course now Wynonna and Waverley.<br/><br/>So for a show that&#39;s not even reached its 6th episode, I already seem to have most of it figured out. And what I don&#39;t know... Well... Can&#39;t really say it will hold me to this show.<br/><br/>Can&#39;t honestly see that much potential here. When I first started watching Sleepy Hollow, now there was potential, and that potential has kept growing. Wynonna Earp might be just a short trip. A very short trip. I&#39;m still holding some judgment, but can&#39;t say I expect a lot coming from this show.
