She ducks behind one of the piles of debris and gets a look at the girl's injuries. A large part of Sindr's exposed skin is beginning to colour from bruising, and some soft spots that should not be soft indicate broken bones where she took the hit.]

  10. [1:36:47 PM CDT] * [Multi]_Meadow marshals the other Wayward soldiers, and rallies them behind Hanne.
  11. [1:52:58 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> [By the time you start moving, the combat capable have mostly drained from the chamber, chasing after the few that had gotten out. Not a great result as the vampires have the speed and the knowledge of the layout of their own complex. However, the injuries sustained in the seige of this grand hall had created a lot of wounded and dying and Hanne can hurry out based on where the line of other injured are being brought out. Meadow ends up
  12. [1:52:58 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> having to wait for Rodyon and Lilaa as they carry the still confused Neya down the drop at the bottom of the broken stairs, and end up some time behind Hanne. Along the way, Hanne passes shattered barricades that are being cleaned up by support labourers, beneath ruined lavish decorations and furnishings adorning the walls and ceilings of this ceremonial passage. Eventually she passes the shattered stone doors leading out of the mountain
  13. [1:52:59 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> and the town of tents outside, the cold air crisp compared to the stagnant air within.]
  14. [1:58:12 PM CDT] * [110]_Hanne finds her way to the medical tents and deposits Sindr into the care of the healers there.
  15. [2:02:44 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> [The number of wounded renders the entire support camp a treatment area, and Sindr is hurried away into the mass of cots and healers. A while after, the others emerge from the mountain as the sky begins to turn blue with the coming sun.]
  16. [2:05:34 PM CDT] * [Multi]_Meadow and her delagation seex Hanne out in the array of camp tents. Focusing on the ones providing medical support, it doesn't take long to find her.
  17. [2:05:35 PM CDT] * [110]_Hanne finds a nearby rock and sits down. Exhausted, and feeling the pain of her own wounds creep in, she removes her helmet. As she watches the others approach the camp, she sighs deeply.

  19. [2:06:19 PM CDT] <[110]_Hanne> Yeah. She's in there now.
  20. [2:08:28 PM CDT] * [Multi]_Meadow lets out a breath of her own, relaxing more with it than her other heavy breaths from the rapid exit. She looks over the assembled tents and the shore, then up to the sky.
  21. [2:09:06 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> ...Good. I was worride her injuries might not be quite so bad that they merited more attention than others'. Perhaps the battle has not gone so badly for us.
  22. [2:09:06 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> [By now, Neya doesn't need to be carried, only feeling a bit dizzy but otherwise her mind is of this world.]

  25. [2:14:21 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> No, you're right, we wouldn't. I was only hoping that we might have purchased our victory without so much suffering as we have some in the past.

  27. [2:17:07 PM CDT] * [110]_Hanne stands up from the rock and gathers her gear before walking off.

  29. [2:19:31 PM CDT] * [Multi]_Meadow sighs, collapsing onto Hanne's seat with her head bowed,staring into the dirt.
  30. [2:19:38 PM CDT] * [110]_Neya stumbles around, arriving in time to see Hanne depart. With one hand clutching her head, she looks at Meadow.
  31. [2:19:46 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> I really shouldn't try to talk to her.
  32. [2:19:53 PM CDT] <[110]_Neya> Ooof, my head hurts.
  33. [2:20:28 PM CDT] * [110]_Neya settles onto her shield, using it as support.

  36. [2:23:24 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> Do you need medical attention, Neya? That thing it did in our heads seems to have rattled you much worse than the rest of us.

  40. [2:27:37 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> Not so badly that Hanne didn't feel comfortable carrying her on her own, if that means anything. And she's getting attention from the medics—I wouldn't worry about her.
  41. [2:28:32 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> As far as I know, everyone else has mostly nicks and scrapes; we took our time patching up after the fight on that balcony, and didn't do too badly in the fight against those monsters. Sindr got the worst of it.

  45. [2:33:23 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> I would say so. Unless there's some well of resistance we haven't yet collided with, or there's some secret weapon they're waiting to deploy, it seems to me that our forces are mostly cleaning up what's left of theirs. The signs are certainly favorable.

So the Sarahaans continue to scour the entirety of the mountain, looking for cultural artefacts as much as surviving enemies in hidden spaces, honour-bound to clean this stain from their lands. Tade and Marjolaine happen across Sindr during their work, so they are

  76. [3:15:14 PM CDT] * [Multi]_Meadow spends a while looking at the mountain in the daylight when she wakes. It's clear from the general attitude in camp that the situation is not grave, and she takes her time to rouse herself and seek Sindr in the medical tent.
  77. [3:17:43 PM CDT] * [110]_Neya walks around the camp with her equipment ready, expecting a call to arms. Coincidentally, she spots Meadow when passing the medical tent; entering to find her and the 3 children inside.
  78. [3:21:05 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> [Sindr and Marjolaine are asleep, with Tade braiding some grass he must have picked from the rocks outside.]

  86. [3:29:06 PM CDT] * [110]_Neya looks over at Tade, then Sindr, then to Meadow, and then back to Tade.

  88. [3:29:52 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> Tade: I helped, but less than usual. She is strange.
  89. [3:30:22 PM CDT] * [110]_Neya tilts her head at Tade's remark.

  91. [3:32:54 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> I'm curious to know, too. How is Sindr different from other people?

  98. [3:40:22 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> I haven't heard her say anything about it, either, but she talks to Hanne more than she does with me. That's something to ask her about when she wakes up.

  100. [3:43:33 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> [Tade shrugs, turning his attention back to braiding.]
  101. [3:44:27 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> I suppose so, but I'm not sure whom we'd turn to for that. Some of the more senior healers here, perhaps.

  103. [3:47:29 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> Maybe. But I have the feeling that I continue to make her like me less and less. There's something of a theme, there.

  118. [3:55:28 PM CDT] * [110]_Neya grins brightly at her companions before exiting the tent, leaving Meadow alone with the children.

  121. [3:58:31 PM CDT] * [110]_Hanne enters the medical tent a few minutes after Neya's departure. Walking directly to where Sindr is resting, she looks over her for a few moments before turning to Tade and Meadow.

  123. [3:59:26 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> Tade: She is healing, will be fine in a few days.
  124. [4:00:04 PM CDT] * [110]_Hanne nods before moving towards Tade.

The Sarahaans don't really want us around on their holy ground anyway, and want to keep whatever secrets within to themselves. After that, we just wait for the sand-skiffs to get here in a few days to take the wounded, then we can be done with this sand.

  147. [4:36:44 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> Officer: For the Coalition. We've fulfilled our end of the agreement to divert our army so there's no need for us to stay longer.

  154. [4:44:05 PM CDT] <[Multi]_Meadow> The word is to rest. The Sarahaans are keen to take care of anything else on their own, and for us to move on. Once our forces are well enough to march, we decamp, and leave Sarahaa.

  156. [4:45:18 PM CDT] * [110]_Hanne gets up from the cot as Tade finishes his work.

  158. [4:46:18 PM CDT] <[Cy2]> [Tade gives a small smile and goes back to his prevous spot beside Sindr and Marjolaine with a bit more life in his step.]
