  1. [00:13] Alesia Elisheva says, "...oh. Uh...hi, sister Adsila."
  2. [00:14] Adsila Coaxoch says, "Hello, Sister Alesia."
  3. [00:14] Alesia Elisheva asks, "...a-are...are you busy...?"
  4. [00:16] Adsila Coaxoch asks, "Not terribly, is something the matter?"
  5. [00:18] Alesia Elisheva says, "...I...u-uh...w-was...hoping you'd be able to help me with...my magic. But...not if you're busy..."
  6. [00:19] Adsila Coaxoch says, "I can assist you if you like."
  7. [00:19] Adsila Coaxoch says, "Elyon, you've been volenteered to assist."
  8. [00:19] Adsila Coaxoch says, "Come, come the two of you."
  9. [00:21] Adsila Coaxoch says, "If you have an aura, you may let it envelop you."
  10. [00:21] Adsila Coaxoch says, "Now then."
  11. [00:22] Elyon closes his eyes for briefest of moments, allowing quieter sparks to embrace along, though the crimson hue is absent-- and so is the presence of occult.
  12. (Elyon Hirai)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [00:23] The avatar nods, and her talons point to Elyon and Alesia.
  16.
  17. "Spar, you two."
  18.
  19. "Use all of your magics please, Alesia."
  20. (Adsila Coaxoch)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [00:30] The Summerling dryad nods to sister Adsila, then closes her eyes.
  24.
  25. She focuses on the fury she felt when the Crab King assaulted Percy.
  26. She focuses on how passionately she wanted to stop the monstrous creature from hurting any more of her family.
  27. She focuses on how determined she was to see it cease.
  28.
  29. Embers begin to flake off of her arms, and collect in her hair.
  30. They gather around her arms, in her hands...until they burst forth in a fiery blast, scorching the ground around her, enveloping her in burning red flames.
  31.
  32. Her arms stay to the ready at her side, and she looks to Elyon, then Adsila.
  33.
  34. They're supposed to spar...? She...hasn't sparred someone, before. But...Elyon is probably one of the people she's most comfortable with sparring with.
  35.
  36. She looks to him, fire radiating around her in a glorious blaze, and raises her arms, ready to begin flinging fire at him. No words spoken, just movement and action.
  37. (Alesia Elisheva)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [00:30] Elyon Hirai asks, "Do you have a staff, Alesia?"
  41. [00:35] The shimmers of lightning continue to illuminate his surroundings as Elyon takes those small, soft steps over to the side all the while. Surely enough, the sparks shift their colors yet once again, a crimson hue replacing the azure.
  42.
  43. Sounds embrace along, as well, a constant buzzing much akin to the chirping of countless avian.
  44.
  45. And then, he'd close his eyes, and inhale-- deeply so. A spar.
  46.
  47. "Alright... there it goes."
  48.
  49. With that, he'd assume a proper stance.
  50.
  51. (Elyon Hirai)
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53.
  54. [00:42] No visible weapons upon the Elisheva, and so Elyon kept his staff strapped instead of utilizing it so. Not particularly closing the distance much, the Hirai kept hanging by the sidelines, only ever pausing to send those tornadoes drifting in her direction-- alongside the slower sparks every once a while.
  55.
  56. Somewhat dragged out- and his skin found itself singed quite a lot of times, as well. By the end of it, Alesia would only find a harder gust of wind-- much akin to a bit of shockwave, aimed along her legs, enough to knock her over for the first round.
  57.
  58. Wordlessly, he falls back yet once again, inahling a brief breath. Waiting.
  59.
  60. He knew that she was strong, and he didn't really need to ask if she could still go on.
  61. (Elyon Hirai)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [00:56] The flame-wreathed Summerling was immediately pushed back by Elyon's whipping tornadoes, and electrifying sparks.
  65.
  66. While she managed to land several solid blows, waves of fire impacting his body...several times, he manages to dodge just barely enough to avoid the edges of her fires.
  67.
  68. So...she spreads her fires wider, wider, fueling her flames with the passion needed to burn hotter than before. The passion to be able to defend her family. To stop people from harming them.
  69.
  70. When she next throws herself at him, her fire burns hotter than before, and she's flinging herself at him with more zeal than before.
  71. (Alesia Elisheva)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [01:07] This time around, winds embrace along the Elisheva's form, aiming to limit her movements as he'd continue to maintain as much distance as he possibly could-- flames were strong, and when they hit? They hit hard.
  75.
  76. Outfit somewhat ruined, with burns dotting along the darker attire all the while as sparks fly about, clashing against those flares and scorching the grounds underneath even further-- all the way until he'd finally get a sharper opening.
  77.
  78. Finally closing in the distance, and doing so as swiftly as he could, Elyon comes to a halt right in front of the girl, a single palm outstretched in the moment, and--
  79.
  80. Another, larger gust of wind, enough to send her somewhat flying towards a tree-- though the winds circle over towards her back, managing to cushion the final impact to prevent any actual injuries. A numbing sensation from those lightning bolts would linger, though.
  81.
  82. Landing softly along his own feet, the younger Hirai only wipesa bit of sweat off of his forehead.
  83.
  84. "It's not so much the magical potency... it burns hard, but-- versatility, I guess?"
  85.
  86. Sighing, he'd slowly walk over, offering her a hand up.
  87.
  88. If she had more versatility-- spells, perhaps the outcome would be quite a good bit different.
  89. (Elyon Hirai)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [01:19] Stretching her waves of fire out, causing them to burn even hotter?
  93.
  94. That certainly helped, allowing her to catch Elyon with the greater waves of fire.
  95.
  96. Despite that...
  97.
  98. The flame-wreathed girl can never quite get close enough to him to reliably land any solid blows, and is repeatedly thrown back by gusts of wind and shocks of electricity, as the very air around her restrained her movements.
  99.
  100. After wearing her down for a good period of time, her friend knocks her to the ground with a well-placed application of forceful wind, throwing her back against a tree...and while winds restrain, circling her back enough to keep it from fully impacting the tree?
  101.
  102. ...he head was not similarly lucky, which smacks into the tree with, while not lethal force, or permanently damaging force...definitely injuring force.
  103.
  104. She crumples against the tree, head tilted downwards as Elyon approaches, and the enveloping flames being thrown backagainst the oak's bark. The dryad doesn't really seem to notice as he offers her a hand, instead remaining against the base of the tree with her head down.
  105.
  106. ...she isn't moving much at all, actually.
  107. (Alesia Elisheva)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [01:27] The avatar watches the fight with some degree of curiosity, hoping to get some kind of reaction out of the girl. The avatar couldn't reliably teach the girl in the way of fire magics, she just didn't use magic in the same manner.
  111.
  112. Alesia is unable to get any good hits in, as was expected. Adsila ponders if it was actually a good idea to make Alesia fight Elyon, she was confident it was, after all, what else can one do but get better and improve in the face of adversity.
  113.
  114. The avatar watches as Alesia is slammed into a tree, and Elyon rushes over to help her up.
  115.
  116. The girl was a magi, and a dryad no less.
  117.
  118. Adsila's depthless eyes stare for a moment before snapping, vines whip out of the ground and put the youngster back on her feet.
  119.
  120. "Come now, come come." The avatar whispers, a thousand of them, coming from every direction.
  121.
  122. "That was nothing of what you will face in the future."
  123.
  124. The avatar's arm rises, and a sharp green crystal forms, it glows with the intensity of a torch, glimmering and brilliant.
  125.
  126. Adsila grasps it, and cuts lightly into the girl's hand, and places the crystal onto the little drops of blood that formed, it is absorbed.
  127.
  128. "Back into the fight, again Alesia. Push yourself."
  129.
  130. The avatar's tone is plain, yet encouraging.
  131. (Adsila Coaxoch)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [01:34] "Alesia?"
  135.
  136. Murmured words as he'd stare, silent, and not particularly daring to take another breath as moments pass, until she'd speak up, except...
  137.
  138. ...she didn't. He didn't know what happened- he used his winds, he had them circle over, but--
  139.
  140. Those eyes widen for just a moment and he'd turn towards Adsila in near panic, about to exclaim for help, though a second too late. Their teacher appears to be calm, and... confident in what she does-- whether it be those glimmering crystals, or the way those vines curls about his friend's form, and even though he has confidence that Adsila would make it better, it...
  141.
  142. 'It's not always hatred, Elyon. It is the unwanted desire to harm, do you understand? That is what Occult craves. The mana expands, and it is not hard to lose your command in middle of heated moments. In middle of those battles, without even realizing it.. and when it does expand? You might hurt people.'
  143.
  144. There's a certain clarity in those words-- and even if it has been over an year, Elyon remembers them perfectly. Not a single second is able to pass before those cimrson sparks practically vanish into thin air, and his breathes fasten just a fraction.
  145.
  146. He's still calm, just standing there, nervously waiting, but... he was scared-- even though he denied those words initially, claiming he can always keep his control. He was scared. Even if it didn't show in the slightest.
  147.
  148. Silent, otherwise.
  149. (Elyon Hirai)
  150. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  151.
  152. [02:07] The stunned dryad remained against the base of the tree for only moments, before the elder dryad's vines launch her back to her feet, where she wobbles around in place, trying to steady herself even as her head swims.
  153.
  154. Nothing of what she will face in the future...? She squints, trying to think about what Adsila meant by that...but is suddenly half-blinded by the green glow of the crystal, then wincing as a gash is cut into her hand. The crystal is placed upon the cut, and absorbed...and, very suddenly, the beaten dyrad is rejuvenated, the previously made cut being sealed by the healing crystal.
  155.
  156. Her head shakes, as she re-adjusts to her surroundings...and nearly causes her glasses to fly off, which get firmly resecured on her face.
  157.
  158. She looks to Elyon, then to Adsila...then back to Elyon. Her gaze lingers there, only for a moment, before settling back on the avatar of Nature.
  159.
  160. There's a slow nod, and her eyes close as she begins to pull upon her flames once more. But...this time, she sources her passion from a different source.
  161.
  162. She sources her passion, her desire, to improve. Elyon thoroughly annihilated her...she can't defend her friends and family as she is. Not truly. So...she needs to improve.
  163.
  164. The fires burst out around her form, raising to a blazing peak above her head, and she looks to Elyon with a smile.
  165.
  166. "...would you like to go again, Elyon?"
  167. (Alesia Elisheva)
  168. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  169.
  170. [02:17] There's a way he'd simply... stand there. Somewhat frozen-- and Alesia's question, despite her smile, doesn't particularly garner any immediate response. He was here to help the Dryad train, but... with everything he was told during that first day of Academy, as well as what just happened...
  171.
  172. He was nervous, scared. He didn't want to hurt her.
  173.
  174. The brief, sudden shake is rather visible, but those hands of his lift upwards soon after, palms swiftly slapping along the sides of his own features-- if only to snap those thoughts away.
  175.
  176. "Y-yeah..."
  177.
  178. The voice is meek, and the characteristic confidence that usually laces Elyon? It's nowhere to be found, if anything. But when he'd allow his magic to shroud his form yet once again, one thing is more than apparent;
  179.
  180. There was little to no hint of Occultic mana, and instead normal, bluish sparks flare about his form, accompanied by that same, hushed chirping. Though his eyes squeezed shut for a couple more, longer moments, he was more calm now.
  181.
  182. Still, the boy refused to make use of Occult in this battle. Not against her, here.
  183.
  184. Nodding, he'd assume a proper stance.
  185. (Elyon Hirai)
  186. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  187.
  188. [02:24] The flame-enveloped dryad looks on in confusion as Elyon slaps his cheeks, as he speaks quietly and without confidence. Something feels wrong.
  189.
  190. When lightning shrouds his form, her suspicion is confirmed. There's a total lack of corruptive energy leaking from her friend's magic. Something is wrong. She's going to have to make sure he's okay after this last bout of sparring.
  191.
  192. The Summerling readies herself now, to spring into mock combat against her friend...but this time, with a renewed passion to succeed not only because to succeed means to protect those she holds dear, it means to having improved herself.
  193.
  194. When he's ready, she vaults into action against her friend.
  195. (Alesia Elisheva)
  196. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  197.
  198. [02:32] Occult empowered his arts further-- and offered him a stronger spell or two, but, overall the Hirai's magical versatility wasn't much inferior, even if the impact was somewhat weaker-- the spar dragged on for bit longer, if anything.
  199.
  200. He took damage here, more-so than previous rounds, with pyres slamming into his form and singing the surface of his skin all the while-- though he'd only respond with those winds, pushing the flames away and providing himself with the opening to land some of those bolts, but...
  201.
  202. Every time he closed distance? There's a brief hesitation which is quickly pushed away-- even if he's scared, he was here to help her get stronger, to help her train... and that meant he needed to try his best and not let that worry hinder her improvement.
  203.
  204. When an opening is spotted, he'd zip over to her side-- but no gust follows suit this time around. Instead, a brief zap of lightning strikes at her shoulder-- stunning for just a moment, but, he knew she could go on.
  205.
  206. Falling back, he'd assume a proper stance yet once again, waiting-- and breathing perhaps a bit too heavily.
  207. (Elyon Hirai)
  208. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  209.
  210. [02:42] The enveloped dryad is forced back again, but this time...even though she can feel that her friend is omitting some of the magic at his control...
  211.
  212. She knows she did better this time. It feels as if she nearly managed to make him fall back.
  213.
  214. Several times her spells miss their marks by the barest of feets, and she's still having difficulties staying close enough to Elyon to levy her full force against him...if she could get just a little bit closer, reliably...
  215.
  216. Then something occurs to her. One of the techniques she uses in the flameslide. But...what if she took all that explosive energy, and directed all of it towards propelling her forwards?
  217.
  218. ...well, it's worth a try, at least. Shaking off the remnants of the stun, she begins to gather fire within her hands as she prepares herself to launch herself into the fray.
  219.
  220. Hopefully the added distance propelling herself with explosions of fire lets her get close enough to connect with more of her attacks.
  221. (Alesia Elisheva)
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [03:08] This time, the flame-covered girl manages to get close enough to land her spells, and she does so reliably. And the main reason why this is the case?
  225.
  226. She had begun to use large explosions of fire to propel herself towards her target, before laying down wastes of fiery devastation against him.
  227.
  228. The dryad manages to send him reeling back with a particularly scathing wave of passionate embers, only moments before she steps back to breathe herself.
  229.
  230. It's clear that second bout didn't let her go away without recompense. Small cuts surround her form, and her hair is raised up slightly- showing a static charge being held within her hair.
  231.
  232. Wobbling on her feet for a moment, she begins to re-gather the fires in her hands, before preparing to launch herself at Elyon again.
  233. (Alesia Elisheva)
  234. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  235.
  236.
  237. [03:13] She landed her hits-- most of them, and surely enough, they'd burn on contact. Maintaining his distance, except he struggled to do so-- missing the enhancement of occult.
  238.
  239. There's a way the boy zips back, dodging a couple blasts of pyres here and there, except-- it comes rolling. A single wave of embers slamming into his form, sending him crashing back this time around.
  240.
  241. She managed to nail a bout there, if anything.
  242.
  243. Though it's still shaky, he'd offer her a brief, little curl of lips, before assuming the same, characteristic stance yet once again-- as long as he didn't utilize the darkened, it'll be okay, right?
  244.
  245. It'll be alright.
  246.
  247. A deep breath, and then he'd charge forward yet once again.
  248. (Elyon Hirai)
  249. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  250.
  251.
  252. [03:31] Closer, and he had to calculate each and every step taken there-- movements, as well as making sure he didn't end up in the path of those flares all the while. Though her defenses weren't as good, and he managed to land a lucky strike or two--
  253.
  254. The spar dragged on for a while, regardless, until another opening is spotted, allowing him to swiftly close the gap and appear right behind her. The lightning sparks on, embracing his palm as he'd jab forward-- it's light, still, and not something that'd actually injure.
  255.
  256. Even then, when the jab connects, it's more than enough to briefly stun her, effectively ending this bout, to say the least.
  257.
  258. A swift breath as he squeezes those eyes shut, letting the magic dissipate into thin air-- and this time around, before the girl could even drop to the ground, he'd allow those hands to reach out to grasp along her shoulders, supporting her form a tad all the same.
  259.
  260. "That-- was muchharder." a brief pause, as he'd shake his head. Voice remains soft, low, though. "You alright, Alesia?"
  261. (Elyon Hirai)
  262. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  263.
  264. [03:39] Several times the dryad feels painful shocks that she should have avoided explode across her frame. Coupled with the fatigue of the fighting...the most fighting the small girl has ever done in quick succession before, she's standing wobbly, and off-kilter even before Elyon spots his opening...
  265.
  266. Not that the opening was hard to spot. At that point, there were beginning to be so many that it's surprising the flame-enveloped girl lasted as long as she did.
  267.
  268. Her eyes glance around wildly as he vanishes from her sight, only for her to feel a sharp jab against her back. She pitches forward, toppling over as the covering fires die down off of her body.
  269.
  270. She's saved the pain of impacting the ground by Elyon's much faster reactions, as he catches her still-warm form by her shoulders.
  271.
  272. There isn't any response to his question, her head lolled forward limply. And it might take a moment for her friend to realize why that is.
  273.
  274. The exhausted girl fell unconscious, and is now peacefully asleep, even as her friend holds her up.
  275.
  276. Certainly one way to end a sparring session.
  277. (Alesia Elisheva)
  278. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  279.
  280. [03:45] "Alesia?"
  281.
  282. The name escapes in a mumble, and he'd only frown, silent for a couple more, longer moments, before repeating-- this time around, he was more than certain that he held back enough to not cause any significant damage, but...
  283.
  284. Though, even as he'd quietly stand there, her peaceful breathing is rather audible, and he couldn't really spot any injuries or so, to say the least, yet...
  285.
  286. "Good grief..."
  287.
  288. When those lips part, his words find their way out accompanied by just the softest of sighs-- perhaps that of relief, given the way his lips curl into a smile ever so faint. Sound asleep, then.
  289.
  290. Not saying much else, he'd simply wrap an arm around her shoulders, while somewhat bending his knees to place another under her knees all the while. A swift, albeit careful motion as the Elisheva is carried up.
  291.
  292. He couldn't really think of any options other than the clinic, and so that's where the boy would aim to move towards-- she could get some proper rest there, after all.
  293. (Elyon Hirai)
