  1. Universal ((Big incoming ^^))
  2. "Hurry up! We need to get there quickly!" A males voice rang out in the dark evening as he carried a large older fashioned, almost hand woven, Japanese styled carrying bag; as if it would be able to withstand quite a bit if weight. One hundred pound of nothing, but gold lay inside of it; a deal with a very particular creature had been made, of course the gold wasn't enough to convince him. So he stayed there untile he could figure out what else Shale Conway could possible desire, he was completely isolated up there...in that cave. That was when a very twisted thought came to mind, Arisu his youngest sister. It wasn't like she did anything much, more so she was a waste of space, as well as his other brother Airo; he'd deal with him later, for now he was abroad working- idiot rarely checked in when he was out of the country. Then giving her away now, as payment, would spurn their brother quite deeply; and the annoying brat could be off his hands. Then Shale would have a pet to play with however he chose, but secretly he'd hope she's get eaten by the dragony beast. One wouldn't think of usually including another individual along with the payment that was to be made in gold, but he did promise that she was easy on the eyes, and could do whatever he wished to the girl. "Zada, it's hard to keep up....I don't feel that great..." She muttered softly as she tried to keep up right on her feet, she wasn't sure what was in that drink her older brother had given her, but it was making her feel quite weak and a tad in the woozy side. The young woman, was dressed in quite the formal light pink, and white kimono; the middle held a gentle flowing bow, as the bit that wrapped around her neck adored a flower and purple scents; just as a few flowers had adored in her long silky smooth brown locks. They were accompined by vibrant purple hues that seemed to glow a bit in the evening moon light.Though most of her form being hidden by her kimono; she didn't seem that tall, about five feet and a few inches; yet even that much more stranger was that she had fox ears and nine tails to match. White mostly, with a tint of pink and brown along the edges and tips, "stop your whinning we're almost there and you can sit down and rest" came that vexed voice of the male known as Zada, who in of himself was like the young woman, but his was mainly white and black in colors, as he wore and all black loosely fitting kimono himself, he was quite physically thinner than one would expect, but then again; he had greater power than just in his more humanfied form.As they walked along, the young woman would stumble a bit and nearly fall only to be caught by Zada's free tails "Arisu your such a fucking klutz, get it together, I can NOT have you filthy when we get there! Otherwise you'll bring shame upon me and our entire household!!!" He snapped at the girl; his voice dark, and very fierce. Arisu would look down at the chastisment of her older brother as he ears drooped quite a bit. She never wanted that, as she was raised very strict when it came to do anything of much, though Ario was much more gentle about things; Zada, was so dark....at times that much more darker with his punishment if she failed to behave while Airo was away. "I'm sorry Zada, I didn't mean to.." She spoke softly as she wondered why she had to come along with him anyways. Once Zada got the girl upright they soon reached a cave that seemed to glow a bit with warmth of fire.[C]
  3. "Fucking finally, hurry it along!" He snapped a bit more and Arisu quickly was at his side, but being extra careful not to fall or trip again so as not to disappoint her brother; plus horrible punishments would ensure, of course nothing woukd ever leave a mark. Zada was to smart after the first time and Airo found out, he created new ways to do it. It was how it always was with him, he was quit harsh on her and oftened was just plain evil towards her, but she always submitted herself to him. After all he was her older brother and knew what was best for her, ever since their parents passed away, it's been Zada and Airo taking care of her, getting the best clothes, teachers, education everything to turn her into the best Proper lady. Entering into the Cave a bit, Zada would call out "Shale Conway! I've brought the payment as desired" he called out, Arisu was nervous a bit, something just felt 'off' about this situation, but couldn't figure out why exactly. "The gold.."He started tossing it to him, and then grabbing Arisu's arm and shoving her right before Shale's feet, to ground, "o-oh.." Was all the came as her quite soft looking hands were scrapped up against the ground as she was thrown to it. "And the girl as promised, and your end of the deal?" He asked coldly as Arisu couldn't believer her ears as her eyes went wide. He what? She couldn't believe she was even hearing anything like this from her own flesh and blood. Just as she shifted upright onto her knees, tears in her eyes as she looked at Shale, then to Zada. "What did you do Zada????!!" Her voice cracked with fear, and heartbreak could be heard in her undertone, and a bit of pure shock. It was the first time that she ever had questioned him, she was fearful for what would happen to her, but most of all he couldn't betray her like that, he was her brother! She was his sister for heaven sake's "Be quiet Arisu!" Zada told the girl quite callously "n-no! Wh-when Ai-r-..."she was cut of as Zada snaps his fingers with a few words, the girl's voice just seemed to stop midsentance, like she couldn't talk. The dizziness grew, her body growing weak. So pliable like playdough she fell to the ground before Shale's feet barely awake, eye shutting, but hearing her brother's words, though they were fading fast. "Pay her no mind, now on with the exchange, and worry not she'll wake once I'm clear of the area, do with her what you will I could care less" he scoffed out as it was evident there was no love for this woman. He would wait for Shale, to retrieve his newly formed sycth, with a few extra hidden features he wanted. Turning on his heals to leave, glancing back at Arisu one last time scoffing glad to be rid of that annoying little pets that he was forced to ever call his sister. She was weak and unworthy of anything, in his eyes she'd never amount to anything at all. Arisu was being with someone she didn't even know, much less with answers to her questions. It wouldn't take her long to wake as now Zada could easily travel with out 'the baggage' n tow and was long gone far from ever returning for his younger sister. A groan left Arisu's lips as her eyes slowly lifted, quite blurry "n-need....t-to g-get w-water..." She muttered to herself as she slowly sat up, her head was spinning; a hand came to her head as she would gently move to try and stand up. As she barely managed to get to her feet from the hard ground, she wobbled, as she was trying to focus her eyes, but they were taking quite a bit to do so. Reaching around to find something to hold onto, but wasn't sure even what she was reaching for, either way she missed it, and went hurling back towards the ground.

  5. Shale The deal he made with Zada was an unusual one. Normally, Shale wouldn't take someone like the poor woman as payment. Yet, when her brother came along and requested a rather powerful item to be made...Normal circumstances weren't going to happen. Sure he would have been fine with the gold, had there been enough. His time spent in the caves outside town and simply alienating himself had made the incarnate lonely. He could have gone out into the public though and made some friends...Instead though he went a different route, or perhaps it was influence from the wyvern that caused it. Whatever the reason, Shale agreed to take Zada's sister as completed payment. Shale had been rather busy since coming here, creating various weapons that had no reason to exist. It was his job in the past to make and fix the deadly things and his isolation spurred him back into the habit. They were his works of art and to see someone USE them was just a high he couldn't compare anything to. Well not true, watching something burn created the same feeling. As agreed, he would wait in his cave with the scythe in hand. So beautifully honed and crafted, it was almost a pity he would part with it. Shale could always change his mind, but stopped himself from doing so. He could always make another one. Once he heard movement and voices at the mouth of the cave, his fiery gaze rested upon it. Steam escaped his nostrils and dragon like mouth. Perhaps at any moment he would expel flames upon his guests. A heated death would not greet them this evening as Zada showed up and called for him. His booted steps scuffed the ground as he approached and then stopped. Arisa was tossed to his feet and he would look down at the girl. The wyvern's gaze scanned every inch of her before he'd look to Zada and then the bag of gold. Obviously, the female wasn't aware of her being part of the bargain. Something knocked against Shale's mind, something telling him this was wrong. It would go ignored as he offered up the scythe. "<i>As promised.</I>" His voice was gruff and clearly matched his dragon like appearance. His curiosity got the better of him though when Zada told his sister to be silent. She would comply without hesitation. A rumble escaped his throat and nothing else beyond that. She would be better once Zada left. After the exchange, Shale would leave Arisa where she laid and went to check the gold left behind. It appeared to be all there or at least he was satisfied with the amount. When she spoke, he would glance over his shoulder. The orbs in his sockets may as well have been made of pure flames at that point. After he blinked though, the light seemed to be extinguished. He would leave the gold behind and get a water skin that sat nearby. Shale crouched before the girl and offered it to her.

  7. Universal Arisu was lost to what was really going on, her head was spinning, so many quiestions, that needed answers she wanted this to just all be a bad nightmare, somwthing she could wake from. Her stomach was also churning, it felt like whatever she drank was hurting every inch of her entire body, completely out of sorts. She felt so much weaker than she usually did, Zada had to habe done stomething to her, she just didn't exactly know what it was or would be that she would have to spend a lot of time relearning all of her ablity to fight and hone her elemental skills and various other smaller ablties. She would just sit on the ground a moment as she tried to rub her eyes clear, slowly things were coming into view. It was starting to be clearer, that....she was inside of a cave, taking in the surroundings a bit. Before she realized it, she jumped a bit as she seen Shale so close, but seemed to hold her much needed request. Water. Her small gentle hands lightly took the water akin from him and swiftly drank it down as if she was dying of thirst. Once she was done she would gently set it on her lap "th-thank y-you.." She told him softly as she coughed a bit. She was trying so hard to not get so naeasued that she looses what contents are left in her stomach right in front of this guy, of course she wasn't so much afraid of his looks as she was, over what would happen to her with him. That's when she remembers Zada, and her brother Airo, tears welled up in her eyes, and she couldn't control anymore as they rolled past, unable to believe any of this "A-Airo.." She hiccuped, but with that she started coughing. She would get to her feet and swiftly run towards the interance of the cave, before she lost all of the water she had drank. Between crying and the rest of the contents of her stomach came out, at the same time. She would eventually sink to the ground as she started to cry more, her ears and tails just drooped quite lowly, of course she'd sit there all night like that without a single care about her well being.
  8.
  9. Shale Shale watched her as she took the skin and drank as if she'd wither away. Flower...That's what instantly came to mind. A flower surrounded by heat and death if she wasn't careful. He had fought the wyvern for the most part, but was slowly losing. Denial was a wonderful thing as was hope, which kept the man going against this battle. He still had some kind of grip upon the beast and that had to account for something. For now it was making sure it didn't incinerate her. "Don't thank me." He shook his head and turned away from her. Back to the gold and the churning thoughts of 'what now?'. He had his...companion, though by no good means. Selfish...Horrible monster...Taking someone like that as payment. How could he? Easily apparently. The incarnate would continue to distract himself with the gold, but would pause when he heard her speak a name. Zada was the one he dealt with, who was Airo? Was she already betrothed to someone else? Another brother perhaps or some language he didn't understand? Her running feet didn't raise concern in him. Instead it was more 'don't let her escape!'. Shale would move fast, nearly flying as he felt a tingling in his arms. So close, the wyvvern would surface and take back what was HIS. Steam escaped his mouth and nostrils again, along with a rumbled sound that leaned into a bellow territory. It was cut short once he saw she stopped and was throwing up. Delicate as a flower too...She wasn't going to run away. Though the wyvern calmed down, Shale didn't move until he felt it was safe. A few seconds or minutes maybe, before he'd walk up behind her. "Come on." He said quietly before placing a hand on her. If Ari allowed it, he would try and take her further into the cave. To him she was sick and it was too cold outside. Warmth would be best until she felt better.
  10.
  11. Universal Though the water flowing down her throat did feel so cooling and slightly calming at first, she needed something to shock her system a bit as it wasn't exactly every day that one was made into a bargain. But of course this feeling wouldn't last very of relaxation, but for a few moments it felt good and ahe was focusing on that. Since that drink she was given her body, seemed to be blocking something, but she didn't understand why she felt so tired and nauseated. She never knew if this, being before, much less what he was, but she could tell he was different, but she was still fearful for whst it was in his reasoning to take her. Though Zada had no right or authority to give her away like this, he was only the second oldest brother of hers. She told him thank you, due to no matter what anyone does for you, dispite the situation one found themselves in it was a kind response one was supposed to have. He could of just flat out denyed her it in the first place. From his appearance, Was absolutely no way that she could ever really get that far, and at this point her heart was quite broken from the deep betrayal that her brother just rendered unto her. She thought of her oldest brother, and would do her best to remain strong until he could come for her. She would know there was just no way he'd ever believe Zada on anything he said when it came to her not being at home to greet him. She had done so for years, it wouldn't be any different this time either, except that she wouldn't be at home waiting. Here with this new being, with no clue how to deal with this on top of being sicker than a dog currently. Between her moments of throwing up and sobbing she would whimper a bit, once slightly jumping at that bellow seemed to start up, but she couldn't help the need to take it outside. Bad enough she had to stay with him, she wasn't going to have to smell that as well in close quarters. "..b-big...b-brother....A-Airo..." She hiccuped out as she sniffled a bit as she Just wanted to rest by this point she would slowly calm, the soft tears were all that were left and those blasted hiccups, they hurt, and her whole body hurt and was sore. All the walking, atop of being tossed around rest seemed like a good idea no matter that it would be near someone that traded something for her. But she would jump slightly at hearing him speak, mostly because he had been right behind her, yet she calmed. Feeling his hand against her, she would simply allow him to lead her further into the cave attempting to stay upright. The warmth did feel nice and relaxing as it swept over her body, relaxing her tense muscles a bit and making her feel drowsy in a calm gentle way, not as Zada had made her feel.
  12.
  13. Shale He hadn't thought this through and could still let her GO. There wasn't a reason to be keeping the poor girl there, but...He couldn't. Wouldn't? Surely not. She was a person, not some pet to keep. He would be alone again. There was a town nearby he could make friends! It made sense, but she was HIS now. He grit his teeth, holding back a growl at himself. She had nothing to do with this, she was nothing but an innocent. Even the innocent get caught up in madness. Was he mad? No, he was in control. Yet as he guided her back into the cave, it was concern and possession making him do so. Shale would keep himself between her and the cave's entrance. Thanks to a small fire, she could see he walls were covered floor to ceiling with various weapons. It was as though he was preparing for some kind of battle or awaiting warriors and the like to come take the items away. Zada was only the first of many, Shale just needed to wait. For now, he had a guest to attend to. "<i>Stay here.</I>" He ordered before walking a few feet further and pulling out blankets and a rolled up mat from an alcove. He would get a makeshift bed ready for her to lay on. The dirt where he chose to make it appeared normal while where he slept there were scorch marks. Even his brown blankets were singed black along the edges and one side of a well worn pillow. "<i>Big brother hmm?</I>" He would finally question. Was he aware of this deal she was part of? Would he come and get her back? Shale wouldn't allow it, not without a fight. "<i>This is yours.</i>" The incarnate tilts his head. "<i>Lay down.</I>"
  14.
  15. Universal Of course she desperately wanted to go home, but would have no idea how to even to begin to get there from here. So what else could she do, she was forced to be here, it was scary of course. What other option than compliance could she do? Yet she wished that this wasn't the case, but waiting and staying alive was important, so what else was she to do. Plus she was quite to unwell to feel as if arguing would be anything productive to her, or even her health. Reats and time was what she needed to feel the tinest but better; ha! How could one feel better about THIS situation. As she was lead back in the cave , further in, the deep warmth that she could feel gently flushing her cheeks lightly. She didn't seem to know a thing of Wyvvern, as it wasn't exactly a being that was ever oftened just ran into for her at least. While she meet so many different people and ethnicities, and beings; though none of them had the potential to really harm her. Then again why should she really care,A deep betrayal that was so deeply unforgivable in her eye sight.it it would take a huge miracle for her to ever do so to Zada. She would allow her purple hues to scan over the weapons that she could tell were created from lovely art forms. Often she had to know what was created and used were, her education oftened depended on what she learned. She would give a light nod at Shale's order, was he really this concerned over her? Why? She didn't understand as she stood there waiting, and admireing the beauty of their each hand craft details. She watched him put together her bed and looked over at his spot and then felt strange with seeing that. Possibly even a bit more worried. "A-Airo is older than ....th-the o-other..." She told him softly. He was going to come for her and she knew it wouldn't be forever. "Th-Thank...y-you.." She muttered as she would obediently crawl right into the makeshift bed and curling up as small as she could she was growing tired, trying to fight to keep Eyes open, with how warm it was getting to be for her.
  16.
  17. Shale Betrayal was something that should run deep given his situation. It did in a way, but not like how Ari felt. He had...Accepted what was going on long ago. She on the other hand had a fresh wound. It would either heal in time or fester, it all depended on how she guided it. Getting her better was the strong point here, afterwards remained a mystery. So this Airo person was an older sibling, one he would have to watch out for. Shale glanced off towards the front of the cave then back to the woman when she laid down on the mat. Another thank you and he'd grunt and shake his head. "Still don't deserve it." But whatever, if she wanted to give it he'd take it. "Get some rest." Any further conversation was done as far as he was concerned. Shale would walk away from her and circle his own bedding. Despite the fire giving off heat, it still wasn't warm enough for him. His nightly ritual would come into play as steam once again rose. It filtered from his nose and mouth before a blast of fire came from the black maw. A ring of flame briefly surrounded the bedding before calming down. Before the ring was completely faded he would walk through it and lay down. Though his eyes soon closed, Shale was on alert in case there were any disturbances through the night.
  18.
  19. Universal This new situation she found herself in made her feel full of anxiety, it was the first time without the comforta of her home or her brothers, and top it off she was feeling very sick. Half the night was spent getting up and throwing up, whatever remained in her stomach though it wasn't much left there after the first few times of getting sick. But finally the warmth resettled her and she was sleeping gently, as small little snores came from her, almost akin to that of a cat, but with a fox twist. Arisu began to dream, of being left alone in the darkness as she watched Zada flea from her leaving her alone, not being able to find him, or even Airo. This caused her bedding to freeze over in soild ice, and as she continued to get worse in anxiety of her dreaming the more things started to freeze and have piles of snow all over. Soon the main fire was out cold and even Shale's precious 'artworks' were covered in snowy ice.Shifting a bit in her sleep turning towards the direction that Shale had been sleeping in, it happened. A frightful feeling of her powers in her dream just completely stopped working and smack! A giant ball of snow just hit him square in the face. She would whimper and whine in her sleep as she kept trying to run and get back home as the entire place seemed to keep getting further and further away from her. "Zada.....why..?" Was what she mumbled a bit in her sleep. She was confused why he would have no problem in giving her as a gift to someone over a WEAPON of all things! It was a very hard and dark pill to swallow down, but there was a glimer of hope in the fact that she knew at some point Airo would come looking for her, maybe even be able to get her back away from this man she had no clue about much. Other than the fact that he was kind to her a bit when she needed it most, she didn't even really get much of a chance to talk to him as of yet.
  20.
  21. Shale His sleep didn't come as easily as before. Perhaps it was the guilt gnawing away at him. Trapping the woman here, just because he didn't want to be alone. Accepting her as payment for said weapon her brother requested. There wasn't any hesitation in the trade either, so Shale shouldn't feel completely guilty...Right? He could lie to himself all he wanted, for he gave Zada the idea in the first place. It wasn't verbal, not at first. Telltale signs were all over though. The emptiness of the cave, despite the variety of things he created. Items and nothing more. Single bedding, single seat, a small table, single utensils and the like. He was utterly alone in there and the offer was brought up. Shale could take care of Ari and she'd be...Willing to stay with him. There didn't need to be love between them, he didn't expect her to just fall into his...scaly arms and accept him right then and there. Could always let her go...That was simple to say. Go. A single word that wasn't even hard to say! Yet it never came, he wouldn't let her leave. At some point he had fallen asleep, a second, soon interrupted by a cold chill. The incarnate curled up some, but the thin blankets wouldn't do much. Despite his own body being hot, whatever it was was trying to wake him. He had no clue what was going on and preferred to be oblivious until he had no choice but to wake. That soon arrived as something smacked him in the face and crumbled. A growling snarl escaped him, hot steam mingling in the cold air and his eyes flashed open. Fiery, just like the heat building in his chest...Snow and ice greeted his sight and his mind tried to wrap around the vision he saw. He'd blink again and his eyes shifted to something more human. He'd pull himself upright and look at the melting snow then touched his face. Yes...That's what hit him, but how...? It all came from HER. Ari was the source as he could see the ice and snow spreading from her form. Shale rolled over onto his hands and knees, knowing he'd fall on his ass if he tried to stand."ARISU! His booming voice snapped in the cave. Soon flame shot from his mouth and melted the ice before him and soon he shot at the fire pit to re-ignite it. The flickering flames made the ice and snow glisten about them. Pretty, but something he didn't prefer!
  22.
  23. Universal ((Possible incoming!))
  24. Zada didn't care about anything, but what he wanted, so of course it was easy for him, just as easy that Shale accepted the offer, to give her as a payment. Love of family, espiecally his younger sister was null and void and most likely he was hoping Shale would just eat the girl. Of course he would have to deal with Airo once he managed to make his way back home and find out what he had done with Arisu. Then all bets were off, even would be so willing to murder him over it too, of course that was the plan in the first place and everything would be his, the money, the company, all the houses and realistate and the likes; of course Arisu would never see an ounce of it again. Her dreams seemed to keep spiral completely out of control as the walls began to grow more with ice and snow piles just littering the place everywhere. It was something she normally would of had control over, but due to the stress and heartbreak she felt from her very own brother they were out of control.Plus, that little drink he convinced her to take stripped her ablities right back down to as if she hadn't learned anything at all in her years of training. It was a HUGE set back espiecally since she had all nine of her tails, which also ment that they could really go all haywire from a simple movement from her. But as the dreams seemed to get deeper and deeper into her fear of having to be here forever wore on her mind, a loud booming voice made the young woman jolt up, with a gasp from her lips, which were paled at this point and seeming quite dry and cracked from the coldness of a bed she had been sleeping on. Her purple hues finally began to look around and wide went her eyes in unbelief! This can't be happening, she hadn't lost control since she was a little girl, and even then it was never THIS extensive. Then her eyes fell on Shale, a bit of fear in them, she didn't exactly mean to wake him with all of this. "S-Sorry..."She muttered softly as she raised her hands in an attempt to fix the situation, she usually could retract snow and ice back from where she had placed it. "I-I'll fix...it.." She told him, her voice sounded a bit horse from all the coughing and throwing up she had managed to do through the night. But just as she attempted to fix the issue, something WORSE happened! Shale would get a huge pile of snow all over him, with a loud enough thud to gain her attention, her eyes growing as big as saucers as well. He looked like a giant snowman, perfectly shaped too, but with actual arms instead of stick ones. Scrambling to her feet she felt her heart sink and grow with fear, both over Shale's reaction and that THIS was not supposed to happen! "Th-That's n-never ha-happened...b-before!" She squeaked out in a , it was clearly in her voice and she was utterly startled. She wanted to hide like right then "I had..had....full control...yesterday, morning when I woke up....and now no-none!" It was more than enough to scare her off so badly that she turned and ran, even with the ice, she seemd to be able to run on it flawlessly, and right out of the cave and down the hill. She had to hide! Now away from everyone and only put herself in harm's way, she was entirely to dangerous like this. Zada HAD to have done something to her there was no other way that it would all be out of her control. She was searching for a place to hide and burrow herself into, like all foxes when scared deeply she ran off.
  25.
  26. Shale HE could fix this, so long as the woman stopped creating more ice. Wake her up and he'd use his fire to melt the rest. Sure the cave may be muddy in places, which wouldn't make him happy, but at least it'd be warm again. Plus, if he was patient enough he could dry up the earthen floor and make it dusty again. Easy fix. Once she woke up though and he saw the fear on her face...When she looked at him...That pang of guilt hit him again. She saw him as a monster, this...He had accepted, really. He knew is fate and was fine with it. Sometimes though, he couldn't ignore it. This was one of those times and he looked away from her to focus on his 'artwork'. Most of it had been various swords and shields. He would start with those and make his way to the more 'advanced' weapons. He knew nothing about foxes and what their tails meant. When she offered to fix the problem, he shook his head. "It's fine." He could handle this. Still she tried and he ended up getting buried in snow. The sudden weight caught him off guard, followed by the chill that was able to pierce through his hide. Such a shock he'd remain stock still with his arms hanging out. Yup, perfect snowman. Had this been any other situation, this would have been funny. Sure he'd be annoyed at first, but the laughter would overtake the feeling. Once he got over the shock, he'd shiver and pop his head out of the top of the snowman. Thankfully the snow wasn't too thick and he could shake it off. The heat of his body tended to help with the escape. His brows furrowed over his green gaze as she admitted her loss of control. Loss, that shouldn't have happened at all! She had been ill through the night, this he heard off and on but ignored it. She had been confused when her brother left her behind. It was starting to tie together that Zada indeed had a key part in this, more than either of them knew. It's your fault. Came the nagging guilt again. He'd growl and shake off the rest of the snow while ignoring that little voice. Instead something else got his attention. Arisu taking off across the ice and out of the cave. "Wait!" He'd try and get out of the snow before instantly slipping and landing hard. Another snarling growl and flames erupted against the ground. He would be surrounded as the ice was melted away like nothing. His hands pressed into the dampen ground as he got up on all fours and took off towards the mouth of the cave. His gaze went from their normal green to burning orange, the scales about his shoulders crept quickly over the rest of his body. His arms shifted as did his fingers, becoming webbed wings. By the time he got out of the cave, the wyvern had taken over. A roar came forth before the beast took to the skies. Searching. Searching for Arisu kept the creature from heading into town.
  27.
  28. Universal: Once she had gotten up and was trying to fix the issues she had caused, she could tell there was a bit of a pang in his eyes over her reaction, though it wasn't so much over his looks, or what he was. She was fairly most accepting of people, but more so out of fear of making him angry, after all he could do things to her that would be hurtful or harmful; and no one could stop him from doing so. She was reminded with the simple fact that Zada had just up and gave her to him as if she was nothing more than money, how much was she really worth to someone who would be so willing to accept such a payment. The feeling of no longer having freedom to be where she wanted, coupled with the possibility of harm coming to her over this mess scared her more. So perhaps she felt as if he was a bit of a monster in that aspect, but species wise, not so much, though he seemed to be quiet dangerous there too. But after her complete and utter failed attempt at to restore order and instead dropped a huge pile of snow right over him, great! Normally she may have giggled quite a bit, as he did look quite silly, but all urges to laugh were long gone as the anxieties of the young woman filled her to the brim. Now she's made things worse for herself and will probably be punished or something the like over it!! Panic and set in fully was not going to make her stop her small running feet from ever slowing down until she felt safe. Of course the only way for that to happen was her to find a den of sorts to hide in, and calm down. Also for the safety of herself and of Shale, it would be really diffcult to control all of this, plus with the lack of sleep last night she was barely able to focus properly. She had heard him calling after her, but the words were lost on her as panic when it took ahold of her was the only thing that would drive her until that was worn out of her system. Swiftly down the hill and through the trees, as fast as she could without falling and tripping. Then again she was also in a place she never been before and so it was easy for her to get lost in among the trees, but spotting an area that seemed to look like a lovely place to hide. She ran right towards it, but as soon as she went past the last bit of trees and the light of that day hit her square in the face, she found to her horror that she was in a wide opened patch of long tall grass. It wasn't that small either, it had to be at least a good three or four miles wide around and was completely encompassed by trees. Just as she stepped foot in the tall grass, and moved forward a bit, she could hear that distinctive roar of his. Her head turned back towards the direction she came from there he was in all of his huge glory. A big beasty dragon, her heart sank as now she was surly going to be in even more trouble if he went this far to want to find her. The breeze blew against her long chocolatey locks reminding her she was out in the middle of the openness and he would be sure to spot her. As she would turn back to start running again it was difficult in her kimono and with the pieces of sticks and vines seemed to just try and trip her up, but what had ultimately done it was a log that was impossible to see. She would give a little squeal, as she felt herself twist her ankle and fall to the gound quite hard, tears were falling, as whimpers left her lips over it "o-ouch.." She would wince as she tried to move it. At this point she knew she would have to try and get up and walk on it, there wasn't time to do anything of that as she could feel the wind picking up quite a bit as she turned to try and stand up.

  30. Shale Shale didn't want to go this far, but it was getting more difficult to hold it back. He could have easily chased after her on the ground, but instead would take to the air. Was it a show of his own power? No, it was the fear and possession he invoked. What was his was HIS and no one else's. Yes, that was greed coming into play as well. Ari was his and with her running away like that...It wasn't going to happen. She could travel far and wide and he'd still try and track her down. Someone he didn't even know would be Shale's downfall into this creature. It was best for him to have just been alone in that cave, with the only company being his art and the occasional buyer. A few flaps of his wings sent the wyvern into the sky. He would have matched perfectly had it been dark, save for the molten glow that traveled through his scales. He had no qualms setting the whole place ablaze in order to draw her out, even though there was a chance he'd kill her. Perhaps it was her icy power that made him think she'd survive his fire. An excuse he thought worthy of the risk. His flames were beautiful and the weapons they created even more perfect... What could he do to an entire forest? Wood was something he never tried manipulating. What wonders could he create? The girl first, then he would see to some of the trees... His glowing gaze scanned the canopy, his nostrils flaring as he picked up her scent and his powerful wings sending gusts through the branches. It would continuously puff up her trail to him as did her feeling steps. He would look on ahead and saw that patch of tall grass. Cover on the ground, but in the open from the sky. He could see the grass bow to the intruder as Ari made her way through. One shot from his mouth and the whole field would go up in flames. Instead, he was patient and headed towards her. His clawed feet shifted some and talons spread to swoop down on her. If he landed, he would smash her, so the wyvern had to be careful and timely. The log took her out and he was right on her. One foot was enough to catch her and up they went into the air again. He rumbled/growled as they climbed further and further up. The beast didn't look at her, but instead tightened his grip a bit around her.
  31.
  32. Universal Honestly, though the girl had just been through a lot, and logical thought process was gone. Instead it was her most instinctual method of being a fox, run and hide from anything bigger and scarier than her. How had Arisu not lost her mind at this point, and the lack of feeling safe even in her own body now. Just kept feeding right back into it! So it just seemed her body was working on it's own sense of direction, whatever that maybe at this point. She needed to feel safe somewhere low in the earth to feel safe, anywhere else at this point wouldn't. This was her worst nightmare coming true, she just kept running and running, but could never get back, that's where it was that she could feel secure like nothing could hurt,at least when Airo was there. So for now her desire just kept growing, as she didn't get to much further in her panicked state, before the wind arounder her brushed her hair completely over the front of her head. Those chocolatey colored locks whipped around as she felt something clamp around her, the feeling of moving upward, made her freeze stiffly. Wait, why was she moving up? She grabbed as much of her hair out of the way as she could possibly gather, her eyes going wide seeing how far she was from the ground. A squeak barely leaving her lips, before the drifted to, something really big, wrapped around her and she glanced upwards as felt like she was just ready to die at this point. "PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!!" She streaked, this was worse! Intense punishment for her! Heights! Why would anyone do this!?! Swirly her claws dug into him for dear life, as if an animal had gotten stuck in a tree and unable to get down, his tightening grip, did little to comfort her.If she was going to die, it would be on the ground! Forget this she was contemplating letting herself fall from this point, it was no point in all of this anymore! And heights! The one thing that she hated beyond anything else was that. Wondering when this nightmare will end, she wanted to just wake back up at home, but she of course knew full well this was reality, and she was scared shitless, and will scold him about that later to! No heights period!
  33.
  34. Shale Up higher and higher, straight up into the sky! The air was getting colder, but he paid it no mind. How small would land and all its riches become? How far was he willing to go? Beyond the clouds and reaching to space if he could. Alas he was a creature and couldn't go into the endless night. The wyvern did however go nearly up to his limit, despite Ari's protests. Her attempts in making him let go were futile, for his blacken scales were made like armor. Had she not been moving, he wouldn't have even noticed she was there. Once he stopped, the beast flapped in place and curled his body some so his foot could be seen. Holding Ari as if she were some kind of toy. He would stare at her, clearly displeased with this whole situation. The wyvern could have just taken her back to the cave, but instead would give her a reminder. He could see she was scared of heights, unlike him. So without further hesitation, his talents would open. Let her cling out in the open if she could. The beast rumbled/growled and took off again, staying the same level as before with no sign of descending. He was proving a very harsh point and would not relent until she learned it.
  35.
  36. This was to much, even for her, there was no way she deserved this! It was insanity, she was completely petrified, higher and higher they went she just wanted this to stop. If phobia could ever come into play this would be exactly it, this was all Zada's fault! All of it! And there was just no way now, not with how crazy this Shale creature was upon the highest depths of cruel to boot! She'd never care about him, and now she was for sure over it, just wanted to be on the ground safely hidden away from everything, maybe she could pretend that she was truly back at home and not here of all places. The point that he reached his highest point, she could feel the air thinning, causing it to be harder for her breath on top of everything else. Even though her sharp claw like nails were digging into his armored skin, it wasn't so much as to get him to let go at this point it was so she wouldn't just fall down or fall from that insane height! But as he seendd to flap in place and curl her around to face him, she could easily tell he was displeased with her, she had already started crying as the tears fell from her eyes. The only other look on the poor girl's face that of sheer terror, but then there he went opened his talents, and she was struggling to cling to the creature, to point she did want to live, but there would be no point if Airo wouldn't be the one she could safely live with. His point was beyond proven by the point he grabbed her and she realized how high she was, that running away was a big big no no, for if there was every a beyond cruel and unusual punishment this would be it! Whines and whimpers and cries came from her "p-please....s-stop.." She squeaked out as best as she could. "W-Will...be-be g-good....p-promies" her squeakes and squeals kept on as her grip was slipping she was full on bawling by this point. Her entire body was so shocked that she was shivering in fear, it got to a point of paralyzing fear, that's all that it took and plop there went the claws, and her hurling towards the never ending fall right towards the ground. If he were to save her, she'd make sure to stay far far away from him, even if it meant having to hide far away from him inside that blasted cave! She had given up pretty much, her life just seemed over, completely and utterly over, a moment in life she never felt so alone. The darkness and weight of that seemed to take it's hold on her, the tears would fly off her face into small rain like droplets as she fell, all she could do was curl into herself and look up at the stars "...s-sorry...b-big...b-brother...A-Ario..." She barely whispered out. Some how she thought this was all her fault, but in reality she was innocent of any wrong doings.

  39. Once she had gotten up and was trying to fix the issues she had caused, she could tell there was a bit of a pang in his eyes over her reaction, though it wasn't so much over his looks, or what he was. 49. Shale (@Universal) Terrified...Was this what he was going to expect later on? Perhaps. Hopefully by then he wouldn't be aware of it. The wyvern would have fully taken over and his humanity was lost. Call him selfish, for he didn't want to know what the beast would do. Others more powerful would deal with it or maybe it would lay waste to any lands it reached. There was doubt he could do anything but watch in horror. It had created the look and sounds the fox made, but that wouldn't stop him. Shale only hesitated for the briefest of seconds before snatching her white pelt and pulling her out. He could feel every muscle of her being resist him, but it didn't do any good. What cries, shrieks, thrashing, biting or the like wouldn't release his grip upon her. The scaled man approached the flames and held her out towards the devastating power. A quick flick of the wrist and she'd be eaten up. In those brief moments, Ari was lowered and then suddenly wrapped up in a dark cloth. As much as she hated him, feared him and could very well be dead weight in his arms...He would plop down before the fire and set her in his lap. One arm held her close to his chest while the other hand hold of her icy paws and was gently rubbing them. His entire form was warm and the complete opposite of hers. His dragon like head leaned closely to her soft fur, his mouth mere inches from her ear. "I know you fear me...I know you'll always hate me...I've accepted this, but right now we're tending to you. Once the ice is gone I'll let you go." So she could hide away from him again.
  50.
  51. Universal Arisu was more than terrified, no more like petrified, she wanted nothing to do with him right now, and this all of this reach for and handling her wasn't helping a damn thing! Though she had no clue about the creatures own issues and she just didn't care to much currently, perhaps later on maybe, but currently she attempted to get as far back away from him. It was soon though noted that he wasn't going to stop chasing after her, then there was the staching up by her pelt, a small yelp left her snout. Right as he pulled her out, of course she was wiggling herself to try and get him to let her go, but her mawl was to small to try and turn around and bite him as a warning to just let her be. She would struggle more as she would notice they were headed towards the fire, he was gonna cook and eat her! That was the first thought in her frantic mind, causing more ice to grow up to her joints at her chest and hind legs. Being lowered down she would whine and whimper as she was shivering like mad, but she was a bit surprised as soon as she felt a black cloth being wrapped up in a black cloth. Of course this was causing panic, but a bit of confusion as well, he just took her for the scare beyond for the next five lifetimes, but yet he sat there and put her into his lap. A soft wince and whimper came from her as he held her with one arm, her body was cold and sore and she was starting to feel every ounce of it. The feeling of her paws being gently rubbed by his other hand only confused her more, and the warmth of his entire form seemed to be a strange comfort. What was completely wrong with her finding any comfort in the idiot that frightened her nearly to death! Yet, she managed to stop squirming trying to get away, partly because it was completely useless and the warmth was nice, a small breath came from her as she began to slowly calm down. Feeling him so close to her small fluffy ears, and then the words that followed, she would flicker her ears slightly as she heard him. Taking a small chance she would glance up at him, the fear still very there present, but so was exhaustion, but then the tears found their way back out of her eyes. She would close them a moment as she laid her head down against the arm that held her securely. Soft whimpers and shakes still coming from her small body, but the warmth was nice, and wasn't going to keep fighting it all. She was here forever right? So why not just try to make the best of it for now, plus the warmth was relaxing.
  52.
  53. Shale After speaking, Shale would sit like that in silence. Silence wasn't his friend, for it continuously brought up thoughts to be lost in. The thoughts were the same, playing over and over again like a record. The only times it seemed to stop was when he was distracted. Even his dreams were haunted by what may come, it was a wonder he got any sleep at all. The incarnate continued to rub her paws only and kept her close. The cloth he wrapped her in was feeding off the heat between him and the flames. She was going to be nice and toasty. There was no concern about the ice melting into the blanket, for it wouldn't be there long. Her struggles having ceased gave him a small sense of relief, but only time would tell if she'd ever trust him. This was a mistake, all of it. He shouldn't have accepted the trade and she would have been back home. It still wasn't too late, right? He could set her free or maybe take her home himself...Yet he couldn't as something held him back from doing so. He would feel her eyes upon him and Shale's fiery gaze flicked down. The look, the watery tears forming that slipped into that fur. This wasn't an animal staring back at him, but Shale had to pretend it was. He'd blink, his own eyes turning green and human for a moment before shifting back to orange and reptilian. He'd turn away and stare off into the fire again, trying to burn the image of her expression to ash. He'd continue to gently rub her paws, knowing this was the closest he'd get to holding her hand. Stupid man...Selfish stupid man. The only thing he was good for was destruction. His attention veered off to the various shields and weapons that decorated the cave. Either made by metal or formed from his own scales. They reflected their surroundings and he could see his warped image along with the small creature he held. His own eyes closed a moment and a rumble escaped his throat. Molten lines appeared about his neck and chin before steam escaped from his mouth. He felt like destroying everything in that silence, but resisted. Not here, not now. He'd shift Ari a bit and try to take a peek to see how much of the ice had melted away. It was her moment to escape him if she wished.
  54.
  55. Universal The silence was good for Arisu, she needed to just calm down, who wouldn't after such a long and frightful night before and day of freak outs, betrayals and horrible phobia's. Which thanks to Shale she was sure she'd never ever get over them or past them ever again. One firm resolve was that she'd never let her feet leave soild ground again, that was beyond certain, never in a plain, on a boat or any single thing. Not even a water park slide! It was pretty bad in that area to begin with, but now it was chained in her mind permately. The thoughts swirked in her own head too, between why did he have to scare her so badly, and why it was that he wanted to melt the ice off her body. She woukd of been content to be a frozen foxicicke for all eternity, at keast until her body turned to dust. But the warmth, how calm and relaxing was it starting to grow on her, like her own personal small den to hide in all cozy and warm. What was she thinking? Her mind was most defiantly confised and sorely broken, is this what extreme can do to someone? The continued rubbing of her paw was helping start thawing the ice, she managed to make a nice thick layer of it, but it was starting to drip down onto the dark cloth. She had no clue if she even should consider in trusting, after all he could est her in one go if he wanted to! Who in their right mind would want to trust that?? Yet, she wasn't one that was in her right mind. The more the feeking of warmth washed over her body the more even her heart rate would start to slow as well, calming the small fox. A small moment of her body as if just to readjust herself, curling her small nine tails around herself as they shared a momentary glance. She was also quite sad and hurt still, rememebering once again that Zada had done this all to her, and it was his faukt her powers didn't work at all now, and part of thw whole reason for how much she was frightened.Though she did notice the change in his eyes, maybe just maybe it might now be so bad, as long as she stayed in the cave right? Who knew, she didn't trust even her ownself how could she be willing to do anything else? Or trust anyone else right now. Though she jumped slightly at his rumbling, but didn't flea, that was useless and driven home more than she cared to try and think about. As he shifted her she would see that he was checking on her poor legs and paws, the ice was receeding, the bits that were creeping towards her form were already melted and working it's way down to her joints , a bit longer and she'd be free from the ice. "...s-sorry..." She managed out with a small sneeze, though tone quiet and small, she wasn't even sure he'd hear her. "...r-really...h-hurt..." She managed out in a whimper. Then they started all over again the tears, and whimpers, but not out of fear, more so of sadness.
  56.
  57. Shale Any ice he could pick off her would gently be removed. It seems they still had a ways to go despite the progress. Shale would bundle her up again, but not so tightly since she had calmed down. It would take time, a whole lot of time to mend what little trust he had created with her. This he understood. Whether or not it would heal by the time he was 'gone', remained to be seen. Come hell and high water he would keep the wyvern at bay for as long as he could. It was a self promise once more re-enforced. He didn't want her to look at him like that again, didn't want ANYONE to. It would start with Ari first though, seeing as she was trapped with him now. When she spoke, he did hear her. One of the advantages to his condition was the heighten senses. Shale shook his head when she apologized. "<i>I should be sorry...Not you. A...flower shouldn't be treated harshly.</i>" Her injuries were caused by him, Shale knew this and couldn't do anything but let her rest. Another gentle shift and he'd lay down, creating a wall she could easily get around. He wouldn't block her from leaving, should she try to sneak out while he slept. Though he had driven the point home, the incarnate knew he had over-reacted and should allow her freedom at her choosing. It may have been best for him to be alone in the cave. "<i>I can't take the pain away. All I can say is rest.</I>"

  62. Shale It had been a couple days since the incident and his 'guest' still hasn't eaten anything. Shale felt guilty for what happened and was still going about doing things wrong. He couldn't force her to like him, couldn't force her to come out of the hidey hole she found and couldn't force her to eat. So, he made the decision to let her leave. Rather than blocking the cave's entrance, he'd leave it open and try sleeping as far from it as possible. He was still near the fire though, keeping warm and drying out the cave when he could. He didn't like the damp cold, which made him and Ari more at odds. He was fire, she was ice and he knew he would destroy her at some point or another. His flames were abnormal and it wouldn't take much effort in burning everything down. Shale knew by now he should move, just abandon ship and find some place to be alone. Yet here he remained, a danger looming over the town and no one seemed too concern about it. Had he hid that side well enough? It would seem so. So...Maybe not all was as lost as he thought. Not yet anyway. The incarnate shook those thoughts away and went to the mouth of the cave. Another opportunity for Ari to run as the wyvern took over. The beast shook himself loose before crawling out and taking to the skies. Time would pass before he returned with remains of a deer hanging from his jaws. It would have been easier to have hands to carry, but oh well. He'd lumber on into the cave before dropping the meat in a pile. A hiss of steam escaped his nose and mouth. Turning his head to the reflective swords and shields, his inner eyelids blinked. A low rumble was soon followed by the sounds of his body shifting again. A growling groan escaped him and soon he was back to being...humanoid. He couldn't remember the last time he'd seen his real face and wouldn't dwell on it. Instead he'd prepare some of the meat over the fire while the rest was polished off and he laid back down just to relax.

  64. Universal After Shale brought her back to the cave, she struggled with the ice more times than she cared to think about, but ended up sleeping near him each time it got unbearable. Other than that she wouldn't do much else, he had broken her hope, and anything else was squashed that night, so eating was the last thing on her mind as was even bathing too, which was an odd even for her, then again one never found them in theses situations that often. So during the days she would spend her time just hiding away from him despite the entrance being unblocked from her, she knew better than to even think of trying to leave. Though she knew she would need to find a way to gain control of her powers again, or at least something to stop them all from going haywire, as she knew there was more than just ice in there, but due to fear it was all that would manifest itself. And once again she could hear the changes as he seemed to wonder out towards the mouth of the cave again and take off, really it seemed to the only time she would truly get rest or the heat that surrounded her when she needed it. So instead of leaving, which would be stupid she knew she would surely die at this point if she tried a second time. She was far from naive at this point to think it would change, caged up, at his side at least until he killed her, was the thoughts that swirled in her mind on repeat. Yet, another thought kept nagging at the back of her mind of his helping her to melt the ice on her paws and legs; and the way he cared for her wasn't anything like what he turned into. She hadn't even bothered to try and shift back to her more human state, mostly due to her clothes being as muddy as they were. Then the sounds of flapping wings and grumbles and rumbles being heard she knew he was back with whatever he done. She could smell the blood, so perhaps he just gone to get food. The thought of food made her stomach ache deeply as it had been a while since she had anything to eat, jumping slightly at the sounds of cracking and shifting happened. But once she heard the moving about slow down and the smell of cooked meats hit her nose she was slightly more interested in coming out of hiding. First slowly peeking her head out to see if it was going to be safe enough to do so, before she slowly inched her way out of hiding, then she slowly and as quietly as possible made her way over towards the fire and Shale. Stopping a moment to look at him then to the fire with the meat cooking, she wanted to eat it, but knew he just recently put it on and wouldn't be ready for a bit, so turning to her icy paws she would pat them on the ground gently to shake off what she could. Then shifting towards him slowly, before her tails curled around her body and she turned in circles to lay right next to him. A light nudge against him with her slightly cooled nose, she wasn't sure if she should talk to him about what she wanted to do or not, but it would be a small start.
  65.
  66. Shale He was unsure of whether or not she would eat raw meat. Had he known, he would have left her some or hadn't tried to cook at all. The latter though, made him still feel like a person. So in away, the sizzling meal was a benefit to both of them. Shale wouldn't doze off as he laid there, simply listening to everything going on in the cave. It was quiet, with only the fire and his own breathing being a disturbance. Well, not completely true, for his 'guest' was heard in the stillness, when she allowed it. The incarnate wouldn't bother her this time and allow the kitsune to approach at will. He figured she'd eventually come out of hiding, because she had dashed to the fire every so often. If she snoozed near it, he wouldn't disturb her, if she fled back to the hole, he wouldn't try to catch her. It would be just like before, or so he thought. Shale would reach out towards the spits and rotate the meat as the scent of it filled the cave. If only he had some seasonings maybe? Baby steps. He couldn't remember how to fix it up anyway. He inhaled and sighed before laying back down again. His golden gaze simply starting as his mind began to wander. He wouldn't hear Ari, not until the little fox nudged him. His inner lids blinked before he looked down at her. The wyvern was forever there, it was something she'd have to get use to until she got the nerve to leave. "<i>Still having trouble?</I>" He'd ask as he noticed the ice. Asking her why she was still here was a stupid question. He knew, despite all the opportunities she had to go. The beast would track her down and torture her again. Up to the sky and dropping her once seemed to be enough. Another inhale and a rumbled sigh. "<i>Sorry would never be enough.</I>" He admitted. Shale would have to be patient and even then he knew the rift would never be mended. Shale looked away from her, to the meat then off to her muddy dress. "<i>That looks ruined.</i>" He'd move to sit up, turning the meat again before testing it. His fingers pinched it despite how hot the food was. "<i>It's about ready, if you're interested.<i>" Without looking at her, he continued. "<i>Maybe you can go to town and look for another dress.</I>" Surely he wasn't going to go, not like this.
  67.
  68. Universal Arisu wasn't one who tended to eat raw meat, that would most likely never go away, but for now the smells of the cooking meat was what had gotten her attention. She would be trying to keep her heart steady as she approached him, the fire and the meat, but it did rise a bit as the fear she held of him was still strongly there. Though she was learning that as long as he was more human than dragon beasty she would be a bit safer, if that was really any comfort to her, yet her mind kept nagging at her that there was more there. Maybe she should try and trust him a bit and open up right? What could it hurt? Well a whole lot, as if it was possible, she was already frightened into submission of staying there, she wouldn't leave the cave unless otherwise stated she would be able to. Even then she knew it wouldn't be to far she'd be able to go off on her own, she still couldn't believe Zada sold her as partial payment for a weapon. That was probably the truly one thing she was angry, well not just angry, but furious at that gave her something else to focus on; she just hoped that idiot would die, yet the damages were already done to her mind, and she knew that too. Spinning further into her tails a soft sigh left her muzzle, before slightly sneezing, she was weak and still very ill from the freezing fear that still seemed to giving her more troubles when she wanted it to stop. The nerve needed to leave, well that was just simply not there, she had accepted her fate a few days ago, but she was finally coming down off that fear, and mostly moping about in a saddened manner, and dealing with out of control powers. "Yes....I um...th-think...h-he d-did it-it...to-to me.." She finally spoke back since the first night she said anything really, she couldn't remember what it was she even said. Referring to her second oldest brother, who was so willing to throw her away to someone they didn't even know. Shaking her paws a bit more as more ice seemed to be falling off a bit and she was glad for it. She had to find him, the guy that maybe able to at least calm them back down, or make her something to keep them in check until she mastered them all over again. Ari stiffed a bit at his rumbling sigh and words, but something kept nagging at her to just ask, there wasn't anything worse he could do at this point, besides kill her. "...why?..wh-why did...y-you j-just...a-accept h-his of-offer?" She softly questioned him. She couldn't change anything and knew that, she couldn't get her hands on her brother and rip him to shreds for this as he took any ability she had to do do from her. So the least she figured she deserved was an answer from the one person she'd be spending the rest of her life with. Her voice sounded strained and horse a bit, she had been crying so much already with a strained voice from screaming a few days earlier, it seemed to be slowly coming back. Her eyes finally drifted to her dress that was muddy and would be impossible to clean by this point "...l-least...it-it wasn't...m-my b-best o-one.." She muttered a bit. Yes her 'bratty princess vibe' as still slightly there as she sighed and was almost ready to resign herself to this state of living just so she wouldn't be without warmth, or bare before someone she didn't exactly know. "I...uh.." She began as she coughed and sneezed a bit before clearing her throat a bit before she shifted and looked down at her paws. "I'd get...lost...g-going o-on m-my own...p-plus th-there is um...someone I know....th-that c-can help...fix...this issue.." She told him gently as she patted her paws against the ground a bit and more ice fell off of them. Then before she could think through the next thought, it just slipped out "I know...they...can help you too...i-if it-it's what-what y-you w-wish.." She told him gently as she licked the front of her muzzle the food did smell good. Usually she wouldn't be so barbaric in the desire to shred the meat in front of her, but being this hungry and more fox than human right now; it all took over and she would inch closer to the meat, attempting to take a piece off for herself. But it was a miserable fail, as she tumbled backwards and landed on her backside, she hadn't ever been beast like and had no ability to tear things up or apart whenever she was in her small fox form. She was perhaps just born without the natural instincts to attack something, which just made her look more and more defenseless against anyone or thing bigger than her; Shale.
  69.
  70. Shale He quirked a brow, or as best he could with those scales. So...She thinks her brother did this? The man seemed that way and Shale didn't know him. The weapon he crafted was a powerful one, but so long as he got paid, he didn't question. If a client started talking about the item though, only then might he ask. Weapons were made to hurt others, this he knew from experience. Sometimes though he got collectors wanting something unique. More power to the decorative aspect vs the other. He himself had decorated the cave with various things. Then again, he had a bout of creativity and couldn't stop. Should anyone want what he had on the walls, he was willing to part with them. For now though, no one visited and his collection remained untouched. He'd then lean over for a clean plate (for he hardly used them) and pulled it closer. When he heard the 'why' the incarnate paused. As the rest followed he'd fiddle with the spit some and prepare to transfer the meat. "<i>Selfish.</i>" Came the single word. He thought it best described what he was doing. Not just blaming the wyvern for it either. Shale wanted a companion as did the beast. They were just... going about it the wrong way. "<i>He offered a...beautiful, caring maiden.</i>" He shrugged his broad shoulders. "<I>How could I resist?</i>" There was more to it, but he didn't say. The meat was still steaming when he pulled it from the fire and laid it on the plate. Was it true that she'd get lost in these woods? She was a fox afterall and should have some sense on where to go. Then again, seeing how she was in human form, any sort of senses came into question. She had ran blindly away and if he remembered right it wasn't straight in the town's direction. He had gone there himself once or twice, but even if he didn't, he knew where to go. Shale's thoughts would freeze as his body tensed. Did she know someone there? Had Zada been lying about her being a complete stranger? "<i>Who?</I>" He asked quickly. Then came the offer of aiding him as well. He would turn to face her now. "<i>How?</i>" My was he sounding like an owl there. Of course he wanted help, at least in controlling his condition. He had gotten use to the power it held and didn't want to give that up. "<i>Careful.</i>" He'd wait for her to answer as he searched for some utensils. Bratty princess of course, needed to have the proper cutlery. He was more than glad to rip the meat apart for her, should she need help. "<i>You going to stay like this?</I>" He was just curious. It was a miracle already that she was speaking to him. Now would there be a second step?
  71.
  72. Universal Of course she knew her brother did this, she does remember who she left the house that night, she wasn't dense, she just had a lot going on, but thinking was the only thing she had for herself. Being able to stay away from him and calm down, was adrenalin heightened for a while there, all the while trying to just process everything that's happened to her. But at the same time to her they both played a part in this either way, and she at least deserved to know what his reasoning was. She could careless about the weapon it was a vile thing to her anyways, it deserved no recognition at all. Knowing Zada it would shed innocent blood, he was no where near an angel. This fits right into his distaste of her and she knew that, but Airo assured her she would still be safe with him and he was wrong. His word caused her head to tilt slightly, before he continued his exploitation, her face fell and was replaced with irritation and a bit of anger."Surly you are very much like all men of course, should this woman not be surprised?" She scoffed a bit as she felt completely humiliated at this all. Just because a pretty woman is offered you don't just take it! The thought of wanting to just die surfaced in her thoughts again as it reminded her she wasn't free once again. He also still scared her half to death and this was the best answer he had, thinking with some other mind, instead of asking questions and thinking it through, foolish; just so foolish. Focusing on the meat she could feel her stomach ache for just a small nibble of it, her body needed substance and it was offered. He offered it, so he should care to some degree right? Came the thought question as she looked at him she really knew nothing about him, but she did study lore, and well she remembered what he was called and the affects it has on their bodies. Who know there would actually be one around."He's my previous sensei, teacher; when I was younger I had a bit of a similar, but not such extreme issue with my abilities ...and created a pendant to help gain control over them until I learned how to do it naturally, so I know he is skilled enough to give you something to slow the rage of change, as a Lady when you've nothing else to do, you read, and read a lot" she replied in a soft information tone. But at her attempt to grab a bit of food, and failed, she would give a huff with her nose out of a bit of frustration; cheeks slightly warming under her fur, lest she could hide that a bit. See he cares? Right? What is she thinking her mind feels like it's under attack, but she froze in her place and looked at him a moment, then herself, then off towards her dress and not seeing many other options. "What!?? Yes! Have you lost your mind? There is no way that is going to get clean at all, it's ruined, on top of that! I am not going to put that back on my body, and there is no way ...I...I am...g-going to-to be-be wi-without...c-clothes!" She squeaked out as that thought made her tails poof out and try to hide her body best she could. It wasn't his to look at! He hasn't earn much of a right to anyways! She's still angry with him and this wasn't going to work like that, but letting him in, little bit, or a small bond of wanting food, at least. But why did she offer to get him help exactly? Did she feel bad for him? It's possible, but if so why? Hess done nothing worth doing so, but she wanted to help a bit, this was so confusing trying to remember a bit of training to try and go with the flow of the river at times in stressful situations. She was staring at the meat again, clearly that fully won over everything else, she was hungry and wasn't feeling to picky over it, shifting up to it to nudge for a piece.
  73.
  74. Shale "<i>Could be far worse.</I>" He warned. Shale could have done far far worse to her besides the heights and a muddy dress. Sure his manners weren't up to par and his thinking was screwy, but that's all she could fault him for. He kept the cavern warm and dry for the most part, helped her when her paws iced over and threatened the rest of her furry form. Gave her space when she needed afterwards and offered her food a few times. The offerings only stopped when he grew impatient and didn't want to waste his catches on her fearfulness. Rather than throwing this latest meal on the ground and serving her like she was some kind of animal, he had it placed upon a plate with silverware. She could eat any way she wanted, but that was at least first option. It was never enough though, probably right up there with 'sorry'. It would take alot more to impress her and maybe he might make the effort. Maybe. For now it was the small step of the dress offering. He had money stored away and could easily pay for a couple new ones. Even fancy if she so wished. The suggestion of her teacher possibly giving him something did get his attention. Shale tried not to look too eager though, figuring there was some high price or condition in order to make it happen. He didn't really have much choice in the matter though, it all depended on the exchange and whether or not he could accept it. Money really wasn't an issue, his very life though, that'd be as big a problem as he had now. It would be safer for all if he did die, but he was far from ready for it. The wyvern itself wouldn't go down easily either. At her response about changing shape, a sad smile crossed the incarnate's face. "<i>Maybe I have.</i>" It would explain alot of his questioning motives lately. The sadness lifted a bit when he saw her tails poof out. He'd give a light chuckle and shake his head before getting up to his feet. "<i>We better fix that then, after you eat.</i>" He wandered over to her dress and picked it up. It would be held out as if he were examining it and she'd see how ruined it was further. The material may still be useful for something, maybe. Shale wandered towards the back of the cavern, where the dress was replaced with some older clothing. Manly was the first word that came to mind, far from being anything delicate. It was the remains of one of his outfits before the changes happened. He'd set them down near her. "<i>They'll be baggy on you, but nothing should drop.</i>" Oh the look on her face if that'd happen! The incarnate was on the move again and stopping just outside the cave to give her privacy.
  75.
  76. Universal "Far worse?" She questioned with a scoffing tone "let's paint a picture for you, then, so that you might have any to some idea of the hell, you and my dearly beloved brother have put me through!" She had finally sapped a bit, anger was flowing at this point, and currently it wasn't backing down or being afraid. "He brought me all the way out her, away from my home, where I was perfectly safe and pursing what it was that I dreamed of doing for the rest of my life, stripped me of the only ability I had to protect myself or even leave from this situation! Making me violently ill, to only discover that my abilities , are beyond my reach, because if you haven't exactly noticed I have zero abilities as a natural fox, it's the one thing I was born without!" She rattled off to him, but she wasn't finished by a long shot tearing him a new asshole. "You willingly accepted my brother's exchange of a deadly weapon for gold and me, all because your either to scared to go out and meet someone in a normal fashion, or your just so focused thinking with the head between your legs instead of the on your shoulders. All the while, so many innocent people would be getting hurt, due to just me knowing how my brother is, but big bad scary dragon, has what he wants right?" She asked as her tone remained filled with anger. How could he expect her not to be this way? Usually after hurt, comes fear then anger, and it was coming out stronger than before. "So instead of just being patient or anything else to help me adjust to my waking fright to find how bad my own power is out of control, you do the ONE thing I detest more than anything else, and take me to a height that is and will forever be a place I will never allow myself to go! You have stripped me of my freedom, my right to choose where I want to go, who I want to be with, all because you believed someone's word, and didn't even stop once to ask me if any of this was okay with me?! So tell me how much worse can it possibly get, when at this point I just wish I was dead!? Then maybe just maybe I might have some comfort of peace of being with my parents again!" There it was all out on the table, and then there they started flowing again, the tears just rolled freely from her cheeks. "...as far as I'm concerned, you both...have played your parts, and played me as a pawn piece to get what you both desired, and if I didn't do what you want, scared me into a place where I'm completely and utterly broken; sounds like you two would be two perfect peas in a pod" she told him. "One would think that a wayvern being seen as less than human, wouldn't ever treat anyone else the same, but I guess that is naive thinking isn't?" She spoke more in a rhetorical manner as the tears kept falling. She lost her entire world in a single day, there was no way it was going to be easily forgiven of him, no matter what he bought her even if it was the whole world, as the truth of the matter she knew it too, she would forever be his until the last breath left her lips. Taking small slow breaths, she didn't want to upset herself to the point not desiring to eat again, she needed to try, wanted to try and make this as somewhat decent as she could. Was she apologetic for what she said, no, she was in pain in ways that nothing would heal it. "...maybe so..." She just muttered back quietly as she had hid herself from his view with frizzed out tails. She would look at the clothes, then to her body and knew there was no fixing that dress, but she would give a small "thanks.." As he gabe her old, and very manly clothes. So as he stepped off she would take the clothes and tug them further away from prying eyes, before shifting and slipping into the shirt and pants. Pulling them as tight as she could around her body, the shirt was just a giant dress and the pants well two of her could fit into one leg if it was needed. "Baggy....their more like a giant sack.." She muttered out as she finally was human again, her long brown locks cascaded down her back and against her face as she fiddled with the food on the plate, maybe she had already lost whatever appetite she had. She was still very weak and knew that, but found the task to eat much harder than it had been before. She was to hard on him, and she knew it, but could one blame her, her heart was broken and chained up to Shale; there was nothing she could do.
  77.
  78. Shale It took, every single ounce of him, not to incinerate her then and there. She wanted death so badly? He would gladly bring it! This was why he wasn't used in battle, for he would have been lost and guilty when found. Death wasn't his thing, no, crafting was and that's why his cave was littered in weapons and the like. Shiny, beautiful, deadly. Not a single thing he created was cheap. Shale was fully aware that he had done her wrong, but to be compared to her brother, to be thinking with...If he had been, they wouldn't be having this conversation. She would be far, FAR beyond broken if he had his way with her. Never had he ravaged anyone nor did he intend to, even with her venomous words. He had to remember she was scared and angry, but by God testing the beast that was taking him over, she truly wanted to die. How easily he could have turned around, the last thing she'd see was his flame consuming the whole cave. What on earth stopped him? Shale wasn't a murderer and his precious crafts would be ruined along with her. He would truly be a monster and would take out the whole town too while he was at it. Consume the whole forest, every god damn tree, rock, creature til it was nothing but blacken ground. Then what? He'd move onto the next place and the next and the next. Never stopping until someone took him out and that would be no easy feat. He remained outside, out of privacy and so not to tear her a new one himself. He had given her plenty of times to leave, yet she remained there out of fear of what he may do. His skin began to glow between the scales, fire building up as the wyvern was trying to surface. No more talk, death was what she wanted. He would provide it. Steam escaped his mouth and Shale soon placed a hand over it, as if to stop the fire that was bellowing up. He needed to calm, needed to be in charge of this and let her rant and rave. His interest in her teacher helping was gone, taking her to town to get new clothes, gone. "<i>I don't.</I>" He said quietly. He didn't have what he wanted, no. Just moving his mouth caused more steam and suddenly he roared out. Flames where fired into the sky and once he was done he'd turn around. Dressed or not, Shale stormed into the cave. He'd grab hold of Ari and her plate before pulling her towards the entrance of the cave. "<i>GET OUT!</I>" He had allowed her so many times to leave and she didn't. Out of fear of what he may do. Well know what? She was brave enough to open her mouth and challenge him to do something and here it is! He didn't need her, didn't need anybody! He had his weapons and loneliness to keep him company. It was tolerable then and should be now. "<i>Town's a straight shot, even your lousy instincts can't louse that up!</i>" He snapped. She could go find her fucking teacher too! Someone there would help the poor damsel in distress. He wasn't any hero, just the monster that held her captive and the monster that would kill innocents through her brother. Two peas in a pod? Wasn't that how she described it?
  79.
  80. Universal She knew she was pushing it, but if she couldn't at least freely speak how she felt, then there was absolutely no point in 'trying to make the best' out of a situation like this! And anger was one of those things that tended to cause people to say things they really don't mean, and comparing him to her brother, yes it was wrong, but she was furious. She couldn't get back at the man for what he had done, just off and sold her to some stranger, and in this she knew she was pushing back and testing the waters. When the feeling of one's hope being crushed into nothingness, she gave up on life; what did he expect or even want from her anyways? To just jump right in and forgive him? It wasn't that easy, though the choice could be simple, doing it was another story all together. But, hasn't he not taken care of her when she needed it most? Yes, but it was probably just out of guilt or pity, or maybe it could be something more? The thoughts swirled in her head, making her feel more and more conflicted with what she said. It's not fair she would forgive someone so quickly and ready to give away a mass destruction item, for gold and a woman. Who does that? There came the tears again, she couldn't stop crying, why was this all so hard to deal with? It was giving her headache, and yet he was just quiet, aside from shooting off a few fire balls out into the open, which did make her jump slightly. Though what about her teacher? She needed help, and clearly so did he, would she revoke her word about it? No she wasn't the type of woman to do so. She knew he was the best option they had at being anywhere somewhat normal, she couldn't go anywhere not with her powers so, haywire. She would never forgive herself if she accidently hurt someone else. Just then though she was instantly draw from her thoughts and tears as she felt a rough, warm arm gripping her and her plate up. A squeal left her lips as she felt him pulling her towards the cave, yep this was it, her life was completely over. So she thought, until she jumped and stiffed at his yelling of her to get out, but she remained quiet. First option was to do as he said and leave, second option to stay and apologize for being a bit harsh, third option was to simply not move from where he pulled her to. The first option was out of the question, even if he was letting her go now, there is no guarantee that the beast inside of him will stop at nothing to bring her back to her new home. This point, was well driven home, more than it was needed, she maybe hopeless, but naive wasn't exactly one of them, entirely at least. She wasn't in a mood to apologize just yet, so this left her just standing there, his words cut deep, of course she wished she had the talents of her older brothers, but instead she gained the elements and was often completely direction inept. She knew this very well, it would be easy for her to 'louse' it up, in his words quite easily. So she just stood there, not moving or speaking or replying, yes it would seem she was indeed staying, it was the best option she had, and it wouldn't be an easy decision, but she made up her mind. With the limited options she had to pick from that was, plus a nagging feeling that he was just putting up a front, and that he did care, and she would be safeish with him. She was dooming herself forever it seemed.
  81.
  82. Shale There was a glimmer that maybe she would forgive him right away. Well more like a wet match in a dark cave. He knew it'd take time, but her words had hurt. Shale was fully aware that he deserved every bit of it. It may be the wyvern, himself or now the combo of both that dictated his actions. Whomever it was was royally messing up. And it seemed by removing her from the cave would be removing that mistake. From what Ari said, there was a teacher. That person he assumed was in town and she could get them to take her home. He would remain where he was now and wouldn't chase after them. At least that was the plan. In all honesty he was unsure of what would happen if she tried to leave. Would the beast track her down? Was it out of liking her or being possessive? He was never sure about its actions besides the devastation it could cause, wanted to cause. If only they were in the same wavelength there. Shale would never forgive himself if he caused an innocent harm. It was what he was doing now with her, right? Was that saying 'sacrifice one to save many'? Something along those lines. No one in town knew she was even here and they briefly knew of him. Her cry when he moved her fell on deaf ears, but would repeat once he calmed down. He was treating her so roughly, out of anger and to show that there were other ways he could make life miserable. At least he left her out there with her food, so she had the energy to leave. His skin still glowed between scales, as if he had molten lava coursing through. No more fire would be spent this evening, even though the steam escaping from him said otherwise. "<i>Well? Get!</i>" He made the shooing motion, so very done with her presence. Tears wouldn't sway him, her standing there wouldn't either. She could freeze to death and he wouldn't bat an eye. That's what he was trying to convince himself of. If the cave had a door, he'd be slamming it right now. Instead, Shale would turn around and go back to the very back BACK of the cave. Away from the fire, to be covered in darkness and pretty much mope. If she tried to come back in, there was a chance he'd try to chase her out again or simply just give up.
  83.
  84. Universal A sigh left her lips she was tired, in everyway possible, with her mind being pulled in every direction possible, yet she remained standing there. Even if she were to go she knew that dragon would not let h er go, just been after one moment of freaking out he came right after her. There was no way she'd get to far without having added punishment to the growing list I fears: he knew her deepest fear already, heights. From the lore she read, if she remembered right incarnates, are extremely possessive over what or in this case who belongs to them. Well not that there is much there, when it came to mates, it was until one of them died, what a pain this all was and yet she moved not an inch. Even at his shooing motion and words, there were not that many choices to make! Yet, here he was telling her to leave, yet deep down they both knew that wouldn't truly happen. She could hear his heavy footsteps fade towards the back of the cave and fade softer, maybe he was going to nap. Looking down at the plate of food she would move to take a bite of it, yuck! He needs to learn how to cook, maybe she should at least teach him how to, yes that's a good idea! What was she thinking!? Ugh! This was way to complicated and he was just being a big baby because he didn't like the truth being told straight to his face. He screwed up and should pay for it, yet he looked so lonely, miserable, and sad; she can't leave him like this, but why not?? Perhaps not all of her was lost, and parts of her caring nature still remains. So with a deep breath, before she turned on her heals back into the cave bare feet, and setting the plate near the fire to warm. Then arranging their beds, close to the fire and a blanket, she finally shifted over to Shale and cleared her throat "...sorry...I had no right to compare you to him...." She began slowly as she took a bit of a shaky breath, before grabbing his arm and tugging him along towards the warning beds. "...because your not...and have your own faults as anyone else does.." She spoke as she tried to get him to lay in the warmth, if he did so she would cover him with a blanket. "I meant what I said about my teacher...but more importantly.." She trailed off "...you need to learn how to cook.." She told him as she picked up the warm plate and fussed with the meat on the fork, as she stayed near him and the fire as she picked at it.

  86. Shale Yes, despite the front Shale tried to put up, he was an emotional man. Well, more stressed out than emotional. His thinking was affecting his actions, the comparison she made, laying everything out in the open like that when he was trying to make amends. Yes, it was much better to be alone. He didn't understand why she didn't just LEAVE, or maybe it was...He didn't want to. The wyvern was the true danger here and it would hunt her down once it came to the surface again. No matter what Shale did, its will was much stronger than his and getting worse as time went on. She had become a prisoner to the beast as well, that was the conclusion. It meant nothing if he kicked her out, she'd always return unless killed or the reptile's attention went elsewhere. He should make more things, yes, that always made him happy. Overflow the cave with every single thing his imagination could muster. He could create far more deadlier things than what he brother requested, for that was far from a masterpiece. Keep going until he finally had something worthy to stop all his creations. It would keep him so occupied that the sadness would stay away. The idea wasn't the best thought to come, but hey he was trying. Shale was going to be alone here and may as well find something to focus on. Anything to focus on. Her footfalls got his attention and the incarnate just wanted to burrow deeper into the darkness. By now the rivulets of heat between his scales had died down, but it didn't make him completely invisible. He would never be one with the dark as much as he wanted to. Ari's apology got him to quietly move and turn his green gaze to look upon her. Human eyes, looking upon her from the face of an animal. Surprise was clear on features when she took hold of his arm and pulled to guide him. He was lucky enough to have her come near earlier, but only because of food and to rid herself of the forming ice. This felt different and he wouldn't question it. He would follow her back to the bedding and laid on his own. He became even more surprised when she covered him. Shale hadn't lied about being told she was caring. He continued to remain quiet, as if fearing he'd ruin the moment. It was only when she mentioned how bad of a cook he was, did a laugh escape him. The next day came quickly and he actually had a visitor. Well, more along the lines of a buyer. Seems he still had a bit of a reputation in town of having unique items as well as custom crafting. He could tell the man was nervous, but at least he hid it well. Even as the buyer came into the cave, he tried to hold his nerve and look upon the wondrous items Shale had. Various things were spoken about while the customer searched for the perfect Christmas gift. Reason why he was there, how his kid was into anything medieval, what were some things made of, what was the price of custom items...Not once did he ask about Shale's appearance, which was a relief. Then there was mention of some gala going on the next evening and whether or not he was going to go. It was open as far as he was aware of, no fancy invitations and the like. Once he found and paid for the item, they were alone again. Shale was thinking about that party and knew it was a risk to go. Maybe he could just walk her there and drop Ari off to mingle with others. Just to show she can get away any time. Maybe, maybe the beast would be civil and go looking for her nicely vs swooping from the heavens to pluck her from the ground. He growled at himself and shook his head. There was a risk and surely he couldn't attend this thing, not like this. Ari had mentioned her teacher again, but where exactly was he? "<i>Do...You want to go to a party?</I>" Well, better now than never right?
  87.
  88. Universal Arisu had no idea what she was doing, none whatsoever, but she knew leaving wasn't exactly an option, though it was, but that was to be a fatal mistake by this point surly. Though she felt exhausted, weak and just truly down right depressed with the situation she found herself in, she did want to live, at least part of her. Coming around to accept this was not easy by a long shot, and anger still persisted at him, but hopefully it would subside eventually, as there wasn't much else to do. But being that harsh to him was truly uncalled for, and she wasn't one to not apologize for what she had done wrong, it wasn't who she was. Though he could probably learn a thing or two about the same, then again he was trying and she needed to give him credit for that. It wasn't like he knew her brother was a snake. Part of her wanted to believe that if he had, he'd just probably turn the man away, but it wasn't how the fate of hers fell. Airo was still on her mind and she at least hoped eventually she would at least be able to see him again, he was the only one out of the two that cared about her. He always told her never to go to bed angry, or let the sun go down when you've had a fight with someone, if you were wrong apologize, and that was what she did. She was slightly surprised herself to see those green eyes, they honestly were drop dead gorgeous on him, despite his more animalistic looking features. Maybe she could get lost in those, she quickly shoved that aside to get him to rest in his bedding, this though will have to seriously change in here too, so she could rest comfortably. That would be for another day, finally he was in bed instead moping about and she was trying to eat the food he cooked, but it was so bad, add that to her list, pots and pans to cook in, maybe even get him to make her a little kitchen area. Boy did she miss running water, she would also need to take a bath soon. She would blush lightly at his laugh about his food, but it was true he really needed some cooking lessons. The next day, she would get Shale to heat her some water up and she would try soaking the dress of hers to try and get as much mud out as possible before she set to hand scrubbing it. Her long brown locks tied back into a low ponytail at the base of her neck, allowing a few strands to fall loose on the side of her face as she worked to free it from the stains. While she liked the dress, it wasn't worth this mess, she may just have to surrender to the entire thing being ruined truly, maybe used for rags or something. A visitor? Well maybe he wasn't completely inept at what dhe was doing, it wasn't like he wasn't making money, plus whatever he stored away and what Zada offered him, which was a pretty price indeed. She just simplest gave the man a light smile before setting back to work on the dress. As she went she would scrub a bit to hard and cut her fingers a bit "ouch!" She would wince as she felt tears prick her eyes. She always had others to help with the cleaning, sure she knew how to cook, because she enjoyed doing so, but the rest not so much. Other than today her hands were soft and gentle free from callouses, indicating any hard labor wasn't her thing. But as she was drying her hands she continued to try to stop the bleeding , well it wasn't the worst thing in the world to happen. Before she heard Shale's words, she'd look up and notice while she was fixated on what she was doing they were alone again amd she looked at him with a bit of surprise in her eyes. Then fell to her clothes and sighed a bit "I do love parties....but I honestly have nothing to wear, and I couldn't go due to well this powers issues.." She to him as she looked down at the now frozen water with her dress still in it. "It would be wiser to seek out Mr.Toshiba first, he can fix this even if it's just until I learn how to cope with my powers again...plus I'm sure he can do something about your issue, and he can be here in absolutely no time at all, I just need a phone to call him on.." She told Shale as she sat against her knees placing her hands on her legs.
  89.
  90. Shale All she had to do was ask and he'd make the best and prettiest pots and pans she'd ever laid eyes on. He was an artist at heart and enjoyed creating things. Of course his profession was far from household objects. Along with his condition, those things were far from mind. That poor dress of hers was indeed ruined, least by the looks of things. Still he applauded her for trying to clean it. He would have tried it himself if things hadn't gone south like they did. Now was too late, though he couldn't do much worse, right? The ouch had been heard, but he didn't bother to check it out. He was busy with a customer and had it been bad, she should have gotten his attention. The scent of blood did tickle his nose, but there wasn't alot of it, so she'd live. "<i>We can go to town and find a shop.</i>" He offered. By now he was mostly over his own hurt and anger and the suggestion was up again. Also, she was still keeping what she said earlier too, that this 'Mr Toshiba' could help him too. Shale would walk over to where she was and look at the frozen bucket. Crouching down, he'd lean forward and gently blow. The heat of his breath would melt the ice and warm the water again. Any more than that and he risked burning or incinerating the bucket and all its contents. His green gaze flicked to Ari as she spoke of calling the man. "<I>Phone call hmm?</I>" He repeated before rising and walking to the back of the cave again. He had little ledges here and there that acted like shelves as well as holes to store things. The incarnate searched until he found what he needed. Producing a basic flip phone, he'd return and hold it out to her. "<i>Customer couldn't pay the whole thing, so we traded on a phone and he paid the bill. Still works.</I>"
  91.
  92. Universal She just hadn't a clue that he would even be able to make those pots and pans, but then again just looking at the wall in front of her littered with items why couldn't he? It was a thought best later put aside for now and come back around to maybe when it comes to dinner they could get something real to eat instead of wild life. This wasn't going to work without some kind of changes, but for noe the thought of this party was now fully on her mind, despite, the slight throbbing of her fingers. It wasn't more than a couple of small cuts that would easily heal by the next day anyways. So the worry wasn't even there at all over them, but it wasn't the most happiest feeling in the world. Yes it was completely ruined oh well, it was just a dress after all right? Just sad it was one of her favorites as her lips curled into a small pout as if glaring at the mud it would be easily removed just by her staring angrily at it. Though she would tilt her head up at him as he spoke of going shopping, maybe he really wasn't that bad at all "well, I suppose that would be nice, maybe some real food too?" She questioned as she felt her stomach grumbling. Then glancing down at the bucket as she pulled out the dress after he had melted the ice again and began to sing it out again and just to hang it to dry over the fire. "Yes, it's easier to talk to people with a phone. This can just be used for rags or something I suppose" she sighed a bit as she sat back down and watched Shale go over searching for something and then tilted her head a bit as she looked at the phone, it was indeed ancient "Well I suppose this is convenient, but this thing is ancient compared to what they have now" she told him with a slight giggle as she flipped it open and gently turned it on and then began to dial the number she learned by heart waiting for it to ring and be answered "Hello, Mr. Toshiba, it's Miss Miki" she spoke gently on the phone "oh I'm well, but I have two issues, I have lost all control badly of my powers, and I need something to control them" she began gently. "And the second issue is, well, I have a um, new friend, that well basically is an incarnate, and it seems that it's getting more difficult for him, and I know you could help??" She asked him curiously. Well she didn't even know if he was her friend or what this whole situation was, or was there more? Ugh this would work for now, that is still a conversation that would need to have of course she knew it was meant for companionship, but what exactly did that entail. "Oh, you can! Thank you! It would be very wise to get here quickly as possible then, if you can?" She asked gently and a smile dance across her face brightly just as she was excited over this."Oh hold on let me ask" she told him and covered the phone "Shale what's the near by town called?" She asked as her purple hues looked up at him, maybe there was a spark of something there.
  93.
  94. Shale "<i>I hardly use phones.</I>" He shrugged. Shale saw nothing wrong with what he had, so long as it didn't break. Honestly, he didn't know how to get a hold of the man paying the bill anyway. Someone still was though, so he wouldn't complain. Maybe if things turned for the better, he may try to upgrade. For now though, Ari had a phone. He took notice of the expressions towards the dress and while she made the call, he'd look it over. The incarnate didn't have anything here that could work on it, which pointed to town once more. There was a chance someone there could maybe fix it? Or make her a new one exactly like it? He would have to sneak it somehow as he figured it'd be a nice surprise. If he could dabble in all materials, he'd do it himself. Alas, his own scales as well as metals were his forte. The thought of seeing her try to walk around in an iron skirt brought a bit of amusement. She wouldn't be a 'flower' anymore, but an 'Iron Maiden' without the spikes. She had her own thorns and he'd seen them first hand last night. His attention veered from the dress as she spoke about a 'friend' and listened to the rest of it. Shale almost seemed to strain to hear the man's reply, but couldn't. The excitement she expressed had kindled his own, though he kept it at bay. "<I>Rowan Lakes. California, I think.</i>" He replied. "<i>How fast would he get here?</i>" More out of curiosity rather than rushing.
  95.
  96. Universal "Well, that is a bit obvious from just looking around" she told him gently as her eyes gazed about the cave, it needed fixed, if this was where she was going to spend the rest of her life. There just had to be a way to build something more of a home there, because muddy floors would ruin every thing she would get in the way of dresses. "Thank you" she told Shale as she then removed her hand and told the man. "Rowan Lake's California. How soon do you think you can be here?" She asked gently and nodded her head a bit "Alright then, we'll probably be around town then, I'll keep the phone on me, and just call this number back" she told him. "I will, as you be safe as well" she spoke, then hung up the phone. She always hated byes, they felt kind of permanent, something that always left a bad taste in her mouth as she had ever spoke them. "Alright he said he'd be here in about four hours, that he had to dig out what he needed first and make sure he had materials to craft what we need, then he'd be here" she told him as she gently laid the phone down next to her. The one thing she was nervous about was trying to figure out a way to explain this situation to Mr. Toshiba, and how to get around the dark twisted details of her coming to be with Shale. A sigh left her lips as her small hands came to rub against her face. "Okay, unless there is anything else that you want to do, could we go?" She asked him gently as she stood to her feet picking the phone back up and holding it out to him.
  97.
  98. Shale True, the cave was in a very sad state. It nearly reflected him in a way. Then again, what animal really had a pristine cave? So long as it was warm and dry, there wasn't much else needed. It would however be a plus to have a water and food source nearby. Shale had no problem locating those, but as the prey moved further away, the wyvern became more in use. It made life more simple that way. Ground was covered much faster this way at the price of eating away at his humanity. He made alot of stupid choices, yes, and it wouldn't stop at this rate. The incarnate would be his own downfall soon enough. It wasn't thought on now though, for he had other obligations. Four hours? "<i>Does he live nearby?</I>" He questioned. Just that time, to gather what Mr Toshiba needed and be on his way. The thought that she could go with him came to mind again. Someone powerful could protect her, in case the wyvern decided to track Ari down again. Once more she had the chance to be free. When the phone was held out to him, Shale shook his head. "<i>Keep it. You said you'd hold onto it.</I>" Honestly, she'd have better use of the device than he did. It'd surely be safer in her hands too. The incarnate would turn to the back of the cave once more and walk over to some rock. Moving them around, there was a hidden hole there where he stored his money. A variety of currency was gathered, which he knew would over any dress or material she wanted. He had plenty more where that came from too. The wyvern seemed to bristle inside him and a steamed growl escaped his throat. Shale shook his head and took a deep breath. It was to keep her, he thought. If the beast wanted her to stay so badly, Ari at least needed to be happy. It would soon settle and he'd return the rocks before going back to her. "<I>Ready.</i>" Then he'd look down and back to her. "<i>We'll look into shoes too.</i>" He couldn't offer her any, seeing as his feet were much bigger than hers. If she couldn't make the journey though, he could always give her a piggy back ride.
  99.
  100. Universal Things, had settled down a bit since she made the phone call, and Mr. Toshiba had arrived, but it had surprised the man to learn that Arisu was living with a Wyvern Now this was very odd and out of place even for her, of course he asked her how she had gotten to living with Shale, of course she was completely terrified with how she should of responded. But it came to her in the last minute, it was simple it was her choice to stay, so she flowed with that and in telling him she chose to stay. It wasn't a lie and it wasn't the truth, it was just basic information really. Her voice though seemed to remain soft and steadfast in her words. She assured him though things there were fine, she had even been wearing one of her newest dresses Shale had actually bought her. Mr. Toshiba though seemed to take her word for things, but by the city time during their conversation of making Shale into a snowman, he quickly moved to dealing with Arisu's issues. He couldn't understand how her powers had gotten so bad, and currently she refused to tell him what had actually happened, but let it go for the time being as he quickly crafted what Arisu would need a simple full cherry blossom blooming flower pendant. That worked all, but for the snowman issue, it seemed to stay and Arisu giggled a few times over it. Then soon enough Mr. Toshiba delt with Shale, his was a bit more tricker and in-depth, but we'll worth it. It required another almost unknown talent of his, etching, even in his horns, combined with the incantation and a special powered that would almost glow as if they were fire and apart of him the moments he shifted, or at leas was about to, at will though. It would be much easier for him to change back and forth now and without losing his human thoughts. It gave him more control over himself, which would dramatically slow the rate in which the beast could erode what was left of the man. Since then Shale, seemed to change a bit more? Ari couldn't understand it completely. She wasn't even sure how many dresses more he brought home since then. It caused a blush each time, but she want more to explore a bit. She had finally convinced him to let her do so, and she didn't go to far before he wanted her back again. Least it wasn't as a scary Dragony beast ready to kill her, and in his more human form, it seemed to fit him. But today she wanted to go out further. "Shale?" She approached him her voice was soft, yet still elegant, after rest and food real food that was she was feeling physically much better, maybe even a bit more attached too. "I'm going to explore a bit more, and want to go out a bit further, and I will come back..promise?" She asked softly. It still didn't matter she was still quite frightened of him to, even with Mr. Toshiba's help in the matter. The other emotions for the most part had faded a bit more and weren't as bad either, but still they lingered there, and going out to explore a little on her own seemed to make her quite happy. It was her home now too? Why couldn't she have this? It wasn't like if she needed anything she could always scream right? Either way, it was something she wanted, plus it was fun finding all different types of creatures to watch, or meet, some were simply harmless.
  101.
  102. Shale Shale was trying his best to get on Ari's good graces. He didn't want her to continue to fear him, hell, it wasn't his intentions in the first place. What he wanted was a friend or maybe someone to...Take care of him? Not that he was a child or nothing, not that he'd force anyone to lay with him, but to be...There as support. As someone who wouldn't go away and maybe bring him back should things get bad. Maybe even end him. Yet, he hadn't created a damn thing to stop the wyvern should the need arise. Either out of it's own doing or his fear. Shale wasn't ready to simply give in and die. Making something for his own demise was just out of the question. The town, Ari, they would have to figure out a way to stop him. Thankfully though, her 'Mr. Toshiba' was a talented man. One that had ways of coralling the beast and his worries of death and destruction would be more controlled. He was however skeptical of the man's powers until they came into action. Though he still had some height to him, the scales had receded as did the reptilian head. No pain really, just soreness here and there as well as a headache afterwards. Before the wyvern covered so much 'ground' on him, Shale was able to change at will and without a hint of pain. Just like breathing as someone had commented. Abuse of it though did have it's consequences, well proven in his current state. Even with the etchings and whatever else Mr Toshiba did, Shale still had horns. He wouldn't complain though, oh no no. His hands had examined his face. HIS face, something he hadn't felt or seen in soooo long. It was almost cruel, his first thoughts being that this was some sort of trick. No, it was very much real. His rejoice and relief couldn't be put into words, but oh how it was felt! It was just radiating off him. Ari was buried in SOOOO many dresses and whatever her teacher wanted, he got without hesitation. Ari also gained freedom, to an extent. She was still his possession, as much as he didn't want to think that. She could come and go as she pleased, but the damn beast was a selfish one. It would still make him antsy when she was gone too long. Ari always came back though like she promised and still the trust lacked on his end. Hopefully that would stop soon, but until then, the woman had a bit of a curfew. That curfew was whenever he couldn't stand her being gone any longer. He would try though, maybe even tie himself to a boulder in the cave or something to keep from going after her. Maybe keep himself busy with projects. Yes, those were even improving with his mood. His old stuff still hung on the walls of the cave, appearing like the place had its own metal scales. Shields of all sorts, swords where they could be placed here and there, those were most common. Anything else laid in piles or upon rocky shelves. He was currently in the cave, looking up on the shimmery wall, looking upon himself. How long had it been since he could wear real clothes? Could look upon himself and not see a monster, an animal staring back? When Ari spoke, his attention veered to her. "You always do." Came his more human voice. Gods, how odd did it sound to him! His attention then went to the fire pit and back to her. "I'll start dinner." Which pretty much consisted of unseasoned cooked meat and raw in his case. That didn't appear to change one bit and she'd eventually need to show him how to properly make a meal.
  103.
  104. Wyvern Baby It is said that infants are brought into this world born with the necessary body and instincts to preserve them until adulthood and that they demonstrate these skills almost immediately after exiting the womb. Giraffe offspring, after plummeting six feet, can stand within a half hour to an hour of being born. Their two pair of spindly legs propel them into motion soon after. Sea turtles hatch from eggs in sand and travel to the ocean to take cover, faced with predators from the moment they pierce the shell. Human children, of which this particular dormant breed has never encountered before, are born wailing. Their first instincts are to cry for help, for their family, for nourishment. And so they walk the Earth, until their eventual extinction. But far beneath rock and forgotten by the world is a clutch of eggs the likes of which have not felt sunlight on their backs in millions of years. Only one them is hatching, though all their hearts are pumping blood. Eggshell cracks. The egg on the top of the pile in the nest choked by dust and debris is sliced open with claws sharper than a blade. The infant does not use its egg tooth, set at the front of its opening mouth. What emerges is covered in scales pale in color, which could change hue later in life. Out slithers a wyvern, with forelimbs and elongated fingers supporting leathery wings. The back limbs are strong, with corded muscle under fresh skin and other tissues. A long tail with a wicked barb on it slashes the air as the creature climbs down from the pile. It is two feet long, a foot and a half in height. What is a wyvern's first instincts? To run, to hide from predators? No. Self-preservation. The infant wiggles out of a tiny gap in the rocks an hour after birth, blood and yolk and shell dripping from its body. This will be the only one to hatch alive from the clutch of eggs. Out from the depths of the earth does the creature climb, the heat of the rock surrounding it radiating in waves, as if it is from hell itself. It scrambles through holes in the Earth and over rock until it perches atop a mound of pebbles at the top of a mountain range. Cool night air causes the creature to emit a hiss. Raising its head, the infant blinks and gazes upon the moon for the first time in its very short life. The moon is nearly full, which signifies an imperfect birth for an influential creature. Unfurling its wings, the creature draws air into its lungs and releases a sharp cry. The noise echoes down the mountain powerfully. It is another one of the wyvern's skills from birth, that the first shriek is loud enough to alert all to its appearance, thunder to shake a mountain. A warning, that though it is newly arrived, it is not afraid of any that may challenge it.
  105.
  106. Universal Arisu was starting to slowly and quickly come around, the basic definition of Stockholm's syndrome, but how could one blame her, so instead she's accepted it completely she'd never be able to go to far. Accepting what had happened was not easy in the least bit, but with how he reacted the first full day she was there, well, that drives the nail into the coffin of escape happening. But the over kill on the dresses meant that her cheeks remained quite flushed most the day he just kept buying them, it really wasn't necessary either. Mr. Toshiba thought he could potentially see that there was going to be more between the two, but kept that bit of information to himself. As far as his payment went all he wanted was some good jasmine tea, which he was surprised that Shale had agreed to do so, and that it had turned out better than he thought. Though it did take quite a toll on his physical body that he ended up just taking a train and plane home, it was way to much energy to teleport, which he no longer had after that particular enchantment spell of an etching. There was indeed a lot of power hidden under the surface, a few times he seen Arisu look at him with slight fearfulness in her eyes. Other times it seemed she wanted to be near him, either she was a bit of a shy child or just plain crazy. Either way after he had left them he called to inform Airo of the situation a bit and what had happened, that was something that would quickly get Airo back on a plans and home as quickly as possible. Though Ari was unsure why he seemed to glow so much from his etchings, but it seemed to be more bearable for him, so she would let him have that. She was getting used to his fetching of her, and what it was that her limits seemed to be, and going to town alone was still off the table, but she wouldn't push it. She smiled a bit brighter as she heard his words she knew it would be allowed at that, though they soon turned into a disgusted frown. "No!" She shouted a bit before blushing darkly and clearing her throat "I mean, I-I will do it when...I get back...I can't take another night...of unflavored food" she told him gently she looked up at him. "You can still...um catch it if you desire to.."she told him softly as she picked up the basket he brought her. She had gently made her way towards the edge of the cave before giving a small gentle "I'll return soon.." She told him and out she went deeper into the woods. Shuffling through the area spotting different wild herbs she could use. Some rosemary, thyme, basil, even a few left over chilly peppers. It wasn't much considering it was winder time, but enough to season it tonight until he took her to town. But as she was going along she had wondered up towards the mountain side, and heard it. She froze a moment thinking she was hearing things, then it went again; a familiar cry, but one much younger than the one she was used to. Slowly making her way up to the side, her purple hues suddenly then spotted the tiny baby Wyvern. How that baby get all the way up here all alone? She would slowly approached the small dragon like creature "Hey there sweetie, it's cold out here, let's get you some food and somewhat warm?" She offered as she gently held out her arms. If the baby was willing she would pick them up and gently carry them down the mountain side and back towards the cave so she could show and tell Shale that they had to take care of the tiny little one, but she mostly hoped wouldn't of been angry with her.
  107.
  108. Shale Some day, maybe soon, would they head into town. Shale just needed time to get use to this new magic, to make sure it kept the wyvern at bay. So far so good, it wasn't fighting him as bad as before. Never would he expect the beast to fully tame, but at least it was being tolerable now. Another couple days and then he'd chance it. For now it'd be her venturing the woods. The woods, that could be full of danger. How stupid could he be to allow her to go? Well, she wasn't completely defenseless. Her powers too had been affected and boy could she pack a punch with them. He got 'snowmaned' quite a few times and escaping that had issues. A powerful being like himself, couldn't get out of balled up snow and ice. What surprised him though was the sudden outburst. No, he wouldn't be allowed to cook. That's how he understood it. Yet, Shale took no insult to it. Everyone had their tastes and his lacked horribly in the meal department. Raw or scorched meat, without a hint of flavorful aid. He was gruff and could handle it, she on the other hand was a lady. Ari had refined tastes and he'd been giving her 'slop'. "Already done." Hunting was needed this evening, all he needed to do was pull the meat from the thick snowy pit he had it in and start cooking. Despite how warm the cave was, he had places that were cooler towards the back. Shoveling in clean snow helped preserve it. "As you wish." He was being very compliant and soon went back to looking his shields over. Shale may be overdoing it with his own reflection, but who knew when he'd remotely see himself again. It was too much of a good thing right there and he feared he'd lose it again. Time passed, how much he didn't know. Lost in his reflection, the screeing sound soon drew his attention. Well, not just his. He could feel the beast waken some and it caused the etching on his left horn to glow. Calming the beast once more, but it got him to move. Once he got to the front of the cave, he debated whether or not to go check the source. Maybe he was hearing things? He waited to listen again for the call. If none came, he was going to turn around and go back.

  110. Wyvern Baby The appearance of some green beast so soon after their cry is welcomed. It seems to have tendrils of lighter colors extending from the upper limbs and a wide base which darkens further down. The light noises from its mouth does not intimidate it. The wyvern infant has no idea what horrendous manner of creature this is(it is Arisu in her green dress). Nevertheless, this is a worthy opponent! Snout twitching, the wyvern takes a step forward. Rearing back on hind legs and using its tail for balance, those forelimbs slash the air in front of them while the wings beat, creating a current of air that ruffles the grass in front of them. A most fearsome cry echoes through the air. Dropping down to all four feet, the creature charges, taking one side. It skids when it nears the other with their back limbs digging into the earth. The arm closest to the creature raises, claws cutting through green flesh. The cut is deep and they meet no resistance. Triumphant, for no opponent could withstand a mighty blow like that, the wyvern baby scampers off into the night, in search of prey. It is not honorable to feast upon the carcass of an enemy. It doesn't realize that all it had done is tear a series of holes in the woman's dress and then waddled off in the direction of the cave she came from. In fact, they pass right by the cave opening before angling to head deeper into the forest. A piece of gray shell that had been stuck to its back slides off, the only evidence of the creature. It isn't big enough to leave tracks yet. Hunting comes naturally for the creature, which snags a few squirrels and mice, unaware of anyone nearby who could be watching. Who would DARE spy on the wyvern so soon after winning its first challenge?!

  112. Universal Arisu was begin as patient as she could with everything, she was just at least glad that Mr. Toshiba had brought her something really to eat when he got into the town. It made her realize though she really needed to get things for them to cook with/in, she had yet to ask Shale to make them, maybe she would after surprising him with a bit of the herb flavoured food she had in mind for tonight's dinner. Wait. Why was she doing this again? Right, making a bad situation into a good one, remembering easily she was his and there was no point. At least he finally let her go out to get some fresh air and a good walk in at least now. Though she did want to go shopping for some salt and pepper and a few other spices, maybe to try and find what he liked best? Why did she care? Because she could never really escape who she was despite how much she felt that she was broken, inch by inch, Shale was winning her over, to what exactly she hadn't the faintest idea. She regained some control over her powers, but that issue, it could just be a subconscious thing that won't go away. A Shale covered snowman always managed to get her a giggle a bit before removing it, at least now she could take it back, but the powers of her's weren't truly under her full control. Another reminder of what Zada did to her and the anger she felt over it. Shoving that aside at her outburst and flushed red cheeks "I mean...not that I'm grateful ... I just want to try something um a bit new?" She questioned a bit and then wanted to hide she felt like an idiot. Why should she feel this way? She would just nod and quickly head off wondering why she couldn't sort through her emotions around the man. Soon enough though she was distracted by the baby Wvyern, it had been a while since she read the lore books about them, but they still needed parents right? Where was his? Hers? Their? She couldn't really tell as the baby was so small and chucky, so she went with their, and knew that if there were anymore Wvyern around she was sure Shale would know right? Either way she approached to pick up the cutie pie, only to get her dress torn at and a frown crossed her face as it was still her most favorite new one. She liked it so much as Shale managed to remember the sizes and get it to fit perfectly! She would follow the small baby as they waddled about she was a bit upset, and soon enough was storming towards the baby right past the opening, of her and Shale's home, after the tiny creature. Soon approaching the baby after it's small meal, Arisu would pluck the baby right up and glare at them. But this time she was prepared and kept the baby at a good distance from her dress and made her way back to the cave and Shale. "I'm not your prey or an enemy" she said as one of her warm fluffy ninetails wrapped around the baby it would feel soft and warm, to show the tiny creature she didn't mean any harm after picking her basket back up again she would shuffle right into the cave. "Um.....Shale...I may have found someone? I'm not sure what you call baby Wyvern's? It's not like they actually went over that bit in the lore" she spoke softly as she slowly brought out the small baby from behind her back wrapped in one of her tails, and probably chewing on it, which didn't really bother her.

  114. Shale Had Shale known that the baby had tried to attack Ari…It would have been hunted down and smashed deep into the dirt. Or, should it be a pain to capture, he would incinerate the entire area. There’d be no point in hiding from him. Instead, he was oblivious to what was going on between the two. Torn away from the reflective shields, he would remain near the cave’s mouth and listen. That was his choice instead of returning to look upon himself. He would listen and hear a repeat of that cry though. Why did it bother him? The etching on his horn glowed again and his hand went to it. Shale rubbed the marking as if it were to calm the beast. The sound was small, singular, surely nothing to be worried about. Ari was out there, maybe running into whatever it was…She can handle herself, truly, he needed to give her that chance. What if she couldn’t? She can she can! Damn his racing thoughts and worry. Was it worry or his want to keep her in the cave? She would be safer that way, probably not out getting chewed on by something else-whathefuckisthat?! He’d spot something scurrying about which finally silenced his mind. Both he and the wyvern where trying to register what just waddled on by. It…Was a turtle yes? It had to be. He’d never seen anything with a shell like that. Yet, as he tried to convince himself it was one, Shale stepped further out of the cave and watched where the baby had gone to. Should he follow it….? Well, that would answer Ari’s thoughts if he had known there was another like him around. Then again, the child that passed on by was a born wyvern, so maybe not in the same boat as he was. Shale’s situation was more akin to entity trapped inside his body and tapped into when needed. The incarnate didn’t go much further, soon spotting Ari and how she seemed to be…Stalking something? Ok, stalking wasn’t the word, but she was doing something and it appeared aimed at the shell thing. Well, if the turtle would make her happy, he was fine with it. He expected her to catch the creature and bring it back. However, he wasn’t prepared with what it really was. “Someone?” He questioned. Baby… “What now?” And of course that further got his beast’s attention. Etching still glowing and even some yellow was seeping into his green gaze. The incarnate would lean a bit closer to the baby, almost akin to how a cat would. Being the territorial sort, Shale didn’t look impressed at all. He wasn’t mad or pissed with her at all, but he did suddenly bare his teeth and hiss at the baby.
  115.
  116. Wyvern Baby The baby wyvern is... shocked. That's a first. Literally, that is a first. It doesn't know what to do after being scooped up, its eyes comically wide. Lots of firsts. First encounter, first challenger, first shock, first time being picked up, first time feeling fur, first time being mothered, as if it needs such a thing. The wyvern is quickly coming out of its shock as they pass through the cave entrance, tail lashing about and probably tearing new holes in that dress. Another being catches its attention and it looks up to see some sort of hybrid draconian. All in all, this is a very odd day for the baby. Ah! A true challenge!!! The baby is not afraid! It opens its mouth very wide, even unhinging its jaw. The cry it emits is not quite a roar, not yet, but it is definitely at some level above a mere hiss. Wriggling around forcefully, it slithers out of the first challenger's grip, dropping to the floor. The two foot long wyvern beats it wings in the air and cries louder. The strangest part about this display is that its SCALES start to move, shifting about until they raise. This has two purposes, to create a sound with the scales like a rattlesnake and to make it appear bigger than it is. Everything considered, it is a very strange threat response.

  118. Universal Arisu was getting a bit better at using her abilities, but not by much, which made her thankful for the pendant to at least keep most of them in check, other than the snow issues with Shale. She did adore the dress though, but it was torn in places after the first few moments of encountering the newborn baby Wvyern. She couldn't entirely be too upset, as worse things have happened other than a few tears in her green dress, which she was sure she could fix it. Just needed to get a few materials from town and it would be good as new, maybe even a bit better. Being trained up as a Lady she ended up knowing how to do a lot of things, but being a natural fox was something she would forever be inept at, and not for the lack of trying on her part. But after the first bit of commotion she was so focused on going after the small creature that she hadn't even seen Shale standing out of the cave a bit, she wondered if he was worried about her, or was just giving her time. Yet stalking after it she was not, she still kept herself upright as a lady, but quite light on her feet even with the dress being as long as it was. She was determined to catch this baby and bring him home, why though was beyond her? Maybe it was she seen the tiny creature as a bit helpless, especially after 'attacking' her. It seemed to not even have a clue of how much bigger she was compared to itself, and instead ended up catching her dress and not her thankfully. She had a feeling that Shale would be more upset over it than she might of been. It wasn't as if they knew better, after all, it had yet been trained up properly like a good little Wvyern, so here she was with baby in tow, in her tail, it would feel like a fluffy warm animal or bear to snuggle into. She couldn't help her reasoning, besides there were things even much more bigger and dangerous than the small baby, it needed watching, plus didn't want anyone else to get hurt or such. After walking back to the cave she was a bit surprised at the desire to wiggle free so quickly came about, maybe a tad bit to rough, a small "ouch" passed her lips. And a slight jump at Shale's baring of his teeth, and hissing noise "Yes, I figured...the baby needed looking after" the little attempt at the cry made her giggle a bit, it sounded so adorable to her ears, while he flapped there sounding like a little rattle snake and their attempt to look big. She had already seen Shale, and that was a whole lot scarier and frightening than the creature attempted to be. "I think he just looks so adorable!" She told him with a soft giggle. How could she not be afraid of this baby Wvyern, it was because it was so tiny and cubby and to her looked adorable, and hardly anything to fear of it for a while at least, then again there was Shale too, one thing she come to know, was he worried over her hand and foot.
  119.
  120. Shale No amount of thank you could ever express how he felt now. Thanks to Ari getting her mentor to help him, he was in much better spirits. Him and the wyvern seemed to be polar opposites. Him having more patience while it did not. Him being nicer, while it was meaner and could truly care less about the lives of others. The baby for instance, brought on an aggressive feeling that needed to be held back. He could EASILY squash it or set it ablaze and not blink. Problem solved and they'd be alone again with no competition. The incarnate didn't sense other dragons and the like about...Then again he hardly ever left his cave and really didn't know if they COULD sense each other. Shale lowered a bit, almost dropping to all fours as he zeroed in on the mini intruder. This was HIS cave and he was going to make sure the baby knew it. The defensive stance it took did make him pause. Unsure of whether or not to just thump it or laugh. The sound it emitted though did hurt his head after a moment or so, causing the incarnate to wince. Ari's words though were picked through the sounds and he'd look towards her. "Not here." He said quickly. Oh, Shale knew where this was going. He was too focused on the current situation to notice her dress. Even if he did see it, he'd think she'd caught it on something. Shortly after his words though, he'd try to circle the baby and watch it. "Where was it?" Maybe they'd just drop it back to the nest. Nest...Did it have a parents? More siblings? Why did she bring the baby HERE?! "Was it alone?" Now semi forgotten, he'd move away from the baby and look out the mouth of the cave. Sky first then the woods. There was a chance he could take out another wyvern, but two? More than unlikely.
  121.
  122. Wyvern Baby The first time they create a fire in the wyvern's presence, they will be utterly surprised at the speed which it will launch itself into the flames. This breed of wyvern loves fire and is very fire resistant, inside and out. Soon it will eat rocks for its fire stomach to digest, so then it can produce either flames or molten rock from its mouth. When the hybrid lowers himself, the wyvern raises its body. Oh, so he is submitting to their superior rule?? A wise decision. The creature circles the hybrid and when he turns away, so does the baby. It smells... blood. Prey. Hunt. Food. Skittering over to one side of the cave, it inspects one of the lower pockets where food it stored. The white, frigid substance that had coated the ground outside is present. The wyvern remembers how it burned and stung their scales. Hissing at it, they retreat, claws sliding on the rock ground of the cave. They bump into the opposite wall of the cave. It clearly isn't adjusted to its own body yet. Hissing now at the wall of the cave, its head raises and it stares with yellow eyes at the pair in the cave entrance. Its pupils are wide in the dim light.
  123.
  124. Universal Wait what was she thinking, she should be afraid of him, and hate him, yet it wasn't turning out that way, he did seem much nicer after getting help from her sensei. She figured that he seemed much more happier as of late, and it gave her a better sense of comfort,in its own odd ways, was she really coming to maybe like Shale a bit? Good gravy what was going on in her head as of late? Well after the first few days of terror it seemed to have gotten much better at least, it wasn't like he hadn't taken care of her better, maybe even just accepting this was going to be her life now there was no changing that. So in this she mise well find something new to do and well it looked as if it would be a mothering role, she did dream about doing it some day with having a few of her own. Though romantic feelings for Shale seemed to be wishy washy internal battles, with knowing she would be stuck til she died, maybe she should give it time and give herself a bit of a mixed family then, what could it hurt?. But Ari needed to convince Shale first to keep the baby, she knew it would be work, couldn't be that hard and that was life was about experiencing new things, so why not this? "But Shale.." She started back at him as she looked from him to the baby, how could anyone not find the creature adorable. "I found him crawling out of a bit of a mountain side not to far from here" she began this was it she HAD to convince him! "Even with how little you do go out, you would of easily seen others, but he was alone crawled out of the rocks where it was laid at" she told him gently, though the sounds of her voice had a bit of pleading to them. Hearing the baby shuffle off into the cave more probably looking for food, speaking of which, she was quite hungry herself. After chasing that baby, she needed food too, then she glanced at the creature and giggled as she watched him run into a wall of the cave. "See look, baby can't even manage his own body that well yet, plus you know it's scary out there, what if the little one gets hurt or does bad damage to things or innocent people.." She told Shale as she shuffles the the snow to pull out a few pieces of meat to start dinner. "Come here little one" she called to the baby and gently ushered him towards the fire, if the baby would allow it. "There is plenty of yummy food, your papa will always get plenty for us to eat, but it would be better if he'd ever let your mama to go to town to get some much needed things" she spoke, giving a pretty big hint, and maybe small dig at Shale for his worrying self all the time. Just as she started to cut up a few pieces of meat and rubbed them down with the herbs.
  125.
  126. Shale The baby wasn't his responsibility, so it would go further unnoticed. At least for the moment. Shale was concerned with the repercussions of Ari's pure intentions. That baby couldn't have just popped out of nowhere. There had to be a nest, parents...Parents that may come looking for it. Good God, she might as well have fussed with a bear cub right in front of the mother! Although that death wouldn't be as swift as what a dragon could do. Fire would destroy in no time if done right. What if they wanted to try and torture her? All because the baby was removed. He was still looking, listening, straining for any sort of roar, flap of wings, claws grazing, ANYTHING. Instead he got the nightly sounds and soon Ari's voice piercing his alertness. Her words were true, but then again...He wasn't a natural wyvern. Who knew what talents they had that he didn't possess. Him with his magical flames, theirs with their inborn abilities. Maybe he was panicking over nothing...But...Something had to keep the baby warm. Eggs usually didn't hatch in the cold. Even rocks only held so much. Not too far from here, how could he have missed that?! The etching continued its glow and he scratched at it. Shale was over-reacting, and after a few moments he quietly chastised himself for doing so. Turning back to them, he'd look over his shoulder then finally give up. "Maybe you're right." He admitted, but didn't sound convinced. Her tone of voice though, the pleading to keep the baby... His green gaze flicked to where it once was before turning to the back of the cave. Sure fire evidence that the creature wouldn't survive out there. Then there was the whole 'wild wyvern' deal. if it did manage to survive, it could cause alot of damage to innocent people. That's what his tried to do on occasion. It wouldn't take long to convince him, although a brow was raised at being called 'papa'. "I...suppose I could watch it while you go to town." He offered. "But it needs to learn to pick its battles better." Shale got a bit closer to them once Ari started preparing the food. "Do you have a name for it yet?"
  127.
  128. Wyvern Baby The wyvern refuses to move unless it is of their own accord. Wyverns are stubborn, proud creatures, much like dragons. They cannot be forced to do anything. This being said, the baby is still wandering around the cave, exploring this... rock prison. It literally has no clue what the others are discussing or meaning to do. They've established their dominance, which the pair have accepted. Hmph. The little monarch requires food, which the green one is beginning to prepare promptly and without instruction. Good. Is that.. fire? The color is off. The wyvern creeps closer, those eyes focusing on the flame as their pupils narrow. It is warm, not the searing heat from whence they emerged from. But it will suffice for now. The infant waddles hurriedly past them to return to the heat, wriggling under a pair of logs until it is comfortable. Its long tail curls around and over other logs in the fire, the tip twitching in contentment like a feline's.
