background :: Ya-Ju was born to a pure Chinese father (Shi Fen) and an American mother from Cali (Martha) in Shanghai, China along with her two older brother -Ya Chen and Ya-Fen both are a year older than her and are twins. Growing up in Shanghai meant that YaJu and her family were well off and that was an understatement; her grandfather was the CEO and director of one of China's biggest stockbroker company, meanwhile her father ran a small but well-known gaming company that put out a lot of huge games that were played everywhere. Along with this her mother was a well-known actress back in America and in China, she was a famous model along with her three sisters. So to say that her family was "well-off" didn't even scratch the surface of her families wealth- but like many things that are shiny on the outside, the inside was a dull and cold place. Ya-Ju along with her older brothers were often ignored like the many children in their family; most of the adults were often to busy to even take care of their own children and the family children were bounced around from house to house, never knowing if they would see their parents. Most of the time YaJu, her brothers and her cousins would stay at her grandmother's house for weeks at a time, as time went on most of the children saw her as the head mother and began to call her Mama or Mami. Yaju was among her grandmother's favorites, she said that the young girl had the looks of her mother and the brain of her father and this was very true, Yaju was very beautiful yet she didn't want that to be the reason for people to remember her so she began taking an interest in her father and grandfather's work and many other things that were far beyond her years. By the age of nine Yaju was considered the smartest out of her siblings and cousins and she was sought out of when things needed to be settled. When she turned ten she learned of the news that she would start staying with her parents more often instead of her grandmother- at this point her parents didn't even know how smart she was because they were away so often- Yaju hated this idea as did her brother would had excelled in sports but since they were no more than 11 and 10 they had no choice but to leave their grandmother and live with their parents. It didn't take long for things to hit the roof with the small family, the boys were always away since they played so many sports and it was clear that their mother preferred them over their sister, meanwhile Yaju tried to connect with her father but he always seemed too busy to even notice if she was in the room. Because of this Yaju's early pre-teen years were spent closed up in the library reading or in the kitchen with their maids talking about Mexico. Even though this Yaju never felt that her parents hated her, she assumed that they were just so busy making sure that she and her brothers had a nice life, but that mindset soon changed when she turned 12 and no one not even her brothers remembered the day; at first she guessed it was because everyone was busy again, but she soon found out that her mother had taken her brother on a trip to Seoul in Korea without even telling her, things got worse when her father called saying that he would be home for some time and that the maid was on leave for a week due to family situations- Yaju didn't even have time to express her anger or pain before he hung up on her to finish his meeting. That day Yaju knew that she wasn't the favorite child, she wasn't even a liked child and she felt it. It was the first and last time she ever cried out of pity for herself; after that day she completely ignored her family and while they saw this as a spark of a rebel in her she saw it as a way to deal with her anger and pain of being ignored. By the time she was 14 she'd started leaving the house without telling her parents and she'd come home let smelling like smoke and other things, her family accused her of becoming fast and she never once tried to deny it- in truth Yaju had started working at a homeless shelter and she'd met people who smoked and drank often, it also didn't help that -like her grandmother said- she'd gained her mother's beauty and had even excedded it; people in the news said that she was prettier than her own mother. It didn't take long for her mother to lash out at her and one day when she was 16 (17 in Korea) Yaju's mother struck her across the face, this however, didn't sit well with Yaju and she slapped her mother right back, right in front of her father and brothers. Everyone was shocked and didn't know what to do, so Yaju in anger and slight shame ran out of the house and to a tree house she and her cousins had built when they were younger. That was the last time she saw her family before everything happened...

personality ::
^ Bold; "I'm just saying that maybe if you weren't so rude that you'd get people to like you": Yaju is a very bold and outspoken person, she isn't afraid to speak her mind and very few people and make her simmer down (Ya-Chen, her grandmother, and Jisung being those few people). If she isn't saying what she thinks on a situation then she was pointing something out about a person that needs to be picked. You can bet if you have a nasty additued that she will check you and put you in order.
^ Firm; "Tears don't move me": Yaju is very firm she isn't moved to tears easily, she also doesn't let up on someone just because they started to tear up- in fact, when she was in grade school people often called her a lion; they never wanted to do something wrong, not because they were scared of the teacher but because they didn't want to get an ear full from Yaju. She comes off as harsh most times, but she only means it in the best way.
^ Caring; "If you do that you'll hurt yourself then I'll have to nurse you back to health...":Despite her seeming like a rude and harsh person, Yaju is very caring and she only does what she does because she cares about the person, she's tried to be rude and cold like CTHULHU but her grandmother's teachings always come back to her and she's never able to turn down a person when they ask or need help
^ Insecure; "I look so ugly right now.": Even though Yaju is the best looking from the group she still doesn't think she is good enough- part of it comes from her thoughts as a child that her parents hated her because she was ugly and the other part came from her being overshadowed by her mother for so long. Despite her being very pretty Yaju will always calling herself ugly and will beat herself up if she messes up. She always asks things like "Do I look okay" or "I'm pretty...right?", it's part because she never head the words when she was a child and now she's scared of how people will look at her. She doesn't do it all the time, but she does it enough to annoy the others.
^ Smart:"Theory isn't fact, theory is a thought while a fact is a known": Yaju is smart in both book and street smarts; because of her being alone so often she took to books to keep company and she learned many things from the books she read, she also learned the ways of the streets from friends that she made while she was young and would leave the house alone. She can tell you the theory of evolution and turn around and argue the price of a piece of bread at the market.
^Introverted;"I don't like being around many people, they annoy me...": On the outside, Yaju looks like the type of person who loves to party and has a large group of friends, but Yaju actually hates parties and being in large crowds of "friends" she believes that no one and can a large number of friends without more than half of them being fake and backstabbing. She prefers to either be alone or in a small group of people.
^Observant; "I can tell something is off, your eyebrow is twitching...": Yaju seems to noticed EVERYTHING, not many things get past her without her noticing and speaking up about her, she isn't someone who will say something out loud for the world to hear but she will talk to the person about what she thinks is wrong and try to help them fix it.
^Broken; "Broken hearts can't be fixed, glue wears out eventually": Yaju is a really broken person, throughout her childhood she always questioned why she was never enough for her parents especially her mother, she thought that it was because of her that her parents were never around and that if she wasn't around things would be better. She never seemed to show this on the outside but inside Yaju was breaking into a million of pieces and she felt that no one would understand or care about her feelings. So she kept them to herself and they have been eating her up since.

what did they do to send them to the house? :: It was a single slap that sent Yaju to the house, because of her shameful action the witch cursed with conflicting abilities that would match her personality. She was also sent to the house since the witch believed that she wasn't thankful for the things she had. Of course none of this was true, but there wasn't much Yaju could do.

his personality :: Becuase of his age, Jisung is a very carefree person, he's always joking around even in serious situations and he loves to pull pranks on the others even if they just come back on him - he nearly never pulls a prank and it works out well for him. He doesn't really know how to handle his feelings well and when he's upset or unsure about something he either locks himself away or does something stupid to get his mind off of it. He always seems to be hyper and loves to make loud sounds to annoy the others, and if he isn't breaking something or messing something up then he is running around with Manticore and Chenle being childish. Despite all of this, he has a good heart and is very kind to everyone, he can be pretty naive to the real world and gets himself tangled up in trouble with Renjun and Donghyuck. He's very caring and will always lend a shoulder id someone needs it.

what did he do to end up in the house :: Jisung's parents always asked him not to do one thing, "Don't bring pets into the house, they will dirty up everything". Most of the time Jisung listened to this, but one time he didn't; he'd found a pretty hyper puppy in the alley on the way home and he brought it home in hopes of cleaning it up and giving it something to eat. This, however, was not what happened and the puppy got out of hand, it started running around the house breaking things and getting anything white dirty. Jisung didn't even have time to clean up when his parents came home. They were so upset that they sent him to be without dinner, all he remembers from their is waking up in the house.

development :: Yaju hated his guts; the two were the first to meet out of the group and let's just say he didn't leave the best impression on her, he was so nervous to be in front of her that he started stuttering and saying stupid jokes that only proved to piss Yaju off- by the time the rest of the group had come together to meet Yaju was in a sour mood. He wasn't the only one that thought she was extremely pretty and even Renjun admitted to her beauty, of course, they all had eyes for different girls for different reasons and Jisung was grateful since that meant he had a chance with Yaju. He, however, didn't account for the fact that he was completely unknowledged in having a crush and dealing with it, so he did the one thing he did best tell corny jokes and act stupid. He threw out all the best jokes he knew in hopes that Yaju was laugh or even smile but it did work and she always seemed in a bad mood when he would start telling jokes, he turned to act stupid in front of her to get her attention and it worked but in all the wrong ways; she would look at him and shake her head and his clumsiness and it hurt him knowing he wasn't making any progress, meanwhile she and Renjun started getting closer and Jisung got jealous so often that his powers would start acting him, he didn't know that the two were nothing more than friends and that Yaju had gone to Renjun since she felt he was the most mature and because he spoke Chinese. Jisung then had no choice but to go to Jaemin and the other boys with his brothers and they told him the straight truth, "stop acting stupid and just talk to her" Jisung dreaded the advice, but he knew that they were right, so one day he asked Kirin if he could switch jobs with her for the night, he would help Yaju cook and clean while Kirin would help Chenle with the garden. Kirin agreed and Jisung walked into the kitchen hoping that Yaju wouldn't mind- but she did and she gave him the coldest glare he'd ever seen, even Cthulhu couldn't top that glare, he apologized for being so stupid and it surprisingly worked; Yaju lightened up on him and the two had a good time working together, after that Jisung asked Kirin if they would switch permanently and that started the two young members friendship. Jisung found out about her family and how ignored and distant she felt and he felt bad for her, he realized why she was so harsh and always asked if she looked okay, meanwhile Yaju feel in love with how much he loved animals and she started finding out more about him and found herself thinking he was cute and adorable. After some time Jisung got up the courage to ask Yaju out on a 'date' to which she agreed and that twos relationship started off
