- At first invisible to the naked eye, a single star descends from the sunlit heavens, trailing
- sparkles that glitter and evanesce as it draws near. Ultimately tiny - yet radiant with its
- effulgent iridescence all the same - it settles in your hands, quietly twinkling.
- Like a wisp of glimmering delight, this infinitesimally small star
- drifts here, flashing radiance reminiscent of diamonds catching and
- casting prisms in the sun. Unlike them, however, the iridescent light
- cascading from this heavenly body radiates from within. Its touch is a
- mild but bracing comfort, a breath of nighttime tranquillity that can be
- cradled in the palm but never fully caged between closed fingers. Even
- in hand, its weightless form eludes possession, gently buoyed by its own
- charmed and wishful existence as though questing for release into the
- skies from whence it came.
- It has 66 months of usefulness left.
- It weighs 1 ounce(s).
- It bears the distinctive mark of Vaevaya, the Refulgent.
- It is folded from vellum into an action origami.
- It is closed and you can not see inside of it.
- It has the following aliases: star, origami, actionorigami.
- Catching the descent of the star from the periphery of their visions, many of the
- eyes within Avaris's wings flick up to trace the glimmering object as it nears, their regard open
- and curious, but not alarmed. Cupping the twinkling, brilliant object carefully in the bowl of his
- conjoined hands, the light it gives off glitters and shines off the lustrous, burnished gold of the
- kephera's chitin as he studies it with restrained delight.
- A coruscating star unfolds and sings to you, "Thank you for playing with me, Avaris! I hope you will
- wish upon me tonight, as I make this wish upon you - that you see yourself how I see you, fiercely
- bright and glowing like a steady beacon of light to guide us all."
- A coruscating star flutters apart in wisps of vellum and disappears from your hands.
- A shimmer of starlight ripples across the late afternoon sky, an iridescent wave of greeting before
- its glimmer recedes once more into the fading sunlight.
- Turning his great, helm-like head up to the sky, Avaris lifts his right pair of
- hands up in a stately arc of greeting in turn, eyes glittering with motes of shining light.
- You think to yourself: "Ah, she is such a wonderful being. Even where she not a star, I think, she
- would brighten all around her simply by existing." The lively voice replayed once more, the words
- considered with a benign gravity. "Is that how she sees me? Perhaps it is merely the reflections of
- others upon my armour. Still - I shall be sure to make a wish upon you, good-hearted Lady."
- ((Later!))
- Across the heavens, the stars and moon challenge night's dark reign, revealing familiar
- constellations that tell the tales of myth and legend.
- Clasping his hands together before him, fingers interlocked into a bludgeon of
- deadly points and adamant plating, Avaris turns his head up to the night sky, looking upon the stars
- in silence.
- You think to yourself: "What should I wish for? I could pretend that I would be so noble as to wish
- for peace and an end to the world's suffering, but...What I really wish for, Lady Vaevaya, is for
- Her to be happy. With or without me."
