  6.
  7. Welcome to the Dawn of Mana Splits program! This program will help you, a Dawn of Mana speedrunner on your quest for single segment glory! To help you out, this Readme will help you understand the program, so when the time comes, you can focus on your run.
  8.
  9. [Starting the Program]
  10. Double Click on Dawn of Mana Splits. This will launch the program. You will first be presented with the Login Screen. This will ask you for what difficulty you wish to load splits for. These difficulties corrispond to the 4 difficulties of Dawn of Mana: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Ultimate. Click on the difficulty choice you want and click Login. This will open up the main part of the program, which I'll explain the pieces separately.
  11.
  12. [Viewer Display]
  13. The long, horizontal section is the Viewer Display. This section is designed for people's streams to show off your current progress in the run. There are no user configurable controls here. However, the info displayed is simplified to be quickly readable at a glance.
  14.
  15. 1. Difficulty/Chapter. Displays the difficulty being played and what chapter you're currently on.
  16. 2. T.Time - Total time of all segments in the current run.
  17. 3. Diff - Difference at this point in time to your personal best run. Red box = Loss. Gold box = Gain. Green = Neutral (Tie or No Record).
  18. 4. Prior S. - Gain/Loss of the prior segment to the best run of that segment. Red box = Loss. Gold box = Gain. Green = Neutral (Tie or No Record).
  19. 5. Best S. - Best time of the current segment you're running.
  20.
  21. Clicking the X will simply close the display. To close the entire program or to re-open this window, see the [Tray Icon] section.
  22.
  23. This form's position on screen will be recorded, so it will start in the same location upon reloading the program.
  24.
  25.
  26. [Splits Entry]
  27. This form is designed for you, the runner. This will allow you to enter your chapter times and keep progress on how you're doing.
  28.
  29. 1. Segment - The chapters, in order.
  30. 2. Time Entry - Where you put in your chapter times, in sequence.
  31. 3. Seg Best - Best run on that segment, regardless of run.
  32. 4. Run Best - Segment time on your best overall run.
  33.
  34. For time entry, you will put the times that you get on each chapter's results screen, without colons. The program also doesn't use double-digit hours. So if your time was displayed in-game as 00:20:28, you'd enter into the program as 02028 for the program to accept. Pressing [ENTER] will take you to the next chapter.
  35.
  36. To go back a chapter, simply press [MINUS] on either the numberpad or on the main keyboard. This will erase the box that you're currently on and move back a chapter.
  37.
  38. At the bottom is your user menu. Click on the Faye icon to pull up your options.
  39.
  40. 1. Save Times
  41. a. Reload Splits - Erases all current run information (WITHOUT SAVING) to start a new run.
  42. b. Save Splits - Saves all information from a completed run. If a time beats a segmented time, it will save that, even if the overall run was not beaten.
  43.
  44. 2. Difficulty - Erases all current run information (WITHOUT SAVING) and loads saved information for the difficulty you select (much like the [Login Screen]).
  45.
  46. This form's position on screen will be recorded, so it will start in the same location upon reloading the program.
  47.
  48.
  49. [Tray Icon]
  50. Once you login, you'll see an icon in the system tray. This has various options to control the program.
  51.
  52. 1. Show Viewer Display Form - If the [Viewer Display] form is hidden, shows the form.
  53. 2. Show Splits Entry Form - If the [Splits Entry] form is hidden, shows the form.
  54. 3. Hide/Show Forms in Taskbar - Changes whether the [Viewer Display] and [Splits Entry] forms show in the taskbar.
  55. -
  56. 4. Reset Form Positions - Moves the [Viewer Display] and [Splits Entry] forms to the upper left corner of the screen, regardless of where they currently are. Also removes the stored preference info.
  57. 5. Reset Records - Erases all records for all difficulties, including overall runs and best segments. THERE IS NO UNDOING OF THIS.
  58. -
